ABSTRACT
A dual-wavelength synchronously self-mode-locked HoLLF laser operating at 2068.5 and 2069.2â
nm was demonstrated. The maximum average output power was as high as 2.6â
W with a pulse repetition frequency of 3.03â
GHz. Meanwhile, the output power ratio of the dual-wavelength lasers can be effectively controlled by varying the incident pump power. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first dual-wavelength synchronously self-mode-locked Ho-doped fluoride solid state laser; moreover, our current experimental results represent the highest average output power from a GHz self-mode-locked oscillator in the 2â
µm wave band.
