With the aging world population, the incidence of soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in the elderly gradually increases and the prognosis is poor. The primary goal of this research was to analyze the relevant risk factors affecting the postoperative overall survival in elderly STS patients and to provide some guidance and assistance in clinical treatment. The study included 2,353 elderly STS patients from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database. To find independent predictive variables, we employed the Cox proportional risk regression model. R software was used to develop and validate the nomogram model to predict postoperative overall survival. The performance and practical value of the nomogram were evaluated using calibration curves, the area under the curve, and decision curve analysis. Age, tumor primary site, disease stage, tumor size, tumor grade, N stage, and marital status, are the risk variables of postoperative overall survival, and the prognostic model was constructed on this basis. In the two sets, both calibration curves and receiver operating characteristic curves showed that the nomogram had high predictive accuracy and discriminative power, while decision curve analysis demonstrated that the model had good clinical usefulness. A predictive nomogram was designed and tested to evaluate postoperative overall survival in elderly STS patients. The nomogram allows clinical practitioners to more accurately evaluate the prognosis of individual patients, facilitates the progress of individualized treatment, and provides clinical guidance.

Chondrosarcoma (CS) is the second most frequent primary malignant bone tumour, characterized by production of non-osteoid cartilage matrix. Up to more than 30% of patients with CS present distant metastases, and the lungs represent the preferred site. Hence, CS soft tissue metastases and superficial cutaneous lesions are extremely rare. We report the case of a female who developed unusual multiple soft tissue CS metastases. This patient underwent left hindquarter amputation for recurrent grade 3 chondrosarcoma of the femoral neck with extension to the pelvis approximately 4 years after internal fixation with an intramedullary nail for pathological fracture of left proximal femur and subsequent total proximal femoral endoprosthetic replacement for grade 1-2 chondrosarcoma. In the following years, she underwent metastasectomy for several grade 2 pulmonary metastatic chondrosarcomas. More than 14 years after the amputation, she presented with multiple unusual superficial cutaneous lesions, and a whole-body magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated multiple soft tissue foci of metastatic disease. The histology of multiple soft tissue lesions excised confirmed metastatic chondrosarcoma. Then, she underwent marginal excision of further multifocal soft tissue metastatic high-grade chondrosarcoma. Unlike the poor survival from the onset of these metastases in the other cases reported in the literature, our patient is still alive 2 years after the first multiple soft tissue excision of metastatic chondrosarcoma, and approximately 20 years after the diagnosis of chondrosarcoma. Soft tissue CS metastases are a rare entity with few cases described in literature. This study aims to make the reader aware of this lesser-known CS manifestation.

Introduction: The management of soft tissue sarcomas presents considerable therapeutic challenges. This study was designed to assess the efficacy of neoadjuvant sequential chemotherapy and hypofractionated radiotherapy in conjunction with extensive surgical resection for the treatment of high-risk soft tissue sarcomas. Materials and methods: We performed a retrospective review of 31 high-risk soft tissue sarcoma patients treated at our institution from June 2021 to June 2023. The cohort consisted of 21 males and 10 females with a mean age of 55.7 years and included both initial and recurrent disease presentations. Our treatment regimen comprised two to three cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy coupled with hypofractionated radiotherapy, delivered at 5 Gy per fraction to a total dose of 25-35 Gy across 5-7 days, prior to surgical resection aimed at achieving wide margins. Data collection was systematic, covering surgical outcomes, chemoradiotherapy-related complications, and prognostic factors. Results: All patients completed the prescribed course of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. 29% patients experienced grade 3+ chemotherapy toxicity, necessitating a reduction or interruption in their chemotherapy regimen. Limb preservation was accomplished in 30 patients finally. Response evaluation using RECIST 1.1 criteria post-neoadjuvant therapy revealed 9.7% with PD, 58.1% with SD, 29% with a PR, and 3.2% with a CR, culminating in an ORR of 32.2%. Postoperative complications included superficial wound infections in four patients and deep incisional infections in another four. 6 patients had developed metastasis, and 3 patients were still alive. Two experienced local recurrence. One-year DFS was 79.3%, with a one-year OS rate of 89.6%. Conclusion: Neoadjuvant sequential chemotherapy and hypofractionated radiotherapy followed by extensive surgical resection represents an effective treatment paradigm for high-risk soft tissue sarcomas. This multimodal approach not only facilitates tumor reduction but also significantly reduces the risks of local recurrence and distant metastasis.

Vascular leiomyomas are infrequent benign soft tissue neoplasms arising from vascular wall. These lesions are more frequent in females, predominantly seen in lower extremities presenting as slowly enlarging freely mobile palpable soft tissue lesions, often painful. The role of imaging in small peripheral soft tissue masses is often limited to preoperative mapping with a long list of potential differentials. We are presenting 2 case studies of palpable masses with similar pathology, soft tissue vascular leiomyomas where its MR features can be helpful in inclusion of this entity not only in differential diagnosis of enhancing small peripheral soft tissue masses but can suggest a diagnosis in appropriate clinical scenario.

We report a case of a 54-year-old female who presents with a gradually expanding mass at the right lateral malleolus. The diagnosis of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma was made after a histopathological examination of the mass following a wide tumor excision. The defected soft tissue area was reconstructed using a local flap, reverse sural artery flap. Following the surgical management, multiple radiotherapy sessions were completed. The patient's follow-up result showed no signs of local recurrence or metastasis, and the wound was well-healed with no complications other than paresthesia in a small area at the posterolateral aspect of the ankle under the lateral malleolus. This case represents a rare form of malignant neoplasm and emphasizes the effectiveness and safety of the reverse sural artery flap reconstruction technique, especially in places where microsurgery is unavailable or when the patient's status does not allow for prolonged anesthesia.

Keratinized tissue augmentation around implants guarantees long-term success and maintenance of implant rehabilitations. Free gingival grafting is often described as the gold standard, especially when dealing with limited residual keratinized tissue height. Traditionally, an epithelio-conjunctive graft is harvested, either on the palate or the tuberosity, to reconstruct the missing keratinized soft tissues. This article introduces an innovative approach to increase keratinized tissue around implants, benefiting from second-intention gingival healing. This original surgical approach is interesting because it does not involve autogenous grafting or biomaterials. Its main goals are to enhance predictability while reducing the numerous per and post-operative risks related to autogenous harvesting. The success of this technique depends on the observance of fundamental principles: protection against bacterial contamination (immunocompetence of the patient), phenotypic induction (preoperative presence of keratinized tissue), space maintenance, and stabilization of flaps.

BACKGROUND: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a worldwide pandemic affecting 500 million people. It is known to be associated with increased susceptibility to soft tissue infections (STI). Despite being a major public health burden, the literature relating the effects of DM and the presentation, severity and healing of STIs in general surgical patients remain limited. METHOD: We conducted a retrospective review of all patients admitted with STI in a tertiary teaching hospital over a 12-month period. Patient demographics and surgical outcomes were collected and analysed. RESULTS: During the study period, 1059 patients were admitted for STIs (88% required surgery). DM was an independent risk factor for LOS. Diabetic patients presented with higher body-mass index (28 vs. 26), larger abscess size (24 vs. 14 cm2) and had a longer length of stay (4.4 days vs. 2.9 days). They also underwent a higher proportion of wide debridement and application of negative pressure wound therapy (42% vs. 35%). More diabetic patients underwent subsequent re-operation within the same sitting (8 vs. 4). Diabetic patients were two times more likely to present with carbuncles (p = 0.02). CONCLUSION: The incidence of STIs among DM patients represent a significant disease burden, surgeons should consider intensive patient counselling and partnering with primary care providers in order to help reduce the incidence of future STI admissions based upon lifestyle modification and glucose control.

AIMS: In the present case series, we performed implant surgery using a modified roll envelope technique and an apically repositioned flap (MRARF). To improve patients' peri-implant soft tissue phenotypes, they underwent dental implantation following the buccal contour concavities, inadequate keratinized tissue width, and soft tissue thickness simultaneously. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This case series includes four patients treated between July 2021 and February 2022 who received dental implants and GBR treatment six months earlier and were to be taken up for second-stage surgery. They were eligible for the MRARF technique if each implant site showed a labial and buccal deficiency and a reduced keratinized mucosa width than the adjacent teeth. Sutures were removed two weeks after surgery, and a provisional restoration was delivered. A final impression was taken at six weeks to produce the definitive implant-supported restoration. RESULTS: All surgery sites healed uneventfully, and no postoperative pain or excessive swelling was reported. The modified flap design allowed for increasing the width and thickness of keratinized mucosa with a minimally invasive technique. A harmonious color, texture, and mucogingival junction position that matched the surrounding tissue and adjacent teeth was achieved, and all patients were satisfied with the final results. CONCLUSIONS: MRARF at second-stage implant surgery could obtain satisfactory results regarding vertical and horizontal aesthetic gingival contours and an adequate width and thickness of keratinized mucosa around the implants.

Background: Soft tissue sarcoma (STS) is comprised of approximately 80 subtypes, with an incidence of 4 - 5 per 100,000 annually in Europe. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines recommend consideration of neoadjuvant/adjuvant chemotherapy in tumors at high risk of recurrence based on the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging. Alternatively, the Sarculator is a risk prediction tool that has identified a threshold of risk, above which chemotherapy may provide an overall survival (OS) benefit. Using this nomogram, patients with a 10-year predicted OS < 60% are classified as high risk and should be considered for chemotherapy. The aim of this study was to assess the prognostic accuracy of these two risk prediction methods in an Irish population. Methods: All newly diagnosed patients with resected STS discussed in the STS tumor board in Cork University Hospital between January 2012 and December 2021 were identified. Clinicopathological data were collected. Risk assessment using AJCC and Sarculator nomogram was performed on all patients with an extremity/trunk sarcoma. The OS was calculated including Kaplan-Meier method for time to event analysis. Results: In total, 200 STS patients were reviewed, of whom 134 had truncal or extremity tumors. Sarculator score was calculated for 60 of these (well differentiated liposarcomas, desmoid tumors and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans were excluded). Using the Sarculator nomogram to calculate 10-year predicted OS, 19 patients were categorized as high risk and 41 were categorized as low risk. Using AJCC staging, 25 patients were categorized as high risk and 35 as low risk. The 5-year OS rate in the Sarculator high-risk group was 60.2%, compared with 87.1% in the low-risk group (P = 0.009). The 5-year OS rate in the AJCC high-risk group was 67.6%, compared with 86.3% in the low-risk group (P = 0.083). Conclusions: Our cohort is representative of the broad histological subtypes expected. In our population, Sarculator score results correlate with international outcomes and higher scores were associated with increased mortality. The Sarculator was more predictive of clinical outcome than AJCC staging, and its use would lower the proportion of patients being considered for adjuvant chemotherapy thereby sparing toxicity, which is important in the setting of uncertain clinical benefit.

This report describes the case of a 29-year-old male who presented with painless swelling on the volar aspect of his right middle finger. The initial clinical impression was consistent with an epidermal inclusion cyst. A plain radiograph of the lesion revealed a circumscribed superficial nodular soft tissue mass confined to the dermis of the affected finger. Following surgical excision and subsequent histopathologic examination, the lesion was ultimately identified as a myopericytoma (MPC). The occurrence of MPCs in the finger is uncommon; thus, a high level of suspicion is required to consider it as one of the differential diagnoses for painless nodules in this anatomical location. Surgery serves as the primary method for treatment, and histopathologic evaluation plays a crucial role in confirming the diagnosis and ruling out malignancy.

BACKGROUND: Aiming to measure and compare asymmetry of facial hard and soft tissues in patients with HFM and isolated microtia, examining how it evolves. METHODS: This cross-sectional study assessed facial asymmetry in male East Asian patients aged 5-12 diagnosed with unilateral hemifacial microsomia (Pruzansky-Kaban types I and IIA) or isolated microtia. Using 3D imaging of computed tomography scans, it measured root-mean-square (RMS) values for surface deviations across facial regions. Statistical analyses explored differences between conditions and the relationship of age with facial asymmetry. RESULTS: A total of 120 patients were categorized into four groups by condition (HFM or isolated microtia) and age (5-7 and 8-12 years). Patients with HFM exhibited the greatest asymmetry in the lower cheek, while those with isolated microtia showed primarily upper face asymmetry. Significant differences, except in the forehead and nasal soft tissue, were noted between the groups across age categories. Notable distinctions in hard tissue were found between age groups in the nasal and mid-cheek areas for patients with HFM (median RMS (mm) 0.9 vs. 1.1, P = 0.02; 1.5 vs. 1.7, P = 0.03) and in the nasal and upper lip areas for patients with isolated microtia (median RMS (mm) 0.8 vs. 0.9, P = 0.002; 0.8 vs. 1.0, P = 0.002). Besides these areas for HFM, no significant age-asymmetry correlation was detected. CONCLUSIONS: Significant differences in facial asymmetry were observed between HFM and isolated microtia, with the asymmetry in specific area evolving over time. BACKGROUND: Diabetes-related foot infections are common and represent a significant clinical challenge. There are scant data about outcomes from large cohorts. The purpose of this study was to report clinical outcomes from a large cohort of people with diabetes-related foot infections. METHODS: A tertiary referral hospital limb preservation service database was established in 2018, and all new episodes of foot infections were captured prospectively using an electronic database (REDCap). People with foot infections between January 2018 and May 2023, for whom complete data were available on infection episodes, were included. Infection outcomes were compared between skin and soft tissue infections (SST-DFI) and osteomyelitis (OM) using chi-square tests. RESULTS: Data extraction identified 647 complete DFI episodes in 397 patients. The data set was divided into two cohorts identifying each infection episode and its severity as either SST-DFI (N = 326, 50%) or OM (N = 321, 50%). Most infection presentations were classified as being moderate (PEDIS 3 = 327, 51%), with 36% mild (PEDIS 2 = 239) and 13% severe (PEDIS 4 = 81). Infection resolution occurred in 69% (n = 449) of episodes with failure in 31% (n = 198). Infection failures were more common with OM than SST-DFI (OM = 140, 71% vs. SST-DFI = 58, 29%, p < 0.00001). In patients with SST-DFI a greater number of infection failures were observed in the presence of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) compared to the patients without PAD (failure occurred in 30% (31/103) of episodes with PAD and 12% (27/223) of episodes without PAD; p < 0.001). In contrast, the number of observed infection failures in OM episodes were similar in patients with and without PAD (failure occurred in 45% (57/128) of episodes with PAD and 55% (83/193) of episodes without PAD; p = 0.78). CONCLUSIONS: This study provides important epidemiological data on the risk of poor outcomes for DFI and factors associated with poor outcomes in an Australian setting. It highlights the association of PAD and treatment failure, reinforcing the need for early intervention to improve PAD in patients with DFI. Future randomised trials should assess the benefits of revascularisation and surgery in people with DFI and particularly those with OM where outcomes are worse.

Ripretinib, a broad-spectrum inhibitor of the KIT and PDGFRA receptor tyrosine kinases, is designated as a fourth-line treatment for gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). It is tailored for patients resistant to imatinib, sunitinib, and regorafenib. As its increasing use, instances of resistance to ripretinib are becoming more frequent. Unfortunately, there are currently no scientifically mature treatment options available for patients resistant to ripretinib. Posttranslational modifications (PTMs) such as ubiquitination, in conjunction with its interplay with other modifications, play a collective role in regulating tumor initiation and progression. However, the specific association between ubiquitination and ripretinib resistance is not reported. Through proteome-ubiquitinome sequencing, increased levels of the USP5 protein and decreased ubiquitination in ripretinib-resistant GISTs are detected. Subsequent examination of the mass spectrometry findings validated the interaction through which TRIM21 governs USP5 expression via ubiquitination, and USP5 regulates MDH2 expression through deubiquitination, consequently fostering ripretinib resistance in GIST. Moreover, ZDHHC18 can palmitoylate MDH2, preventing its ubiquitination and further increasing its protein stability. The research underscores the correlation between posttranslational modifications, specifically ubiquitination, and drug resistance, emphasizing the potential of targeting the USP5-MDH2 axis to counteract ripretinib resistance in GIST.

BACKGROUND: Limited understanding exists regarding early sarcoma symptoms presented during general practitioner (GP) consultations. The study explores GP visit patterns and recorded diagnoses in the 12 months preceding sarcoma diagnosis. METHODS: Sarcoma cases diagnosed from 2010 to 2020 were identified through the Netherlands Cancer Registry alongside general practice data. Sarcoma cases were age and gender matched to cancer-free controls (2:1 or 1:1 ratio). RESULTS: A total of 787 individuals with soft-tissue sarcoma (STS) and 188 individuals with bone sarcoma (BS) were identified. There was a significant difference in monthly GP contacts from 4 months to the last month before STS diagnosis, and 2 months before BS diagnosis between cases and controls. Most prevalent diagnoses recorded by the GP for STS cases included musculoskeletal neoplasm (26.6%), uncomplicated hypertension (15.6%), and cystitis/other urinary infections (12.2%). For BS cases, musculoskeletal neoplasm (42.8%), knee symptoms/complaints (9.7%), and shoulder symptoms/complaints (9.7%) were most frequent. CONCLUSIONS AND DISCUSSION: A significant difference in GP contacts between cases and controls preceding sarcoma diagnosis. STS cases were predominantly diagnosed with nonspecific symptoms, whereas BS cases with diagnoses more suggestive of BS. Better understanding of the prediagnostic trajectory could aid GPs in early identification of sarcoma.

Purpose: Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) following total knee arthroplasty (TKA) presents significant challenges, especially in elderly and comorbid patients, often necessitating revision surgeries. We report on a series of patients with confirmed PJI of the knee and concomitant soft-tissue/extensor apparatus defects, treated by using pedicled myocutaneous medial or lateral sural artery perforator (MSAP/LSAP) gastrocnemius flaps. Methods: Our retrospective study at the Center for Musculoskeletal Infections, included patients with knee PJI undergoing pedicled myocutaneous MSAP/LSAP gastrocnemius flap reconstruction for combined soft tissue and extensor apparatus defects. The tendinous back of the gastrocnemius muscle was used and, if required, the Achilles tendon for extensor apparatus reconstruction, with the skin island addressing the cutaneous defect. Perioperative complications and postoperative outcomes after 1 year were evaluated, including functional and clinical assessments with the American Knee Society Score (AKSS). Results: Eight patients (mean age 73 years; five female) were included, predominantly with Staphylococcus aureus infections. Six patients involved isolated MSAP flaps, two were extended with the Achilles tendon. The median time for wound healing was 9 days. Short-term follow-up showed successful reconstruction in seven patients, with minor wound dehiscence in one patient. One patient required flap revision for a perigenicular haemato-seroma and two patients were diagnosed with new haematogenous PJI infection. Significant improvement in AKSS scores after surgery was observed (functional AKSS: median 33-85; clinical AKSS: median 64-91, p = 0.001). Conclusion: Pedicled myocutaneous MSAP/LSAP gastrocnemius flaps offer a safe, reliable and versatile option for reconstructing combined soft tissue and extensor apparatus defects in PJI after TKA. This approach yields excellent functional outcomes with minimal peri- and postoperative complications, which is particularly beneficial in elderly and comorbid patients and feasible in settings without microsurgical availability. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze articles on the diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcoma using positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) published in the last 13 years. The objective was to conduct a bibliometric analysis and identify the research hotspots and emerging trends. Methods: Web of Science was used to search for articles on PET/CT diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcoma published from January 2010 to June 2023. CiteSpace was utilized to import data for bibliometric analysis. Results: In total, 425 relevant publications were identified. Publications have maintained a relatively stable growth rate for the past 13 years. The USA has the highest number of published articles (139) and the highest centrality (0.35). The UDICE-French Research Universities group is the most influential institution. BYUN BH is a prominent contributor to this field. The Journal of Clinical Oncology has the highest impact factor in the field. Conclusion: The clinical application of PET/CT is currently a research hotspot. Upcoming areas of study concentrate on the merging of PET/CT with advanced machine learning and/or alternative imaging methods, novel imaging substances, and the fusion of diagnosis and therapy. The use of PET/CT has progressively become a crucial element in the identification and management of sarcomas. To confirm its efficacy, there is a need for extensive, multicenter, prospective studies.

Introduction: The reconstruction of both extra- and intra-oral soft tissue defects, particularly in restoring the morphology of the lip and the corners of the mouth, has posed a significant challenge for surgeons. Inappropriate methods often lead to maxillofacial deformity which then causes psychological and functional problems. This study aimed to address the challenge of reconstructing extensive and complex maxillofacial soft tissue defects, mainly focusing on the lip, the corners of the mouth, and the surrounding areas. Materials and methods: We developed a reconstruction approach by combining the 3dMDface System (3dMD) with the cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Firstly, with the extra-oral incision line, we evaluated the shape and the size of the extra-oral defect with 3dMD digitally. Then we used the corresponding maxillary and mandible tooth positions to record the intra-oral defect, which was then converted to digital images by combining 3dMD and CBCT. The islands of the anterolateral thigh perforator flap were then designed after the locations of the perforators were detected with Doppler ultrasonography. Results: A clinical case diagnosed as dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans was presented to illustrate the approach. The patient's tumor resection and the size of multiple defects were measured and simulated via the virtual surgery system. A three-island perforator flap from the descending branch of the lateral femoral circumflex artery was designed accurately. Two weeks postoperatively, the flap was healed as anticipated and the patient was satisfied with the profile. Conclusion: The combination of the 3dMD and CBCT technologies improves the accuracy and fitness of extra- and intra-oral soft tissue reconstruction.

Nodular fasciitis (NF) is a rare, benign, yet rapidly proliferative myofibroblastic soft tissue tumor that often mimics malignant lesions and presents significant diagnostic challenges. This case report describes a 16-year-old female whose mid-thoracic mass was initially mismanaged in an emergency setting as a sebaceous cyst. The misdiagnosis and subsequent inappropriate incision and drainage led to an iatrogenic flare-up, exacerbating the patient's condition and complicating her management course. The complexities encountered in this case underscore the critical need for stringent diagnostic protocols and multidisciplinary management to avoid iatrogenic complications and improve clinical outcomes in patients presenting with unusual soft tissue lesions. This report highlights the importance of adhering to established protocols for soft tissue lump evaluation and the potential pitfalls of misdiagnosis.

OBJECTIVE: Lipomatous soft tissue tumors (STT), ranging from benign lipomas to malignant liposarcomas, require accurate differentiation for timely treatment. Complementary to MRI, Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is emerging as a promising tool, providing insight into tumor microperfusion in real-time. This study aims to explore the potential of preoperative CEUS in differentiating benign lipomatous tumors from malignant liposarcoma subtypes. METHODS: Eighty-seven patients with lipomatous STT scheduled for surgery were enrolled. Clinical and MRI assessments were conducted to obtain general tumor characteristics. CEUS was used for a standardized tumor perfusion evaluation. Perfusion analysis included peak enhancement, rise time, wash-in perfusion index, and wash-out rate, reflecting the perfusion kinetics. Histopathological results were obtained for every STT and compared to perfusion characteristics. RESULTS: In total, 48 lipoma, 23 ALT and 11 liposarcoma were identified. Significant differences in tumor microperfusion were demonstrated, with higher perfusion levels indicating higher malignancy (Peak enhancement [a.u.] of Lipoma: 145 ± 238; ALT: 268 ± 368; Liposarcoma: 3256 ± 4333; p (ALT vs. Liposarcoma) < 0.001). A perfusion-based identification of a benign lipoma or ALT versus sarcoma resulted in a positive predictive value of 93%. Patient-related factors (age, gender, BMI, ASA score, smoking status) had no significant impact on the CEUS-based perfusion parameters. CONCLUSION: Our study suggests CEUS as a capable non-invasive tool for improving preoperative assessment of lipomatous STT. It can assist in the distinction between benign and malignant STT, accelerating treatment decisions and enhancing patient outcomes. Significant correlations between CEUS-derived parameters and malignancy highlight its risk assessment potential.

This case report presents a 64-year-old male with a giant intramuscular lipoma on the right lumbar region's latissimus dorsi muscle. The patient presented with painless swelling, which gradually increased over six years. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) confirmed the presence of the lipoma, prompting surgical intervention. The surgical procedure involved meticulous dissection and complete excision of the tumor. Histopathological examination validated the diagnosis. Comparative analyses with similar cases highlighted variations in surgical approaches and the challenges in managing intramuscular lipomas. This case emphasizes the importance of considering intramuscular lipomas in soft tissue mass differentials and the significance of comprehensive management strategies for optimal patient outcomes.
