RESUMEN

Polyploidy, a significant catalyst for speciation and evolutionary processes in both plant and animal kingdoms, has been recognized for a long time. However, the exact molecular mechanism that leads to polyploid formation, especially in vertebrates, is not fully understood. Our study aimed to elucidate this phenomenon using the zebrafish model. We successfully achieved an effective knockout of the cyclin N-terminal domain containing 1 (cntd1) using CRISPR/Cas9 technology. This resulted in impaired formation of meiotic crossovers, leading to cell-cycle arrest during meiotic metaphase and triggering apoptosis of spermatocytes in the testes. Despite these defects, the mutant (cntd1-/-) males were still able to produce a limited amount of sperm with normal ploidy and function. Interestingly, in the mutant females, it was the ploidy not the capacity of egg production that was altered. This resulted in the production of haploid, aneuploid, and unreduced gametes. This alteration enabled us to successfully obtain triploid and tetraploid zebrafish from cntd1-/- and cntd1-/-/- females, respectively. Furthermore, the tetraploid-heterozygous zebrafish produced reduced-diploid gametes and yielded all-triploid or all-tetraploid offspring when crossed with wild-type (WT) or tetraploid zebrafish, respectively. Collectively, our findings provide direct evidence supporting the crucial role of meiotic crossover defects in the process of polyploidization. This is particularly evident in the generation of unreduced eggs in fish and, potentially, other vertebrate species.

BACKGROUND: Diabetes mellitus is a prevalent and potentially devastating chronic illness affecting many older adults. Given spousal involvement in many aspects of diabetes management, coping with their partners is increasingly seen as a potential solution to make up for limited resources. This study aimed to identify the key conditions for optimal implementation of couple-based collaborative management model (CCMM) among Chinese older couples with type 2 diabetes mellitus. METHODS: Older couples and community healthcare practitioners were selected according to couples' joint intervention attendance rate and community's average attendance rate. This mixed methods research consisted of a qualitative phase and a quantitative phase. In the qualitative phase, in-depth interviews were conducted among 12 pairs of couples in the intervention group and 4 corresponding practitioners, in the follow-up period of the multicentered RCT from January to April 2022. Qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) in the quantitative phase to identify conditions influencing CCMM's implementation and to explore necessary and sufficient combinations of conditions (i.e., solutions) for improving patients' glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) control (outcome). RESULTS: Key conditions included implementation process, couple's role in diabetes management, their belief and perception of CCMM, as well as objective obstacles and subjective initiative for behavior change. Accordingly, major barriers in CCMM's implementation were patients' strong autonomy (particularly among husbands), misbelief and misperception about diabetes management as a result of low literacy, and mistrust of the practitioners. QCA further revealed that no single condition was necessary for effective HbA1c control, while three types of their combinations would be sufficient. Solution 1 and 2 both comprised the presence of spousal willingness to help, plus correct belief and perception of diabetes management, well embodying the utility of couple collaborative management in supporting patients' HbA1c control. On the other hand, solution 3 indicated that high-quality implementation even without spousal support, can promote the patient's subjective initiative to overcome objective obstacles, suggesting enhanced self-management for HbA1c control. CONCLUSIONS: Tailored CCMM should be implemented in reference to older couple's preferences and literacy levels, to ensure intervention fidelity, and establish correct understanding of collaborative management among them.

BACKGROUND: Interspecific postzygotic reproduction isolation results from large genetic divergence between the subgenomes of established hybrids. Polyploidization immediately after hybridization may reset patterns of homologous chromosome pairing and ameliorate deleterious genomic incompatibility between the subgenomes of distinct parental species in plants and animals. However, the observation that polyploidy is less common in vertebrates raises the question of which factors restrict its emergence. Here, we perform analyses of the genome, epigenome, and gene expression in the nascent allotetraploid lineage (2.95 Gb) derived from the intergeneric hybridization of female goldfish (Carassius auratus, 1.49 Gb) and male common carp (Cyprinus carpio, 1.42 Gb), to shed light on the changes leading to the stabilization of hybrids. RESULTS: We firstly identify the two subgenomes derived from the parental lineages of goldfish and common carp. We find variable unequal homoeologous recombination in somatic and germ cells of the intergeneric F1 and allotetraploid (F22 and F24) populations, reflecting high plasticity between the subgenomes, and rapidly varying copy numbers between the homoeolog genes. We also find dynamic changes in transposable elements accompanied by genome merger and duplication in the allotetraploid lineage. Finally, we observe the gradual decreases in cis-regulatory effects and increases in trans-regulatory effects along with the allotetraploidization, which contribute to increases in the symmetrical homoeologous expression in different tissues and developmental stages, especially in early embryogenesis. CONCLUSIONS: Our results reveal a series of changes in transposable elements, unequal homoeologous recombination, cis- and trans-regulations (e.g. DNA methylation), and homoeologous expression, suggesting their potential roles in mediating adaptive stabilization of regulatory systems of the nascent allotetraploid lineage. The symmetrical subgenomes and homoeologous expression provide a novel way of balancing genetic incompatibilities, providing a new insight into the early stages of allopolyploidization in vertebrate evolution.

BACKGROUND: An important aspect of studying evolution is to understand how new species are formed and their uniqueness is maintained. Hybridization can lead to the formation of new species through reorganization of the adaptive system and significant changes in phenotype. Interestingly, eight stable strains of 2nNCRC derived from interspecies hybridization have been established in our laboratory. To examine the phylogeographical pattern of the widely distributed genus Carassius across Eurasia and investigate the possible homoploid hybrid origin of the Carassius auratus complex lineage in light of past climatic events, the mitochondrial genome (mtDNA) and one nuclear DNA were used to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationship between the C. auratus complex and 2nNCRC and to assess how demographic history, dispersal and barriers to gene flow have led to the current distribution of the C. auratus complex. RESULTS: As expected, 2nNCRC had a very close relationship with the C. auratus complex and similar morphological characteristics to those of the C. auratus complex, which is genetically distinct from the other three species of Carassius. The estimation of divergence time and ancestral state demonstrated that the C. auratus complex possibly originated from the Yangtze River basin in China. There were seven sublineages of the C. auratus complex across Eurasia and at least four mtDNA lineages endemic to particular geographical regions in China. The primary colonization route from China to Mongolia and the Far East (Russia) occurred during the Late Pliocene, and the diversification of other sublineages of the C. auratus complex specifically coincided with the interglacial stage during the Early and Mid-Pleistocene in China. CONCLUSION: Our results support the origin of the C. auratus complex in China, and its wide distribution across Eurasia was mainly due to natural Pleistocene dispersal and recent anthropogenic translocation. The sympatric distribution of the ancestral area for both parents of 2nNCRC and the C. auratus complex, as well as the significant changes in the structure of pharyngeal teeth and morphological characteristics between 2nNCRC and its parents, imply that homoploid hybrid speciation (HHS) for C. auratus could likely have occurred in nature. The diversification pattern indicated an independent evolutionary history of the C. auratus complex, which was not separated from the most recent common ancestor of C. carassius or C. cuvieri. Considering that the paleoclimate oscillation and the development of an eastward-flowing drainage system during the Pliocene and Pleistocene in China provided an opportunity for hybridization between divergent lineages, the formation of 2nNCRC in our laboratory could be a good candidate for explaining the HHS of C. auratus in nature.

Hybridization drives rapid speciation by shaping novel genotypic and phenotypic profiles. Genomic incompatibility and transcriptome shock have been observed in hybrids, although this is rarer in animals than in plants. Using the newly sequenced genomes of the blunt snout bream (Megalobrama amblycephala [BSB]) and the topmouth culter (Culter alburnus [TC]), we focused on the sequence variation and gene expression changes in the reciprocal intergeneric hybrid lineages (F1-F3) of BSB × TC. A genome-wide transcriptional analysis identified 145-974 expressed recombinant genes in the successive generations of hybrid fish, suggesting the rapid emergence of allelic variation following hybridization. Some gradual changes of gene expression with additive and dominance effects and various cis and trans regulations were observed from F1 to F3 in the two hybrid lineages. These asymmetric patterns of gene expression represent the alternative strategies for counteracting deleterious effects of the subgenomes and improving adaptability of novel hybrids. Furthermore, we identified positive selection and additive expression patterns in transforming growth factor, beta 1b (tgfb1b), which may account for the morphological variations of the pharyngeal jaw in the two hybrid lineages. Our current findings provide insights into the evolution of vertebrate genomes immediately following hybridization.

OBJECTIVE: To develop and validate an index to quantify the multimorbidity burden in Chinese middle-aged and older community-dwelling individuals. METHODS: We included 20,035 individuals aged 45 and older from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) and 19,297 individuals aged 65 and older from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS). Health outcomes of physical functioning (PF), basic and instrumental activities of daily living (ADL and IADL) and mortality were obtained. Based on self-reported disease status, we calculated five commonly used western multimorbidity indexes for CHARLS baseline participants. The one that predicted the health outcomes the best was selected and then modified through a linear mixed model using the repeated individual data in CHARLS. The performance of the modified index was internally and externally evaluated with CHARLS and CLHLS data. RESULTS: The multimorbidity-weighted index (MWI) performed the best among the five indexes. In the modified Chinese multimorbidity-weighted index (CMWI), the weights of the diseases varied greatly (range 0.2-5.1). The top three diseases with the highest impact were stroke, memory-related diseases and cancer, corresponding to weights of 5.1, 4.3 and 3.4, respectively. Compared with the MWI, the CMWI showed better model fits for PF and IADL with larger R2 and smaller Akaike information criterion, and comparable prediction performances for ADL, IADL and mortality (e.g. the same predictive accuracy of 0.80 for ADL disability). CONCLUSION: The CMWI is an adequate index to quantify the multimorbidity burden for Chinese middle-aged and older community-dwelling individuals. It can be directly computed via disease status examined in regular community health check-ups to facilitate health management.

Triploid crucian carp (TCC) is obtained by hybridization of female diploid red crucian carp (Carassius auratus red var., RCC) and male allotetraploid hybrids. In this study, high-throughput sequencing was used to conduct the transcriptome analysis of the female hypothalamus of diploid RCC, diploid common carp (Cyprinus carpio L., CC) and TCC. The key functional expression genes of the hypothalamus were obtained through functional gene annotation and differential gene expression screening. A total of 71.56 G data and 47,572 genes were obtained through sequencing and genome mapping, respectively. The Fuzzy Analysis Clustering assigned the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) into eight groups, two of which, overdominance expression (6005, 12.62%) and underdominance expression (3849, 8.09%) in TCC were further studied. KEGG enrichment analysis showed that the DEGs in overdominance were mainly enriched in four pathways. The expression of several fertility-related genes was lower levels in TCC, whereas the expression of several growth-related genes and immune-related genes was higher levels in TCC. Besides, 15 DEGs were verified by quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR). The present study can provide a reference for breeding sterility, fast-growth, and disease-resistant varieties by distant hybridization.

C-type lectins (CTLs) play important roles in innate immune system of crustaceans as pattern recognition receptors (PRRs). In this study, a novel CTL gene was obtained from the red swamp crayfish, Procambarus clarkii, designated as PcLec. PcLec encodes a peptide with 175 amino acids, with a signal peptide and a single carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD). The PcLec transcripts were specifically expressed in crayfish stomach and were induced by bacterial challenge. In vitro assays with recombinant PcLec protein revealed that it had bacterial binding activity, polysaccharide binding activity, bacterial agglutination activity, and antimicrobial activity. Most importantly, PcLec knockdown significantly impaired the survivability of crayfish upon oral infection with its pathogen A. hydrophila. According to these results, we infer that the PcLec plays a crucial role in antibacterial defense of crayfish.

Whey acidic protein domain (WAPD) occurs in a variety of proteins in animals and many of WAPD-containing proteins are involved in immunity. In the present study, a novel protein containing three WAPDs was identified from the weather loach, Misgurnus anguillicaudatus, designated as MaTWD. MaTWD share high identity with TWDs from fish but low identity with TWDs from other animal phyla. MaTWD transcripts mainly distributed in gills and head kidney responded to bacterial challenge with significant upregulation. In vitro assay with recombinant MaTWD protein revealed that MaTWD had antiprotease activity against bacterial proteases. Moreover, MaTWD exhibited bacterial binding capacity and antimicrobial activity. Most importantly, exogenous MaTWD protected loach against bacterial infection by reducing loach mortality. We infer that MaTWD participates in the antibacterial immunity of loach via its antiprotease and antimicrobial activities.

C-type lectins are carbohydrate-binding proteins that play important roles in immunity by serving as pattern recognition receptors. In the present study, a novel nattectin-like C-type lectin was obtained from the weather loach, Misgurnus anguillicaudatus, designated as MaCTL. MaCTL encodes a peptide with 165 amino acids, with a signal peptide and a single C-type lectin domain (CTLD), containing a galactose-specific QPD motif and a conserved Ca2+ -binding site. Transcripts of MaCTL were significantly upregulated after immune challenge with its pathogen A. hydrophila. In vitro assays with recombinant MaCTL protein revealed that it exhibited hemagglutinating and bacterial agglutinating activities, in a Ca2+ -dependent manner. MaCTL was found to bind to a wide range of bacteria, as well as bind to bacterial polysaccharides LPS and PGN. Moreover, MaCTL displayed antimicrobial activity by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. These results collectively suggest that MaCTL is involved in the antibacterial defence of weather loach.

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) play an important role in the activation of innate immune response in animals. In this study, we identified a TLR from the oriental river prawn, Macrobrachium nipponense (MnToll1) and investigated its functions in immunity. The MnToll1 protein shares similar structural characteristics with other known Toll family proteins. MnToll1 transcripts are broadly distributed in all of the examined tissues, and its expression level was significantly up-regulated by bacterial challenge. RNAi-mediated knockdown of MnToll1 significantly impaired the survivability of Vibrio-challenged prawns. RNAi experiments also revealed that the expression of several antimicrobial peptide genes were regulated by MnToll1. Moreover, we found the extracellular region of MnToll1 could directly bind to bacteria and bacterial glycoconjugates. These findings suggest that MnToll1 function as a pattern recognition receptor to recognize invading pathogen and initiate downstream gene expression, to participate in antibacterial defense of M. nipponense.

Spermatogenesis involves a series of cellular transformations and thousands of regulated genes. Previously, we showed that the triploid fish (3nBY) cannot produce mature spermatozoa. In the present study, evaluation of the testis microstructure revealed that germ cells of 3nBY could develop into round spermatids, but then degenerated, resulting in male infertility. In this study we comparatively analysed the testis transcriptomes from 3nBY and its diploid parent YB and identified a series of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) that were enriched in the Wnt signalling pathway and the apoptotic and ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis processes in 3nBY. Gene ontology functional analyses revealed that some DEGs in 3nBY were directly associated with the process of gamete generation, development and sperm flagellum assembly. In addition, the expression of a number of genes related to meiosis (Inhibitor Of DNA Binding 2 (ID2), Ovo Like Transcriptional Repressor 1 (OVOL1)), mitochondria (ATP1b (ATPase Na+/K+ Transporting Subunit Beta 1), ATP2a (ATPase, Ca++ Transporting, Cardiac Muscle, Slow Twitch 2), ATP5a (ATP Synthase F1 Subunit Alpha), Mitochondrially Encoded Cytochrome C Oxidase I (COX1), NADH Dehydrogenase Subunit 4 (ND4)) and chromatin structure (Histone 1 (H1), Histone 2a (H2A), Histone 2b (H2B), Histone 3 (H3), Histone 4 (H4)) was lower in the testes of 3nBY, whereas the expression of genes encoding ubiquitin (Ubiquitin Conjugating Enzymes (UBEs), Ring Finger Proteins (RNFs)) and apoptosis (CASPs (Caspase 3, Caspase 7,Caspase 8), BCLs (B-Cell Lymphoma 3, B-Cell CLL/Lymphoma 2, B Cell CLL/Lymphoma 10)) proteins involved in spermatid degeneration was higher. These data suggest that the disrupted expression of genes associated with spermatogenesis and the increased expression of mitochondrial ubiquitin, which initiates cell apoptosis, may result in spermatid degeneration in male 3nBY. This study provides information regarding the potential molecular regulatory mechanisms underlying male infertility in polyploid fish.

BACKGROUND: Hybridization and polyploidization are regarded as the major driving forces in plant speciation, diversification, and ecological adaptation. Our knowledge regarding the mechanisms of duplicated-gene regulation following genomic merging or doubling is primarily derived from plants and is sparse for vertebrates. RESULTS: We successfully obtained an F1 generation (including allodiploid hybrids and triploid hybrids) from female Megalobrama amblycephala Yih (BSB, 2n = 48) × male Xenocypri davidi Bleeker (YB, 2n = 48). The duplicated-gene expression patterns of the two types of hybrids were explored using RNA-Seq data. In total, 5.44 × 108 (69.32 GB) clean reads and 499,631 assembled unigenes were obtained from the testis transcriptomes. The sequence similarity analysis of 4265 orthologs revealed that the merged genomes were dominantly expressed in different ploidy hybrids. The differentially expressed genes in the two types of hybrids were asymmetric compared with those in both parents. Furthermore, the genome-wide expression level dominance (ELD) was biased toward the maternal BSB genome in both the allodiploid and triploid hybrids. In addition, the dosage-compensation mechanisms that reduced the triploid expression levels to the diploid state were determined in the triploid hybrids. CONCLUSIONS: Our results indicate that divergent genomes undergo strong interactions and domination in allopolyploid offspring. Genomic merger has a greater effect on the gene-expression patterns than genomic doubling. The various expression mechanisms (including maternal effect and dosage compensation) in different ploidy hybrids suggest that the initial genomic merger and doubling play important roles in polyploidy adaptation and evolution.

To explore the moderating role of dyadic appraisal in the association between dyadic coping and diabetes management efficacy. Two hundred seventy six middle-aged and older couple pairs with one spouse who had diabetes were recruited from 14 community healthcare centers across Guangzhou. The moderating role of dyadic appraisal was investigated using the actor-partner interdependence moderation model. When both couples considered diabetes to be a shared condition, statistically-significant associations were found between patients' negative (ß = -22.7, p = 0.008) and neutral behaviors (ß = 13.6, p = 0.017), plus spouses' positive behaviors (ß = 22.8, p = 0.009) on their own diabetes management efficacy, respectively (i.e. actor effects); as well as between spouses' positive (ß = 16.8, p = 0.028), negative (ß = -28.5, p < 0.001), and neutral behaviors (ß = 16.9, p = 0.006) on patient's diabetes management efficacy (i.e. partner effects). Dyadic appraisal moderates the association between dyadic coping and diabetes management efficacy.

RATIONALE: Differentiation of benign and malignant lesions in the head of pancreas is the key. When the mass is small, it is difficult to distinguish via conventional imaging modalities. Positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (PET/MRI) can distinguish benign and malignant lesions from the perspective of metabolism, which provides a new idea for the diagnosis of pancreatic head mass. PATIENT CONCERNS: We report the case of a 44-year-old male patient who underwent an 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/MRI for medical examination. The patient did not complain of special discomfort. DIAGNOSES: PET-MRI revealed in the head of the pancreas, there is a circular space-occupying lesion without obvious fluorodeoxyglucose accumulation, which tends to be benign based on its MRI and metabolic characteristics. INTERVENTIONS: The patient refused further laboratory examination or ultrasound gastroscopy as there is no discomfort. OUTCOMES: No special discomfort was found in the patient after 6 months follow-up. LESSONS: If routine examination fails to diagnose benign or malignant pancreatic head occupying, and the patient refuses invasive examination, PET-MRI can be performed for identification.

Recently, cilia defects have been proposed to contribute to scoliosis. Here, we demonstrate that coiled-coil domain-containing 57 (Ccdc57) plays an essential role in straightening the body axis of zebrafish by regulating ciliary beating in the brain ventricle (BV). Zygotic ccdc57 (Zccdc57) mutant zebrafish developes scoliosis without significant changes in their bone density and calcification, and the maternal-zygotic ccdc57 (MZccdc57) mutant embryos display curved bodies since the long-pec stage. The expression of ccdc57 is enriched in ciliated tissues and immunofluorescence analysis reveals colocalization of Ccdc57-HA with acetylated α-tubulin, implicating it in having a role in ciliary function. Further examination reveals that it is the coordinated cilia beating of multiple cilia bundles (MCB) in the MZccdc57 mutant embryos that is affected at 48 hours post fertilization, when the compromised cerebrospinal fluid flow and curved body axis have already occurred. Either ccdc57 mRNA injection or epinephrine treatment reverses the spinal curvature in MZccdc57 mutant larvae from ventrally curly to straight or even dorsally curly and significantly upregulates urotensin signaling. This study reveals the role of ccdc57 in maintaining coordinated cilia beating of MCB in the BV.

OBJECTIVE: Primary bone lymphoma (PBL) is a rare type of extranodal lymphoma, and the clinical application value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/computed tomography ( 18 F-FDG PET/CT) in PBL has not been fully evaluated. This study aimed to determine the imaging characteristics of PBL and investigate the value of 18 F-FDG PET/CT parameters. METHODS: A total of 25 patients with PBL who underwent PET/CT examination before treatment were included in this study. The clinicopathological parameters and PET/CT parameters were analyzed. RESULTS: Among the 25 patients, 7 patients had single lesions, 15 patients had nonsingle lesions (≥2) and 3 patients had diffuse distribution in the medullary cavity. The bone destruction types included osteolytic, osteogenic, normal density, mixed lytic and osteogenic. All patients showed increased FDG uptake, and the CT detection rate was 88%. Five patients underwent PET/CT assessment mid-treatment, and when assessed using the Deauville five-point scale, four patients were PET-negative and one patient was PET-positive. There were two PET-positive and three PET-negative patients when assessed using the Δ maximum standardized uptake value (SUV max ) method. Six patients underwent PET/CT imaging at the end of treatment. When assessed using the Deauville five-point scale, five patients (83%) were PET-negative and one patient (17%) was PET-positive. The same results were obtained when evaluated by the ΔSUV max method. CONCLUSION: PET/CT plays a substantial role in the diagnosis and treatment efficacy evaluation of PBL, and it should be recognized by clinicians and radiologists. Changes in metabolic parameters such as SUV, metabolic tumor volume and total lesion glycolysis have considerable potential for application in PBL diagnostics and treatment efficacy evaluation.

Recently, the morbidity and mortality of pancreatic cancer have been increasing year by year. Because of its deep anatomical location and because most presented patients often suffer from abdominal pain or jaundice, it is difficult to diagnose pancreatic cancer at an early stage, leading to late clinical stage and poor prognosis. integrated positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging (PET/MRI) fusion imaging not only has the characteristics of high resolution and multi-parameter imaging of MRI, but also combines the high sensitivity and the semi-quantitative characteristics of PET. In addition, the continuous development of novel MRI imaging and PET imaging biomarkers provide a unique and precise research direction for future pancreatic cancer research. This review summarizes the value of PET/MRI in the diagnosis, staging, efficacy monitoring, and prognosis evaluation of pancreatic cancer, and prognosis for developing emerging imaging agents and artificial intelligence radiomics in pancreatic cancer.

Objectives: Lung cancer has been widely characterized through radiomics and artificial intelligence (AI). This review aims to summarize the published studies of AI based on positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) radiomics in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Materials and methods: A comprehensive search of literature published between 2012 and 2022 was conducted on the PubMed database. There were no language or publication status restrictions on the search. About 127 articles in the search results were screened and gradually excluded according to the exclusion criteria. Finally, this review included 39 articles for analysis. Results: Classification is conducted according to purposes and several studies were identified at each stage of disease:1) Cancer detection (n=8), 2) histology and stage of cancer (n=11), 3) metastases (n=6), 4) genotype (n=6), 5) treatment outcome and survival (n=8). There is a wide range of heterogeneity among studies due to differences in patient sources, evaluation criteria and workflow of radiomics. On the whole, most models show diagnostic performance comparable to or even better than experts, and the common problems are repeatability and clinical transformability. Conclusion: AI-based PET/CT Radiomics play potential roles in NSCLC clinical management. However, there is still a long way to go before being translated into clinical application. Large-scale, multi-center, prospective research is the direction of future efforts, while we need to face the risk of repeatability of radiomics features and the limitation of access to large databases.

Malignant tumors is a serious public health threat. Among them, lung cancer, which has the highest fatality rate globally, has significantly endangered human health. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and its integration with medicine, AI research in malignant lung tumors has become critical. This article reviews the value of CAD, computer neural network deep learning, radiomics, molecular biomarkers, and digital pathology for the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of malignant lung tumors.
