RESUMO

CEDNIK (Cerebral Dysgenesis, Neuropathy, Ichthyosis, and Keratoderma) syndrome is a neuro ichthyotic syndrome characterized by a clinical constellation of features including severe developmental delay, microcephaly, and facial dysmorphism. Here, we report the clinical and molecular characterization of a patient with CEDNIK syndrome harboring two compound heterozygous variants in the SNAP29 gene. The patient presents a combination of a loss-of-function SNAP29 mutation and a ∼370 kb 22q11.2 deletion, each of these genetic variants inherited from one of the parents. This report provides detailed data of a patient with unprecedented genetic events leading to the CEDNIK phenotype and may contribute to the elucidation of this rare condition.

Oculo-auriculo-vertebral spectrum (OAVS) is a developmental disorder characterized by anomalies mainly involving the structures derived from the first and second pharyngeal arches. The spectrum presents with heterogeneous clinical features and complex etiology with genetic factors not yet completely understood. To date, MYT1 is the most important gene unambiguously associated with the spectrum and with functional data confirmation. In this work, we aimed to identify new single nucleotide variants (SNVs) affecting MYT1 in a cohort of 73 Brazilian patients diagnosed with OAVS. In addition, we investigated copy number variations (CNVs) encompassing this gene or its cis-regulatory elements and compared the frequency of these events in patients versus a cohort of 455 Brazilian control individuals. A new SNV, predicted as likely deleterious, was identified in five unrelated patients with OAVS. All five patients presented hearing impairment and orbital asymmetry suggesting an association with the variant. CNVs near MYT1, located in its neighboring topologically associating domain (TAD), were found to be enriched in patients when compared to controls, indicating a possible involvement of this region with OAVS pathogenicity. Our findings highlight the genetic complexity of the spectrum that seems to involve more than one variant type and inheritance patterns.

Human mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue have become increasingly attractive as they show appropriate features and are an accessible source for regenerative clinical applications. Different protocols have been used to obtain adipose-derived stem cells. This article describes different steps of an improved time-saving protocol to obtain a more significant amount of ADSC, showing how to cryopreserve and thaw ADSC to obtain viable cells for culture expansion. One hundred milliliters of lipoaspirate were collected, using a 26 cm three-hole and 3 mm caliber syringe liposuction, from the abdominal area of nine patients who subsequently underwent elective abdominoplasty. The stem cells isolation was carried out with a series of washes with Dulbecco's Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS) solution supplemented with calcium and the use of collagenase. Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) cells were cryopreserved, and their viability was checked by immunophenotyping. The SVF cellular yield was 15.7 x 105 cells/mL, ranging between 6.1-26.2 cells/mL. Adherent SVF cells reached confluence after an average of 7.5 (±4.5) days, with an average cellular yield of 12.3 (± 5.7) x 105 cells/mL. The viability of thawed SVF after 8 months, 1 year, and 2 years ranged between 23.06%-72.34% with an average of 47.7% (±24.64) with the lowest viability correlating with cases of two-year freezing. The use of DPBS solution supplemented with calcium and bag resting times for fat precipitation with a shorter time of collagenase digestion resulted in an increased stem cell final cellular yield. The detailed procedure for obtaining high yields of viable stem cells was more efficient regarding time and cellular yield than the techniques from previous studies. Even after a long period of cryopreservation, viable ADSC cells were found in the SVF.

RESUMO

22q11.2 deletion syndrome (22q11.2DS) has a heterogeneous presentation that includes multiple congenital anomalies and immunodeficiency, one of the most striking features. Usually, it is characterized by T cell lymphopenia, B cell dysfunction and autoimmunity. Here, we describe an unusual case of 22q11.2DS in a patient with lymphoproliferative disorder, polyautoimmunity and hypogammaglobulinemia.

The 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome (22q11.2DS), the most common human chromosome microdeletion syndrome, is associated with a very heterogeneous neurocognitive phenotype. One of the main characteristics of the syndrome spectrum is the intellectual variability, which encompasses average performance and intellectual disability and discrepancies between Verbal Intelligence Quotient and Performance Verbal Intelligence Quotient, with greater impairment in nonverbal tasks. The present study aimed at investigating the intellectual performance aspects of a 21children and adolescents sample from Brazil who had been diagnosed with 22q11.2DS, based on the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - 4th edition. The samples were reviewed considering the differences between indices. The results revealed an Full Scale Intelligence Quotient predominant in the borderline range (42 to 104) and a significant discrepancy between the indices of Verbal Comprehension and Perceptual Reasoning in 42% of the sample. With regard to the performance in the subtests alone, a better performance was found in Similarities, whereas block design, matrix reasoning, digit span and letter-number sequencing subtests were the most challenging. These findings indicate that a comprehensive assessment of intellectual performance aspects covering the different measures of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale may contribute to a broader understanding of the neurocognitive phenotype associated with 22q11.2DS.


A Síndrome da Deleção 22q11.2 (SD22q11.2), microdeleção cromossômica mais frequente em humanos, é associada a um fenótipo neurocognitivo muito heterogêneo. Uma das principais características do espectro da síndrome é a variabilidade intelectual, que abrange de desempenho médio a deficiência intelectual, bem como discrepâncias entre Quociente de Inteligência Verbal e de Quociente de Inteligência de Execução, com maior prejuízo nas tarefas não verbais. O presente estudo teve por objetivo investigar aspectos do desempenho intelectual de uma amostra brasileira de 21 crianças e adolescentes diagnosticados com SD22q11.2, com base nos indicadores da Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - 4th edition. As amostras foram analisadas considerando diferenças entre os índices. Os resultados revelaram predomínio de Quociente de Inteligência Total na faixa limítrofe, entre 42 e 104, assim como discrepância significativa entre os índices de compreensão verbal e organização perceptual em 42% da amostra. No que concerne ao desempenho nos subtestes de forma isolada, um melhor resultado foi verificado em semelhanças, ao passo que cubos, raciocínio matricial, dígitos e sequência de números e letras foram os mais desafiadores. Esses achados indicam que uma avaliação abrangente de aspectos do desempenho intelectual contemplando as diversas medidas da Escala Wechsler de Inteligência pode contribuir para uma compreensão mais ampla do fenótipo neurocognitivo associado à SD22q11.2.

We report five individuals with loss-of-function of the X-linked AMMECR1: a girl with a balanced X-autosome translocation and inactivation of the normal X-chromosome; two boys with maternally inherited and de novo nonsense variants; and two half-brothers with maternally inherited microdeletion variants. They present with short stature, cardiac and skeletal abnormalities, and hearing loss. Variants of unknown significance in AMMECR1 in four male patients from two families with partially overlapping phenotypes were previously reported. AMMECR1 is coexpressed with genes implicated in cell cycle regulation, five of which were previously associated with growth and bone alterations. Our knockdown of the zebrafish orthologous gene resulted in phenotypes reminiscent of patients' features. The increased transcript and encoded protein levels of AMMECR1L, an AMMECR1 paralog, in the t(X;9) patient's cells indicate a possible partial compensatory mechanism. AMMECR1 and AMMECR1L proteins dimerize and localize to the nucleus as suggested by their nucleic acid-binding RAGNYA folds. Our results suggest that AMMECR1 is potentially involved in cell cycle control and linked to a new syndrome with growth, bone, heart, and kidney alterations with or without elliptocytosis.

OBJECTIVE: The human genome contains several types of variations, such as copy number variations, that can generate specific clinical abnormalities. Different techniques are used to detect these changes, and obtaining an unequivocal diagnosis is important to understand the physiopathology of the diseases. The objective of this study was to assess the diagnostic capacity of multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification and array techniques for etiologic diagnosis of syndromic patients. METHODS: We analyzed 93 patients with developmental delay and multiple congenital abnormalities using multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplifications and arrays. RESULTS: Multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification using different kits revealed several changes in approximately 33.3% of patients. The use of arrays with different platforms showed an approximately 53.75% detection rate for at least one pathogenic change and a 46.25% detection rate for patients with benign changes. A concomitant assessment of the two techniques showed an approximately 97.8% rate of concordance, although the results were not the same in all cases. In contrast with the array results, the MLPA technique detected ∼70.6% of pathogenic changes. CONCLUSION: The obtained results corroborated data reported in the literature, but the overall detection rate was higher than the rates previously reported, due in part to the criteria used to select patients. Although arrays are the most efficient tool for diagnosis, they are not always suitable as a first-line diagnostic approach because of their high cost for large-scale use in developing countries. Thus, clinical and laboratory interactions with skilled technicians are required to target patients for the most effective and beneficial molecular diagnosis.

AIM: To identify common copy number alterations on gastric cancer cell lines. METHODS: Four gastric cancer cell lines (ACP02, ACP03, AGP01 and PG100) underwent chromosomal comparative genome hybridization and array comparative genome hybridization. We also confirmed the results by fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis using the bacterial artificial chromosome clone and quantitative real time PCR analysis. RESULTS: The amplification of 9p13.3 was detected in all cell lines by both methodologies. An increase in the copy number of 9p13.3 was also confirmed by fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis. Moreover, the interleukin 11 receptor alpha (IL11RA) and maternal embryonic leucine zipper kinase (MELK) genes, which are present in the 9p13.3 amplicon, revealed gains of the MELK gene in all the cell lines studied. Additionally, a gain in the copy number of IL11RA and MELK was observed in 19.1% (13/68) and 55.9% (38/68) of primary gastric adenocarcinoma samples, respectively. CONCLUSION: The characterization of a small gain region at 9p13.3 in gastric cancer cell lines and primary gastric adenocarcinoma samples has revealed MELK as a candidate target gene that is possibly related to the development of gastric cancer.

In females carrying structural rearrangements of an X-chromosome, cells with the best dosage balance are preferentially selected, frequently resulting in a skewed inactivation pattern and amelioration of the phenotype. The Xp11.23-p11.22 region is involved in a recently described microduplication syndrome associated with severe clinical consequences in males and females, causing intellectual disability, behavior problems, epilepsy with electroencephalogram anomalies, minor facial anomalies, and early onset of puberty. Female carriers usually present an unusual X-chromosome inactivation pattern in favor of the aberrant chromosome, resulting in functional disomy of the duplicated segment. Here, we describe a girl carrying a de novo ∼9.7 Mb Xp11.3-p11.22 duplication of paternal origin and skewed X-chromosome inactivation pattern of the normal X-chromosome. We reviewed other cases previously reported and determined the minimal critical region possibly responsible for this unusual inactivation pattern. The critical region encompasses 36 RefSeq genes, including at least 10 oncogenes and/or genes related to the cell cycle control. We discuss the molecular mechanisms that underlie the positive selection of the cells with the active duplicated chromosome. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Human adult stem cells (hASCs) offer a potentially renewable source of cell types that are easily isolated and rapidly expanded for use in regenerative medicine and cell therapies without the complicating ethical problems that are associated with embryonic stem cells. However, the eventual therapeutic use of hASCs requires that these cells and their derivatives maintain their genomic stability. There is currently a lack of systematic studies that are aimed at characterising aberrant chromosomal changes in cultured ASCs over time. However, the presence of mosaicism and accumulation of karyotypic abnormalities within cultured cell subpopulations have been reported. To investigate cytogenetic integrity of cultured human dental stem cell (hDSC) lines, we analysed four expanded hDSC cultures using classical G banding and fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH) with X chromosome specific probe. Our preliminary results revealed that about 70% of the cells exhibited karyotypic abnormalities including polyploidy, aneuploidy and ring chromosomes. The heterogeneous spectrum of abnormalities indicates a high frequency of chromosomal mutations that continuously arise upon extended culture. These findings emphasise the need for the careful analysis of the cytogenetic stability of cultured hDSCs before they can be used in clinical therapies.

Improved outcome of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) depends on the better differentiation of subtypes to predict treatment response and the identification of new target for treatment. In this study, array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) was used to distinguish eight cases of AML cases. Validation was performed by FISH and quantitative genomic PCR. The aCGH revealed new large and small recurrent genomic imbalances, such as gains of 1p36, 10q26, 11p15, 20q13, 22q23, harboring many proto-oncogenes. These results better define genetically the studied cases and could be used to understand the multiple phenomena involved in leukemogenesis.

Supernumerary marker chromosomes (sSMC) may or may not be associated with an abnormal phenotype, depending on the presence of euchromatin, on their chromosomal origin and whether they are inherited. Over 80% of sSMCs are derived from acrocentric chromosomes and half of them include the short arm of chromosome 15. Generally, they appear as bisatellited isodicentric marker chromosomes, most of them are symmetric. These chromosomes are normally originated de novo and are associated with mild to severe intellectual disability but not with physical abnormalities. We report on a patient with an SMC studied using classical and molecular cytogenetic procedures (G and C banding, NOR staining, painting and centromeric fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), BAC-FISH, and SKY). The MLPA technique and DNA polymorphic markers were used in order to identify its parental origin. The marker chromosome, monosatellited and monocentric, was found to be derived from a maternal chromosome 15 and was defined as 15pter-q21.2. This is the report of the largest de novo monosatellited 15q marker chromosome ever published presenting detailed cytogenetic and clinical data. It was associated with a phenotype including cardiac defect, absence of septum pellucidum, and dysplasia of the corpus callosum.

Patients with fragile X syndrome present a variable phenotype, which contributes to the underdiagnosing of this condition. The use of clinical checklists in individuals with intellectual disability can help in selecting patients to be given priority in the molecular investigation of the fragile X mutation in the FMR1 gene. Some features included in checklists are better predictors than others, but they can vary among different populations and with patient age. In the present study, we evaluated 20 features listed in four clinical checklists from the literature, using a sample of 192 Brazilian male patients presenting with intellectual disability (30 positive and 162 negative for fragile X mutation). After statistical analysis, 12 out of the 20 items analyzed showed significant differences in their distributions between the two groups. These features were grouped in a new checklist that can help clinicians in their referral for fragile X testing in patients with developmental delay.

Relatamos um caso de paciente com Síndrome do Olho de Gato (Cat Eye Syndrome-CES) e interrupção do arco aórtico tipo B, um achado típico na síndrome da deleção 22q11.2. A análise cromossômica e a técnica de hibridização fluorescente in situ (FISH) mostraram um cromossomo marcador isodicêntrico supranumerário com bi-satélite derivado do cromossomo 22. O segmento de 22pter a 22q11.2 no cromossomo supranumerário encontrado em nosso paciente não estava em sobreposição com a região deletada em pacientes com a síndrome da deleção 22q11.2. Entretanto, o achado de interrupção do arco aórtico tipo B não é usual na CES, mas é um defeito cardíaco freqüente na síndrome da deleção 22q11.


We report a patient with cat eye syndrome and interrupted aortic arch type B, a typical finding in the 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. Chromosomal analysis and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) showed a supernumerary bisatellited isodicentric marker chromosome derived from chromosome 22. The segment from 22pter to 22q11.2 in the supernumerary chromosome found in our patient does not overlap with the region deleted in patients with the 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. However, the finding of an interrupted aortic arch type B is unusual in CES, although it is a frequent heart defect in the 22q11 deletion syndrome.


Informamos un caso de paciente con Síndrome de Ojo de Gato (Cat Eye Syndrome-CES) e Interrupción del Arco Aórtico tipo B, un hallazgo típico en el síndrome de la deleción 22q11.2. El análisis cromosómico y la técnica de hibridación in situ fluorescente (FISH) mostraron un cromosoma marcador isodicéntrico supernumerario bisatelitado derivado del cromosoma 22. El segmento de 22pter a 22q11.2 en el cromosoma supernumerario encontrado en nuestro paciente no estaba en sobreposición con la región deletada en pacientes con el síndrome de la deleción 22q11.2. Con todo, el hallazgo de interrupción del arco aórtico tipo B no es usual en el CES, sino que es un defecto cardíaco frecuente en el síndrome de deleción 22q11.

Introdução: A presença de sequências repetidas de DNA já foi identificada como marcadoras de certas doenças neuropsiquiátricas. O gene FMR1 possui sequência rica em repetições CGG, sujeito a expansão quando transmitido por via materna. Alelos pré-mutados (55200 repetições CGG). Na mutação completa, o gene é inativado determinando a síndrome do X frágil (FRAX). Os portadores da pré-mutação não apresentam deficiência cognitiva associada à FRAX, porém, um subgrupo desses indivíduos com mais de 50 anos de idade desenvolve uma síndrome neurológica progressiva, a síndrome de tremor/ataxia associada ao X frágil (Fragile X-associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome–FXTAS). Objetivos: Este estudo investigou as características clínicas e moleculares dos familiares de quatro homens com mais de 50 anos de idade, familiares de indivíduos FRAX, uma vez que esses indivíduos possuem risco elevado de desenvolver o quadro de FXTAS. Resultados: Nenhum dos pacientes avaliados possuía FXTAS. Conclusão: A síndrome FXTAS foi recentemente descrita e é pouco conhecida no meio clínico e científico. Dessa forma, a avaliação de familiares de indivíduos FRAX pode contribuir para o melhor entendimento da doença e permitir a determinação de sua incidência na população brasileira.


Introduction: The presence of repeated sequences was already identified as markers of neuropsychiatric diseases. The FMR1 gene shelters a CGGrich sequence which is vulnerable to expansion when transmitted through maternal lineage. Premutated alleles (55 200 CGG repeats). In the full mutation range, the gene is inactivated causing the fragile X syndrome (FRAX). Premutation carriers do not present mental retardation, however a subgroup of permutation carriers older than 50 years can develop a progressive neurological syndrome, the Fragile X-associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS). Objectives: This approach had investigated clinical and molecular features offour males - relatives of FRAX individuals – due to the high risk of developing FXTAS. Results: None of the investigated patients had FXTAS. Conclusion: This syndrome was recently described and there is little knowledge about it by clinicians and scientists. Thus, evaluation of people in this condition can contribute to the better understanding of the disease and its incidence in the Brazilian population.

FUNDAMENTO: A síndrome da deleção 22q11.2 é a mais freqüente síndrome de microdeleção humana. O fenótipo é altamente variável e caracterizado por defeito cardíaco conotruncal, dismorfias faciais, insuficiência velofaríngea, dificuldade de aprendizagem e retardo mental. OBJETIVO: O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar a freqüência da deleção 22q11.2 em uma amostra brasileira de indivíduos portadores de cardiopatia conontrucal isolada e do fenótipo da síndrome da deleção 22q11.2. MÉTODOS: Vinte e nove pacientes foram estudados por meio de citogenética clássica, por hibridação in situ fluorescente (FISH) e por técnicas moleculares. RESULTADOS: A análise citogenética por meio de bandamento G revelou cariótipo normal em todos os pacientes, com exceção de um que apresentou cariótipo 47,XX,+idic(22)(q11.2). Com o uso de técnicas moleculares, a deleção foi observada em 25 por cento dos pacientes, todos portadores do fenótipo da síndrome da deleção 22q11.2. Em nenhum dos casos, a deleção foi herdada dos pais. A freqüência da deleção 22q11.2 foi maior no grupo de pacientes portadores do espectro clínico da síndrome da deleção 22q11.2 do que no grupo de pacientes com cardiopatia conotruncal isolada. CONCLUSÃO: A investigação da presença da deleção e sua correlação com os dados clínicos dos pacientes podem auxiliar os pacientes e suas famílias a terem um melhor aconselhamento genético e um seguimento clínico mais adequado.


BACKGROUND: The 22q11.2 deletion syndrome is the most frequent human microdeletion syndrome. The phenotype is highly variable, being characterized by conotruncal heart defect, facial dysmorphisms, velopharyngeal insufficiency, learning difficulties and mental retardation. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to investigate the frequency of deletion 22q11.2 in a Brazilian sample of individuals with isolated conotruncal heart defect and 22q11.2 deletion syndrome phenotype. METHODS: Twenty-nine patients were studied by classical cytogenetics, by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and by molecular techniques. RESULTS: Cytogenetic analysis by G-banding revealed a normal karyotype in all patients except one who presented a 47,XX,+idic(22)(q11.2) karyotype. Using molecular techniques, a deletion was observed in 25 percent of the patients, all exhibiting a 22q11.2 deletion syndrome phenotype. In none of the cases the deletion was inherited from the parents. The frequency of 22q11.2 deletion was higher in patients with the clinical spectrum of the 22q11.2 deletion syndrome than in patients with isolated conotruncal heart defect. CONCLUSION: Investigating the presence of the deletion and its correlation with the patients' clinical data can help the patients and their families to have a better genetic counseling and more adequate clinical follow-up.


FUNDAMENTO: El síndrome de la deleción 22q11.2 es el más frecuente síndrome de microdeleción humana. El fenotipo, altamente variable, se caracteriza por defecto cardiaco conotruncal, dismorfias faciales, insuficiencia velofaríngea, dificultad de aprendizaje y retardo mental. OBJETIVO: El objetivo de este trabajo fue investigar la frecuencia tanto de la deleción 22q11.2 en una muestra brasileña de individuos portadores de cardiopatía conotrucal aislada, como del fenotipo del síndrome de la delación 22q11.2. MÉTODOS: Se estudiaron a 29 pacientes por medio de citogenética clásica, por hibridación in situ fluorescente (FISH) y también por técnicas moleculares. RESULTADOS: El análisis citogenético por medio de bandeo G reveló cariotipo normal en todos los pacientes, con excepción de uno, que presentó cariotipo 47,XX,+idic(22)(q11.2). Con la utilización de técnicas moleculares, se observó la deleción en el 25 por ciento de los pacientes, todos portadores del fenotipo del síndrome de la deleción 22q11.2. En ningún de los casos, la deleción se heredó de los padres. La frecuencia de la deleción 22q11.2 en el grupo de pacientes portadores del espectro clínico de este síndrome resultó mayor que en el grupo de pacientes con cardiopatía conotruncal aislada. CONCLUSIÓN: La investigación de la presencia de deleción y su correlación con los datos clínicos de los pacientes pueden auxiliar los pacientes y sus familias a tener un mejor aconsejamiento genético, así como un seguimiento clínico más adecuado.

Fragile X syndrome is the most frequent cause of inherited mental retardation. The phenotype in this syndrome is quite variable and less conspicuous in younger patients, making clinical diagnosis difficult and thus making molecular diagnosis necessary. The use of clinical checklists in mentally retarded individuals can help selecting patients to be given priority in the molecular investigation for the fragile-X mutation in the FMR1 gene. We evaluated two clinical checklists in a sample of 200 Brazilian male patients with mental retardation. The highest scores in the two checklists concentrated among the 19 males (9.5 percent) found to carry full mutations. Our results confirm the importance of fragile-X checklists as a clinical tool in the study of mentally retarded patients.

UNLABELLED: The presence of Y chromosome fragments in patients with Turner's syndrome (TS) is known to increase the risk of gonadoblastoma. The investigation of Y sequences is usually performed only in the presence of marker chromosomes and therefore does not rule out the presence of hidden mosaicism in patients with 45,X TS without any marker. AIMS: 1. To investigate the presence of hidden Y mosaicism in non-mosaic 45,X patients with TS, using samples from different tissues, and its association with the development of gonadoblastoma. STUDY DESIGN: Twenty patients with a 45,X karyotype were studied. The SRY and DYZ3 sequences were amplified by PCR, using genomic DNA from peripheral blood, oral epithelial cells and hair roots. Prophylactic gonadectomy was offered to the Y-positive patients. RESULTS: The analysis of the different tissues revealed that seven (35%) out of the 20 patients studied presented hidden chromosome Y mosaicism. Four of these patients underwent prophylactic gonadectomy, and bilateral gonadoblastoma was found in one of them. CONCLUSIONS: A systematic search for hidden Y chromosome mosaicism in patients with TS and 45,X karyotype is justified by the possibility of developing gonadoblastoma.

RESUMO

A etiologia da insuficiência ovariana prematura (POF) ainda é desconhecida na maioria dos pacientes. Uma vez que alguns casos estäo associados a anormalidades do cromossomo X, estudamos citogeneticamente pacientes portadores de POF. Comparamos as culturas de linfócitos de onze pacientes com as de indivíduos controle de mesmas idades. Todos os indivíduos estudados apresentaram cariótipos normais. As freqüências de células aneuplóides e com aberraçöes cromossômicas estruturais näo diferiram entre os grupos. Verificamos uma maior freqüência de aneuploidia e de divisäo prematura do centrômero do cromossomo X nos dois grupos.
