RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) surgical treatment went through major changes thanks to availability and wider expansion of mesh implants (MI). This work is focused on critical analysis of outcomes of these surgical procedures and recommendation prescription for their uses in application pelvic surgery. METHODS: There was made analysis of published outcomes and experience with MI use in POP surgical treatment. OUTCOMES were analysed separately for each pelvic bottom section. Main criteria were surgical complications and treatment effectivity based on objective measurable parameters and subjective patients evaluation. OUTCOMES: There are formalized suitable indications and conditions for individual pelvic bottom sections for safe MI use in reconstructive POP surgery. On the basis of objective data authors also define specific situations when MI use doesn't bring any benefit and it is not recommended. CONCLUSION: Mesh implants have their definite place in POP surgical treatment. Implants with right indication and right surgical technique in comparison with classic surgical procedures have significantly lower recurrence risk with comparable or higher surgical complication rate.

RESUMEN

Organ-saving surgery was used in 134 patients with early cervical cancer (high amputation with a lancet-98 and cryotherapy-36 cases). The efficiency of the procedure was verified by morphological examination of samples obtained from the operation site at certain periods after primary treatment. The results of surgical treatment and hormonotherapy of early endometrial cancer (66 and 17 cases, respectively) are presented. Sparing methods may be used for treatment of early cancer of the uterus. Due to their application, menstrual, sexual and reproductive functions are preserved.

RESUMEN

We have searched for Theta+(1540) and Xi(--)(1862) pentaquark candidates in proton-induced reactions on C, Ti, and W targets at midrapidity and square root of s = 41.6 GeV. In 2 x 10(8) inelastic events we find no evidence for narrow (sigma approximately 5 MeV) signals in the Theta+ --> pK0(S) and Xi(--) --> Xi- pi- channels; our 95% C.L. upper limits (UL) for the inclusive production cross section times branching fraction B dsigma/dy/(y approximately 0) are (4-16) mub/N for a Theta+ mass between 1521 and 1555 MeV, and 2.5 mub/N for the Xi(--). The UL of the yield ratio of Theta+/Lambda(1520) < (3-12)% is significantly lower than model predictions. Our UL of B Xi(--)/Xi(1530)0 < 4% is at variance with the results that have provided the first evidence for the Xi(--).
