Neoadjuvant pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy (P + CT) has emerged as a standard of care for stage II-III triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, the best anthracycline-cyclophosphamide (AC) schedule remains to be determined. While the KEYNOTE-522 regimen employs AC every 3 weeks (q3w AC), previous studies have shown overall survival benefits of dose-dense regimens for early-stage breast cancer. The Neo-Real study (GBECAM-0123) is a real-world data effort evaluating patients with TNBC treated with neoadjuvant P + CT in ten cancer centers since July 2020. The objective of this analysis was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of dose-dense AC (ddAC) versus q3w AC. Among 333 patients included until November 2023, 311 completed neoadjuvant therapy and 279 underwent surgery with pathology reports available; ddAC was used in 58.2% and q3w AC in 41.8% of the cases. Most patients (69.1%) had stage II TNBC. A pCR was observed in 65.4% with ddAC and 58.7% with q3w AC (P = 0.260), while RCB 0-1 occurred in 82.4% and 73.5%, respectively (P = 0.115). Patients with stage III disease had a numerically higher pCR with ddAC (59% vs 40%, P = 0.155), while pCR rates were similar regardless of AC regimen in stage II disease (66.6% vs 64.5%; P = 0.760). While no significant disparities in drug discontinuation was noted, ddAC showed a trend towards higher rates of grade ≥3 AE (40.5% vs. 30.7%, P = 0.092). The Neo-Real study could not rule out a difference between ddAC and q3w AC during neoadjuvant P + CT. The observation of a potentially higher pCR with ddAC in stage III disease warrants further investigation.
RESUMO
PURPOSE: Most patients with cancer will be hospitalized throughout the disease course. However, most evidence on the causes and outcomes of these hospitalizations comes from administrative data or small retrospective studies from high-income countries. METHODS: This study is a retrospective cohort of patients with solid tumors hospitalized from February 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021, in a tertiary cancer center in São Paulo, Brazil. We collected data on cancer diagnosis, symptoms at admission, hospitalization diagnosis, and survival clinical outcomes during in-hospital stay (in-hospital mortality) and after discharge (readmission rates and overall survival [OS]). Progressive disease (PD) diagnosis during admission was retrieved from manual chart review if explicitly stated by the attending physician. We modeled in-hospital mortality and postdischarge OS with logistic regression and Cox proportional hazards models, respectively. RESULTS: A total of 3,726 unique unplanned admissions were identified. The most common symptoms at admission were pain (40.6%), nausea (16.8%), and dyspnea (16.1%). PD (34.0%), infection (31.1%), and cancer pain (13.4%) were the most frequent reasons for admission. The in-hospital mortality rate was 18.9%. Patients with PD had a high in-hospital mortality rate across all tumor groups and higher odds of in-hospital death (odds ratio, 3.5 [95% CI, 3.0 to 4.2]). The 7-, 30-, and 90-day readmission rates were 11.9%, 33.5%, and 54%, respectively. The postdischarge median OS (mOS) was 12.6 months (95% CI, 11.6 to 13.7). Poorer postdischarge survival was observed among patients with PD (mOS, 5 months v 18 months; P < .001; hazard ratio, 2.4 [95% CI, 2.1 to 2.6]). CONCLUSION: PD is a common diagnosis during unplanned hospitalizations and is associated with higher in-hospital mortality rates and poorer OS after discharge. Oncologists should be aware of the prognostic implications of PD during admission and align goals of care with their patients.

BACKGROUND: Neoadjuvant immunotherapy (nIO) has emerged as a treatment option for stage II-III triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). While randomised clinical trials (RCTs) demonstrated pathological complete response rate benefit to nIO added to chemotherapy, additional data on long-term outcomes is warranted. We performed this analysis to evaluate long-term efficacy outcomes of nIO in TNBC. METHODS: We searched databases for RCTs evaluating nIO in early-stage TNBC. A meta-analysis of extracted individual patient data (EIPD) was performed to evaluate EFS and OS, with data from reported Kaplan-Meier plots. Additionally, we conducted a trial-level meta-analysis using fixed and random effects models. RESULTS: The literature search resulted in four included RCTs with available EFS or OS (KEYNOTE-522, IMpassion031, I-SPY2 and GeparNuevo). EIPD showed that the addition of nIO to chemotherapy provides statistically significant benefits in EFS (HR 0.62, 0.50-0.76; p < 0.001) and OS (HR 0.62, 0.46-0.82, p < 0.001). Number needed to treat to avoid one EFS or OS event in 4 years was 9 and 14, respectively. Trial-level meta-analysis yielded similar results (EFS: HR 0.64, 0.51-0.79; OS: 0.57, 0.37-0.89). CONCLUSIONS: Results show that nIO combined with chemotherapy can provide significant EFS and OS benefits, supporting its use as standard treatment for early-stage TNBC.

BACKGROUND: Primary tumor sidedness (PTS) is an independent prognostic factor in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC), with a worse prognosis for right-sided tumors. There are limited data on the prognostic impact of PTS in stage III CRC. The main objective of this study was to analyze the prognostic impact of PTS in stage III CRC. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A retrospective and uni-institutional cohort study was performed in an oncology reference center. Patients with stage III CRC treated with a 5-fluorouracil and oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy regimen (mFLOX regimen) from October 2007 to February 2013 were included. The primary outcome was the probability of overall survival (OS) at 5 years stratified by PTS. Secondary outcomes were the probability of disease-free survival (DFS) at 5 years and an analysis of the prognostic impact of clinical and molecular biomarkers. KaplanâMeier curves were used, and Cox models were used to evaluate prognostic factors associated with OS and DFS. RESULTS: Overall, 265 patients were evaluated. Transverse colon tumors, multicentric tumors, and undetermined primary subsites were excluded, resulting in 234 patients classified according to PTS: 95 with right sidedness (40.6%) and 139 with left sidedness (59.4%). The median follow-up time was 66 months [interquartile range (IQR): 39-81]. The 5-year OS probabilities for right-sided and left-sided tumors were 67% (95% CI: 58%-77%) and 82% (75%-89%), respectively [hazard ratio (HR): 2.02, 95% CI: 1.18-3.46; P = .010]. The 5-year probabilities of DFS for right-sided and left-sided tumors were 58% (49%-69%) and 65% (58%-74%), respectively (HR: 1.29, 0.84-1.97; P = 0.248). CONCLUSION: These data suggest that there may be a worse prognosis (inferior OS at 5 years) for resected right-sided stage III CRC patients treated in the real world. However, these data need to be confirmed by prospective studies with a larger number of participants.

Metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) is a heterogeneous disease that can evoke discordant responses to therapy among different lesions in individual patients. The Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) criteria do not take into consideration response heterogeneity. We explored and developed lesion-based measurement response criteria to evaluate their prognostic effect on overall survival (OS). PATIENTS AND METHODS: Patients enrolled in 17 first-line clinical trials, who had mCRC with ≥ 2 lesions at baseline, and a restaging scan by 12 weeks were included. For each patient, lesions were categorized as a progressing lesion (PL: > 20% increase in the longest diameter (LD)), responding lesion (RL: > 30% decrease in LD), or stable lesion (SL: neither PL nor RL) based on the 12-week scan. Lesion-based response criteria were defined for each patient as follows: PL only, SL only, RL only, and varied responses (mixture of RL, SL, and PL). Lesion-based response criteria and OS were correlated using stratified multivariable Cox models. The concordance between OS and classifications was measured using the C statistic. RESULTS: Among 10,551 patients with mCRC from 17 first-line studies, varied responses were noted in 51.6% of patients, among whom, 3.3% had RL/PL at 12 weeks. Among patients with RL/SL, 52% had stable disease (SD) by RECIST 1.1, and they had a longer OS (median OS (mOS) = 19.9 months) than those with SL only (mOS = 16.8 months, HR (95% CI) = 0.81 (0.76, 0.85), p < 0.001), although a shorter OS than those with RL only (mOS = 25.8 months, HR (95% CI) = 1.42 (1.32, 1.53), p < 0.001). Among patients with SL/PL, 74% had SD by RECIST 1.1, and they had a longer OS (mOS = 9.0 months) than those with PL only (mOS = 8.0 months, HR (95% CI) = 0.75 (0.57, 0.98), p = 0.040), yet a shorter OS than those with SL only (mOS = 16.8 months, HR (95% CI) = 1.98 (1.80, 2.18), p < 0.001). These associations were consistent across treatment regimen subgroups. The lesion-based response criteria showed slightly higher concordance than RECIST 1.1, although it was not statistically significant. CONCLUSION: Varied responses at first restaging are common among patients receiving first-line therapy for mCRC. Our lesion-based measurement criteria allowed for better mortality discrimination, which could potentially be informative for treatment decision-making and influence patient outcomes.

OBJECTIVE: Cancer imposes a profound burden on low- and middle-income countries where 65% of the global cancer deaths occurred in 2020. The objective of the present review was to describe female cancer epidemiology in Brazil, barriers to prevention, screening, and treatment, and to propose strategies to a better control. METHODS: For the process of literature search and scientific acquisition, we have utilized the terms "female cancer" AND "breast cancer," AND "cervical cancer" AND "endometrial cancer" AND "ovarian cancer" AND "Brazil" in PubMed. References of the articles included in this review were manually searched in order to identify relevant studies on the topic. The official Brazilian epidemiology data were extensively analyzed at the governmental site www.inca.gov.br. RESULTS: Considering cases of breast and gynecologic cancers together, 105,770 new cases are expected to be diagnosed yearly, positioning female cancer as the highest cancer incidence in Brazil. Female breast cancer is the most common and the leading cause of death from cancer in the female population in all regions of Brazil, except in the North, where cervical cancer ranks first. Cervical cancer, a preventable disease, corresponds to the third-most common neoplasia in women, with higher incidences in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. An upward trend has been observed in endometrial cancer incidence, a tendency that follows the increase of its two most common risk factors: population aging and obesity. Ovarian cancer currently occupies the eighth position among female cancers in Brazil, but it is the most lethal gynecologic cancer. The main strategies to reduce female cancer mortality rates are the reduction of inequalities in healthcare services and the early diagnosis of cases. The lack of a specific national cancer program results in a reactive and unplanned approach to healthcare provision, ultimately leading to suboptimal resource utilization and higher expenditure. CONCLUSION: Analyzed together, breast and gynecologic cancers correspond to the leading cause of cancer in Brazil. A heterogeneous group, female cancer includes diseases with a high primary and secondary prevention potential. The organization of a female cancer program in Brazil prioritizing primary and secondary prevention strategies, such as adequate mammography screening and human papillomavirus vaccination coverage, could significantly improve female cancer control in the country.

BACKGROUND: Peritoneal carcinomatosis in gastric cancer is considered a fatal disease, without expectation of definitive cure. As systemic chemotherapy is not sufficient to contain the disease, a multimodal approach associating intraperitoneal chemotherapy with surgery may represent an alternative for these cases. AIMS: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of intraperitoneal chemotherapy in stage IV gastric cancer patients with peritoneal metastasis. METHODS: This study is a single institutional single-arm prospective clinical trial phase II (NCT05541146). Patients with the following inclusion criteria undergo implantation of a peritoneal catheter for intraperitoneal chemotherapy: Stage IV gastric adenocarcinoma; age 18-75 years; Peritoneal carcinomatosis with peritoneal cancer index<12; Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group 0/1; good clinical status; and lab exams within normal limits. The study protocol consists of four cycles of intraperitoneal chemotherapy with paclitaxel associated with systemic chemotherapy. After treatment, patients with peritoneal response assessed by staging laparoscopy undergo conversion gastrectomy. RESULTS: The primary outcome is the rate of complete peritoneal response. Progression-free and overall survivals are other outcomes evaluated. The study started in July 2022, and patients will be screened for inclusion until 30 are enrolled. CONCLUSIONS: Therapies for advanced gastric cancer patients have been evaluated in clinical trials but without success in patients with peritoneal metastasis. The treatment proposed in this trial can be promising, with easy catheter implantation and ambulatory intraperitoneal chemotherapy regime. Verifying the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel with systemic chemotherapy is an important progress that this study intends to investigate.

INTRODUCTION: Colorectal cancer is the second most common cancer in both genders and often presents as a metastatic, unresectable, or recurrent disease in early follow-up. It is uncertain the benefit of oxaliplatin-based palliative chemotherapy (CT) in the first line of treatment in patients with compromised performance status (PS), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) 3 and 4. These patients are systematically excluded from clinical trials but may be treated in clinical practice. METHODS: We conducted a prospective observational cohort whose primary outcome was improving at least 2 points in the worst symptom in the Edmonton Symptom Assessment System Scale (ESAS-r), without grade 3 to 4 toxicity, comparing baseline and fourth week of treatment. Secondary endpoints included quality of life using the European Quality of Life-5 dimensions questionnaire, toxicity, response rate, clinical improvement of ECOG PS, and overall survival (OS). RESULTS: We included 28 patients, and 12 (42.8%) achieved the primary endpoint. Median overall survival was 86 days, 46% of patients did not respond to the fourth-week reevaluation due to clinical deterioration, and 17.8% presented toxicity grade ≥3, with 5 patients dying from toxicity. In addition, ECOG PS 4 or cholestasis had poorer overall survival. Finally, 25% and 53.6% of patients received these treatments in the last 14 and 30 days of life, respectively. CONCLUSION: In the present study, palliative multiagent chemotherapy in poor performance status patients with non-molecularly selected colorectal cancer tended to impact tumor symptoms control; however, there is no benefit in OS and a considerable risk of toxicity and treatment-related death.

We evaluated the interference of the mucosal barrier injury (MBI) laboratory-confirmed bloodstream infection (MBI-LCBI) criteria on the central-line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) incidence density, and the proportion of catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSIs) among those classified as MBI. We detected 339 CLABSIs: 15.0% were classified as MBI-LCBIs, and among these, 19.6% were classified as CRBSIs.

BACKGROUND: Dual-targeted anti-HER2 therapy significantly improves outcomes in HER2-positive breast cancer and could be beneficial in other HER2-positive cancers. JACOB's end-of study analyses aimed to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of pertuzumab plus trastuzumab and chemotherapy for previously untreated HER2-positive metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer. METHODS: Eligible patients were randomized 1:1 to pertuzumab/placebo plus trastuzumab and chemotherapy every 3 weeks. PRIMARY ENDPOINT: overall survival (OS). Secondary endpoints included progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), duration of response (DoR), and safety. RESULTS: The intention-to-treat population comprised 388 patients in the pertuzumab arm and 392 in the placebo arm. The safety population comprised 385 and 388 patients, respectively. Median follow-up was ≥ 44.4 months. Median OS was increased by 3.9 months (hazard ratio 0.85 [95% confidence intervals, 0.72-0.99]) and median PFS by 1.3 months (hazard ratio 0.73 [95% confidence intervals, 0.62-0.85]) in the pertuzumab vs. the placebo arm. ORR was numerically higher (57.0% vs. 48.6%) and median DoR 1.8 months longer with pertuzumab treatment. There was a trend for more favorable hazard ratios in certain subgroups related to HER2 amplification/overexpression. Safety was comparable between arms, except for serious and grade 3-5 adverse events, and any-grade diarrhea, which were more frequent with pertuzumab. CONCLUSIONS: JACOB did not meet its primary endpoint. Nonetheless, the study continues to demonstrate some, albeit limited, evidence of treatment activity and an acceptable safety profile for pertuzumab plus trastuzumab and chemotherapy in previously untreated HER2-positive metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer after long-term follow-up. RESUMO RACIONAL: A carcinomatose peritoneal no câncer gástrico é considerada uma doença fatal, sem expectativa de cura definitiva. Como a quimioterapia sistêmica não é suficiente para conter a doença, uma abordagem multimodal associando a quimioterapia intraperitoneal à cirurgia pode representar uma alternativa para esses casos. OBJETIVOS: Investigar o papel da quimioterapia intraperitoneal em pacientes com câncer gástrico estágio IV com metástases peritoneais. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um ensaio clínico prospectivo unicêntrico, braço único, fase II (NCT05541146). Pacientes com os seguintes critérios de inclusão serão submetidos à implantação de cateter peritoneal para quimioterapia intraperitoneal: adenocarcinoma gástrico estágio IV; idade 18-75 anos; carcinomatose peritoneal com índice de câncer peritoneal<12; ECOG 0/1; bom estado clínico e exames laboratoriais dentro da normalidade. O protocolo do estudo consiste em 4 ciclos de quimioterapia intraperitoneal com Paclitaxel associado à quimioterapia sistêmica. Após o tratamento, os pacientes com resposta peritoneal avaliada por laparoscopia serão submetidos à gastrectomia de conversão. RESULTADOS: O desfecho primário é a taxa de resposta peritoneal completa. A sobrevida livre de progressão e global são outros desfechos avaliados. O estudo foi iniciado em julho de 2022 e os pacientes serão selecionados para inclusão até que 30 sejam inscritos. CONCLUSIONS: Terapias para pacientes com câncer gástrico avançado foram avaliadas em ensaios clínicos, mas sem sucesso em pacientes com metástase peritoneal. O tratamento proposto neste estudo pode ser promissor, com fácil implantação do cateter e regime de quimioterapia intraperitoneal ambulatorial. Verificar a eficácia e segurança do Paclitaxel associado à quimioterapia sistêmica é um progresso importante que o presente estudo pretende investigar.

Background: Preclinical studies have suggested that metformin has anti-tumour effects, likely due to blockage of mammalian target of rapamycin pathway through adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase and decreased insulin levels. A retrospective study showed that metformin added to everolimus to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus offered longer progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (NET). Aims: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of metformin monotherapy in patients with advanced/metastatic well-differentiated NET (WD-NET) of gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) or pulmonary origin. Patients and methods: Single-arm phase II trial of metformin 850 mg PO twice daily until progression or intolerance for patients with progressive metastatic well-differentiated GEP or pulmonary NET. The primary endpoint was disease control rate (DCR) by RECIST 1.1 at 6 months. Secondary endpoints were response rate, PFS, toxicity and variations in glycaemic profiles (glycaemia, glycated haemoglobin and peptide C and insulin) at baseline, at 30 and 90 days. Results: From 2014 to 2019, 28 patients were enrolled: median age was 50 years; 84% had non-functional NET, 86% were of GEP origin and 62% had G2 NET. At the time of last follow-up, 26 patients had progression, with 13 (46%) presenting DCR at 6 months and a median PFS of 6.3 months (95% confidence interval: 3.2-9.3). There was no objective response, but one patient with refractory carcinoid syndrome had complete symptom relief, lasting for more than 5 years. Variations in glycaemic profiles were not associated with DCR at 6 months. Diarrhoea was the most common adverse event, being grade 3 or 4 in 10% of the cases. Conclusion: Metformin monotherapy offers modest anti-tumour activity in well-differentiated GEP or lung NET.

BACKGROUND: We evaluated the time to progression (TTP) and survival outcomes of second-line therapy for metastatic colorectal cancer among adults aged 70 years and older compared with younger adults following progression on first-line clinical trials. METHODS: Associations between clinical and disease characteristics, time to initial progression, and rate of receipt of second-line therapy were evaluated. TTP and overall survival (OS) were compared between older and younger adults in first- and second-line trials by Cox regression, adjusting for age, sex, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status, number of metastatic sites and presence of metastasis in the lung, liver, or peritoneum. All statistical tests were 2-sided. RESULTS: Older adults comprised 16.4% of patients on first-line trials (870 total older adults aged >70 years; 4419 total younger adults aged ≤70 years, on first-line trials). Older adults and those with Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status >0 were less likely to receive second-line therapy than younger adults. Odds of receiving second-line therapy decreased by 11% for each additional decade of life in multivariable analysis (odds ratio = 1.11, 95% confidence interval = 1.02 to 1.21, P = .01). Older and younger adults enrolled in second-line trials experienced similar median TTP and median OS (median TTP = 5.1 vs 5.2 months, respectively; median OS = 11.6 vs 12.4 months, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: Older adults were less likely to receive second-line therapy for metastatic colorectal cancer, though we did not observe a statistical difference in survival outcomes vs younger adults following second-line therapy. Further study should examine factors affecting decisions to treat older adults with second-line therapy. Inclusion of geriatric assessment may provide better criteria regarding the risks and benefits of second-line therapy.

BACKGROUND: Clinical complete responders after chemoradiation for rectal cancer are increasingly being managed by a watch-and-wait strategy. Nonetheless, a significant proportion will experience a local regrowth, and the long-term oncological outcomes of these patients is not totally known. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to analyze the outcomes of patients who submitted to a watch-and-wait strategy and developed a local regrowth, and to compare these results with sustained complete clinical responders. DESIGN: This was a retrospective study. SETTING: Single institution, tertiary cancer center involved in alternatives to organ preservation. PATIENTS: Patients with a biopsy-proven rectal adenocarcinoma (stage II/III or low lying cT2N0M0 at risk for an abdominoperineal resection) treated with chemoradiation who were found at restage to have a clinical complete response. INTERVENTIONS: Rectal cancer patients treated with chemoradiation who underwent a watch-and-wait strategy (without a full thickness local excision) and developed a local regrowth were compared to the remaining patients of the watch-and-wait strategy. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Overall survival between groups, incidence of regrowth' and results of salvage surgery. RESULTS: There were 67 patients. Local regrowth occurred in 20 (29.9%) patients treated with a watch-and-wait strategy. Mean follow-up was 62.7 months. Regrowth occurred at mean 14.2 months after chemoradiation, half of them within the first 12 months. Patients presented with comparable initial staging, lateral pelvic lymph-node metastasis, and extramural venous invasion. The regrowth group had a statistically nonsignificant higher incidence of mesorectal fascia involvement (35.0% vs 13.3%, p = 0.089). All regrowths underwent salvage surgery, mostly (75%) a sphincter-sparing procedure. 5-year overall survival was 71.1% in patients with regrowth and 91.1% in patients with a sustained complete clinical response (p = 0.027). LIMITATIONS: This study was limited by its retrospective evaluation of patient selection for a watch-and-wait strategy and outcomes, as well as its small sample size. CONCLUSIONS: Local regrowth is a frequent event when following a watch-and-wait policy (29.9%); however, patients could undergo salvage surgical treatment with adequate pelvic control. In this series, overall survival showed a statistically significant difference from patients managed with a watch-and-wait strategy who experienced a local regrowth compared to those who did not. Background: Although Chemoradiation (CRT) is the curative treatment for SCCAC, many patients present primary resistance. Since it is a rare tumor, response predictors remain unknown. Methods: We performed a prospective cohort study to evaluate biomarkers associated with CRT response, progression-free survival (PFS), and overall survival (OS). The primary endpoint was response at 6 months (m). Tumor DNA and HPV were analyzed by next-generation sequencing, while KI-67 and PD-L1 by immunohistochemistry in tumor tissue. Results: Seventy-eight patients were recruited between October/2011 and December/2015, and 75 were response evaluable. The median age was 57 years, 65% (n=49) were stage III and 12% (n=9) were HIV positive (HIV+). At 6m, 62.7% (n=47) presented CR. On multivariate analyses, stage II patients were 4.7 more likely to achieve response than stage III (OR, 4.70; 95%CI, 1.36-16.30; p=0.015). HIV+ was associated with a worse response (OR, 5.72; 95%CI, 2.5-13.0; p<0.001). 5-year PFS and OS rates were 63.3% and 76.4%, respectively, with a median follow up of 66m. On multivariate analyses, older age (HR 1.06, p=0.022, 95%IC 1.01-1.11) and absence of CR at 6m (HR 3.36, p=0.007, 95%IC 1.39-8.09) were associated with inferior OS. The 5-year OS rate was 62.5% in HIV+ group compared to 78% among HIV- pts, although this difference was not statistically significant (p=0.4). PIK3CA, MET and TP53 mutations, HPV, Ki-67 expression, and PD-L1 expression, were not associated with PFS and OS. Conclusions: Clinical stage III and HIV+ were associated with worse response to CRT at 6m. The absence of CR was the main factor associated with poor 5-year OS.
