RESUMEN

Langerhans Cells (LC) are centrally involved in the induction of skin-located immunological processes, including kontactallergical reactions. Because of the growing interest in LC functions, and dynamics, various possibilities for their detection reaching from histological staining up to immunohistochemical characterization by means of monoclonal antibodies, have been developed. The concern of this paper is to overview different visualization techniques.

RESUMEN

In the staphylogenically caused Lyell-syndrome - in most cases a disease in childhood - toxins of Staphylococcus aureus lead to epidermolysis. It should always be treated with antibiotics resistant to penicillinase, in no case with corticosteroids. Therefore, the correct diagnosis must be made in time. This is possible by the different histological picture of the two forms.

RESUMEN

From 1968 to 1978 more than 500 patients suffering from histologically verified malignant melanoma were seen. Only in 12 cases (appr. 2%) the tumour was situated on the tip of the fingers and toes. In such cases nowadays amputation and exarticulation of the whole extremity is no longer practiced. It is sufficient only to remove the corresponding finger or toe. Additional chemotherapy should supplement surgery.

RESUMEN

Malignant atrophic papulosis (Degos'disease) is very rare and shows characteristic clinical symptoms. We report on a patient with Degos'disease who died as a result of intestinal involvement. The clinical and histological changes are indicative of a systemic disease.
