RESUMO

Waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) are an attractive secondary resource that is challenging to dispose of due to its complexity. Reverse flotation is an effective method to remove non-metallic particles (NMPs) to obtain metals from WPCBs. Nevertheless, the removal of NMPs is usually inadequate in the present flotation practice. Thus, to provide a clean approach to improve the removal efficiency of NMPs, the method of adding gutter oil during dry grinding process was adopted to enhance the hydrophobic sites on the surface of NMPs to improve the floatability. The surface morphology of NMPs was analyzed by SEM, the results show that the rough morphology inhibited the adhesion of bubbles, while water occupied the cracks and pores, making it challenging for collector adsorption, which result in unstable particle-bubble adhesion. The results of FTIR indicate that both NMPs and gutter oil have -CH3, -CH2, -C = O, -C-O functional groups, which promotes the adsorption of gutter oil on the surface of NMPs. The contact angle (CA) results show that the adsorption of gutter oil on the particle surface is conducive to the formation of enhanced CA. Furthermore, the flotation enhancement effect was verified by flotation kinetic experiments. The accumulated floats yield of NMPs conditioned by gutter oil during grinding is increased from 67.05% (NMPs without conditioning) to 95.02%, and the resin recovery is increased by 31.10%. It is demonstrated that dry grinding with gutter oil can strengthen the floatability of NMPs, which provides a potential approach to increase the flotation efficiency of WPCBs.

RESUMO

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Clematidis Radix et Rhizoma, a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, is derived from Clematis chinensis Osbeck, Clematis hexapetala Pall. and Clematis manshurica Rupr. This herb shows great effects on expelling wind and dispelling dampness in ancient and it has anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity in modern clinical application. AIM OF THE STUDY: This experiment aimed to research anti-rheumatoid arthritis effect of crude and wine processed RC based on glycolysis metabolism to provide new ideas treating RA. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Network pharmacology was applied to preliminarily forecast the potential pathways of common targets of RC and RA. RAW264.7 macrophages were induced by LPS, NO production, glucose uptake, lactate production, ROS and MMP were detected as instructions in vitro. ELISA was used to measure the content of HK2, PKM2 and LDHA involving in glycolysis process. Gut microbiota was analyzed by 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing in CIA rats. RESULTS: Crude and wine processed RC had good anti-inflammatory effect by reducing NO in RAW264.7 macrophages and ameliorating inflammatory infiltration and cartilage surface erosion in CIA rats. Whether in LPS-induced macrophages or CIA rats, crude and wine processed RC could inhibit glycolysis by down-regulating the expression of PKM2, causing less glucose uptake and lactic acid, which lead to less ROS and higher MMP to normal. PI3K-AKT and HIF-1α pathways were deduced to possibly play a crucial part in controlling glycolysis metabolism by network pharmacology analysis. Besides, it was displayed that Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes were prominent gut microbiota in CIA rats feces. CC-H and PZ-H groups could both increase the relative abundance of Firmicutes and decrease Bacteroidetes. These microbiota also played a role in RA pathological process via involving in energy metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism and immune system. CONCLUSION: Crude and wine processed RC have a good influence in ameliorating rheumatoid arthritis by inhibiting glycolysis and modulating gut microbiota together.

RESUMO

Six new cycloartane triterpenoid saponins, thalisides A-F (1-6), along with four known ones (7-10), were isolated from Thalictrum fortunei. The new structures were elucidated by using spectroscopic data (NMR, IR, UV, and MS). Compounds 1-10 were examined for their in vitro cytotoxicity against two human cancer cell lines (HepG2, A549) and antiviral activity against influenza A virus (H1N1) and found to be inactive.

RESUMO

Phytochemical investigation of the ethanol extract from the twigs and leaves of Croton tiglium led to the isolation of two new phorbol esters (1-2) and seven known ones (3-9). Their structures were elucidated by the analyses of extensive spectroscopic data (IR, MS, and 1D and 2D NMR) and comparing with related compounds. Meanwhile, compounds 1-9 were determined for their cytotoxic activities on human lung cancer cell line A549. Among them, 1-2 were inactive against the cell line A549 (IC50 > 100 µM), but compounds 3 and 7 showed weak activities.

RESUMO

Three novel sesquiterpenoid-based meroterpenoids, drychampones A-C (1-3, respectively), were isolated from Dryopteris championii. Compounds 1 and 3 possessed a novel carbon skeleton which was constructed by an 11/6/6 ring system coupled with a pyronone moiety, and 1-3 were three racemates. Their structures and absolute configurations were elucidated by NMR, MS, and computational methods. The hypothetical biosynthetic pathways of these meroterpenoids and their antibacterial activities were also discussed.
