RESUMO

Black phosphorus (BP), a fascinating semiconductor with high mobility and a tunable direct bandgap, has emerged as a candidate beyond traditional silicon-based devices for next-generation electronics and optoelectronics. The ability to grow large-scale, high-quality BP films is a prerequisite for scalable integrated applications but has thus far remained a challenge due to unmanageable nucleation events. Here we develop a sustained feedstock release strategy to achieve subcentimetre-size single-crystal BP films by facilitating the lateral growth mode under a low nucleation rate. The as-grown single-crystal BP films exhibit high crystal quality, which brings excellent field-effect electrical properties and observation of pronounced Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations, with high mobilities up to ~6,500 cm2 V-1 s-1 at low temperatures. We further extend this approach to the growth of single-crystal BP alloy films, which broaden the infrared emission regime of BP from 3.7 µm to 6.9 µm at room temperature. This work will greatly facilitate the development of high-performance electronics and optoelectronics based on BP family materials.

The electron transport layer (ETL) plays an important role in determining the conversion efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Here, TiO2 thin film was prepared by irradiating diisopropoxy diacetylacetone titanium precursor thin film with 172 nm vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) at a low temperature. The prepared TiO2 thin film has higher electron mobility and conductivity. As it is used as an ETL for MAPbI3 PSCs, its band structure is better matched with the perovskite, and at the same time, due to the good interface contact, more uniform perovskite crystals are formed. Most importantly, a large number of hydroxyl radicals were formed during VUV irradiation of the precursor film, which made up for the oxygen defect present on the surface of the TiO2 thin film, and were adsorbed to the film surface. These hydroxyl groups form hydrogen bonds with methylammonium (MA) components on the MAPbI3 buried surface, thus promoting the transfer of photogenerated electrons at the MAPbI3/ETL interface. The power conversion efficiency of PSCs fabricated in air with the ETL prepared by VUV irradiation is 20.46%, which is higher than that of the contrast solar cell based on the sintered ETL (17.96%).

1D van der Waals (vdW) materials have attracted significant interest in recent years due to their giant anisotropic and weak interlayer-coupled characters. More 1D vdW materials are urgently to be exploited for satisfying the practice requirement. Herein, the study of 1D vdW ternary HfSnS3 high-quality single crystals grown via the chemical vapor transport technique is reported. The Raman vibration modes and band structure of HfSnS3 are analyzed via DFT calculations. Its strong in-plane anisotropic is verified by the polarized Raman spectroscopy. The field-effect transistors (FETs) based on the HfSnS3 nanowires demonstrate p-type semiconducting behavior as well as outstanding photoresponse in a broadband range from UV to near-infrared (NIR) with short response times of ≈0.355 ms, high responsivity of ≈11.5 A W-1 , detectivity of ≈8.2 × 1011 , external quantum efficiency of 2739%, excellent environmental stability, and repeatability. Furthermore, a typical photoconductivity effect of the photodetector is illustrated. These comprehensive characteristics can promote the application of the p-type 1D vdW material HfSnS3 in optoelectronics.

BACKGROUND: Ontologies of precisely defined, controlled vocabularies are essential to curate the results of biological experiments such that the data are machine searchable, can be computationally analyzed, and are interoperable across the biomedical research continuum. There is also an increasing need for methods to interrelate phenotypic data easily and accurately from experiments in animal models with human development and disease. RESULTS: Here we present the Xenopus phenotype ontology (XPO) to annotate phenotypic data from experiments in Xenopus, one of the major vertebrate model organisms used to study gene function in development and disease. The XPO implements design patterns from the Unified Phenotype Ontology (uPheno), and the principles outlined by the Open Biological and Biomedical Ontologies (OBO Foundry) to maximize interoperability with other species and facilitate ongoing ontology management. Constructed in Web Ontology Language (OWL) the XPO combines the existing uPheno library of ontology design patterns with additional terms from the Xenopus Anatomy Ontology (XAO), the Phenotype and Trait Ontology (PATO) and the Gene Ontology (GO). The integration of these different ontologies into the XPO enables rich phenotypic curation, whilst the uPheno bridging axioms allows phenotypic data from Xenopus experiments to be related to phenotype data from other model organisms and human disease. Moreover, the simple post-composed uPheno design patterns facilitate ongoing XPO development as the generation of new terms and classes of terms can be substantially automated. CONCLUSIONS: The XPO serves as an example of current best practices to help overcome many of the inherent challenges in harmonizing phenotype data between different species. The XPO currently consists of approximately 22,000 terms and is being used to curate phenotypes by Xenbase, the Xenopus Model Organism Knowledgebase, forming a standardized corpus of genotype-phenotype data that can be directly related to other uPheno compliant resources.

Linear magnetoresistance (LMR) is usually observed in topological quantum materials and plausibly connected with the topologically nontrivial surface state with Dirac-cone-like linear dispersion because the frequently encountered large Hall resistivity can be trivially mixed into the LMR via charge inhomogeneity. Herein, by applying an optimal gate voltage to nodal-line semimetal ZrGeSe two-dimensional (2D) layers with specific thicknesses, we observe a giant nonsaturated LMR of 8 × 104% at 2 K and a magnetic field of 9 T. This giant LMR is accompanied by a very small Hall resistivity, which is inconsistent with the charge inhomogeneity mechanism. Our systematic results confirm that the giant LMR is maximized when the topological semimetal is in the "even-metal" regime and suppressed upon evolution to the normal "odd-metal" regime. The "even-to-odd" transition is universal regardless of the thicknesses of the crystals. A comparison with Abrikosov's quantum LMR theory indicates that the observed LMR cannot be trivial.

BACKGROUND: Acylcarnitine is an intermediate product of fatty acid oxidation. It is reported to be closely associated with the occurrence of diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM). However, the mechanism of acylcarnitine affecting myocardial disorders is yet to be explored. This current research explores the different chain lengths of acylcarnitines as biomarkers for the early diagnosis of DCM and the mechanism of acylcarnitines for the development of DCM in-vitro. METHODS: In a retrospective non-interventional study, 50 simple type 2 diabetes mellitus patients and 50 DCM patients were recruited. Plasma samples from both groups were analyzed by high throughput metabolomics and cluster heat map using mass spectrometry. Principal component analysis was used to compare the changes occurring in the studied 25 acylcarnitines. Multivariable binary logistic regression was used to analyze the odds ratio of each group for factors and the 95% confidence interval in DCM. Myristoylcarnitine (C14) exogenous intervention was given to H9c2 cells to verify the expression of lipid metabolism-related protein, inflammation-related protein expression, apoptosis-related protein expression, and cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and fibrosis-related protein expression. RESULTS: Factor 1 (C14, lauroylcarnitine, tetradecanoyldiacylcarnitine, 3-hydroxyl-tetradecanoylcarnitine, arachidic carnitine, octadecanoylcarnitine, 3-hydroxypalmitoleylcarnitine) and factor 4 (octanoylcarnitine, hexanoylcarnitine, decanoylcarnitine) were positively correlated with the risk of DCM. Exogenous C14 supplementation to cardiomyocytes led to increased lipid deposition in cardiomyocytes along with the obstacles in adenosine 5'-monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling pathways and affecting fatty acid oxidation. This further caused myocardial lipotoxicity, ultimately leading to cardiomyocyte hypertrophy, fibrotic remodeling, and increased apoptosis. However, this effect was mitigated by the AMPK agonist acadesine. CONCLUSIONS: The increased plasma levels in medium and long-chain acylcarnitine extracted from factors 1 and 4 are closely related to the risk of DCM, indicating that these factors can be an important tool for DCM risk assessment. C14 supplementation associated lipid accumulation by inhibiting the AMPK/ACC/CPT1 signaling pathway, aggravated myocardial lipotoxicity, increased apoptosis apart from cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and fibrosis were alleviated by the acadesine.

This experiment was carried out to observe and analyze the effect of floium ginkgo extract and tertram ethypyrazine sodium chloride injection in patients with cerebral infarction. A total of 200 patients diagnosed with cerebral infarction were enrolled in the study. They were randomly divided into a research group and control group, each containing 100 patients. The control group was given routine treatment measures while the research group was given floium ginkgo extract and tertram ethypyrazine sodium chloride injection on the basis of routine treatment. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were observed and compared. After implementing different treatment schemes, the levels of MMP-9, SOD, CBV and CBF in the research group were significantly higher than those in the control group, p<0.05. The research group was lower in hs-CRP, MDA, MTT, TTP and TNF-α as compared with the control group, p<0.05. In terms of the quality of life of the two groups after six months of treatment, the scores of various indicators in the research group were all significantly superior, p<0.05. Conclusion: The treatment of cerebral infarction patients with floium ginkgo extract and tertram ethypyrazine sodium chloride injection can significantly improve the therapeutic effect, which is a relatively ideal treatment.

The phylogeny of true bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera), one of the most diverse insect groups in terms of morphology and ecology, has been the focus of attention for decades with respect to several deep nodes between the suborders of Hemiptera and the infraorders of Heteroptera. Here, we assembled a phylogenomic data set of 53 taxa and 3102 orthologous genes to investigate the phylogeny of Hemiptera-Heteroptera, and both concatenation and coalescent methods were used. A binode-control approach for data filtering was introduced to reduce the incongruence between different genes, which can improve the performance of phylogenetic reconstruction. Both hypotheses (Coleorrhyncha + Heteroptera) and (Coleorrhyncha + Auchenorrhyncha) received support from various analyses, in which the former is more consistent with the morphological evidence. Based on a divergence time estimation performed on genes with a strong phylogenetic signal, the origin of true bugs was dated to 290-268 Ma in the Permian, the time in Earth's history with the highest concentration of atmospheric oxygen. During this time interval, at least 1007 apomorphic amino acids were retained in the common ancestor of the extant true bugs. These molecular apomorphies are located in 553 orthologous genes, which suggests the common ancestor of the extant true bugs may have experienced large-scale evolution at the genome level.

BACKGROUND: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignancies worldwide. Studies have shown that EZH2, as the member of the Polycomb groups (PcGs) family, plays an important biological role in the occurrence and development of HCC. The association between the genetic variants of EZH2 and HCC is not yet fully established. METHODS: In this study, we used 175 patients with HCC and 209 healthy volunteers' blood samples of Chinese Han population to further analyze the relationship between EZH2 variants and HCC susceptibility. RESULTS: The results showed significant differences in distribution of alleles rs2302427 and rs3757441 between patients and the controls (p < 0.05). The three SNPs of EZH2 investigated show significant association with the elevated risk of HCC (p < 0.05) in addition to the overdominant model of rs3757441 and recessive model of rs41277434 (p > 0.05). The haplotype analysis of the three EZH2 SNPs revealed that the CCA and GTA haplotypes were associated with a higher risk of HCC (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The results of these experiments indicated that the presence of EZH2 variants was significantly associated with HCC, and these variants could be useful genetic markers for predicting susceptibility to HCC in a Chinese Han population.

Wing polymorphism is common in a wide variety of insect species. However, few studies have reported on adaptations in the wing polymorphism of insects at molecular level, in particular for males. Thus, the adaptive mechanisms need to be explored. The remarkable variability in wing morphs of insects is well represented in the water striders (Hemiptera: Gerridae). Within this family, Gigantometra gigas (China, 1925), the largest water strider known worldwide, displays macropterous and apterous males. In the present study, we used de novo transcriptome assembly to obtain gene expression information and compared body and leg-component lengths of adult males in different wing morphs. The analyses in both gene expression and phenotype levels were used for exploring the adaptive mechanism in wing polymorphism of G. gigas. After checking, a series of highly expressed structural genes were found in macropterous morphs, which were related to the maintenance of flight muscles and the enhancement of flight capacity, whereas in the apterous morphs, the imaginal morphogenesis protein-Late 2 (Imp-L2), which might inhibit wing development and increase the body size of insects, was still highly expressed in the adult stage. Moreover, body and leg-component lengths were significantly larger in apterous than in macropterous morphs. The larger size of the apterous morphs and the differences in highly expressed genes between the two wing morphs consistently demonstrate the adaptive significance of wing polymorphism in G. gigas. These results shed light on the future loss-of-function research of wing polymorphism in G. gigas.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a critical class of regulatory molecules involved in a variety of biological functions; however, their role in immune cells response to radiation is unknown. Therefore, in this study we used integrative analysis to determine the expression profile of lncRNAs in mouse thymocytes and the potential functions of lncRNAs in response to radiation. Microarray data profiling indicated that 53 lncRNAs (36 up-regulated and 17 down-regulated) and 74 coding genes (39 up-regulated and 35 down-regulated) were highly differentially expressed in the high dose radiation (HDR) group compared with the control group. In the low dose radiation (LDR) group, only one lncRNA was down-regulated. Moreover, as compared with the control group, 109 lncRNA pathways in the HDR group and 14 lncRNA pathways in the LDR group were differentially expressed. Our data revealed the expression pattern of lncRNAs in mouse thymocytes and predicted their potential functions in response to LDR and HDR. In the HDR group, GO analysis showed that the role of lncRNAs in damage responses of thymocytes to HDR mainly involved chromatin organization and cell death. These findings might improve our understanding of the role of lncRNAs in LDR- and HDR-induced immune cells and provide a new experimental basis for further investigation.

Wide-bandgap (WBG) inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are used as the top cell for tandem solar cells, which is an effective way to outperform the Shockley-Queisser limit. However, the low efficiency and poor phase stability still seriously restrict the application of WBG inverted PSCs. Here, the surface of the WBG perovskite film was passivated by the synthesized 1,2,4-tris(3-thienyl)benzene (THB). The THB size well matches with the halogen ion vacancy on the perovskite surface, and the S atom in THB can strongly interact with Pb2+ on the surface of the WBG perovskite film to the greatest extent, which effectively passivates surface defects and suppresses the recombination of carriers caused by these defects. At the same time, the S atom in THB occupied the migration site of the halogen ions, which inhibits the migration of halogen ions. Due to the strong conjugation effect and stability of THB, it can be locked on the surface of perovskite to increase the lattice strength and inhibit the segregation of photoinduced halide, thus improving the performance and operational stability of PSCs. The THB-modified WBG (Eg = 1.71 eV) PSC achieves a maximum power conversion efficiency of 20.75%, and its 99.0% is retained after 1512 h at a relative humidity of 10-25%. Under the irradiation of 1000 lx LED light, the indoor power conversion efficiency of the THB-modified WBG PSC reaches 34.15%.

OBJECTIVES: Facing the emerging diseases, rapid identification of the pathogen and multi-dimensional characterization of the genomic features at both isolate-level and population-level through high-throughput sequencing data can provide invaluable information to guide the development of antiviral agents and strategies. However, a user-friendly program is in urgent need for clinical laboratories without bioinformatics background to decode the complex big genomics data. METHODS: In this study, we developed an interactive online platform named PHDtools with a total of 15 functions to analyze metagenomics data to identify the potential pathogen and decode multi-dimensional genetic signatures including intra-/inter-host variations and lineage-level variations. The platform was applied to analyze the meta-genomic data of the samples collected from the 172 imported COVID-19 cases. RESULTS: According to the analytical results of mNGS, 27 patients were found to have the co-infections of SARS-CoV-2 with either influenza virus (n = 9) or human picobirnavirus (n = 19). Enough coverages of all the assembled SARS-CoV-2 genomes provided the sub-lineages of Omicron variant, and the number of mutations in the non-structural genes and M gene was increased, as well as the intra-host variations occurred in E and M gene were under positive selection (Ka/Ks > 1). These findings of increased or changed mutations in the SARS-CoV-2 genome characterized the current adaptive evolution patterns of Omicron sub-lineages, and revealed the evolution speed of these sub-lineages might increase. CONCLUSIONS: Consequently, the application of PHDtools has proved that this platform is accurate, user-friendly and convenient for clinical users who are deficient in bioinformatics, and the clinical monitor of SARS-CoV-2 genomes by PHDtools also highlighted the potential evolution features of current SARS-CoV-2 and indicated that the development of anti-SARS-CoV-2 agents and new-designed vaccines should incorporate the gene variations other than S gene.

Echinobase (www.echinobase.org) is a model organism knowledgebase serving as a resource for the community that studies echinoderms, a phylum of marine invertebrates that includes sea urchins and sea stars. Echinoderms have been important experimental models for over 100 years and continue to make important contributions to environmental, evolutionary, and developmental studies, including research on developmental gene regulatory networks. As a centralized resource, Echinobase hosts genomes and collects functional genomic data, reagents, literature, and other information for the community. This third-generation site is based on the Xenbase knowledgebase design and utilizes gene-centric pages to minimize the time and effort required to access genomic information. Summary gene pages display gene symbols and names, functional data, links to the JBrowse genome browser, and orthology to other organisms and reagents, and tabs from the Summary gene page contain more detailed information concerning mRNAs, proteins, diseases, and protein-protein interactions. The gene pages also display 1:1 orthologs between the fully supported species Strongylocentrotus purpuratus (purple sea urchin), Lytechinus variegatus (green sea urchin), Patiria miniata (bat star), and Acanthaster planci (crown-of-thorns sea star). JBrowse tracks are available for visualization of functional genomic data from both fully supported species and the partially supported species Anneissia japonica (feather star), Asterias rubens (sugar star), and L. pictus (painted sea urchin). Echinobase serves a vital role by providing researchers with annotated genomes including orthology, functional genomic data aligned to the genomes, and curated reagents and data. The Echinoderm Anatomical Ontology provides a framework for standardizing developmental data across the phylum, and knowledgebase content is formatted to be findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable by the research community.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) and DNA mismatch repair (MMR) have been linked to human cancer progression. Human mutL homolog 1 (hMLH1), one of the core MMR genes, defects in lung cancer development. However, the interaction between miRNAs and MMR genes and their regulatory effect on cell cycle remain poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the role of miR-31-5p in hMLH1 gene expression and the effect of miR-31-5p on cell cycle in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We found that miR-31-5p was inversely correlated with hMLH1 expression in NSCLC cell lines and hMLH1 was a direct target of miR-31-5p. Knockdown of miR-31-5p induced a cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase and increased hMLH1 protein expression in NSCLC cells. Conversely, overexpression of miR-31-5p significantly induced cell cycle arrest at S phase and decreased hMLH1 protein expression. Furthermore, knockdown of hMLH1 upregulated miR-31-5p expression and caused cell cycle arrest at S phase. Data from this study revealed that miR-31-5p modulates cell cycle by targeting hMLH1 protein at the posttranscriptional level in NSCLC, which may represent a novel therapy strategy for lung cancer by targeting miR-31-5p.

We used forebrain-specific conditional presenilin 1 (PS1) and presenilin 2 (PS2) double knockout mice (dKO mice) that exhibit symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer's disease, to investigate whether ibuprofen can rescue brain and periodontal tissue abnormalities by attenuating the inflammatory response. Mandibles were dissected for alveolar bone-height analysis. Maxillae were fixed and decalcified for histological observation and osteoclast detection. ELISA measurements from the hippocampus, cortex, and gingiva of the mandibular incisor teeth were used to assay inflammatory mediators. We confirmed periodontal tissue abnormalities and inflammatory responses in brain and periodontal tissues in naive nine- and 12-month-old dKO mice. The other two groups of age-matched dKO mice that received 375-ppm ibuprofen treatment for six consecutive months exhibited significantly attenuated damage in periodontal tissues and reduction in several inflammation-related factors in brain and periodontal tissues. Our findings showed that the anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen significantly decreased inflammation through the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway in brain and periodontal tissues in dKO mice, and then attenuated abnormalities in periodontal tissues. This suggests that ibuprofen could be an ideal drug for preventing both nervous system and periodontal tissue damage caused by inflammatory responses.

Climate oscillation and its synergistic impacts on habitat fragmentation have been identified as threatening the survival of some extant species. However, the mechanisms by which semi-aquatic insects impacted by such events remain poorly understood. Herein, we studied the largest water strider in the world, Gigantometra gigas, to explore the effect of these two factors on its evolutionary history. The sequences of mitogenomic and nrDNA cluster were utilized to reconstruct phylogenetic relationship among G. gigas populations and its demographic history. Mitochondrial genes were separately reconstructed topologies of that populations and detected remarkable differences. We found that G. gigas populations conform to the isolation-by-distance model, and decline occurred at about 120 ka, which was probably influenced by the climate change during the late Pleistocene and eventually maintained a small effective population size (Ne) around 85,717. The populations in Guangdong Province of China are worthy of note in that they exhibit low genetic diversity, a small Ne around 18,899 individuals, and occupy an area with little suitable future habitat for G. gigas. This work recommends that conservation efforts are implemented to ensure the long-term survival of small G. gigas populations, and notes that further evaluation of their extinction risk under the impacts of human activities is required.

2D ferromagnetic chromium tellurides exhibit intriguing spin configurations and high-temperature intrinsic ferromagnetism, providing unprecedented opportunities to explore the fundamental spin physics and build spintronic devices. Here, a generic van der Waals epitaxial approach is developed to synthesize the 2D ternary chromium tellurium compounds with thicknesses down to mono-, bi-, tri-, and few-unit cells (UC). The Mn0.14 Cr0.86 Te evolves from intrinsic ferromagnetic behavior in bi-UC, tri-UC, and few-UC to temperature-induced ferrimagnetic behavior as the thickness increases, resulting in a sign reversal of the anomalous Hall resistance. Temperature- and thickness-tunable labyrinthine-domain ferromagnetic behaviors are derived from the dipolar interactions in Fe0.26 Cr0.74 Te and Co0.40 Cr0.60 Te. Furthermore, the dipolar-interaction-induced stripe domain and field-induced domain wall (DW) motion velocity are studied, and multibit data storage is realized through an abundant DW state. The magnetic storage can function in neuromorphic computing tasks, and the pattern recognition accuracy can reach up to 97.93%, which is similar to the recognition accuracy of ideal software-based training (98.28%). Room-temperature ferromagnetic chromium tellurium compounds with intriguing spin configurations can significantly promote the exploration of the processing, sensing, and storage based on 2D magnetic systems.

One-dimensional (1D) van der Waals (vdW) materials are anticipated to leverage for high-performance, giant polarized, and hybrid-dimension photodetection owing to their dangling-bond free surface, intrinsic crystal structure, and weak vdW interaction. However, only a few related explorations have been conducted, especially in the field of flexible and integrated applications. Here, high-quality 1D vdW GePdS3 nanowires were synthesized and proven to be an n-type semiconductor. The Raman vibration and band gap (1.37-1.68 eV, varying from bulk to single chain) of GePdS3 were systemically studied by experimental and theoretical methods. The photodetector based on a single GePdS3 nanowire possesses fast photoresponse at a broadband spectrum of 254-1550 nm. The highest responsivity and detectivity reach up to ∼219 A/W and ∼2.7 × 1010 Jones (under 254 nm light illumination), respectively. Furthermore, an image sensor with 6 × 6 pixels based on GePdS3 nanowires is integrated on a flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate and exhibits sensitive and homogeneous detection at 808 nm light. These results indicate that the ternary noble metal chalcogenides show great potential in flexible and broadband optoelectronics applications.

Xenbase (https://www.xenbase.org/), the Xenopus model organism knowledgebase, is a web-accessible resource that integrates the diverse genomic and biological data from research on the laboratory frogs Xenopus laevis and Xenopus tropicalis. The goal of Xenbase is to accelerate discovery and empower Xenopus research, to enhance the impact of Xenopus research data, and to facilitate the dissemination of these data. Xenbase also enhances the value of Xenopus data through high-quality curation, data integration, providing bioinformatics tools optimized for Xenopus experiments, and linking Xenopus data to human data, and other model organisms. Xenbase also plays an indispensable role in making Xenopus data interoperable and accessible to the broader biomedical community in accordance with FAIR principles. Xenbase provides annotated data updates to organizations such as NCBI, UniProtKB, Ensembl, the Gene Ontology consortium, and most recently, the Alliance of Genomic Resources, a common clearing house for data from humans and model organisms. This article provides a brief overview of key and recently added features of Xenbase. New features include processing of Xenopus high-throughput sequencing data from the NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus; curation of anatomical, physiological, and expression phenotypes with the newly created Xenopus Phenotype Ontology; Xenopus Gene Ontology annotations; new anatomical drawings of the Normal Table of Xenopus development; and integration of the latest Xenopus laevis v10.1 genome annotations. Finally, we highlight areas for future development at Xenbase as we continue to support the Xenopus research community.
