RESUMEN

The utilization of supramolecular deep eutectic solvent eddy-assisted liquid-liquid microextraction utilizing 2-hydroxypropyl ß-cyclodextrin (SUPRADES) has been identified as a successful method for pre-enriching Cu, Zn, and Mn in vegetable oil samples. Determination of each element was conducted by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) after digestion of metal-enriched phases. Various parameters were examined, including the composition of SUPRADES species [2HP-ß-CD: DL-lactic acid], a cyclodextrin mass ratio of 20 wt%, a water bath temperature of 75 °C, an extractor volume of 800 µL, a dispersant volume of 50 µL, and an eddy current time of 5 min. Optimal conditions resulted in extraction rates of 99.6% for Cu, 105.2% for Zn, and 101.5% for Mn. The method exhibits a broad linear range spanning from 10 to 20,000 µg L-1, with determination coefficients exceeding 0.99 for all analytes. Enrichment coefficients of 24, 21, and 35 were observed. Limits of detection ranged from 0.89 to 1.30 µg L-1, while limits of quantification ranged from 3.23 to 4.29 µg L-1. The unique structural characteristics of the method enable the successful determination of trace elements in a variety of edible vegetable oils.

INTRODUCTION: An acute Achilles tendon rupture represents a common tendon injury, and its operative methods have been developed over the years. This study aimed to quantify the learning curve for the minimally invasive acute Achilles tendon rupture repair. METHODS: From May 2020 to June 2022, sixty-seven patient cases who received minimally invasive tendon repair were reviewed. Baseline data and operative details were collected. The cumulative summation (CUSUM) control chart was used for the learning curve analyses. Achilles tendon rupture score (ATRS), American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle/hindfoot score, and visual analog scale (VAS) at 3/6/9/12 months were calculated to assess the clinical outcomes. RESULTS: Thirty-six cases underwent at least a year of follow up and were enrolled in this study. The gender ratio and average age were 80.5% and 32.5 years. The linear equation fitted well (R2 = 0.95), and CUSUM for operative time peaked in the 12th case, which was divided into the learning phase (n = 12) and master phase (n = 24). No significant difference was detected between the two groups in clinical variables, except for the operative time (71.1 ± 13.2 min vs 45.8 ± 7.2 min, p = 0.004). Moreover, we detected one case with a suture reaction and treated it properly. CONCLUSION: Minimally invasive Achilles repair provides an opportunity for early rehabilitation. Notably, the learning curve showed that the "lumbar puncture needle and oval forceps" technique was accessible to surgeons.

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFU), diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) and peripheral arterial disease (PAD) are common complications of diabetes mellitus, while diabetic peripheral neuropathy and peripheral arterial disease contribute to the pathogenesis of diabetic foot ulcers, and the pathogenic mechanisms between these three diseases still need further investigation. The keywords 'diabetic foot ulcer', 'diabetic peripheral neuropathy' and 'atherosclerosis' were used to search for related gene sets in the GEO database. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened and analysed for GO, KEGG and enrichR functional enrichment. Potential three disease biomarkers were identified by SVM-SVM-RFE and LASSO regression analysis. The results were also validated using external datasets and discriminability was measured by area under the ROC curve (AUC). Finally, biomarkers and co-upregulated genes were analysed through the GSEA and Attie Laboratories diabetes databases. A total of 11 shared genes (KRT16, CD24, SAMD9L, SRGAP2, FGL2, GPR34, DDIT4, NFE2L3, FBLN5, ANXA3 and CPA3), two biomarkers (SAMD9L and FGL2) and one co-upregulated gene (CD24) were screened. GO and KEGG pathway analysis of DEGs, enrichr enrichment analysis of shared differential genes and GSEA analysis of biomarkers showed that these significant genes were mainly focused on vasoregulatory, inflammatory-oxidative stress and immunomodulatory pathways. In this study, we used bioinformatics to investigate the intrinsic relationship and potential mechanisms of three common lower extremity complications of diabetes and identified two pivotal genes using the LASSO model and the SVM-RFE algorithm, which will further help clinicians to understand the relationship between diabetic complications, improve the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic foot problems and help doctors to identify the potential risk factors of diabetic foot.

PURPOSE: There are two main surgical fixation methods for the posterior malleolar fractures (PMFs), the anterior-to-posterior (AP) screws or via the posterolateral (PL) approach utilizing a buttress plate. This review aims to compare the clinical outcome between the AP screw fixation and the PL plate fixation for treating PMFs. METHODS: We searched all relevant publications about PMFs treated with AP screws or PL plates through electronic databases including the PubMed, the Cochrane Library, the Embase, the Wiley online library and the Web of Science. The meta-analysis was conducted to evaluated clinical outcomes including reduction quality, post-operative function and complications. RESULTS: Six studies (one single randomized controlled trial and five retrospective cohort studies) were enrolled. 172 patients underwent AP screw fixation and 214 patients underwent PL plate fixation with a total of 386 patients (169 males and 217 females). The PL plating group yielded better AOFAS scores(MD = 6.97, 95 % CI=[4.68, 9.27], P<0.00001, I2 =0 %) and was more likely to achieve excellent anatomical reduction(OR=5.49, 95 % CI=[1.06, 28.42], P = 0.04, I2 =80 %). No differences were found in the bad reduction quality, incidences of complications (arthritis, neuralgia, superficial wound healing problems and implant failure), the walking VAS scores and the dorsiflexion restriction degrees. CONCLUSION: We suggest that the PL plate fixation method has the clinical benefit of achieving anatomical reduction and better AOFAS scores over the AP screw fixation for treating PMFs. No differences were found in the incidences of complications ( arthritis, neuralgia, superficial wound healing problems and implant failure), the walking VAS scores and the dorsiflexion restriction degrees. The posterior approach and the direct reduction are recommended for the treatment of the PMFs. LEVEL OF CONFIDENCE: Ⅱb.

Limited charge separation/transport efficiency remains the primary obstacle of achieving satisfying photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting performance. Therefore, it is essential to develop diverse interfacial engineering strategies to mitigate charge recombination. Despite obvious progress having been made, most works only considered a single-side modulation in either the electrons of conduction band or the holes of valence band in a semiconductor photoanode, leading to a limited PEC performance enhancement. Beyond this conventional thinking, we developed a novel coupling modification strategy to achieve a composite electrode with bidirectional carrier transport for a better charge separation, in which Ti2 C3 Tx MXene quantum dots (MQDs) and α-Fe2 O3 nanodots (FO) are anchored on the surface of ZnIn2 S4 (ZIS) nanoplates, resulting in markedly improved PEC water splitting of pure ZIS photoanode. Systematic studies indicated that the bidirectional charge transfer pathways were stimulated due to MQDs as "electron extractor" and S-O bonds as carriers transport channels, which synergistically favors significantly enhanced charge separation. The enhanced kinetic behavior at the FO/MQDs/ZIS interfaces was systematically and quantitatively evaluated by a series of methods, especially scanning photoelectrochemical microscopy. This work may deepen our understanding of interfacial charge separation, and provide valuable guidance for the rational design and fabrication of high-performance composite electrodes.

PURPOSE: To investigate early neurological deficits-related change patterns in gray matter (GM) volume in patients with carbon monoxide poisoning (COP) and GM volume differences between patients with and without delayed neurological sequelae (DNS) and those with and without T2 hyperintense lesions after COP. METHODS: Forty-one COP patients (24 patients with DNS) and 36 sex- and age-matched healthy controls (HC) were enrolled in this study. The neurological assessments were administered within 24 h after MRI scans. Voxel-based morphometry analysis was used to detect regional GM volume change. RESULTS: The COP group had statistically significant GM atrophy in the bilateral prefrontal and temporal lobes, anterior cingulate (ACC), thalamus, posterior cerebellum, and right hippocampus compared to the HC group. Atrophy in the left medial orbital superior frontal gyrus (SFG), bilateral ACC, and bilateral thalamus were related to lower Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) scores and higher Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale subsection III and neuro-psychiatric inventory scores. Atrophy in the hippocampus and posterior cerebellum were also related to decrease MMSE scores. The DNS subgroup had greater GM atrophy in the limbic system than the non-DNS subgroup. Compared to the subgroup without T2 hyperintense lesions, greater GM atrophy in the limbic system, motor and visual cortex, and default network was observed in the subgroup with T2 hyperintense lesions. CONCLUSION: GM atrophy in the medial orbital SFG, ACC, thalamus, hippocampus, and posterior cerebellum is associated with early neurological deficits in patients with COP. Greater atrophy occurred in patients with DNS and those with T2 hyperintense lesions.

Conservation practices (CPs) are integral to maintaining the long-term viability of agro-ecological systems. Because farming systems and farmers' values and attitudes are heterogeneous, factors that consistently predict conservation behaviors remain elusive. Moreover, heterogeneity is present among studies regarding the type of CPs examined, and whether behavioral intentions or actual behaviors were measured. This study considers the characteristics of each CP, and whether a given study measured behavioral intention or actual behavior, to better understand farmers' adoption of CPs. We reviewed and analyzed 35 years (1982-2017) of quantitative conservation adoption literature in the United States. We categorized CPs based on their primary purpose, the type of benefit they provide, and whether they are operational or structural. We also examined the following five CPs: conservation tillage, buffers or borders, soil testing, grassed waterways, and cover crops. In our behavioral intention and actual behavior analysis, we found that attitudinal factors predicted both conservation intention and action (actual behavior), whereas current or previous use of practices only influenced actions, not stated conservation intentions. In our analysis focusing on CP characteristics, we found that having specific knowledge about and positive attitudes toward the CP, adoption of other CPs, seeking and using information, larger farm size, and vulnerable land predicted actual adoption across nearly all CP categorizations. Nuances emerge when comparing predictors of CPs that share a particular characteristic. For example, we found farm characteristics to be comparatively more important in predicting adoption of soil management CPs than nutrient and livestock management CPs, and farmers' stewardship identity to be more important for permanent practices than operational practices.

TGFß2 is an essential regulator of immune cell functionality, but the mechanisms whereby it drives immune infiltration in gastric cancer remain uncertain. The Oncomine and Tumor Immunoassay Resource (TIMER) databases were used for assessing the expression of TGFß2, after which TIMER was used to explore the relationship between TGFß2 and tumour immune infiltration. Finally, we assessed how TGFß2 expression correlated with the expression of a set of marker genes associated with immune infiltration using TIMER and GEPIA. We determined TGFß2 expression to be significantly correlated with outcome in multiple types of cancer in the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), with the effect being particularly pronounced in gastric cancer. Furthermore, elevated TGFß2 expression was found to be significantly correlated with gastric cancer N staging, and with the expression of a variety of immune markers associated with particular immune cell subsets. These results indicate that TGFΒ2 is associated with patient outcome and tumour immune cell infiltration in multiple cancer types. This suggests that TGFß2 is a key factor which governs immune cell recruitment to gastric cancer tumours, potentially playing a vital role in governing immune cell infiltration and thus representing a valuable prognostic biomarker in gastric cancer patients.

The effectiveness of urban stormwater management practices (SMPs) on local water quality is dependent on adoption rates reaching a critical mass. While numerous studies have measured the effectiveness of practices on controlling water quantity and improving water quality, few have focused on the perspective of the public. The purpose of this study was to identify individuals' perceptions of urban SMPs implementation in the public and private realms, and how longitudinal perceptions about the local river could inform future water resource management. Through the lens of environmental behavior theories, we performed statistical analyses on four surveys - 2006, 2009, 2014 and 2016 - administered to urban residents in the Wabash River watershed in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Our findings show that residents' water quality awareness and sense of personal responsibility increase over the ten years studied. In particular, rain garden adopters have higher appreciation of the Wabash River and care about how the river functions than other SMP adopters and non-adopters. In terms of urban SMP adoption, results indicate that residents are supportive of integrating rain barrels and rain gardens into public spaces. Perceptions of SMP benefits related to functional benefits, rather than environmental benefits, are prevalent when considering implementing SMPs on personal property. In addition, respondents support reducing stormwater charges for adopters of such practices on private property. Although cognitive barriers exist in those who have yet to adopt the practices, including concerns about SMP effectiveness, maintenance, aesthetics, and risk of bugs and insects, adopters are less likely to perceive such barriers. This research suggests that making resources (i.e., skills, knowledge, equipment, funding) more accessible to the public is essential, but not sufficient to encourage pro-environmental behaviors. Promoting public involvement in watershed activities, increasing their awareness about how urban SMPs function, and emphasizing the functional benefits of practices can be effective in motivating adoption.

BACKGROUND: Heart Failure (HF) is a chronic disease that impairs patients' ability to care for themselves. The accumulation of caregiving activities by caregivers to patients creates stress. OBJECTIVES: This study intends to investigate the mediating role of caregiving burden in the relationship between health literacy and quality of life of caregivers. METHODS: This study is a cross-sectional research conducted through a questionnaire survey. A convenience sampling method was employed to select 410 primary caregivers for the study. RESULTS: The overall mean score for quality of life for caregivers of patients with HF was (49.30±9.64). The results showed that the caregiving burden mediated the relationship between health literacy and quality of life, with the mediating effect accounting for 39.04 % (P < 0.05) of the total effect. CONCLUSION: Caregiving burden is a mediating variable in the relationship between health literacy and quality of life. Therefore, we offer some recommendations for healthcare professionals: ①We suggest that healthcare professionals provide relevant education and training to caregivers, as this can enhance their knowledge and skills in effectively managing the health condition of patients;②Healthcare professionals can also proactively assess the caregiver's burden level and design personalized support plans based on the assessment results.

Background: This study aimed to create three-dimensional heat map and study the characteristic of fracture lines and represented fragments of OTA/AO type 43C pilon fractures. Methods: CT scan was performed in105 fractures diagnosed with OTA/AO type 43C pilon fractures between January 2017 and December 2022. Three-dimensional pilon fracture maps were created and converted into fracture heat maps. CT scan graphic parameters including the fracture line height, α angle, ß angle, the ratio of the area and size of bone fragment represented by the fracture line to the total articular surface were measured. Results: The study included 105 patients with 91 males and 14 females. The fractures included C1 (n=16), C2 (n=23), and C3 (n=66). There was no statistically different among the most parameters except in the fracture-line height of the anterior fracture line (p=0.03) and the sagittal fracture line (p=0.02) between C2 and C3 pilon fractures. The average size of the anterolateral fragment, occupied approximately 13.5% of the articular surface area, was (11.5±2.8) mm × (20.5±6.3) mm with the average height of 29.8 mm. The average size of the posterolateral fragment, occupied approximately 13.0% of the articular surface area, was (15.7±4.6) mm × (19.3±4.0) mm with the average height of 19.1 mm. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that the articular surface fracture lines in the C type pilon fracture are formed by fixed main fracture lines. The understand of morphological and distribution characteristics of the fracture lines and size of fragments in OTA/AO type 43C pilon fractures would help the surgeons take suitable approach and fixation.

In China, agricultural activities are a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, ranking second only to another significant source. This presents a significant obstacle to reducing emissions and jeopardizes both the availability of food and the sustainable growth of agriculture. It is primarily the farmers who utilize cultivated land and are thus accountable for the initiation of these emissions. Farmers' role is significant in adopting green and low-carbon (LC) agricultural production practices, and their actions are directly tied to the achievement of the dual goals of carbon reduction. Understanding their motivations for engaging in LC production and the factors that influence their willingness to do so is important for both theory and practice. In this study, data was collected from 260 questionnaires in 13 counties across five major cities in Shaanxi Province. The purpose was to identify factors that impact farmers' motivation and willingness to engage in LC agriculture using linear regression analysis. A structural equation model was constructed to better understand the underlying mechanisms that influence farmers' actions towards LC farming practices. The study's findings indicate that (1) farmers' behavior towards LC production practices is notably impacted by internal motivation based on joy and internal motivation based on responsibility (IMR); (2) IMR has the most pronounced effect on farmers' adoption of LC production practices; (3) the internal motivation based on joy, IMR, behavior attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control are related to each other; and (4) the multi-group analysis of the data indicates that the impact of internal motivation based on joy and IMR on adopting sustainable farming practices may vary among different groups. It is essential to support farmers who have strong intrinsic motivation to engage in sustainable agriculture. Additionally, policymakers must promote positive attitudes towards sustainable farming to achieve the desired environmental (LC) objectives.

China's critical reliance on well-crafted public policies, coupled with the effective execution of central government directives at the local level, drives the achievement of the "dual carbon" goal including the peaking of CO2 emissions and attaining carbon neutrality. Therefore, examining policy records can unveil the holistic strategy for attaining carbon neutrality during the period of peak CO2 emissions; at the same time, it can also highlight the potential obstacles in policy implementation. In this study, we adopt a policy instruments perspective to investigate data related to policies addressing peak CO2 emissions across 29 provincial administrative regions in China. We apply Nvivo12 software to conduct a quantitative literature assessment and content analysis to establish a theoretical framework for the policy process. This framework encompasses dimensions such as political feasibility, regional coordination, attributes of low-carbon initiatives, and policy refinement. Subsequently, we employ the model to carry out a retrospective analysis of policy documents pertaining to peak CO2 emissions in China. Our research findings underscore the pivotal role of political feasibility in shaping policy effectiveness, while also highlighting the facilitative influence of regional coordination, shedding light on the essential synergy between provinces and cities in achieving emissions reduction goals. Similarly, the estimated results highlight the motivating impact of specific attributes within low-carbon initiatives. Moreover, policy enhancements are identified as a critical driver in advancing the path toward carbon neutrality. Consequently, to achieve the objective of carbon neutrality, it is imperative for every province and city to sequentially reach the peak of CO2 emissions. Our research offers a comprehensive "China strategy," providing valuable insights to guide future policy formulation and accelerate progress toward sustainable environmental objectives.

Background: Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is a primary cause of death and disability worldwide. Four markers that can be readily determined from peripheral blood, namely, the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and total bilirubin, were measured in this study. We examined the relationship between the SII and in-hospital mortality after AIS and evaluated which of the above four indicators was most accurate for predicting in-hospital mortality after AIS. Methods: We selected patients from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care-IV (MIMIC-IV) database who were aged >18 years and who were diagnosed with AIS on admission. We collected the patients' baseline characteristics, including various clinical and laboratory data. To investigate the relationship between the SII and in-hospital mortality in patients with AIS, we employed the generalized additive model (GAM). Differences in in-hospital mortality between the groups were summarized by the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and the log-rank test. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to assess the accuracy of the four indicators (SII, NLR, PLR, and total bilirubin) for predicting in-hospital mortality in patients with AIS. Results: The study included 463 patients, and the in-hospital mortality rate was 12.31%. The GAM analysis showed a positive correlation between the SII and in-hospital mortality in patients with AIS, but the correlation was not linear. Unadjusted Cox regression identified a link between a high SII and an increased probability of in-hospital mortality. We also found that patients with an SII of >1,232 (Q2 group) had a considerably higher chance of in-hospital mortality than those with a low SII (Q1 group). The Kaplan-Meier analysis demonstrated that patients with an elevated SII had a significantly lower chance of surviving their hospital stay than those with a low SII. According to the results of the ROC curve analysis, the in-hospital mortality of patients with AIS predicted by the SII had an area under the ROC curve of 0.65, which revealed that the SII had a better discriminative ability than the NLR, PLR, and total bilirubin. Conclusion: The in-hospital mortality of patients with AIS and the SII were positively correlated, but not linearly. A high SII was associated with a worse prognosis in patients with AIS. The SII had a modest level of discrimination for forecasting in-hospital mortality. The SII was slightly better than the NLR and significantly better than the PLR and total bilirubin for predicting in-hospital mortality in patients with AIS.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of infection-related biomarkers in high-risk lower limb injury patients with fracture-related infection (FRI) caused by high-/low-virulence microorganisms. Methods: This study was a retrospective analysis of patients with high-risk lower extremity fractures (including tibial plateau, calcaneus, and Pilon fractures) who underwent open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) surgery from January 2017 to February 2022. Peripheral blood samples were collected within 24 hours of admission, and the following information was evaluated: gender, age, BMI, smoking, comorbidities, injury information, surgical details, values for serum C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), as well as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR). Results: A total of 576 patients receiving lower extremity fracture surgery were included in this study. Fifty-one patients (8.85%) were identified as FRI, and 28 (54.9%) of these 51 cases were further classified as high-virulence group. The median levels of CRP, ESR, NLR, and MLR were significantly higher in the FRI group than in the non-FRI group (p < 0.01). Similarly, the marginally significantly higher levels of CRP and NLR presented in the high-virulence group, compared to the low-virulence group (p < 0.1). The AUC areas of CRP, NLR, and CRP+NLR were 0.826, 0.650, and 0.873, respectively. We calculated the optimal cut-off points for CRP+NLR as diagnostic markers of high-virulent infection was 0.377. Conclusion: This study showed the incidence of FRI in high-risk lower extremity fractures was 8.9%, and identified preoperative serum biomarkers, including CRP, ESR, NLR, and PLR, as useful tools for assisting in the diagnosis of infection. Additionally, the combination of CRP with NLR played a discriminating clinical role in postoperative infections caused by different virulence. Level of Evidence: Clinical study.

Objective: The aim was to evaluate the effects of different glenosphere eccentricities on impingement, range of motion (ROM), and muscle length during standard activities in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RSA). Methods: In this study, we utilized computational modeling techniques to create native shoulder and shoulder models undergoing RSA and simulate shoulder movements in all abduction-adduction, flexion-extension, and rotation. We tested a total of 36 different glenosphere configurations, which included three different inferior tilts (0°, +10°, +20°) and two different lateral offsets (0 mm and +4 mm), as well as six different glenosphere eccentricities (concentricity, inferior, posterior, anterior, anteroinferior, and posteroinferior). We evaluated the maximum impingement-free ROM, impingement sites, and muscle lengths. Results: All glenosphere configurations exceeded 50% of native shoulder ROM in three planes and total global ROM. In abduction-adduction, there was no significant difference among the different glenosphere eccentricities (p > 0.05). In flexion-extension, the posteroinferior eccentricity had the maximum ROM among the different eccentricities, but no significant difference among the different glenosphere eccentricities (p > 0.05). In rotation, there was a significant difference overall, and anteroinferior eccentricity had a significant advantage over concentricity (p < 0.05). In total global ROM, anteroinferior eccentricity had a significant advantage over concentricity when lateral offset was 0 mm (p < 0.05). In all models of glenosphere eccentricities, only the elongation of the infraspinatus muscle was statistically significant (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Glenosphere eccentricity significantly influenced rotation, total global ROM, and the length of the subscapularis muscle. Among them, anteroinferior offset achieved the maximum ROM in abduction-adduction, rotation, and total global activities. Both anteroinferior and inferior glenoid eccentricity showed significant advantages over the concentricity in rotation and total global ROM. BACKGROUND: Approach need to be considered when surgeons dealt with complex elbow injuries and the choice of the approach is a challenge for surgeons due to the complex anatomy. On the basis of releasing the lateral collateral ligament, we modified the dislocation technique to pursue the superior exposure including not only the distal humeral surface but also the anterior facet of the coronoid process. METHODS: A total of 4 cadaver specimens and 8 elbows were included in the study. Each cadaver provided one elbow for either the elbow dislocation approach or the posterior olecranon approach. The exposed distal articular surface of humerus, humeral capitulum, humeral trochlea, anterior trochlea of distal humerus, posterior trochlea of distal humerus and the ulnar coronoid process surface were marked by image J software and calculated for a comparison for each surgical approach. RESULTS: The total distal humeral surface was exposed as a median of 98.2 (97.6, 99.6)% and 62.0 (58.3, 64.5)% for the elbow dislocation approach and the olecranon osteotomy approach (P < 0.001), the capitulum 100% and 32.4 (28.0, 39.2)% (P < 0.001), the trochlea 93.2(90.1, 96.9)% and 72.5 (65.2, 78.8)% (P < 0.001), the anterior trochlear articular surface 96.0(93.0, 97.4)% and 50.3 (43.6, 59.1)% (P < 0.001), the posterior trochlear articular surface 95.4 (93, 100)% and 100% (P = 0.76) and the articular surface of the coronoid process of ulna 71.3 (66.0, 74.2)% and 0% (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: For complex elbow fractures, the technique of elbow dislocation provides complete exposure of the distal humerus surface and a significant portion of the coronoid process surface, facilitating direct visualization for reduction and fixation. Booster immunizations and breakthrough infections can elicit severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) Omicron subvariant neutralizing activity. However, the durability of the neutralization response is unknown. We characterize the sensitivity of BA.1, BA.2, BA.2.75, BA.4/BA.5, BF.7, BQ.1.1, and XBB against neutralizing antibodies from vaccination, hybrid immunity, and breakthrough infections 4-6 months after vaccination and infection. We show that a two-dose CoronaVac or a third-dose ZF2001 booster elicits limited neutralization against Omicron subvariants 6 months after vaccination. Hybrid immunity as well as Delta, BA.1, and BA.2 breakthrough infections induce long-term persistence of the antibody response, and over 70% of sera neutralize BA.1, BA.2, BA.4/BA.5, and BF.7. However, BQ.1.1 and XBB, followed by BA.2.75, are more resistant to neutralization, with neutralizing titer reductions of ∼9- to 41-fold, ∼16- to 63-fold, and ∼4- to 25-fold, respectively. These data highlight additional vaccination in CoronaVac- or ZF2001-vaccinated individuals and provide insight into the durability of neutralization against Omicron subvariants.

Background: Post-stroke depression (PSD) is not only a frequent neuropsychiatric manifestation secondary to stroke but is also associated with disability, poor rehabilitation outcomes, sleep disorders, cognitive impairment, and increased mortality. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), a primary modality of non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS), has shown promising clinical results in the rehabilitation of patients with PSD recently. The primary aim of this systematic review is to assess the effects of tDCS on PSD. Methods: PubMed and Cochrane databases were used for paper identification up to May 2022. Only English language studies and published data were taken into consideration. The methodological quality of selected studies was assessed according to the modified Sackett Scale, based on Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scores. Results: Six experimental studies were included for the PSD treatment of tDCS and all of them reported that, following the intervention of tDCS, the experimental group shows a statistically significant decrease in the depression level in accordance with different assessment scales. Conclusion: This article simply aims at providing a comprehensive overview of the raw data reported in this field to date. Based on the current evidence, tDCS presents promising results for the treatment of PSD. Moreover, tDCS is also effective in PSD patients with aphasia or CPSP. However, an optimal stimulation protocol is needed to formulate. Thus, the development of robustly controlled, randomized, and high-quality clinical trials to further assess the utility of tDCS as a therapeutic tool for the treatment of PSD survivors is encouraged.
