ABSTRACT
Faced with a crunch on inpatient admissions, hospitals are re-examining relationships with their medical staffs to strengthen physician loyalty. A physician liaison program lets a hospital address both its physicians' and patients' needs. The author discusses the benefits of a physician detail program and offers strategies for success.
