RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To understand the meaning of care management attributed by faculty members of a nursing course from the viewpoint of complex thinking. METHODS: Qualitative and comprehensive research with case studies, and individual interviews with 17 faculty members of a nursing course of a public university in southern Brazil. The data were subjected to comprehensive analysis based on the principle of complex thinking of Edgar Morin. RESULTS: Two categories emerged: "classical fragmentation versus the contemporary whole" and "teaching care management and the nursing work process", whereby it was observed that despite the integrating proposal of the curriculum, care management is viewed as fragmented. CONCLUSIONS: Care management must be redefined if it is expected to serve as an aggregator in education. It is necessary to create strategies that enable moments of reflection on the subject, and for education to provoke changes in the work process of nurses.

RESUMEN

The aim of this study was to analyse the inclusion of the subject Nursing Care Systems (NCS) in nursing education. This study was based on qualitative desk research and it was conducted in a nursing programme in southern Brazil that offers an integrated curriculum with NCS as a cross-cutting theme. Data were collected from September to December 2012, by examining 15 planning and development workbooks on the cross-disciplinary modules of the programme. Analysis was divided into four stages: exploratory, selective, analytic and interpretive reading. The adopted theoretical framework was Complex Thought of Edgar Morin, according to the principles of relevant knowledge. Results were arranged into two categories: NCS as a crosscutting theme in nursing education: the context, the global and the multidimensional; and strategies for teaching, learning and assessment of NCS: the complex. The study contributes to the debate on the importance of teaching NCS as a crosscutting theme in nursing education.

RESUMEN

This study is founded on the phenomenology of Martin Heidegger, with the objective to understand the care needs of women infected with the human papilloma virus. Participants were fourteen women who had been diagnosed with this infection. The guiding questions were: What is it like to have this diagnosis? Tell me your experience, from when you received your diagnosis until today. What has your health care been like? The questions revealed the theme - seeking care as solitude - which showed the importance of the support of family and friends. The presence of the infection as the cause of marital conflicts and separation was another highlighted aspect. The statements showed that there was a sense of resignation after an unsuccessful attempt to find accurate and clear information in order to make assertive decisions. Health interventions for infected women must overcome the traditional models of care, including interventions for health promotion and prevention, with trained professionals who are sensitive to the subjective dimension.

RESUMEN

In seeking to understand the social representation of the use of the wheelchair through the analysis of interviews with ten people who have suffered spinal cord injury, the construction of five representations was elaborated. The phenomenon experienced regarding the wheelchair provided a route of meanings and symbologies: essential equipment, after the person perceive the inability to walk; a symbol of disability when the person experienced functional dependence; means of locomotion and transport after the rescue of their potential functional; becoming an integral part or all of their body and, finally, the concept of autonomy on four wheels by adjusting to their new ability to walk emerges. The wheelchair as an extension of the modified body for spinal cord injury, returns them the right of locomotion, presents them not only with autonomy for various acts of life, but also restores their dignity, so essential to human life.

Innovative changes in undergraduate Nursing programs have brought about new methodologies and the need for cost evaluation. This study aims to develop a model for cost estimation, and to estimate educational costs of an integrated Nursing curriculum at a public university. This is a case study conducted in stages: model development, data collection, analysis and interpretation. The cost-construction model consisted of six steps: data collection; educational and support activity costs; four-year course educational costs; educational support costs; joint product costs and total educational costs. Findings showed a total educational cost per student/year US$ 3,788.82. Course team faculty included 97 members. The cost analysis in faculty contact hours is the most appropriate cost unit as it most consistently reflects faculty time devoted to teaching. The knowledge about educational costs provided information that may be useful for a different approach to the integrated curriculum management, with a view to putting its educational objectives in practice.

RESUMEN

This study had the aim of understanding the meaning of being a nurse in a management position in Intensive Care Units as well as the feelings coming from this function. Eight nurses from the University Hospital of Parand, Brazil, were interviewed. This is a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study in which the dejourian theoretical framework was used. The data were gathered from January to March of 2007 through semi-structured interviews, which were then transcribed categorized and subcategorized. The data were analyzed by the analysis of content approach. It was observed that managing means: to provide the patient with care, to manage the nursing assistance as well as the health team. The feelings of pleasure are related to: taking care of the patient, developing team work, the results of the work and the external acknowledgement.

OBJECTIVE: to analyze the process of introducing an educational intervention for the improvement of social skills in care management provided by nurses. METHOD: intervention research, according to its complexity, carried out in a South-Brazilian public university hospital. To identify learning needs, 11 nurses were interviewed and educational meetings were held with 20 participants, who evaluated with open-ended questions: what they would stop doing; what they would continue doing; and what they would start doing on the issues addressed. The data was analyzed comprehensively. RESULTS: we developed 30 educational hours on social skills of communication, work, assertiveness, and other themes inherent in care management mentioned by the participants as deficient. The evaluation revealed intentions of advances in: self-monitoring, communication, empathy, assertiveness, leadership and search for knowledge. Monthly meetings on care management were formally requested by the institution. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: social skills are intertwined in care management relationships and their improvement has proved to be dialogical, recursive and hologrammatic.

RESUMEN

The objective of this study conducted among women with AIDS, was to identify the knowledge about how they acquired the disease, as well as the meaning AIDS has in their Quality of Life. This is a qualitative, exploratory descriptive study encompassing twelve women. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews from October 2006 to January 2007. After the analysis, two categories were identified. The first one related to how AIDS was acquired, and the other to the meanings of Quality of Life (QL) for these women. The results revealed that the interviewees know how the HIV infection was acquired. The meanings, as far as Quality of Life, had to do with keeping healthy, family and work relationships, and acceptance of current situation, all of which points out to the need of providing wholesome care for these women.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze how the approach of the theme "scientific investigation" can contribute to the development of the scientific competence of the Nursing student. METHOD: A descriptive-exploratory, case-study, qualitative study was carried out with professors from a public university in the South of Brazil. Data were collected through a semi-structured individual interview and a group interview, called the conversation circle. RESULTS: Data analysis consisted of three categories: "Research as a structuring theme and scientific principle in undergraduate student training in Nursing"; "Research as a structuring theme and scientific principle in undergraduate student training in Nursing"; "Sap research and educational principle in the integrated curriculum". CONCLUSION: Research training can occur at all undergraduate academic moments, providing the student with the knowledge of scientific research as a formative content and as an investigative attitude, in order to enable the development of scientific competence in professional practice.

This study investigated the experience of nursing workers at the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) of a hospital in Londrina, State of Paraná, using the qualitative phenomenological method. Ten interviews were conducted. The analysis of the discourses made possible to build four categories: 1) How the individual came to be part of the department - describes the various ways one may come to work in the unit; 2) Speaking about the work involved in the SPD - describes the turnover, the multiple simultaneous tasks that must be performed and the preference for certain areas; the closed atmosphere; the technological evolution; and the interpersonal relationships; 3) Dealing with difficulties - describes the daily routine; the repetitive and monotonous work; the physical exhaustion; the lack of supplies and equipment; the adjustment period; and the under-appreciation, discrimination, and ignorance of other health workers about their work; 4) Overcoming the obstacles - reveals that through greater awareness of their role in the Department these professionals are able to recognize their importance.

AIM: to evaluate the clinical applicability of outcomes, according to the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) in the evolution of orthopedic patients with Impaired Physical Mobility METHOD: longitudinal study conducted in 2012 in a university hospital, with 21 patients undergoing Total Hip Arthroplasty, evaluated daily by pairs of trained data collectors. Data were collected using an instrument containing five Nursing Outcomes, 16 clinical indicators and a five point Likert scale, and statistically analyzed. RESULTS: The outcomes Body Positioning: self-initiated, Mobility, Knowledge: prescribed activity, and Fall Prevention Behavior presented significant increases in mean scores when comparing the first and final evaluations (p<0.001) and (p=0.035). CONCLUSION: the use of the NOC outcomes makes it possible to demonstrate the clinical progression of orthopedic patients with Impaired Physical Mobility, as well as its applicability in this context.

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the perception of nurses regarding an educational intervention with innovative pedagogical methods on acute management of burns. Method: a qualitative and exploratory study based on Paulo Freire's sociocultural pedagogical approach. The educational intervention was carried out with 18 nurses who worked in the areas of urgency and emergency. The intervention was centered on active teaching-learning methodologies, in which the main teaching methods were case-based learning, conceptual maps, simulation training, and digital portfolio. Data was collected in November 2017 and October 2018, in the setting of a state public university, by means of a sociodemographic questionnaire, records produced from focus groups, field diaries and portfolios, which were analyzed based on data triangulation, using Bardin's content analysis technique. Results: four categories were identified: collaborative construction of knowledge based on autonomy and dialog between the students; learning with dynamism and joy; from problematizing reality to critical thinking; and education that leads to professional empowerment and confidence. Conclusion: the nurses perceived the educational intervention as positive, since the innovative and participatory teaching methods adopted contributed to the development of competences and skills, ensuring more critical thinking, autonomy and empowerment for these professionals. The study represents an advance in the scope of Nursing education and in the orientation of continuing education actions.


RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar la percepción de los profesionales de Enfermería con respecto a una intervención educativa con métodos pedagógicos innovadores sobre primeros auxilios a personas que sufrieron quemaduras. Método: estudio con enfoque cualitativo, del tipo exploratorio, basado en el enfoque pedagógico sociocultural de Paulo Freire. Se realizó una intervención educativa con 18 profesionales de enfermería que se desempeñaban en las áreas de urgencia y emergencia. La intervención se centró en metodologías activas de enseñanza-aprendizaje, en las que los principales métodos de enseñanza fueron case-based learning (aprendizaje basado en casos), mapas conceptuales, simulación realista y portafolio digital. Los datos se recolectaron en noviembre de 2017 y octubre de 2018, en el ámbito de una universidad pública estatal, por medio de un cuestionario sociodemográfico, registros elaborados a partir de grupos focales, diarios de campo y portafolios, analizados a partir de triangulación de datos, por medio de la técnica de análisis de contenido de Bardin. Resultados: se identificaron cuatro categorías: construcción en colaboración del conocimiento a partir de la autonomía y del diálogo entre los educandos; aprender con dinamismo y alegría; de la problematización de la realidad al pensamiento crítico; y educación que deriva en el empoderamiento y la confianza profesional. Conclusión: los profesionales de Enfermería percibieron la intervención educativa como positiva, ya que los métodos de enseñanza innovadores y participativos adoptados contribuyeron al desarrollo de competencias y habilidades, garantizando así más pensamiento crítico, autonomía y empoderamiento en dichos profesionales. El estudio representa un avance en el ámbito de la enseñanza de Enfermería, así como en la orientación de acciones de educación permanente.

Método: estudo de abordagem qualitativa, do tipo exploratório, ancorado na abordagem pedagógica sociocultural de Paulo Freire. Realizou-se uma intervenção educativa com 18 enfermeiros que atuavam nas áreas de urgência e emergência. A intervenção foi centrada em metodologias ativas de ensino-aprendizagem, em que os principais métodos de ensino foram case-based learning, mapas conceituais, simulação realística e portfólio digital. Os dados foram coletados em novembro de 2017 e outubro de 2018, no cenário de uma universidade pública estadual, por meio de questionário sociodemográfico, registros produzidos a partir de grupos focais, diários de campo e portfólios, analisados a partir da triangulação dos dados, por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Objective: To identify how the approach of the theme scientific research can contribute to the development of scientific competence in the perception of nursing students. Method:This is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory case study developed in the undergraduate nursing course of a public university in southern Brazil. Data were collected by three focus groups with 23 students and document analysis. Data were analyzed in Content Analysis and discussed from Pedro Demo's theoretical perspective. Results:From the speeches we evidenced two categories: "Building an investigative competence: definition, importance and learning moments" and "Scientific competence in training: research as a subsidy for professional practice". Final considerations:The investigative competence for nursing education was attributed to the curricular arrangements, the problematization method, the tutorial pedagogical strategy, the teacher's role as activator in the teaching-learning process in research and the extracurricular activities, to improve the practice.


Objetivo: Identificar como a abordagem do tema investigação científica pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento da competência científica na percepção de estudantes do curso de Enfermagem. Método: Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, descritivo-exploratória do tipo estudo de caso desenvolvida em um curso de graduação em Enfermagem de uma universidade pública do Sul do Brasil. A coleta de dados deu-se por meio de três grupos focais com 23 estudantes e de análise documental. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo e discutidos na perspectiva teórica de Pedro Demo. Resultados: Dos dizeres, evidenciaram-se duas categorias: "Construindo a competência investigativa: definição, importância e momentos de aprendizagem" e "A competência científica em formação: a pesquisa como subsídio para a prática profissional".Considerações finais:A competência investigativa para a formação do enfermeiro atribuiu-se aos arranjos curriculares, ao método da problematização, à estratégia pedagógica tutorial, ao papel do professor como ativador no processo ensino-aprendizagem em pesquisa e às atividades extracurriculares, para aperfeiçoamento da prática.

OBJECTIVE: to understand the experiences of parents of children and adolescents with cancer undergoing treatment. METHOD: qualitative research, based on Heidegger's existential phenomenology, in which 13 parents of eight patients under 19 years of age, assisted by a charity association, were interviewed. RESULTS: three topics resulted from the analysis: "Experiencing the unpleasantness of the treatment"; "Fearing the possibility of a frightening situation" and "Experiencing the carelessness of another person". It was showed that during and after the treatment, the parents experience the fear of the unknown and the uncertainty of the future of their children, especially as they witness the death of other children; they also experience the indifference of professionals working in the local healthcare units and feel helpless and insecure. CONCLUSION: It is essential that the healthcare professionals, particularly the nurses, reflect about their care actions focused on the parents of children with cancer, recognizing their existential needs with the purpose of assisting them in their situation.

Método: investigación-intervención, bajo la luz de la complejidad, realizada en un hospital universitario público sur-brasileño. Se entrevistó a 11 enfermeros para identificar las necesidades de aprendizaje y se realizaron encuentros educativos con 20 participantes, que evaluaron con cuestiones abiertas: lo que dejarían de hacer, lo que continuarían haciendo y lo que comenzarían a hacer en las temáticas abordadas. Los datos fueron analizados comprensivamente. Resultados: se desarrollaron 30 horas educativas sobre habilidades sociales de comunicación, asertividad, de trabajo y otras temáticas inherentes a la gestión del cuidado mencionadas por los participantes como deficitarias. La evaluación reveló intenciones de progreso en: automonitoría, comunicación, empatía, asertividad, liderazgo y búsqueda de conocimiento. Solicitaron formalmente a la institución encuentros mensuales sobre la gestión del cuidado. Consideraciones finales: las habilidades sociales se entrelazan en las relaciones de la gestión del cuidado y su mejoramiento se reveló dialógico, recursivo y hologramático.


RESUMO Objetivo: analisar o processo de implementação de uma intervenção educativa para o aprimoramento de habilidades sociais à gerência do cuidado em enfermeiros. Método: pesquisa-intervenção, à luz da complexidade, realizada em hospital universitário público sul-brasileiro. Entrevistaram-se 11 enfermeiros para identificar necessidades de aprendizado e implementaram-se encontros educativos com 20 participantes, que avaliaram com questões abertas: o que deixariam de fazer, o que continuariam fazendo e o que iniciariam a fazer nas temáticas abordadas. Os dados foram analisados compreensivamente. Resultados: desenvolveram-se 30 horas educativas sobre habilidades sociais de comunicação, e de trabalho, assertividade, e outras temáticas inerentes à gerência do cuidado mencionadas pelos participantes como deficitárias. A avaliação revelou intenções de avanços em: automonitoria, comunicação, empatia, assertividade, liderança e busca por conhecimento. Solicitaram formalmente à instituição encontros mensais sobre gerência do cuidado. Considerações finais: as habilidades sociais entrelaçam-se nas relações da gerência do cuidado e o seu aprimoramento revelou-se dialógico, recursivo e hologramático.

RESUMEN

Resumo A obesidade apresenta origem multifatorial e é bastante frequente no Brasil. Hábitos alimentares podem refletir conflitos psíquicos que influenciam diretamente as práticas de cuidado, especialmente a dieta e a atividade física. A obesidade expressa formas de ser; segundo Merleau-Ponty, por meio do corpo, o homem vivencia o mundo - o corpo carrega valores e percepções. Com o objetivo de compreender quais comportamentos são vividos como cuidado pelas pessoas obesas e quais são as implicações disso para a prática profissional em saúde, realizamos uma pesquisa qualitativa com pessoas obesas em grau I e II, sete homens e cinco mulheres. Foram realizadas entrevistas que foram gravadas, transcritas e posteriormente analisadas por meio da análise do discurso. Os resultados foram divididos em três categorias: (1) tomada de decisão em cuidar-se ou não, revelando o momento de iniciar o cuidado e os fatores que influenciam essa decisão; (2) vivência das formas de cuidado, revelando possibilidades e dificuldades encontradas na execução do cuidado; e (3) emagrecimento como opção ou obrigação, questionando motivações para cuidar-se pela saúde ou atender a padrões estéticos. Concluímos que existem várias possibilidades de cuidado e vivência da obesidade; também observamos a necessidade de abordagens que compreendam as particularidades desse fenômeno.


Abstract Obesity has a multifactorial origin and is quite frequent in Brazil. Eating habits may reflect psychic conflicts, which directly influence care practices, especially diet and physical activity. Obesity expresses ways of being: according to Merleau-Ponty, through the body, man experiences the world, the body carries values and perceptions. To understand which behaviors are experienced as care by obese people, and which implications it has for professional practice in health, we conducted a qualitative study with obese people in grades I and II, seven men and five women. Interviews were recorded, transcribed and later analyzed by the Discourse Analysis Method. The results were divided into 3 categories: (1) decision-making in caring for themselves or not, reveals the moment of initiating care and factors influencing such decision; (2) experience of forms of care: possibilities and difficulties, revealing possibilities and difficulties found in the provision of care; and (3) weight loss as an option or obligation, questioning of motivations to take care of oneself, due to health or to meet aesthetic standards. We conclude that several possibilities of care and experience of obesity exist. We also observe the need for approaches that understand the particularities of this phenomenon.

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as concepções de integração ensino-serviço-comunidade atribuídas pelos estudantes de enfermagem. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, compreensivo, de abordagem qualitativa, do tipo estudo de caso, realizado em um curso de graduação em enfermagem de uma universidade do norte do Paraná. A coleta de dados ocorreu em outubro de 2014 e agosto de 2015, por meio de grupos focais, envolvendo 37 estudantes. Os grupos focais foram gravados, transcritos na íntegra e submetidos à análise de conteúdo de Bardin. A pesquisa foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética da universidade em estudo com CAAE n°18931613.5.0000.5231. Das concepções de integração ensinoserviço-comunidade descritas pelos estudantes emergiram quatro categorias: concepções sobre o ensino; avançando para a integração ensino-serviço; integrando o ensino e a comunidade; e compreendendo a integração ensino-serviço-comunidade. As concepções sobre ensino-serviço e comunidade envolveram a integração entre diferentes cursos da área da saúde, o primeiro contato com o serviço e profissionais de saúde, o trabalho em equipe multiprofissional, a compreensão do ser humano como um todo, bem como a relação entre teoria e prática nos diferentes níveis de atenção. Os resultados foram discutidos de acordo com o pensamento complexo de Edgar Morin. Ressaltamos a importância da integração ensinoserviço-comunidade na formação do enfermeiro em um processo compartilhado entre instituições de ensino, enfermeiros e demais profissionais da área da saúde, bem como com a comunidade(AU)


The purpose of this study was to analyze the conceptions of teaching-service-community integration attributed by nursing students. This is an exploratory, comprehensive, qualitative, case-study-based study conducted in a nursing undergraduate course at a university in the north of Paraná. Data collection took place in October 2014 and August 2015, through focus groups, involving 37 students. The focus groups were recorded, transcribed in full and submitted to Bardin content analysis. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee of the university under study with CAAE n ° 18931613.5.0000.5231. From the conceptions of teaching-service-community integration described by the students emerged four categories: conceptions about teaching; advancing towards teaching-service integration; integrating teaching and community; and understanding teaching-service-community integration. The conceptions about teaching-service and community involved the integration between different courses in the health area, the first contact with the service and health professionals, the multiprofissional teamwork, the understanding of the human being as a whole, as well as the relation between theory and practice at different levels of attention. The results were discussed according to Edgar Morin's complex thought. We emphasize the importance of the teaching-service-community Integration in the training of nurses in a process shared between educational institutions, nurses and other professionals in the health area, as well as with the community(AU)

Resumo O internato de enfermagem representa a consolidação da prática e da teoria aplicadas na realidade dos serviços de saúde e é alvo constante de discussões curriculares para seu aperfeiçoamento. O estudo aqui apresentado teve por objetivo descrever a história do internato de enfermagem de uma universidade pública do norte do Paraná e divulgar as conquistas e os desafios encontrados para a formação do enfermeiro. Tratou-se de pesquisa histórica e documental com abordagem qualitativa, realizada no ano de 2013. O internato de enfermagem foi construído com a integração das mudanças nacionais e as influências sociais e políticas enfrentadas pelas universidades públicas. Ressalta-se que a universidade desempenha importante papel como formadora de profissionais que, desde a concepção dos estágios, são envolvidos em discussões e planejamentos em relação à práxis, de modo a potencializar metodologias inovadoras e valorizar os campos de estágios. O internato de enfermagem em questão passou por diversos desafios ao longo dos anos na busca de seguir preceitos educacionais e do sistema de saúde e alcançou efetividade, confirmada pelos atores envolvidos.


Abstract The internship in nursing represents the consolidation of practice and theory applied in the reality of health services, and improving it is a constant target of curricular discussions. The purpose of this study was to describe the history of the internship in nursing at a public university in northern Paraná state, Brazil, and to publicize the achievements made and challenges faced in the training of nurses. This was a historical and documentary research project with a qualitative approach carried out in the year 2013. The internship in nursing was built based on the integration of national changes and the social and political influences faced by public universities. It should be emphasized that the university plays an important role as a trainer of professionals who, from the conception of the internships, are involved in discussions on and in the planning of the praxis to potentiate innovative methodologies and to value the internship fields. The internship in nursing in question underwent several challenges over the years in the pursuit of educational and health system precepts, and it reached effectiveness, as confirmed by the players involved.


Resumen El internado de enfermería representa la consolidación de la práctica y la teoría aplicadas en la realidad de los servicios de salud y es constante centro de discusiones curriculares para su perfeccionamiento. El estudio aquí presentado tuvo por objetivo describir la historia del internado de enfermería de una universidad pública del norte del estado de Paraná, Brasil, y divulgar las conquistas y desafíos encontrados para la formación del enfermero. Se trató de una investigación histórica y documental con enfoque cualitativo, realizada en el año 2013. El internado de enfermería se construyó con la integración de los cambios nacionales y las influencias sociales y políticas enfrentadas por las universidades públicas. Se destaca que la universidad desempeña un importante papel como formadora de profesionales que, desde la concepción de las pasantías, se involucran en discusiones y planificaciones con relación a la praxis, de forma de potencializar metodologías innovadoras y valorizar los campos de pasantías. El internado de enfermería en cuestión pasó por diferentes desafíos a lo largo de los años en la búsqueda de seguir preceptos educativos y del sistema de salud, y logró efectividad, confirmada por los actos involucrados.

RESUMO Objetivo: compreender as percepções dos estudantes de enfermagem sobre as estratégias de ensino-aprendizagem para o desenvolvimento da competência em comunicação, em um Currículo Integrado. Método: estudo qualitativo-compreensivo, do tipo estudo de caso, realizado com 55 estudantes do curso de graduação em enfermagem de uma universidade pública do sul do Brasil, em outubro de 2014 e agosto de 2015, por meio de 6 grupos focais, gravados, transcritos na íntegra e submetidos à análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Os resultados foram discutidos de acordo com os pressupostos do Pensamento Complexo de Edgar Morin. Resultados: As estratégias que colaboraram com o desenvolvimento da comunicação foram as aulas teóricas, o tutorial, o seminário, a avaliação escrita, o portfólio, o estágio, as Práticas Interdisciplinares e Multiprofissional, o internato e o feedback. Conclusão: O currículo em estudo favoreceu o desenvolvimento da competência de comunicação por meio das metodologias ativas utilizadas e da estruturação modular.


RESUMEN Objetivo: comprender las percepciones de los estudiantes de enfermería acerca de las estrategias de enseñanza y aprendizaje para el desarrollo de la competencia en comunicación, en un Currículo Integrado. Método: estudio cualitativo comprensivo, del tipo estudio de caso, realizado con 55 estudiantes del curso de graduación en enfermería de una universidad pública del sur de Brasil, en octubre de 2014 y agosto de 2015, por medio de 6 grupos focales, grabados, transcriptos integralmente y sometidos al análisis de contenido de Bardin. Se discutieron los resultados según los presupuestos del Pensamiento Complejo de Edgar Morin. Resultados: Las estrategias que contribuyeron con el desarrollo de la comunicación fueron las clases teóricas, el tutorial, el seminario, la evaluación escrita, el repertorio, las prácticas, las Prácticas Interdisciplinario y Multiprofesional, el internado y el feedback Conclusión: El currículo en estudio favoreció el desarrollo de la competencia de comunicación por medio de las metodologías activas utilizadas y de la estructuración modular.


ABSTRACT Objective: To understand the perceptions of nursing students about the teaching-learning strategies for the development of communication skills in an integrated curriculum. Method: qualitative-comprehensive, of case-study type, with 55 undergraduate nursing students from a public university in southern Brazil, in October 2014 and August 2015, through 6 focus groups, recorded, transcribed in full and submitted to Bardin content analysis. Results: The strategies used to develop the communication were theoretical classes, tutorial, seminar, written evaluation, portfolio, training, the Interdisciplinary and Multiprofessional Practices, nursing internship and feedback. Conclusion: The curriculum examined favored the development of communication skills through the use of active methodologies and modular structuring.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze how the approach of the theme "scientific investigation" can contribute to the development of the scientific competence of the Nursing student. Method: A descriptive-exploratory, case-study, qualitative study was carried out with professors from a public university in the South of Brazil. Data were collected through a semi-structured individual interview and a group interview, called the conversation circle. Results: Data analysis consisted of three categories: "Research as a structuring theme and scientific principle in undergraduate student training in Nursing"; "Research as a structuring theme and scientific principle in undergraduate student training in Nursing"; "Sap research and educational principle in the integrated curriculum". Conclusion: Research training can occur at all undergraduate academic moments, providing the student with the knowledge of scientific research as a formative content and as an investigative attitude, in order to enable the development of scientific competence in professional practice.


RESUMEN Objetivo: Analizar cómo el enfoque del tema "investigación científica" puede contribuir al desarrollo de la competencia científica del estudiante de Enfermería. Método: El estudio descriptivo-exploratorio, del tipo estudio de caso, con abordaje cualitativo, realizado con docentes de una universidad pública del sur del país. Los datos fueron recolectados por entrevista individual semiestructurada y por entrevista en grupos, denominada rueda de conversación. Resultados: El análisis de los datos constituyó tres categorías: "La investigación como tema estructurante y principio científico en la formación del estudiante"; "La investigación como savia y principio educativo en el currículo integrado"; "La investigación como principio científico y educativo en las actividades extracurriculares". Conclusión: La formación en investigación puede ocurrir en todos los momentos académicos de la graduación, proporcionando al estudiante aprehender la investigación científica como contenido formativo y como actitud investigativa, con el fin de posibilitar el desarrollo de la competencia científica en el ejercicio profesional.


RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar como a abordagem do tema "investigação científica" pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento da competência científica do estudante de Enfermagem. Método: Estudo descritivo-exploratório, do tipo estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado com docentes de uma universidade pública do Sul do País. Os dados foram coletados por entrevista individual semiestruturada e por entrevista em grupos, denominada roda de conversa. Resultados: A análise dos dados constituiu três categorias: "A pesquisa como tema estruturante e princípio científico na formação do estudante"; "A pesquisa como seiva e princípio educativo no currículo integrado"; "A pesquisa como princípio científico e educativo nas atividades extracurriculares". Conclusão: A formação em pesquisa pode ocorrer em todos os momentos acadêmicos da graduação, proporcionando ao estudante apreender a investigação científica como conteúdo formativo e como atitude investigativa, no intuito de possibilitar o desenvolvimento da competência científica no exercício profissional.
