Victims' associations, social networks and the publication of books have accelerated political and societal awareness of a subject that is still very taboo incest. In this context, the Independent Commission on Incest and Sexual Violence against Children (Ciivise), created in 2021, has the mission to make recommendations on the evolution of public policies for a better protection and care of child victims, and to collect the voice of victims, now adults.
