RESUMEN

Produced by both nature and human activities, sulfur dioxide (SO2) is an important species in the earth's atmosphere. SO2 has also been found in the atmospheres of other planets and satellites in the solar system. The photoabsorption cross sections and photodissociation of SO2 have been studied for several decades. In this paper, we reported the experimental results for photodissociation dynamics of SO2 via the G̃1B1 state. By analyzing the images from the time-sliced velocity map ion imaging method, the vibrational state population distributions and anisotropy parameters were obtained for the O(1D2) + SO(X3Σ-, a1Δ, b1Σ+) and O(1S0) + SO(X3Σ-) channels, and the branching ratios for the channels O(1D2) + SO(X3Σ-), O(1D2) + SO(a1Δ), and O(1D2) + SO(b1Σ+) were determined to be ∼0.3, ∼0.6, and ∼0.1, respectively. The SO products were dominant in electronically and rovibrationally excited states, which may have yet unrecognized roles in the upper planetary atmosphere.

RESUMEN

This paper investigates the problem of optimal preview pinning control for Boolean networks. The primary objective is to design efficient control strategies that leverage future reference information for improved control performance. We propose a policy iteration algorithm specifically for Boolean networks based on an augmented error system, constructed using the state augmentation technique in combination with the Exclusive-Or operator approach. The algorithm effectively optimizes control policies using future information. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

RESUMEN

We investigate the Lyapunov control of finite-dimensional quantum systems with impulsive control fields, where the studied quantum systems are governed by the Schrödinger equation. By three different Lyapunov functions and the invariant principle of impulsive systems, we study the convergence of quantum systems with impulsive control fields and propose new results for the mentioned quantum systems in the form of sufficient conditions. Two numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

RESUMEN

The state transfer problem of a class of nonideal quantum systems is investigated. It is known that traditional Lyapunov methods may fail to guarantee convergence for the nonideal case. Hence, a hybrid impulsive control is proposed to accomplish a more accurate convergence. In particular, the largest invariant sets are explicitly characterized, and the convergence of quantum impulsive control systems is analyzed accordingly. Numerical simulation is also presented to demonstrate the improvement of the control performance.

RESUMEN

In industrial processes, time-delay often occurs in many operations and increases difficulty to control these dynamical systems. In this paper, we propose a distributed Lyapunov economic model predictive control (DLEMPC) method for continuous-time nonlinear systems with input time-delay. Next, we establish sufficient conditions to make the system feasible and stable under our proposed DLEMPC strategy, and bound system state in a region which contains the provided original value. Finally, a chemical process simulation is given to illustrate our theoretical results.

This paper is concerned with mode-dependent impulsive hybrid systems driven by deterministic finite automaton (DFA) with mixed-mode effects. In the hybrid systems, a complex phenomenon called mixed mode, caused in time-varying delay switching systems, is considered explicitly. Furthermore, mode-dependent impulses, which can exist not only at the instants coinciding with mode switching but also at the instants when there is no system switching, are also taken into consideration. First, we establish a rigorous mathematical equation expression of this class of hybrid systems. Then, several criteria of stabilization of this class of hybrid systems are presented based on semi-tensor product (STP) techniques, multiple Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, as well as the average dwell time approach. Finally, an example is simulated to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

This paper investigates the stationary oscillation for an impulsive delayed system which represents a class of nonlinear hybrid systems. First, a new concept of S-stability is introduced for nonlinear impulsive delayed systems. Based on this new concept and fixed point theorem, the relationship between S-stability and stationary oscillation (i.e., existence, uniqueness and global stability of periodic solutions) for the nonlinear impulsive delayed system is explored. It is shown that the nonlinear impulsive delayed system has a stationary oscillation if the system is S-stable. Second, an easily verifiable sufficient condition is then obtained for stationary oscillations of nonautonomous neural networks with both time delays and impulses by using the new criterion. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

RESUMEN

Speckle resides in OCT signals and inevitably effects OCT image quality. In this work, we present a novel method for speckle noise reduction in Fourier-domain OCT images, which utilizes the phase information of complex OCT data. In this method, speckle area is pre-delineated pixelwise based on a phase-domain processing method and then adjusted by the results of wavelet shrinkage of the original image. Coefficient shrinkage method such as wavelet or contourlet is applied afterwards for further suppressing the speckle noise. Compared with conventional methods without speckle adjustment, the proposed method demonstrates significant improvement of image quality.

Using the semi-tensor product, the global control problem of the higher order Boolean control network with avoiding set is considered. First, the number of different control sequences that drive the higher order Boolean control network from the initial state to the destination state while avoiding undesirable set is provided. Then, the definition of global controllability of higher order Boolean control network is given. Third, by using the classical theory of nonnegative matrices, the necessary and sufficient condition for the global controllability of higher order Boolean control network with avoiding set is presented. Furthermore, a sufficient condition for k fixed-time global controllability of the system is also obtained. At last, an example is given to illustrate the main results.

RESUMEN

This paper investigates the controllability and optimal control of a temporal Boolean network, where the time delays are time variant. First, using the theory of semi-tensor product of matrices, the logical systems can be converted into a discrete time variant system. Second, necessary and sufficient conditions for the controllability via two types of controls are provided respectively. Third, optimal control design algorithms are presented. Finally, examples are given to illustrate the proposed results.

RESUMEN

This brief deals with the problem of the observability for the Boolean control networks with time delays in states. First, using semi-tensor product of matrices and the matrix expression of logic, the Boolean control networks with state delays can be converted into discrete time delay dynamics. Then, the observability of the Boolean control networks via two kinds of inputs is investigated by giving necessary and sufficient conditions. Finally, examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the obtained results.

RESUMEN

In this paper, we study stationary oscillation for general shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with impulses which are complex nonlinear neural networks. In a recent paper [Z. J. Gui and W. G. Ge, Chaos 16, 033116 (2006)], the authors claimed that they obtained a criterion of existence, uniqueness, and global exponential stability of periodic solution (i.e., stationary oscillation) for shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with impulses. We point out in this paper that the main result of their paper is incorrect, and presents a sufficient condition of ensuring existence, uniqueness, and global stability of periodic solution for general shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with impulses. The result is derived by using a new method which is different from those of previous literature. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness.
