RESUMO

Authors made a follow-up study of 1000 portio conisations. They analysed the early and late postoperative complications with special regard to the further obstetrical outcome. They valued the previous cytologic and colposcopic examinations on the basis of histologic diagnosis. It has been found that complications were neither frequent nor serious and had no unfavourable influence on further pregnancies. They found a higher ratio both of false positive and negative cytologic and colposcopic results then it is given by the literature. Authors come to the conclusion, that even in cases of anatomical portio alterations it's necessary the detailed histologic examinations, that for the portio conisation is a preferable method.

RESUMO

Reserpine treatment produced a marked decrease of the in vitro binding of estradiol to the nuclear fraction of the uterus. A similar observation was made when reserpine was given into the incubation medium of uterine tissue. In contrast to these findings both in vitro and in vivo reserpine administration resulted in an increase of the estradiol binding to the nuclear fraction of the anterior pituitary in ovariectomized rats. The binding capacity of cytosol fraction after reserpine administration did not show significant alterations. In addition to these observations it is worth to mention that reserpine treatment resulted in a significant decrease of the estradiol-induced increase of uterus weight in ovariectomized rats.

PIP: The effects of reserpine on the incorporation of estradiol by the pituitary and uterus were studied in ovariectomized rats. Reserpine treatment resulted in a significant decrease in the estradiol-induced increase of uterine weights (p less than .001). When reserpine was added to the incubation medium of uterine tissue, estradiol uptake was significantly suppressed (p less than .001). Cytosol binding of estradiol was not markedly changed after in vitro or in vivo administration of reserpine. On the other hand, estradiol-binding to the nuclear fraction of the anterior pituitary was increased by reserpine administration in both in vivo and in vitro experiments. Further studies are required to elucidate the mechanism of action of reserpine and the differences in the nuclear uptake of estradiol at the pituitary and uterine levels.
