RESUMO

Soft tissue regeneration holds significant promise for addressing various clinical challenges, ranging from craniofacial and oral tissue defects to blood vessels, muscle, and fibrous tissue regeneration. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have emerged as a promising tool in regenerative medicine due to their unique characteristics and potential to differentiate into multiple cell lineages. This comprehensive review explores the role of MSCs in different aspects of soft tissue regeneration, including their application in craniofacial and oral soft tissue regeneration, nerve regeneration, blood vessel regeneration, muscle regeneration, and fibrous tissue regeneration. By examining the latest research findings and clinical advancements, this article aims to provide insights into the current state of MSC-based therapies in soft tissue regenerative medicine.

RESUMO

In this review, we summarize the most used natural products as useful adjuvants in BC by clarifying how these products may play a critical role in the prevention, treatment and progression of this disease. BC is the leading cancer, in terms of incidence, that affects women. The epidemiology and pathophysiology of BC were widely reported. Inflammation and cancer are known to influence each other in several tumors. In the case of BC, the inflammatory component precedes the development of the neoplasm through a slowly increasing and prolonged inflammation that also favors its growth. BC therapy involves a multidisciplinary approach comprising surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. There are numerous observations that showed that the effects of some natural substances, which, in integration with the classic protocols, can be used not only for prevention or integration in order to prevent recurrences and induce a state of chemoquiescence but also as chemo- and radiosensitizers during classic therapy.

The aim of this clinical study was to demonstrate that through a micrograft of viable adipose tissue cells microfiltered at 50 microns to exclude fibrous shoots and cell debris in a suspension of cross-linked hyaluronic acid, we were able to improve visible imperfections of the dermis and to improve clinically observable wrinkles, with a beneficial effect also in the extracellular matrix (ECM). Background and Objectives: With the passage of time, the aging process begins, resulting in a progressive impairment of tissue homeostasis. The main reason for the formation of wrinkles is the involution of the papillary dermis, as well as the loss of stem cell niches with compromise of the extra-cytoplasmic matrix (ECM), and the loss of hyaluronic acid, which helps to maintain the shape and resistance and that is contained in the connective tissue. Materials and Methods: This study involved 14 female patients who underwent dermal wrinkle correction and bio-regeneration over the entire facial area through a suspension containing 1.0 mL of viable micrografts from adipose tissue in a 1.0 mL cross-linked hyaluronic acid. To verify the improvement of the anatomical area concerned over time, the various degrees of correction obtained for wrinkles, and in general for texture, were objectively evaluated by using a Numeric Rating scale (NRS) 10-0, a modified Vancouver scale and a Berardesca scale. Results: The Berardesca, NRS and Modified Vancouver scales showed that with this technique it was possible to obtain excellent results both when the suspension was injected into wrinkles with the linear retrograde technique, and when it was injected with the micropomphs technique to correct furrows, with the intent to revitalize the tissue through progenitors with adult stemness markers. Conclusions: The combination of microfragmented and microfiltered adipose tissue and cross-linked hyaluronic acid at 50 microns is safe new method to treat soft tissue defects such as deep wrinkles.

BACKGROUND: Pathological scars occur following injuries and are often considered esthetically unattractive. Several strategies have been attempted to improve these types of scars using both surgical and nonsurgical methods. The most common treatments include cryotherapy, intralesional corticosteroid injections, 5-fluorouracil, bleomycin, interferon, and verapamil. AIMS: In this study, we aim to investigate the effectiveness of dermal autologous micrografts in the treatment of pathological scars resulting from burns, trauma, or any iatrogenic source. METHODS: We used a new clinical practice called Rigenera Protocol to obtain autologous micrografts which were in turn injectable in the patients. RESULTS: A significant improvement was observed in appearance and texture of the exaggerated scars in all cases following already 4 months of autologous micrograft treatment We have also shown that these micrografts are composed of mesenchymal stem cells and in addition, histological evaluation verified restoration of the structural layers immediately below the epidermis and a horizontal realignment of collagen fibers in the papillary dermis. CONCLUSION: Our results clearly demonstrate the optimal outcomes obtained following treatment with dermal micrografts on exaggerated scars with different etiologies. However, further studies are required to confirm the efficacy of this new technique.

BACKGROUND: The reduction of mortality worldwide has led older individuals to seek intervention modalities to improve their appearance and reverse signs of aging. OBJECTIVE: We formulated a medical device as innovative block-polymer nanoparticles based on phosphatidylcholine, hyaluronan, and chitin nanofibrils entrapping amino acids, vitamins, and melatonin. METHODS: Viability and collagen synthesis were controlled on fibroblasts ex vivo culture while adenosine triphosphate production was evaluated on keratinocytes culture. Subjective and objective evaluations were performed in vivo on selected volunteer patients. RESULTS: In accordance with our previous studies, both the in vitro and in vivo obtained results demonstrate the efficacy of the injected block-polymer nanoparticles in reducing skin wrinkling and ameliorating the signs of aging.
