RESUMO

Deposition of high entropy alloy FeCoNiMnCu on SS-304 was carried out by microwave energy for application in "solid oxide fuel-cell (SOFC) interconnects". The ball-milling has been performed by taking "Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, and Cu" in equal 20 wt. % of before deposited on SS-304 substrate. The deposited steel with 20% Fe 20% Co 20% Ni 20% Mn 20% Cu high entropy alloy (HEA) was exposed to thermal-exposure in the air for up to 10 weeks at 800 °C. The uniform cladding distribution of 20% Fe 20% Co 20% Ni 20% Mn 20% Cu HEA particles can be apparently observed on SS-304 substrate by utilizing Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and Optical microscopy analysis. Homogeneity in the interfacial layer was evident by employing Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) characterization. Results have indicated that after the thermal exposure of deposited steel with 20% Fe 20% Co 20% Ni 20% Mn 20% Cu in the air for up to ten weeks at 800 °C, a "protective Cr2O3 layer", and "high-entropy spinel coating" of (Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Cu)3O4 have been formed. During microwave cladding, the emergence of harder-phases has contributed to the raised hardness. The wear behavior after coating of 20% Fe 20% Co 20% Ni 20% Mn 20% Cu HEA on SS-304 substrate has significantly enhanced due to the strengthened wear resistance and hardness of the coatings. Findings have exhibited that the formation of (Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Cu)3O4 phase is a potential coating material for "SOFC interconnects" applications. Moreover, the cladding of SS304 with a composition of 20% Fe, 20% Co, 20% Ni, 20% Mn, and 20% Cu has demonstrated remarkable stability under thermal expansion studies. As the findings have revealed that the composite cladding has efficiently withstand significant variations in volume when subjected to elevated temperatures for a prolonged period of time, thus, exhibiting its superior thermal stability for SOFC-interconnect applications. Furthermore, the SEM images of the cladding surface, surface hardness, and tribocorrosion behavior of the coated material have been observed to identify the 20% Fe 20% Co 20% Ni 20% Mn 20% Cu HEA coating effect on SS-304 steel-substrate.

RESUMO

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in India is steadily deteriorating, leading to a rise in the mortality rate due to Lung Cancer. This decline in air quality can be attributed to various factors such as PM 2.5, PM 10, and Ozone (O3). To establish a relationship between AQI and Lung Cancer, several predictive models including Linear Regression, KNN, Decision Tree, ANN, Random Forest Regression, and XGBoost Regression were employed to estimate pollutant levels and Air Quality Index in India. The models relied on publicly available state-wise Air Pollution Dataset. Among all the models, the XGBoost Regression displayed the highest accuracy, with pollutant level estimations reaching an accuracy range of 81% to 98% during training and testing. The second-highest accuracy range was achieved by Random Forest. The paper also explores the impact of increasing pollution levels on the rising mortality rate among lung cancer patients in India.

RESUMO

In this study we analyzed the flow, heat and mass transfer behavior of Casson nanofluid past an exponentially stretching surface under the impact of activation energy, Hall current, thermal radiation, heat source/sink, Brownian motion and thermophoresis. Transverse magnetic field with the assumption of small Reynolds number is implemented vertically. The governing partial nonlinear differential equations of the flow, heat and mass transfer are transformed into ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformation and solved numerically by using Matlab bvp4c package. The impact of each of the Hall current parameter, thermal radiation parameter, heat source/sink parameter, Brownian motion parameter, Prandtl number, thermophoresis parameter and magnetic parameter on velocity, concentration and temperature, is discussed through graphs. The skin friction coefficient along the x-and z-directions, the local Nusselt number and the Sherwood number are calculated numerically to look into the inside behavior of the emerging parameters. It is witnessed that the flow velocity is a diminishing function of the thermal radiation parameter and the behavior has observed in the case of Hall parameter. Moreover, mounting values of Brownian motion parameter reduce the nanoparticle concentration profile.

RESUMO

The multi-phase flow of non-Newtonian through a divergent channel is studied in this article. Jeffrey fluid is considered as the base liquid and tiny gold particles for the two-phase suspension. Application of external electric field parallel to complicated capillary with net surface charge density causes the bulk motion of the bi-phase fluid. In addition to, electro-osmotic flow with heat transfer, the simultaneous effects of viscous dissipation and nonlinear thermal radiation have also been incorporated. Finally, cumbersome mathematical manipulation yields a closed-form solution to the nonlinear differential equations. Parametric study reveals that more thermal energy is contributed in response to Brinkman number which significantly assists gold particles to more heat attain high temperature, as the remedy for compressed or swollen capillaries/arteries.

RESUMO

Present article reads three dimensional flow analysis of incompressible viscous hybrid nanofluid in a rotating frame. Ethylene glycol is used as a base liquid while nanoparticles are of copper and silver. Fluid is bounded between two parallel surfaces in which the lower surface stretches linearly. Fluid is conducting hence uniform magnetic field is applied. Effects of non-linear thermal radiation, Joule heating and viscous dissipation are entertained. Interesting quantities namely surface drag force and Nusselt number are discussed. Rate of entropy generation is examined. Bvp4c numerical scheme is used for the solution of transformed O.D.Es. Results regarding various flow parameters are obtained via bvp4c technique in MATLAB Software version 2019, and displayed through different plots. Our obtained results presents that velocity field decreases with respect to higher values of magnetic parameter, Reynolds number and rotation parameter. It is also observed that the temperature field boots subject to radiation parameter. Results are compared with Ishak et al. (Nonlinear Anal R World Appl 10:2909-2913, 2009) and found very good agreement with them. This agreement shows that the results are 99.99% match with each other.

RESUMO

This paper presents the analysis of transfer of heat and mass characteristics in boundary layer flow of incompressible magnetohydrodynamic Maxwell nanofluid with thermal radiation effects confined by exponentially shrinking geometry. The effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis are incorporated using Buongiorno model. The partial differential equations of the governing model are converted in non-dimensional track which are numerically inspected with proper appliances of Runge-Kutta fourth order scheme. The significant effects of heat and mass fluxes on the temperature and nanoparticles volume fractions are investigated. By the increases in Lewis number between [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text], the decrease in nanoparticle volume fraction and temperature is noted. With the change in the Prandtl constant that varies between [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text], the nanoparticles volume fraction and temperature are dwindled. Nanoparticles volume fraction and temperature distribution increase is noted with applications of radiation constant. With consequent variation of thermophoresis parameter between [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text], nanoparticles volume fraction and temperature distribution increases. It is also noted that the increase in thermophoresis parameter and Brownian parameter from [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text], nanoparticles volume fraction decreases while temperature distribution increases.

RESUMO

In this published paper, a mathematical modeling has been conducted for the peristaltic transport in flow of hybrid nanofluid between rotating channel in the presence of nonlinear thermal radiation, slip effects and entropy generation. This corrigendum correct the flow geometry, figures captions and plots "Transport of hybrid type nanomaterials in peristaltic activity of viscous fluid considering nonlinear radiation, entropy optimization and slip effects" [Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine 184 (2020) 105,086] where these mistake are occurred during production process and therefore, some captions are shuffled. The difference in the captions and plots however does not affect the authenticity and mathematical validity of the problem in purpose of this published research article is to investigate the peristaltic transport in flow of hybrid nanofluid between rotating channel subject to nonlinear thermal radiation, slip effects and entropy generation. However, the flow geometry and the captions and plots should be arranged.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The numerical investigation of nanoparticles embedded water based hybrid nanoliquid flow over porous longitudinal fin moving with constant velocity is carried out together with thermal radiation and natural convection condition. Darcy's model is implemented for the flow behaviour. The two types of boundary conditions are considered at the tip i.e., insulated tip fin and fin with known convective condition. METHOD: The modelled ordinary differential equation is non-dimensionalized and tackled mathematically by applying RKF (Runge Kutta Fehlberg) technique. RESULTS: The parametric evaluation is carried out through graphs and interpreted physically. From obtained outcomes, it is noticed that, fin with known convective coefficient at the tip shows greater heat transfer rate than fin with insulated tip.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Here we have conducted a magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of viscous material with alumina water and ethylene glycol over a stretched surface. The flow is discussed with and without effective Prandtl number. MHD liquid is considered. Electric field is absent. Effect of uniform magnetic field is taken in the vertical direction to the surface. Influence of thermal radiation as well as Joule heating are taken into account for both aluminum oxide-water and aluminum oxide-Ethylene glycol nanofluids. Velocity slip and melting heat effects are considered. METHODS: The nonlinear flow expressions are numerically solved via ND-solve technique (built-in-Shooting). RESULTS: The physical impacts of flow variables like mixed convection parameter, magnetic parameter, Reynold number, Eckert number, melting parameter and heat source/sink parameter are graphically discussed. Moreover, entropy generation (irreversibility) and Bejan number are discussed graphically through various flow variables. Physical quantities like skin friction coefficient and Sherwood and Nusselt numbers are numerically calculated and discussed through Tables. CONCLUSIONS: Impact of magnetic and slip parameters on the velocity field show decreasing behavior for both effective and without effective Prandtl number. Temperature field increases for both effective and without effective Prandtl number for higher values of magnetic and radiative parameters. Entropy number is an increasing function of Reynolds number while Bejan number shows opposite impact against Reynolds number. Moreover, heat transfer rate upsurges versus larger melting and radiative parameter.
