RESUMO

The whispering gallery mode (WGM) optical microresonator sensors are emerging as a promising platform for precise temperature measurements, driven by their excellent sensitivity, resolution and integration. Nevertheless, challenges endure regarding stability, single resonant mode tracking, and real-time monitoring. Here, we demonstrate a temperature measurement approach based on convolutional neural network (CNN), leveraging the recognition of multimode barcode images acquired from a WGM microbottle resonator (MBR) sensor with robust packaged microresonator-taper coupling structure (packaged-MTCS). Our work ensures not only a high sensitivity of -14.28 pm/℃ and remarkable resolution of 3.5 × 10-4 ℃ across a broad dynamic range of 96 ℃ but also fulfills the demands for real-time temperature measurement with an average detection accuracy of 96.85% and a speed of 0.68s per image. These results highlight the potential of high-performance WGM MBR sensors in various fields and lay the groundwork for stable soliton microcomb excitation through thermal tuning.

RESUMO

Diabetes accelerates vascular senescence, which is the basis for atherosclerosis and stiffness. The activation of the NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome and oxidative stress are closely associated with progressive senescence in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). The vascular protective effect of FGF21 has gradually gained increasing attention, but its role in diabetes-induced vascular senescence needs further investigation. In this study, diabetic mice and primary VSMCs are transfected with an FGF21 activation plasmid and treated with a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) agonist (rosiglitazone), an NLRP3 inhibitor (MCC950), and a spleen tyrosine kinase (SYK)-specific inhibitor, R406, to detect senescence-associated markers. We find that FGF21 overexpression significantly restores the level of catalase (CAT), vascular relaxation, inhibits the intensity of ROSgreen fluorescence and p21 immunofluorescence, and reduces the area of SA-ß-gal staining and collagen deposition in the aortas of diabetic mice. FGF21 overexpression restores CAT, inhibits the expression of p21, and limits the area of SA-ß-gal staining in VSMCs under high glucose conditions. Mechanistically, FGF21 inhibits SYK phosphorylation, the production of the NLRP3 dimer, the expression of NLRP3, and the colocalization of NLRP3 with PYCARD (ASC), as well as NLRP3 with caspase-1, to reverse the cleavage of PPARγ, preserve CAT levels, suppress ROSgreen density, and reduce the expression of p21 in VSMCs under high glucose conditions. Our results suggest that FGF21 alleviates vascular senescence by regulating the SYK-NLRP3 inflammasome-PPARγ-catalase pathway in diabetic mice.

RESUMO

One-shot projection structured light 3D measurement is a method to establish the stereo matching relationship and reconstruct 3D shape by projecting one pattern. However, the traditional stereo matching algorithm does not solve the problem of low matching accuracy and matching efficiency, which fundamentally limits the accuracy of 3D measurement. As the projector and imaging systems have daily higher resolution and imaging quality, RGB dots projection has more application prospects because of its ability to establish a stereo matching relationship through one projection. In this work, we proposed a single-shot 3D measurement method using line clustering stereo matching, and model correction methods. The projected RGB dots are extracted by slope differenced distribution and area constrained erosion method. Area constrained erosion can solve the problem of the segmented connected blobs caused by insufficient projection resolution. The clustering stereo matching method is utilized to coarse match the segmented center red points. A model correction method is utilized to restore and constrain the pattern that cannot be imaged. Experimental results demonstrated that our method achieves the best accuracy of about 0.089mm, better than the traditional disparity and RGB line method, which may shed light on the proposed method can accurately reconstruct the 3D surface.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the expression of lncRNA UCA1 in serum of patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) and its relationship with prognosis. METHODS: The serum lncRNA UCA1 level in participants was detected, and the correlation between the neurological function score (NIHSS score) of ACI patients and lncRNA UCA1 expression was analyzed. Patients were followed up at 3 months after discharge and were divided into favorable and unfavorable prognostic groups according to the modified Rankin scale (mRs). The risk factors of ACI patients with poor prognosis were analyzed, and the predictive value of each index for ACI prognosis was evaluated by ROC curve. RESULTS: The level of lncRNA UCA1 in ACI group was increased (P<0.001). ROC analysis showed that high lncRNA UCA1 expression had clinical significance for the diagnosis of ACI. Spearman correlation analysis revealed that NIHSS score was positively correlated with lncRNA UCA1 expression level in ACI group (r=0.6537, P<0.001). Hcy level and NIHSS score in poor prognosis group (n=63) were higher than those in good prognosis group (n=84), and lncRNA UCA1 level in serum in poor prognosis group was increased in comparison to good prognosis group (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis investigated that admission NIHSS score, infarct size, and increased lncRNA UCA1 were the risk factors affecting the prognosis of ACI. CONCLUSION: Serum lncRNA UCA1 is abnormally elevated in ACI patients, and the elevated lncRNA UCA1 not only shows high accuracy in the diagnosis of ACI, but also has a certain predictive value for poor prognosis of ACI.

RESUMO

Chemically converted graphene (CCG) was found to effectively quench the fluorescence emission of Cy3 dye 1 (the intensity is down to 1/38 of 1 alone) in aqueous solution, due to the formation of a CCG-1 hybrid. After the addition of a certain amount of bovine serum albumin (BSA) into the above-mentioned system, about 60 times fluorescence enhancement was observed for the hybrid CCG-1. This was employed to discriminate BSA: the fluorescence intensity was found to be proportional to the BSA added in the concentration range from 0 to 8 × 10-6 M, and the BSA detection limit was down to 5 × 10-8 M.

RESUMO

The fluorescence of Ru(phen)3Cl2 (tris(1,10-phenanthroline)ruthenium(ii) dichloride) can be effectively quenched with the addition of graphene oxide in aqueous solution, due to the formation of a GO-Ru hybrid. A fluorescence enhancement of approximately 50 times can be observed after the addition of a certain amount of DNA into the above-mentioned solution. The fluorescence increase is linearly proportional to the amount of DNA added in the concentration range of 0-70 µM and the DNA detection limit is down to 3.3 × 10-8 M. Meanwhile, it is found that the GO-Ru hybrid can enter into the nuclei and stain the DNA of living human breast cancer cells MCF-7, while Ru(phen)3Cl2 alone cannot cross the cellular membrane in the control experiment. This method can be employed to detect DNA both in vitro and in vivo.
