RESUMEN

This paper proposes a calibration method for a self-rotating, linear-structured-light (LSL) scanning, three-dimensional reconstruction system based on plane constraints. The point cloud of plane target collected by the self-rotating, LSL scanning, 3D reconstruction system should be constrained to the basic principle of the plane equation; it can quickly and accurately calibrate the position parameters between the coordinate system of the LSL module and the coordinate system of the self-rotating, LSL scanning, 3D reconstruction system. Additionally, the transformation equation could be established with the calibrated optimal position parameters. This paper obtains the above-mentioned position parameters through experiments and uses the calibrated self-rotating, LSL scanning, 3D reconstruction system to perform three-dimensional scanning and reconstruction of the test piece. The experimental results show that the calibration method can effectively improve the measurement accuracy of the system.

Interleukin-12 receptor ß2 (IL-12Rß2) is a signaling subunit of heterodimeric receptors for IL-12 and IL-35. It plays important regulatory functions in the development of Th1 cells and in the expression of inflammatory cytokines in mammals and other higher vertebrates. However, little is known about IL-12Rß2 in teleost fish. In this work, we have cloned and characterized IL-12Rß2 from grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). The full-length cDNA of grass carp IL-12Rß2 is 2875 bp, which encodes a mature protein with 741 amino acids. This mature protein contains three fibronectin type III domains, a transmembrane helix, and CXW and WSXWS-like motifs that are characteristic of the type I cytokine receptor family. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that cyprinid fish IL-12Rß2 formed a single branch, clearly separated from those of other vertebrates. We expressed and purified a recombinant grass carp IL-12Rß2 protein containing major antigenic regions, which was used to raise a polyclonal antibody. The specificity of the antibody was assessed by Western blotting analysis of whole cell lysates from Escherichia coli cells expressing the recombinant IL-12Rß2, grass carp intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes, and cultured C. idella kidney cells. To explore the potential regulatory role of IL-12Rß2 in inflammation, we generated an intestinal inflammation model by anal intubation of fish with Aeromonas hydrophila. Immunohistochemical staining of the inflamed intestines revealed that IL-12Rß2 expression is consistent with inflammatory cell recruitment during intestinal inflammation. Real-time quantitative PCR revealed that IL-12Rß2 is widely expressed in normal tissues and is up-regulated in most tissues after infecting with A. hydrophila. We found that IL-12Rß2, IL-12p35, and interferon-γ were expressed in similar patterns in the intestines during inflammation. Taken together, our results suggest that IL-12Rß2 is involved in the regulation of intestinal inflammation.

To investigate the effects of probiotics on liver function, glucose and lipids metabolism, and hepatic fatty deposition in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).Totally 140 NAFLD cases diagnosed in our hospital from March 2017 to March 2019 were randomly divided into the observation group and control group, 70 cases in each. The control group received the diet and exercise therapy, while the observation group received oral probiotics based on the control group, and the intervention in 2 groups lasted for 3 months. The indexes of liver function, glucose and lipids metabolism, NAFLD activity score (NAS), and conditions of fecal flora in 2 groups were compared before and after the treatment.Before the treatment, there were no significant differences on alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), glutamine transferase (GGT), total bilirubin (TBIL), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), NAFLD activity score (NAS), and conditions of fecal flora in 2 groups (P > .05). After the treatment, ALT, AST, GGT, TC, TG, HOMA-IR, NAS, and conditions of fecal flora in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the observation group was better after treatment than before. All these above differences were statistically significant (P < .05).Probiotics can improve some liver functions, glucose and lipids metabolism, hepatic fatty deposition in patients with NAFLD, which will enhance the therapeutic effects of NAFLD.

Post-traumatic massive cerebral infarction (MCI) is a fatal complication of concurrent epidural hematoma (EDH) and brain herniation that commonly requires an aggressive decompressive craniectomy. The risk factors and surgical indications of MCI have not been fully elucidated. In this retrospective study, post-traumatic MCI was diagnosed in 32 of 176 patients. The performance of a decompressive craniectomy simultaneously with the initial hematoma-evacuation surgery improved their functional outcomes, compared with delayed surgery (on the 6-month Extended Glasgow Outcome Scale, 5.6±1.5 vs. 3.4±0.6; p<0.001). Significantly increased risks for MCI were observed in patients with an EDH at a transtemporal location (adjusted odds ratio [OR], 16.48; p=0.003), an EDH larger than 100 mL in volume (OR, 7.04; p=0.001), preoperative shock for longer than 30 min (OR, 13.78; p=0.002), bilateral mydriasis (OR, 7.08; p=0.004), preoperative brain herniation for longer than 90 min (OR, 6.41; p<0.001), and a Glasgow Coma Score of 3-5 points (OR, 2.86; p<0.053). Multi-variate logistic regression analysis revealed no significant association between post-traumatic MCI and age, gender, mid-line shift, Rotterdam computed tomography score, intraoperative hypotension, or serum concentrations of sodium or glucose. Incidence of post-traumatic MCI increased from 16.4% in those having any two of the six risk factors to 47.7% in those having any three or more of the six risk factors (p<0.001). Patients with concurrent EDH and brain herniation exhibited an increased risk for post-traumatic MCI with the accumulation of several critical clinical factors. Early decompressive craniectomy based on accurate risk estimation is recommended in efforts to improve patient functional outcomes.

Oxidative stress has been considered as a major cause of cellular injuries in a variety of clinical abnormalities. One of the plausible ways to prevent the reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated cellular injury is dietary or pharmaceutical augmentation of endogenous antioxidant defense capacity. In this study, we investigated the protective actions of citrus flavanones naringin and nobiletin against the cytotoxicity induced by exposure to hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) (150µM, 3h) in PC12 cells. The results showed that naringin and nobiletin inhibited the decrease of cell viability (MTT reduction), prevented membrane damage (LDH release), scavenged ROS formation, reduced caspase-3 activity, and attenuated the decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP), respectively, in H(2)O(2)-induced PC12 cells. Meanwhile, naringin and nobiletin increased superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH) activity, while decreased malondialdehyde (MDA), the production of lipid peroxidation, in H(2)O(2)-induced PC12 cells. In addition, the percentage of cells undergoing H(2)O(2)-induced apoptosis was decreased in the presence of naringin and nobiletin. These results first demonstrate that naringin and nobiletin, even at physiological concentrations, have neuroprotective effects against H(2)O(2)-induced cytotoxicity in PC12 cells. All the above results suggest that these dietary antioxidants are potential candidates for use in the intervention for neurodegenerative diseases.
