RESUMO

After a brief discussion of the problem of idiopathic sensorineural hearing loss and perilymphatic fistulas of the labyrinth windows, audiometric tests are identified that are informative for the preoperative diagnosis of the latter. Taking into account the own results of surgical treatment, attention is drawn to the feasibility of a wider use of exploratory tympanotomy in cases of suspected occurrence of perilymphatic fistulas of the labyrinth windows.

RESUMO

One of the frequent causes of a significant increase in the external nose, forming a persistent deformity of the face, as well as leading to a non-standard clinical picture is rhinophyma disease. The article considers some historical data, epidemiology, peculiarities of pathogenesis, as well as the basics of surgical treatment tactics along with possible preventive measures against rhinophyma. At present, the treatment of this pathology presents great difficulties. Despite the many surgical methods, rhinophyma is poorly treatable, often relapses and leaves no less noticeable disfigurement of the face in the postoperative period. In this regard, there is a constant search for new surgical methods, which has not only medical but also important social significance.

RESUMO

Formation of labyrinth fistulas and destruction of the facial nerve canal in children with middle ear cholesteatoma is rare. Data of children with cholesteatoma of the middle ear, operated in the ENT department of MONIKI, is analyzed. Several clinical observations of multiple-aged patients with the presence of cholesteatoma intra-temporal complications are presented. The preoperative computer tomography made it possible to diagnose the presence of the labyrinth fistula and the destruction of the facial nerve channel, which was confirmed intraoperatively.

RESUMO

Dynamic observation of 32 patients with laryngeal cancer, treated with radiotherapy and combination therapy, was performed using diagnostic technology "Litos-system", including the definition of serum morphotypes by marginal dehydration of biological fluids. In nine of them, on the background of the treatment, there was continued growth of the tumor. In the blood serum seven of nine patients had special microspheroliths, characterized by the presence of "wavy" structures. Such "wavy" microspheroliths could be seen as a harbinger of the continued growth of the tumor, because after their appearance there were detected signs of clinical progression. Apparently, the appearance of mentioned "wavy" structures in the patient's blood is a result of release into the blood of qualitatively new macromolecules produced by a clone of malignant tumor cells.
