RESUMO

The authors suggest an eversion method for the establishment of anastomosis with removal of the mucosa and preservation of the submucous coat in the zone of the contact of segments anastomosed in two variants: 1) double-row; 2) single-row. The method was tested in experiments on 40 dogs. Trophic disorders in the zone of the suture were mild, healing occurred by first intention but was more reliable in case of a single-row suture which allowed it to be applied in the clinic in resection of the large intestine for carcinoma in 5 patients. There were no complications on the part of the anastomosis.

RESUMO

The results of complex treatment of 81 patients with pyoinflammatory diseases with the use of blood ultraviolet irradiation are discussed. A marked clinical effect was noted, the terms of treatment reduced by 5-10 days, the outcomes improved, and the number of complications decreased. Irradiation of autologous blood by ultraviolet rays led to modulation of the indices of antimicrobial protection, increase of the intensity of the histochemical reaction to peroxidase up to 40-50%, and diminution of pH in the neutrophil phagosomes to 5.0. The ultrastructure and ability of thrombocytes to store serotonin were restored, and intensity of their metabolic processes increased, the membrane phospholipid composition changed, and juvenile platelet forms appeared.

RESUMO

The conductive-capsular anesthesia was used in 31 patients in operations on distal segments of extremities. The anesthesia was achieved by injection of 0.5% solution of novocain which is introduced into muscular capsules of the proximal segment of the extremity between two parallel tourniquets. Effective regional anesthesia took place in all the cases lower than the tourniquet. No complications were noted in the postoperative period.
