RESUMO

Essential thrombocythemia (ET) and prefibrotic primary myelofibrosis (pre-PMF) are Philadelphia chromosome-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms. These conditions share overlapping clinical presentations; however, their prognoses differ significantly. Current morphological diagnostic methods lack reliability in subtype differentiation, underlining the need for improved diagnostics. The aim of this study was to investigate the multi-omics alterations in bone marrow biopsies of patients with ET and pre-PMF to improve our understanding of the nuanced diagnostic characteristics of both diseases. We performed proteomic analysis with 4D direct data-independent acquisition and microbiome analysis with 2bRAD-M sequencing technology to identify differential protein and microbe levels between untreated patients with ET and pre-PMF. Laboratory and multi-omics differences were observed between ET and pre-PMF, encompassing diverse pathways, such as lipid metabolism and immune response. The pre-PMF group showed an increased neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and decreased high-density lipoprotein and cholesterol levels. Protein analysis revealed significantly higher CXCR2, CXCR4, and MX1 levels in pre-PMF, while APOC3, APOA4, FABP4, C5, and CFB levels were elevated in ET, with diagnostic accuracy indicated by AUC values ranging from 0.786 to 0.881. Microbiome assessment identified increased levels of Mycobacterium, Xanthobacter, and L1I39 in pre-PMF, whereas Sphingomonas, Brevibacillus, and Pseudomonas_E were significantly decreased, with AUCs for these genera ranging from 0.833 to 0.929. Our study provides preliminary insights into the proteomic and microbiome variations in the bone marrow of patients with ET and pre-PMF, identifying specific proteins and bacterial genera that warrant further investigation as potential diagnostic indicators. These observations contribute to our evolving understanding of the multi-omics variations and possible mechanisms underlying ET and pre-PMF.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of barbed and conventional sutures on reproductive outcomes and ovarian reserve after laparoscopic treatment for benign non-endometrioma ovarian cysts. METHODS: This retrospective study was conducted at an affiliated women's hospital between May 2017 and December 2019. Patients with benign non-endometriotic ovarian cysts undergoing laparoscopic cystectomy were included. RESULTS: Patients received barbed sutures (221 patients) or conventional smooth sutures (203 patients) intraoperatively. The two groups had comparable baseline characteristics. The surgical duration and ovarian suturing time were significantly shorter in the barbed suture group than in the conventional smooth suture group (P < 0.001 and P = 0.002, respectively). The rate of postoperative hemoglobin decline and serum anti-Müllerian hormone decline were similar between the two groups (P > 0.05). A total of 316 (74.53%) patients experienced at least one pregnancy postoperatively: 170 (76.92%) and 146 (71.92%) patients in the barbed suture and conventional smooth suture groups, respectively (χ2 = 1.395, P = 0.238). Multivariate Poisson regression demonstrated that barbed sutures had no significant effect on the overall postoperative pregnancy rate (adjusted incidence rate ratio, 1.10; 95% confidence interval, 0.93-1.36; P = 0.382). CONCLUSION: In patients with benign non-endometriotic ovarian cysts undergoing laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, barbed sutures had a reproductive outcome similar to that of conventional smooth sutures while providing higher surgical efficiency without adverse effects on the postoperative ovarian reserve. Barbed sutures are probably a viable option to conventional smooth sutures.

Patients with refractory immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) frequently encounter substantial bleeding risks and demonstrate limited responsiveness to existing therapies. Umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) present a promising alternative, capitalizing on their low immunogenicity and potent immunomodulatory effects for treating diverse autoimmune disorders. This prospective phase I trial enrolled eighteen eligible patients to explore the safety and efficacy of UC-MSCs in treating refractory ITP. The research design included administering UC-MSCs at escalating doses of 0.5 × 106 cells/kg, 1.0 × 106 cells/kg, and 2.0 × 106 cells/kg weekly for four consecutive weeks across three cohorts during the dose-escalation phase, followed by a dose of 2.0 × 106 cells/kg weekly for the dose-expansion phase. Adverse events, platelet counts, and changes in peripheral blood immunity were monitored and recorded throughout the administration and follow-up period. Ultimately, 12 (with an addition of three patients in the 2.0 × 106 cells/kg group due to dose-limiting toxicity) and six patients were enrolled in the dose-escalation and dose-expansion phase, respectively. Thirteen patients (13/18, 72.2%) experienced one or more treatment emergent adverse events. Serious adverse events occurred in four patients (4/18, 22.2%), including gastrointestinal hemorrhage (2/4), profuse menstruation (1/4), and acute myocardial infarction (1/4). The response rates were 41.7% in the dose-escalation phase (5/12, two received 1.0 × 106 cells/kg per week, and three received 2.0 × 106 cells/kg per week) and 50.0% (3/6) in the dose-expansion phase. The overall response rate was 44.4% (8/18) among all enrolled patients. To sum up, UC-MSCs are effective and well tolerated in treating refractory ITP (ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT04014166).

The clinical significance of the combination of neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) is unclear. This study investigated the predictive value of pretreatment NLR (pre-NLR) combined with pretreatment PLR (pre-PLR) for the survival and prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). A total of 765 patients with non-metastatic NPC from two hospitals were retrospectively analyzed. The pre-NLR-PLR groups were as follows: HRG, high pre-NLR and high pre-PLR. MRG, high pre-NLR and low pre-PLR or low pre-NLR and high pre-PLR. LRG, neither high pre-NLR nor high pre-PLR. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to identify the cutoff-value and discriminant performance of the model. We compared survival rates and factors affecting the prognosis among different groups. The 5-year overall survival (OS), local regional recurrence-free survival (LRRFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) of NPC patients in HRG were significantly poorer than those in MRG and LRG. The pre-NLR-PLR score was positively correlated with T stage, clinical stage, ECOG, and pathological classification. Multivariate cox regression analysis showed that pre-NLR-PLR scoring system, ECOG, pre-ALB, pre-CRP and pre-LMR were independent risk factors affecting 5-year OS, LRRFS and DMFS. The ROC curve showed that area under the curve (AUC) values of pre-NLR-PLR of 5-year OS, LRRFS and DMFS were higher than those of pre-NLR and pre-PLR. pre-NLR-PLR is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of NPC. The pre-NLR-PLR scoring system can be used as an individualized clinical assessment tool to predict the prognosis of patients with non-metastatic NPC more accurately and easily.

This study aimed to identify key proteomic analytes correlated with response to splenectomy in primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Thirty-four patients were retrospectively collected in the training cohort and 26 were prospectively enrolled as validation cohort. Bone marrow biopsy samples of all participants were collected prior to the splenectomy. A total of 12 modules of proteins were identified by weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) method in the developed cohort. The tan module positively correlated with megakaryocyte counts before splenectomy (r = 0.38, p = 0.027), and time to peak platelet level after splenectomy (r = 0.47, p = 0.005). The blue module significantly correlated with response to splenectomy (r = 0.37, p = 0.0031). KEGG pathways analysis found that the PI3K-Akt signalling pathway was predominantly enriched in the tan module, while ribosomal and spliceosome pathways were enriched in the blue module. Machine learning algorithm identified the optimal combination of biomarkers from the blue module in the training cohort, and importantly, cofilin-1 (CFL1) was independently confirmed in the validation cohort. The C-index of CFL1 was >0.7 in both cohorts. Our results highlight the use of bone marrow proteomics analysis for deriving key analytes that predict the response to splenectomy, warranting further exploration of plasma proteomics in this patient population.

Acquired hemophilia A (AHA) is a rare but serious bleeding disorder. Randomized controlled trial (RCT) comparing the efficacy of immunosuppression therapy for AHA lacks. We conducted the first multicenter RCT aiming to establish whether the single-dose rituximab combination regimen was noninferior to the cyclophosphamide combination regimen. From 2017 to 2022, 63 patients with newly diagnosed AHA from five centers were randomly assigned 1:1 to receive glucocorticoid (methylprednisolone 0.8 mg/kg per day for the first 3 weeks and then tapered) plus single-dose rituximab (375 mg/m2 ; n = 31) or plus cyclophosphamide (2 mg/kg per day until inhibitor becomes negative, for a maximum of 5 weeks; n = 32). The primary outcome was complete remission (CR, defined as FVIII activity ≥50 IU/dL, FVIII inhibitor undetectable, immunosuppression tapered and no bleeding for 24 h without bypassing agents) rate measured within 8 weeks. The noninferiority margin was an absolute difference of 20%. Twenty-four (77.4%) patients in the rituximab group and 22 (68.8%) patients in the cyclophosphamide group achieved CR, which showed the noninferiority of the single-dose rituximab-based regimen (absolute difference = -8.67%, lower limit of the 95% confidence interval = -13.11%; Pnoninferiority = 0.005). No difference was found in the incidence of treatment-related adverse events. Single-dose rituximab plus glucocorticoid regimen showed similar efficacy and safety, without a reported risk of secondary malignancies or reproductive toxicity seen in cyclophosphamide, it might be recommended as a first-line therapy for AHA, especially in China where there is a young age trend in AHA patients. This trial was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov as #NCT03384277.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: To examine the feasibility of level Ib-sparing intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) who had high-risk factors classified based on the International Guideline (IG). MATERIALS AND METHODS: We evaluated 961 non-metastatic NPC cases based on IG recommendations for prophylactic Ib irradiation. Four high-risk factors were used to categorise patients into three cohorts: A, B, and C. Propensity score matching was used to balance baseline characteristics in Cohort C, resulting in a matched Cohort C. Recurrence rates at level Ib and regional relapse-free survival (RRFS) rates were evaluated. RESULTS: Among patients with negative Ib lymph nodes (LNs), 18, 54, 420, and 444 exhibited involvement of structures that drain to level Ib as the first echelon (FES), involvement of the submandibular gland (SMG), level II LNs with radiologic extranodal extension (rENE), and level II nodes with a maximal axial diameter (MAD) ≥ 2 cm, respectively. The recurrence rate was highest in Cohort A (11.1 %). Cohort B had no level Ib recurrence. In matched Cohort C, recurrence rates were low in both groups (Ib-sparing group: 0.6 % vs. Ib-covering group: 0.6 %, P > 0.999). No significant differences were observed in 5-year RRFS rates between the two groups in cohort A (p = 0.208), cohort B (p = 0.905), and matched cohort C (p = 0.423). CONCLUSIONS: Level Ib-sparing IMRT could be performed safely for NPC patients with level II LNs who had rENE and/or MAD ≥ 2 cm. Further research should determine the necessity of level Ib prophylactic irradiation for patients with FES or SMG involvement.

Objective: To examine medical students' perceptions of the nutrition education received and their ability to apply that knowledge in clinical settings. Methods: This is a qualitative study using a structured survey with free responses to solicit the perspective of US medical students regarding their nutrition education. A national online survey was distributed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section on Pediatric Trainees. An expert committee in nutrition education evaluated and conducted a thematic analysis of the survey responses. Results: Twenty-four surveys were completed (10 medical students and 14 pediatric interns). The survey revealed students were not satisfied with the nutrition education they received in several areas including nutritional recommendations for obesity and prediabetes/diabetes; nutritional needs during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescent age-related dietary recommendations; cultural influences on diet and eating habits; and food insecurity. Students also reported a lack of confidence in providing healthful nutrition counseling to adolescent patients and delivering culturally appropriate nutrition advice. Conclusions: Survey responses revealed the need for improvements in several areas of nutrition curricula related to health and chronic disease management and suggest broader social determinants of health such as cultural influences on nutrition practices and food insecurity. The results of this survey provide unique insight into the medical student perspective on nutrition education and can inform the development of future medical school nutrition curriculums.

Background: Sleep problems (insomnia) and chronic pain are associated. Chronic pain and insomnia/insufficient sleep quality share similar symptoms and features. Although they have a bidirectional relationship, more research is needed to understand how they interact via mediators and how moderators influence this relationship. Aims: In this large clinical registry-based cohort study (N = 6,497), we investigate important mediators between insomnia and pain intensity in a cross-sectional sample of chronic pain patients using advanced path analysis. In addition, we investigate whether some background variables were moderators of the identified important paths or not and the correlation patterns between insomnia and pain intensity in relation to the mediators. Methods: This study includes a cohort of adult patients with chronic non-cancer pain from the Swedish Quality Registry for Pain Rehabilitation (SQRP) with data on patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) (2008-2016). The PROMs cover the background, pain aspects, psychological distress, pain-related cognitions, activity/participation, and health-related quality of life variables of the patients. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was used to explore the direct and indirect (via mediators) relationships between insomnia and pain intensity at baseline. Results: In this cohort study, insomnia was prevalent at 62.3%, and both direct and indirect mediating paths were present for the insomnia-pain intensity relationship. All of the mediating effects combined were weaker than the direct effect between insomnia and pain intensity. The mediating effects via catastrophizing and acceptance showed the strongest and equal mediating paths, and mediating effects via fear avoidance were the second strongest. Insomnia showed stronger direct significant correlations with psychological distress, catastrophizing, and acceptance compared with those of pain intensity. Sex, age, education level, spatial extent of pain, or body mass index did not moderate the mediating paths. Discussion and conclusion: This study confirms the existence of significant direct and mediating paths between reported insomnia and pain intensity. Future studies should focus on illuminating how sleep interventions influence pain intensity and other important key factors that contribute to the distress of chronic pain patients.

PURPOSE: Analyzing the prognostic value of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA load and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients, thereby developing a reliable and effective marker. METHODS: We compared survival rates among different groups using the Kaplan-Meier method and the Log-rank test. The factors affecting the prognosis of NPC patients were determined using univariate and multivariate cox regression analysis. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to identify the cutoff-value and discriminant performance of the model. RESULTS: The ROC curve indicated a cut-off value of 775 copies/ml for EBV DNA and 203.3 for PLR. Kaplan-Meier and Log-rank tests showed that 3-year overall survival (OS), local recurrence-free survival (LRFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) of NPC patients in high risk group (HRG) were significantly poorer than those in medium risk group (MRG) and low risk group (LRG). The 3-year OS of NPC patients was significantly correlated with age, N stage and EBV DNA-PLR. The 3-year LRFS were significantly correlated with sex, N stage, histology type, and EBV DNA-PLR. The 3-year DMFS were correlated with histology type. The ROC curve showed that area under the curve (AUC) values of EBV DNA-PLR of 3-year OS, LRFS and DMFS in NPC were higher than those of PLR and EBV DNA. CONCLUSION: EBV DNA-PLR is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of NPC. Compared with PLR or EBV DNA alone, the combination of EBV DNA and PLR may be more accurate in predicting the prognosis of NPC patients.

Approximately half of patients diagnosed with essential thrombocythemia (ET) are older adults (aged ≥ 60 years), but to date, little is known about the clinical and molecular characteristics of older patients diagnosed according to the 2016 World Health Organization criteria. We retrospectively collected clinical and molecular data from 282 older (≥ 60 years) and 621 younger ET patients (18-59 years) in China from March 1, 2012 to November 1, 2021 and summarized the clinical characteristics and treatment of these older ET patients. Compared to younger patients, older patients had a higher incidence of the JAK2V617F mutation (P = 0.001), a lower incidence of CALR mutations (P = 0.033) and a higher rate of epigenetic mutations (P < 0.001), TP53 mutations (P = 0.005), and RNA splicing mutations (P < 0.001). Older patients had not only a higher incidence of thrombosis but also a higher incidence of bleeding events. Furthermore, older patients had a significantly higher mortality rate after disease progression (P = 0.050) or after thrombotic events (P = 0.013). Risk factors for thrombosis or prognosis were significantly different between older patients and the entire ET cohort. In older patients, non-driver mutations contributed significantly to thrombotic complications and a poor prognosis, while the JAK2V617F mutation was a risk factor for overall survival but not for thrombotic events. The application of interferon in older ET patients was not inferior to that of hydroxyurea in terms of efficacy and safety. Older patients presented unique characteristics different from those of younger patients, which could provide new information for formulating more appropriate treatment and follow-up strategies.

BACKGROUND: Hospitalizations are opportunities to screen adolescents for risk behaviors, but screening occurs infrequently. At our institution, adolescent inpatients on pediatric services have an array of medical acuity and complexity, and only 11% had complete home; education; activities; drug, alcohol, and tobacco use; sexual history; and self-harm, suicidality, and mood (HEADSS) histories. The aim of this quality improvement project was to increase the HEADSS completion rate to 31% within 8 months of the initial Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle. METHODS: A working group identified key drivers of incomplete HEADSS histories. Interventions focused on creating and modifying note templates to encourage providers to obtain and document HEADSS histories, sharing data with providers, and educating providers. The primary outcome measure was the percent of patients with a complete HEADSS history. Process measures included use of a confidential note, documentation of a sexual history, and number of domains documented. The balancing measure was patients with no social history documented. RESULTS: A total of 539 admissions were included, 212 in the baseline period and 327 in the intervention period. The percent of patients with a complete HEADSS history increased from 11% to 39%. Use of a confidential note increased from 14% to 38%, documentation of a sexual history increased from 18% to 44%, and average number of domains documented increased from 2.2 to 3.3. The number of patients with no social history documented was unchanged. CONCLUSIONS: A quality improvement initiative using note templates can significantly increase the rate of complete HEADSS history documentation in the inpatient setting.

The current study involving 318 essential thrombocythemia (ET) patients with prior thrombosis was designed to identify risk factors that were predictive of recurrent thrombosis. The whole cohort was randomly split into derivation and validation cohorts. The random forest method, support vector machine with built-in recursive feature elimination model, and logistic multivariable analysis were performed in the derivation cohort, and cardiovascular risk factor (CVF) and RBC distribution width with standard deviation (RDW-SD) were finally selected as independent predictors. Subsequently we devise a 3-tiered model (low risk: 0 points; intermediate risk: 1-1.5 points; and high risk: 2.5 points) and it showed good discrimination in all cohorts. Moreover, the model was significantly correlated with rethrombosis-free survival (rTFS) (p = 0.0007 in the derivation cohort; p = 0.0019 in the validation cohort). In the whole cohort, cytoreductive therapy was more effective than antiplatelet agents alone for 10-year rTFS (p = 0.0336). No significant difference in 10-year rTFS was observed among interferon (IFN), hydroxyurea (HU), and IFN + HU therapy (p = 0.444). The present study helps identify individuals who need close monitoring and provides valuable risk signals for recurrence in ET patients with prior thrombosis.

INTRODUCTION: Platelet function, rather than platelet count, plays a crucial role in thrombosis in essential thrombocythemia (ET). However, little is known about the abnormal function of platelets in ET. Here, we investigated the functional characteristics of platelets in ET hemostasis to explore the causes of ET platelet dysfunction and new therapeutic strategies for ET. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We analyzed platelet aggregation, activation, apoptosis, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) in ET patients and JAK2V617F-positive ET-like mice. The effects of ROS on platelet function and the underlying mechanism were investigated by inhibiting ROS using N-acetylcysteine (NAC). RESULTS: Platelet aggregation, activation, apoptosis, ROS, and clot retraction were elevated in ET. No significant differences were observed between ET patients with JAK2V617F or CALR mutations. Increased ROS activated the JAK-STAT pathway, which may further influence platelet function. Inhibition of platelet ROS by NAC reduced platelet aggregation, activation, and apoptosis, and prolonged bleeding time. Furthermore, NAC treatment reduced platelet count in ET-like mice by inhibiting platelet production from megakaryocytes. CONCLUSIONS: Elevated ROS in ET platelets resulted in enhanced platelet activation, function and increased risk of thrombosis. NAC offers a potential therapeutic strategy for reducing platelet count.

BACKGROUND: Prosthetic joint infection (PJI) is associated with poor outcomes and catastrophic complications. The aim of this study was to present the outcomes of re-revision surgery for PJI of the knee following previous failed two-stage exchange arthroplasty. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A retrospective analysis was performed of 32 patients who underwent re-revision knee arthroplasty, having already undergone at least one previous two-stage exchange for PJI with a minimum follow-up of two-years for alive patients. Outcomes were compared to a matched control of two-stage revisions for PJI of a primary knee replacement also containing 32 patients. Outcomes investigated were eradication of infection, re-operation, mortality and limb-salvage rate. RESULTS: Successful eradication of infection was achieved in 50% of patients following re-revision surgery, compared with 91% following two-stage exchange of primary knee replacement for PJI (p < 0.001). Fourteen (44%) patients required further re-operation compared with three (9%) patients in the primary group (p = 0.006). Amputation was performed in one case (3%) with thirteen patients (92%) who had infection controlled by debridement, antibiotics and implant retention (DAIR), further revision surgery or arthrodesis. Two patients died with infection (6%) and the long-term rate for infection control was 91%. The mean number of procedures following surgery for the re-revision group was 2.8 (0-9) compared with 0.13 (0-1) for the primary two-stage group (p < 0.001). Five-year patient survival was 90.6% (95% CI 77.1-100). The limb-salvage rate for the re-revision cohort was 97%. CONCLUSION: Outcomes for re-revision knee arthroplasty for PJI have higher re-operation and failure rates, but no worse mortality than in revisions of primary knee replacements. Failures can successfully be managed by further operation.

Introduction: Obesity is a common comorbidity in fibromyalgia (FM). Both FM and obesity have been connected to low-grade inflammation, although it is possible that previously reported inflammatory alterations in FM primarily may be linked to increased body mass index (BMI). Objective: This study aimed to investigate whether the inflammatory plasma protein profile, muscle blood flow, and metabolism and pain characteristics (clinical parameters and patient-reported outcome measurements) differed between female patients with FM with and without obesity. Methods: Patients with FM underwent clinical examinations, physical tests, and answered questionnaires. They were dichotomized according to BMI (<30 kg/m2 [n = 14]; ≥30 kg/m2 [n = 13]). Blood samples were collected and analyzed using a panel of 71 inflammatory plasma proteins. Results: There were significant (P < 0.05) differences in blood pressure, pulse, max VO2, pain intensity, physical capacity, and Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire between the groups; the obese group had higher blood pressure, pulse, pain intensity, and Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire. There were 14 proteins that contributed to the group belonging. The 4 most important proteins for the group discrimination were MIP1ß, MCP4, IL1RA, and IL6, which showed higher concentrations in obese patients with FM. Significantly decreased blood flow and increased concentration of pyruvate were detected in obese patients compared with nonobese patients. There was significant correlation between inflammatory proteins and sedentary behavior and health status in obese patients with FM. Conclusions: These findings suggest that metabolism and inflammation interact in female patients with FM with obesity and might cause chronic low-grade inflammation. Screening for obesity and monitoring of BMI changes should be considered in the treatment of patients with FM.

Apelin (APLN) is an endogenous ligand of the G protein-coupled receptor APJ (APLNR). APLN/APLNR system was involved in a variety of pathological and physiological functions, such as tumorigenesis and development. However, its prognostic roles in patients with central nervous system (CNS) cancers remain unknown. The present study was designed to explore the expression profile, prognostic significance, and interaction network of APLN/APLNR by integrating data from Oncomine, GEPIA, LOGpc, STRING, GeneMANIA, and immunohistochemical staining. The results demonstrated that APLN and APLNR mRNA expression were significantly increased in CNS cancers, including both low-grade glioma (LGG) and glioblastoma (GBM), when compared with normal CNS tissues. The high APLN, but not APLNR, expression was significantly correlated with overall survival (OS), recurrence free survival (RFS), and progression free survival (PFS) of LGG patients. However, neither APLN nor APLNR expression was significantly related to prognostic value in terms of OS, disease free interval (DFI), disease specific survival (DSS), or progression free interval (PFI) for GBM patients. Additionally, immunohistochemistry staining confirmed the increased APLN expression in tissues of LGG patients with grade II than grade I. These results showed that an elevated APLN level could predict poor OS, RFS, and PFS for LGG patients, and it could be a promising prognostic biomarker for LGG.
