RESUMEN

In the present study, a new series of 1,2,4‒triazole linked pyrazole hybrids (5a‒5l) were synthesized from dimethyl amino pyrazole (1) in good yield by three-step reaction. The chemical structures of the resulted compounds were thoroughly elucidated using spectral analyses such as IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, mass spectra and elemental analysis. The target compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities against the various standard pathogen strains, Gram‒(‒ve) (E. coli, P. aeruginosa, K. pneumoniae, A. baumannii), and Gram‒(+ve) (S. aureus,S. faecalis) microorganisms. According to the results obtained, in particular, compounds 5b, 5f, 5h and 5j was effective at inhibiting the antibacterial growth of all the bacteria's, having MIC values ranging 0.983‒14.862 mg/mL and compared to moxifloxacin (1.391‒22.01 mg mL-1). The most active compounds were chosen to interact with the DNA gyrase and topoisomerase-IV targets via molecular docking. These selected ligands interacted with PDB targets 2XCO, 1S16 and docked into the active site of amino acids Ala-269, Gly-413, Asn-405, Ser-1182, Thr-1185, His-1186, His-1186, Lys-1189, and Trp-1213. The pharmacokinetic properties, stability, and drug-likeness parameters of all target molecules were estimated using SwissADME and PkCSM protocols. The current study used in silico approaches combining e-pharmacophore modeling and structure-based molecular docking of targets to identify antimicrobial agents.

RESUMEN

As of November 2021, more than 24.80 crore people are diagnosed with the coronavirus in that around 50.20 lakhs people lost their lives, because of this infectious disease. By understanding the people's sentiment's expressed in their social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) helps their governments in controlling, monitoring, and eradicating the coronavirus. Compared to other social media's, the twitter data are indispensable in the extraction of useful awareness information related to any crisis. In this article, a sentiment analysis model is proposed to analyze the real time tweets, which are related to coronavirus. Initially, around 3100 Indian and European people's tweets are collected between the time period of 23.03.2020 to 01.11.2021. Next, the data pre-processing and exploratory investigation are accomplished for better understanding of the collected data. Further, the feature extraction is performed using Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF), GloVe, pre-trained Word2Vec, and fast text embedding's. The obtained feature vectors are fed to the ensemble classifier (Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) and Capsule Neural Network (CapsNet)) for classifying the user's sentiment's as anger, sad, joy, and fear. The obtained experimental outcomes showed that the proposed model achieved 97.28% and 95.20% of prediction accuracy in classifying the both Indian and European people's sentiments.

RESUMEN

STUDY DESIGN: Efficacy of the percutaneous biopsy of the spine under computed tomographic guidance was investigated. Seventy-five patients, ranging in age from 7 to 72 years, underwent this procedure. OBJECTIVES: To determine the usefulness of computed tomographically guided biopsies in the treatment of patients with spinal disorders. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA: The results of 68 biopsies (90.6%) were judged to be accurate insofar as the samples of tissue obtained could be diagnosed as specific types of neoplasm, infective lesions, reactive lesions of nonspecific type, or normal bone. METHODS: Biopsies that yielded a specific abnormality were categorized as true positives. The "normal" biopsies were followed for 6-18 months and were then deemed true negatives. Nondiagnostic ones were considered false negatives. RESULTS: The results are acceptable with an accuracy rate of 90.6%. It is a safe and simple procedure with a short learning curve. CONCLUSIONS: Computed tomographically guided biopsy of the spine is recommended as a procedure of choice, especially in cervical and thoracic lesions. Computed tomography is superior to fluoroscopy when dealing with small, deep-seated lesions especially in the cervical and thoracic regions and with lesions picked up on bone scan only, radiographs being negative. Needle biopsy under computed tomographic guidance is safe and precise.

RESUMEN

Two cases of metachronous multicentric giant cell tumour of bone are reported. One patient had tumours in the tibia and the femur, the second tumour appearing five years after the first. The other patient developed tumours in the tibia and the radius, the second tumour appearing two years and nine months after the first. The metachronous tumours, in both cases, were clinically and radiologically more aggressive than the initial tumours. Treatment with curettage and bone grafting proved to be ineffective for these tumours and en-bloc excision was required for cure.

RESUMEN

Reports of accessory soleus muscle are rare, perhaps as a result of it often remaining unrecognized. It presents as a swelling behind the ankle and may be mistaken for a tumour or inflammatory lesion, as occurred in the first of a series of three cases. The other two were incidental findings, one in a 30 year old man with an open tibial fracture and the other in a 9 month old child with a club foot. Patients present with either pain or a diagnostic problem. When large, it may make wearing of footwear difficult. Computerized tomography with electromyography enables confirmation of the diagnosis. Pain is relieved by epimysiotomy and when encountered incidentally during surgery, incision of the epimysium is all that is needed. Excision of the muscle may be considered only if wearing of footwear is difficult. The significance of its presence in a case of club foot is unknown. Disinsertion of its insertion was all that was required to obtain surgical correction of the deformity in the present case. Awareness of the condition will prevent unnecessary surgery in asymptomatic cases.

RESUMEN

The objectives of treating open knee joint injuries with disruption of the distal quadriceps mechanism are to ensure rapid wound healing and to restore joint function. For this it is necessary to provide soft tissue cover, control infection, restore full extension of the knee by reconstruction of the extensor apparatus and prevent joint stiffness by early mobilisation. Two cases are presented where the gastrocnemius (medial half) musculotendinous unit has been used to reconstruct, in one stage, the extensor apparatus and at the same time to provide soft tissue cover.
