RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Mobile phone addiction among adolescents has attracted a lot of attention in recent years. Previous researches revealed a significant relation between low social support and addiction. This study aim to investigated the association between social support and mobile phone addiction, and the mediating effects of depression and loneliness. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: A total of 1,400 Chinese adolescents aged from 12 to 23 years old was recruited from two middle schools and a college in Hunan Province, China. Participates were selected using the cluster random sampling method. They completed the Mobile Phone Addiction Index, the Self-Rating Depression Scale, the UCLA Loneliness Scale, and the Adolescent Social Support Scale. The study analyzed the correlations between the study variables and the mediating role of depression and loneliness in the relationship between social support and mobile phone addiction. RESULTS: There were significant negative correlation between social support and depression, loneliness, and mobile phone addiction (p<0.001). Both depression and loneliness demonstrated significant positive correlation with mobile phone addiction (p<0.001). Structural equation modeling revealed that both depression and loneliness mediated the association between social support and mobile phone addiction (p<0.001). Depression and loneliness sequentially mediated the association between social support and mobile phone addiction (p<0.001). However, the relation between social support and mobile phone addiction was not significant (p>0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Social support can lower levels of mobile phone addiction among adolescents by reducing depression and loneliness. This study sheds light on the underlying mechanisms between social support and mobile phone addiction, which has profound implications for the prevention and interventions of adolescent problematic mobile phone use.

RESUMO

This study systematically explores the impact of the anodic flow field design on the transport of O2 bubble and subsequent energy efficiency in electrolysis devices. Two distinct configurations, namely a conventional serpentine flow panel and an interdigitated flow panel, are integrated at the anode side of the electrolyzer. The interdigitated flow field exhibits superior performance in both alkaline water splitting and CO2 reduction despite the experience of an increased pressure drop. Numerical simulations reveal that the enhanced convective flow of the O2 bubbles induced by a forced anolyte flow through the porous electrode within the interdigitated panel design resulted in a 3 orders of magnitude increase in the level of the O2 bubble transport compared to the serpentine configuration. These findings not only underscore the significance of flow field design on bubble management but also provide a basis for advancing the electrolysis efficiency at industrial-level current densities.

RESUMO

Background and aims: Problematic Internet use (PIU) has become a global public health problem. It has been suggested that parenting style is associated with adolescent PIU. However, the evidence in favor of this view is mixed. Based on the PRISMA method, the present study employed three-level meta-analysis approach to investigate the relationship between these two variables and further explore potential moderators. Methods: After a systematic search for published articles, 35 studies were included, reporting 171 effect sizes (N = 40,587). Results: The results showed that positive parenting styles were significantly negatively related to PIU. This association was moderated by gender, age, publication year, and measurements of PIU, but was not by culture and measurements of parenting styles. Negative parenting styles were significantly positively related to PIU, which was moderated by publication year, culture, and sub-types of negative parenting, but not by gender, age, and measurements of both parenting styles and PIU. In addition, the correlation of PIU with negative parenting styles was stronger than that with positive parenting styles. Discussion and Conclusions: The present results demonstrated that parenting styles, especially punitive parenting styles, should be attached to more important when treating adolescent PIU.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To screen the main component of Dahuangzhechong pill's anti-arterial thrombosis with the orthogonal design and refine Dahuangzhechong pills. METHODS: In accordance with the orthogonal design table (L(16)2(15)), divided herbs into 16 groups and made the appropriate liquid. The liquid was gave to SD rats by intragastric administration, the model group, normal control group received the same volume of physiological saline. Isolated rats' carotid artery after intragastric administration a week, modeled according to ferric chloride inducement the carotid artery thrombosis method, then collected blood, detected content of platelet, thromboxane B2 (TXB2) and 6-keto-prostaglandin F1alpha (6-keto-PGF1alpha), sheared and measured dry weight of the modeling artery, then placed arteries in 10% formalin fixation, observed morphological changes in vascular tissue by HE staining. RESULTS: Pathological examination revealed: each experimental group had thrombosis, softening, dissolution, absorption, and intimal injury, but the severity of thrombosis were diferent. Orthogonal analysis showed: 1, influence on dry weight of thrombus: rhubarb, ground beetle, leeches, peach seed, dry paint, except dry paint P<0.05, the others P<0.01.2, influence on plasma 6- keto-PGF1alpha level: peach seed, dry paint, ground beetle, gadfly, grubs, leeches, rhubarb, except rhubarb P<0.05, the others P<0.01.3, influence on plasma TXB2: ground beetle, peach seed, dried paint, rhubarb, leeches, except leech P<0.05, the others P<0.01.4, influence on platelet count: peach seed, dry paint, rhubarb, ground beetle, gadfly, leeches, except gadfly, leeches P<0.05, the others P<0.01. CONCLUSION: Anti-artery thrombosis of Dahuangzhechong Pill is most closely related with rhubarb, ground beetle, leeches, peach seed, dry paint and gadfly.

RESUMO

Data from a longitudinal questionnaire investigation of three time waves were used to investigate affective and behavioral changes and their covariant relationship among Chinese general population during the COVID-19 pandemic from March to May 2020. 145 participants aging from 15 to 63 completed three waves of survey. Latent growth curve analyses found that negative affect gradually increased as the pandemic continued. A faster increase in negative affect was related to a greater decrease in adaptive behavior and faster increase in non-adaptive behavior. A higher initial level of negative affect was related to a slower increase in non-adaptive behavior.
