In this study, we investigated whether lifestyle changes were related to improved health outcomes in individuals with cardiovascular disease (CVD). We assessed self-reported lifestyle behaviours (smoking, waist circumference, alcohol consumption, and physical activity), at inclusion in the cohort and again â¼10 years later. The results emphasize the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices, even for individuals already diagnosed with CVD, and suggest that it is never too late to improve one's lifestyle.
