RESUMEN

La Tuberculosis es una enfermedad infectocontagiosa causada por la bacteria llamada Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Generalmente afecta a los pulmones, pero puede encontrarse en otros órganos como la pleura, laringe, peritoneo, piel, riñones, entre otros. Es curable y deja de transmitirse la enfermedad con el tratamiento, es importante el apoyo familiar, social y del sistema de salud para fomentar la adherencia al tratamiento.

ABSTRACT

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It generally affects the lungs, but can be found in other organs such as the pleura, larynx, peritoneum, skin, and kidneys, among others. It is curable and the disease stops being transmitted with treatment, family, social and health system support is important to promote adherence to treatment.
