RESUMO

Glioblastoma (GBM) has a fatal prognosis because of its aggressive and invasive characteristics. Understanding the mechanism of invasion necessitates an elucidation of the relationship between tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment. However, there has been a scarcity of suitable models to investigate this. In this study, we established a glioblastoma-cerebral organoid assembloid (GCOA) model by co-culturing patient-derived GBM tumoroids and human cerebral organoids. Tumor cells from the tumoroids infiltrated the cerebral organoids, mimicking the invasive nature of the parental tumors. Using time-lapse imaging, various invasion patterns of cancer cells within cerebral organoids resembling a normal tissue milieu were monitored. Both single- and collective-cell invasion was captured in real-time. We also confirmed the formation of an intercellular tumor network and tumor-normal-cell interactions. Furthermore, the transcriptomic characterization of GCOAs revealed distinct features of invasive tumor cells. Overall, this study established the GCOA as a three-dimensional (3D) in vitro assembloid model to investigate invasion mechanisms and interactions between tumor cells and their microenvironment.

Nuclear protein in testis (NUT) carcinoma is a rare but highly aggressive tumor characterized by translocation of the NUTM1 gene. To date, only about 20 NUT carcinomas arising from the thyroid have been reported in the literature, with the majority showing immunohistochemical markers indicative of squamous differentiation. We present a 29-year-old man with NUT carcinoma arising from thyroid follicular cells. Notably, the tumor cells expressed markers characteristic of thyroid follicular cells such as thyroglobulin, TTF1 and PAX8, without obvious histological and immunohistochemical features of squamous differentiation. Molecular analysis revealed a concurrent TERT promoter mutation (C228T) together with the NSD3::NUTM1 fusion, a combination not previously documented in NUT carcinoma. The tumor highlights the need to include NUT carcinoma in the differential diagnosis of thyroid cancer, especially when it presents with unconventional histopathological features, even in the absence of signs of squamous differentiation.

Purpose: Considering the high disease burden and unique features of Asian patients with breast cancer (BC), it is essential to have a comprehensive view of genetic characteristics in this population. An institutional targeted sequencing platform was developed through the Korea Research-Driven Hospitals project and was incorporated into clinical practice. This study explores the use of targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) and its outcomes in patients with advanced/metastatic BC in the real world. Materials and Methods: We reviewed the results of NGS tests administered to BC patients using a customized sequencing platform - FiRST Cancer Panel (FCP) - over seven years. We systematically described clinical translation of FCP for precise diagnostics, personalized therapeutic strategies, and unraveling disease pathogenesis. Results: NGS tests were conducted on 548 samples from 522 patients with BC. 97.6% of tested samples harbored at least one pathogenic alteration. The common alterations included mutations in TP53(56.2%), PIK3CA(31.2%), GATA3(13.8%), BRCA2(10.2%), and amplifications of CCND1(10.8%), FGF19(10.0%), and ERBB2(9.5%). NGS analysis of ERBB2 amplification correlated well with HER2 immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. RNA panel analyses found potentially actionable and prognostic fusion genes. FCP effectively screened for potentially germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic mutation. 10.3% of BC patients received matched therapy guided by NGS, resulting in a significant overall survival advantage (p=0.022), especially for metastatic BCs. . Conclusion: Clinical NGS provided multifaceted benefits, deepening our understanding of the disease, improving diagnostic precision, and paving the way for targeted therapies. The concrete advantages of FCP highlight the importance of multi-gene testing for BC, especially for metastatic conditions.

Background Neurotrophic tropomyosin receptor kinase (NTRK) gene fusions are found in 1% of gliomas across children and adults. TRK inhibitors are promising therapeutic agents for NTRK-fused gliomas because they are tissue agnostic and cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Methods We investigated twelve NGS-verified NTRK-fused gliomas from a single institute, Seoul National University Hospital. Results The patient cohort included six children (aged 1-15 years) and six adults (aged 27-72 years). NTRK2 fusions were found in ten cerebral diffuse low-grade and high-grade gliomas (DLGGs and DHGGs, respectively), and NTRK1 fusions were found in one cerebral desmoplastic infantile ganglioglioma and one spinal DHGG. In this series, the fusion partners of NTRK2 were HOOK3, KIF5A, GKAP1, LHFPL3, SLMAP, ZBTB43, SPECC1L, FKBP15, KANK1, and BCR, while the NTRK1 fusion partners were TPR and TPM3. DLGGs tended to harbour only an NTRK fusion, while DHGGs exhibited further genetic alterations, such as TERT promoter/TP53/PTEN mutation, CDKN2A/2B homozygous deletion, PDGFRA/KIT/MDM4/AKT3 amplification, or multiple chromosomal copy number aberrations. Four patients received adjuvant TRK inhibitor therapy (larotrectinib, repotrectinib, or entrectinib), among which three also received chemotherapy (n = 2) or proton therapy (n = 1). The treatment outcomes for patients receiving TRK inhibitors varied: one child who received larotrectinib for residual DLGG maintained stable disease. In contrast, another child with DHGG in the spinal cord experienced multiple instances of tumour recurrence. Despite treatment with larotrectinib, ultimately, the child died as a result of tumour progression. An adult patient with glioblastoma (GBM) treated with entrectinib also experienced tumour progression and eventually died. However, there was a successful outcome for a paediatric patient with DHGG who, after a second gross total tumour removal followed by repotrectinib treatment, showed no evidence of disease. This patient had previously experienced relapse after the initial surgery and underwent autologous peripheral blood stem cell therapy with carboplatin/thiotepa and proton therapy. Conclusions Our study clarifies the distinct differences in the pathology and TRK inhibitor response between LGG and HGG with NTRK fusions.

An aggressive subtype of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, epithelioid inflammatory myofibroblastic sarcoma occurs primarily inside the abdominal cavity, followed by a pulmonary localization. Most harbor anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene rearrangements, with RANBP2 and RRBP1 among the well-documented fusion partners. We report the second case of primary epithelioid inflammatory myofibroblastic sarcoma of the brain, with a well-known EML4::ALK fusion. The case is notable for its intra-axial presentation that clinico-radiologically mimicked glioma.

BACKGRUOUND: The diagnostic accuracy of preoperative radiologic findings in predicting the tumor characteristics and clinical outcomes of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) was evaluated across all risk groups. METHODS: In total, 939 PTMC patients, comprising both low-risk and non-low-risk groups, who underwent surgery were enrolled. The preoperative tumor size and lymph node metastasis (LNM) were evaluated by ultrasonography within 6 months before surgery and compared with the postoperative pathologic findings. Discrepancies between the preoperative and postoperative tumor sizes were analyzed, and clinical outcomes were assessed. RESULTS: The agreement rate between radiological and pathological tumor size was approximately 60%. Significant discrepancies were noted, including an increase in tumor size in 24.3% of cases. Notably, in 10.8% of patients, the postoperative tumor size exceeded 1 cm, despite being initially classified as 0.5 to 1.0 cm based on preoperative imaging. A postoperative tumor size >1 cm was associated with aggressive pathologic factors such as multiplicity, microscopic extrathyroidal extension, and LNM, as well as a higher risk of distant metastasis. In 30.1% of patients, LNM was diagnosed after surgery despite not being suspected before the procedure. This group was characterized by smaller metastatic foci and lower risks of distant metastasis or recurrence than patients with LNM detected both before and after surgery. CONCLUSION: Among all risk groups of PTMCs, a subset showed an increase in tumor size, reaching 1 cm after surgery. These cases require special consideration due to their association with adverse clinical outcomes, including an elevated risk of distant metastasis.

We explored the genomic events underlying central neurocytoma (CN), a rare neoplasm of the central nervous system, via multiomics approaches, including whole-exome sequencing, bulk and single-nuclei RNA sequencing, and methylation sequencing. We identified FGFR3 hypomethylation leading to FGFR3 overexpression as a major event in the ontogeny of CN that affects crucial downstream events, such as aberrant PI3K-AKT activity and neuronal development pathways. Furthermore, we found similarities between CN and radial glial cells based on analyses of gene markers and CN tumor cells and postulate that CN tumorigenesis is due to dysregulation of radial glial cell differentiation into neurons. Our data demonstrate the potential role of FGFR3 as one of the leading drivers of tumorigenesis in CN.

Autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) is a type of immunoreactive encephalitic disorder and is recognized as the most prevalent noninfectious encephalitis. Nevertheless, the rarity of definitive AIE diagnosis through biopsy or autopsy represents a significant hurdle to understanding and managing the disease. In this article, we present the pathological findings of AIE and review the literature based on a distinct case of AIE presenting as CD8+ T-lymphocyte predominant encephalitis. We describe the clinical progression, diagnostic imaging, laboratory data, and autopsy findings of an 80-year-old deceased male patient. The patient was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis 6 months before death and received appropriate medications. A week before admission to the hospital, the patient manifested symptoms such as a tendency to sleep, decreased appetite, and confusion. Although the patient temporally improved with medication including correction of hyponatremia, the patient progressed rapidly and died in 6 weeks. The brain tissue revealed lymphocytic infiltration in the gray and white matter, leptomeninges, and perivascular infiltration with a predominance of CD8+ T lymphocytes, suggesting a case of AIE. There was no detectable evidence of viral infection or underlying neoplasm. The autopsy revealed that this patient also had Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, arteriolosclerosis, and aging-related tau astrogliopathy. This report emphasizes the pivotal role of pathological examination in the diagnosis of AIE, especially when serological autoantibody testing is not available or when a patient is suspected of having multiple diseases.

In this multi-center, assessor-blinded pilot study, the diagnostic efficacy of cCeLL-Ex vivo, a second-generation confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE), was compared against the gold standard frozen section analysis for intraoperative brain tumor diagnosis. The study was conducted across three tertiary medical institutions in the Republic of Korea. Biopsy samples from newly diagnosed brain tumor patients were categorized based on location and divided for permanent section analysis, frozen section analysis, and cCeLL-Ex vivo imaging. Of the 74 samples from 55 patients, the majority were from the tumor core (74.3%). cCeLL-Ex vivo exhibited a relatively higher diagnostic accuracy (89.2%) than frozen section analysis (86.5%), with both methods showing a sensitivity of 92.2%. cCeLL-Ex vivo also demonstrated higher specificity (70% vs. 50%), positive predictive value (PPV) (95.2% vs. 92.2%), and negative predictive value (NPV) (58.3% vs. 50%). Furthermore, the time from sample preparation to diagnosis was notably shorter with cCeLL-Ex vivo (13 min 17 s) compared to frozen section analysis (28 min 28 s) (p-value < 0.005). These findings underscore cCeLL-Ex vivo's potential as a supplementary tool for intraoperative brain tumor diagnosis, with future studies anticipated to further validate its clinical utility.

Local recurrences in patients with grade 4 adult-type diffuse gliomas mostly occur within residual non-enhancing T2 hyperintensity areas after surgical resection. Unfortunately, it is challenging to distinguish non-enhancing tumors from edema in the non-enhancing T2 hyperintensity areas using conventional MRI alone. Quantitative DCE MRI parameters such as Ktrans and Ve convey permeability information of glioblastomas that cannot be provided by conventional MRI. We used the publicly available nnU-Net to train a deep learning model that incorporated both conventional and DCE MRI to detect the subtle difference in vessel leakiness due to neoangiogenesis between the non-recurrence area and the local recurrence area, which contains a higher proportion of high-grade glioma cells. We found that the addition of Ve doubled the sensitivity while nonsignificantly decreasing the specificity for prediction of local recurrence in glioblastomas, which implies that the combined model may result in fewer missed cases of local recurrence. The deep learning model predictive of local recurrence may enable risk-adapted radiotherapy planning in patients with grade 4 adult-type diffuse gliomas.

INTRODUCTION: Ovarian teratoma is a common occurrence in patients with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis (NMDARe), and its removal is crucial for a favorable prognosis. However, the initial pathogenesis of autoimmunity in the encephalitic teratoma remains unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigate the genomic landscape and microscopic findings by comparing NMDARe-associated teratomas and non-encephalitic control teratomas. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A prospective consecutive cohort of 84 patients with NMDARe was recruited from January 2014 to April 2020, and among them, patients who received teratoma removal surgery at Seoul National University Hospital were enrolled. We conducted a comparison of whole-exome sequencing data and pathologic findings between NMDARe-associated teratomas and control teratomas. RESULTS: We found 18 NMDARe-associated teratomas from 15 patients and compared them with 17 non-encephalitic control teratomas. Interestingly, the genomic analysis revealed no significant differences in mutations between encephalitic and non-encephalitic teratomas. Pathologic analysis showed no discrepancies in terms of the presence of neuronal tissue and lymphocytic infiltration between the encephalitic teratomas (n = 14) and non-encephalitic teratomas (n = 18). However, rituximab-naïve encephalitic teratomas exhibited a higher frequency of germinal center formation compared to non-encephalitic teratomas (80% vs. 16.7%, P = 0.017). Additionally, rituximab-treated encephalitic teratomas demonstrated a reduced number of CD20+ cells and germinal centers in comparison to rituximab-naïve encephalitic teratomas (P = 0.048 and 0.023, respectively). DISCUSSION: These results suggest that the initiation of immunopathogenesis in NMDARe-associated teratoma is not primarily attributed to intrinsic tumor mutations, but rather to immune factors present in the encephalitic patient group, ultimately leading to germinal center formation within the teratoma.

Introduction: Securing a well-established mouse model is important in identifying and validating new therapeutic targets for immuno-oncology. The C57BL/6 mouse is one of the most fully characterised immune system of any animal and provides powerful platform for immuno-oncology discovery. An orthotopic tumor model has been established using TBP3743 (murine anaplastic thyroid cancer [ATC]) cells in B6129SF1 hybrid mice, this model has limited data on tumor immunology than C57BL/6 inbred mice. This study aimed to establish a novel orthotopic ATC model in C57BL/6 mice and characterize the tumor microenvironment focusing immunity in the model. Methods: Adapted TBP3743 cells were generated via in vivo serial passaging in C57BL/6 mice. Subsequently, the following orthotopic tumor models were established via intrathyroidal injection: B6129SF1 mice injected with original TBP3743 cells (original/129), B6129SF1 mice injected with adapted cells (adapted/129), and C57BL/6 mice injected with adapted cells (adapted/B6). Results: The adapted TBP3743 cells de-differentiated but exhibited cell morphology, viability, and migration/invasion potential comparable with those of original cells in vitro. The adapted/129 contained a higher Ki-67+ cell fraction than the original/129. RNA sequencing data of orthotopic tumors revealed enhanced oncogenic properties in the adapted/129 compared with those in the original/129. In contrast, the orthotopic tumors grown in the adapted/B6 were smaller, with a lower Ki-67+ cell fraction than those in the adapted/129. However, the oncogenic properties of the tumors within the adapted/B6 and adapted/129 were similar. Immune-related pathways were enriched in the adapted/B6 compared with those in the adapted/129. Flow cytometric analysis of the orthotopic tumors revealed higher cytotoxic CD8+ T cell and monocytic-myeloid-derived suppressor cell fractions in the adapted/B6 compared with the adapted/129. The estimated CD8+ and CD4+ cell fractions in the adapted/B6 were similar to those in human ATCs but negligible in the original/B6. Conclusion: A novel orthotopic tumor model of ATC was established in C57BL/6 mice. Compared with the original B6129SF1 murine model, the novel model exhibited more aggressive tumor cell behaviours and strong immune responses. We expect that this novel model contributes to the understanding tumor microenvironment and provides the platform for drug development.

Adult-type diffuse glioma (grade 4) has infiltrating nature, and therefore local progression is likely to occur within surrounding non-enhancing T2 hyperintense areas even after gross total resection of contrast-enhancing lesions. Cerebral blood volume (CBV) obtained from dynamic susceptibility contrast perfusion-weighted imaging (DSC-PWI) is a parameter that is well-known to be a surrogate marker of both histologic and angiographic vascularity in tumors. We built two nnU-Net deep learning models for prediction of early local progression in adult-type diffuse glioma (grade 4), one using conventional MRI alone and one using multiparametric MRI, including conventional MRI and DSC-PWI. Local progression areas were annotated in a non-enhancing T2 hyperintense lesion on preoperative T2 FLAIR images, using the follow-up contrast-enhanced (CE) T1-weighted (T1W) images as the reference standard. The sensitivity was doubled with the addition of nCBV (80% vs. 40%, P = 0.02) while the specificity was decreased nonsignificantly (29% vs. 48%, P = 0.39), suggesting that fewer cases of early local progression would be missed with the addition of nCBV. While the diagnostic performance of CBV model is still poor and needs improving, the multiparametric deep learning model, which presumably learned from the subtle difference in vascularity between early local progression and non-progression voxels within perilesional T2 hyperintensity, may facilitate risk-adapted radiotherapy planning in adult-type diffuse glioma (grade 4) patients.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Neural stem cells (NSCs) in the subventricular zone (SVZ) are recognized as the cellular origin of glioblastoma (GBM) and a potential therapeutic target. However, the characteristics of SVZ contacting GBM (SVZ + GBM) and radiotherapeutic strategies for NSCs are still controversial. Here, we investigated the clinicogenetic features of SVZ + GBM and evaluated the dose effect of NSC irradiation depending on SVZ involvement. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We identified 125 patients with GBM treated with surgery followed by chemoradiotherapy. The genomic profiles were obtained by next-generation sequencing targeting 82 genes. NSCs in the SVZ and hippocampus were contoured using standardized methods, and dosimetric factors were analyzed. SVZ + GBM was defined as GBM with SVZ involvement in a T1 contrast-enhanced image. Progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were used as endpoints. RESULTS: The number of patients with SVZ + GBM was 95 (76%). SVZ + GBM showed lower PFS than GBM without SVZ involvement (SVZ-GBM) (median 8.6 vs. 11.5 months, p = 0.034). SVZ contact was not associated with any specific genetic profile but was an independent prognostic factor in multivariate analysis. In SVZ + GBM, patients receiving high doses to the ipsilateral NSC region showed significantly better OS (HR = 1.89, p = 0.011) and PFS (HR = 1.77, p = 0.013). However, in SVZ-GBM, high doses to the ipsilateral NSC region were associated with worse OS (HR = 0.27, p = 0.013) and PFS (HR = 0.37, p = 0.035) in both univariate and multivariate analyses. CONCLUSION: SVZ involvement in GBM was not associated with distinct genetic features. However, irradiation of NSCs was associated with better prognosis in patients with tumors contacting the SVZ.

This study aimed to find any ambiguous genetic outlier for "oligodendroglioma, IDH-mutant and 1p/19q-codeleted (O_IDH_mut)" and "astrocytoma, IDH-mutant (A_IDH_mut)" and to redefine the genetic landscape and prognostic factors of IDH-mutant gliomas. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) using a brain tumor-targeted gene panel, methylation profiles, and clinicopathological features were analyzed for O_IDH_mut (n = 74) in 70 patients and for A_IDH_mut (n = 95) in 90 patients. 97.3% of O_IDH_mut and 98.9% of A_IDH_mut displayed a classic genomic landscape. Combined CIC (75.7%) and/or FUBP1 (45.9%) mutations were detected in 93.2% and MGMTp methylation in 95.9% of O_IDH_mut patients. In A_IDH_mut, TP53 mutations were found in 86.3% and combined ATRX (82.1%) and TERTp (6.3%) mutations in 88.4%. Although there were 3 confusing cases, NOS (not otherwise specified) category, based on genetic profiles, but they were clearly classified by combining histopathology and DKFZ methylation classifier algorithms. The patients with MYCN amplification and/or CDKN2A/2B homozygous deletion in the A_IDH_mut category had a worse prognosis than those without these gene alterations and MYCN-amplified A_IDH_mut showed the worst prognosis. However, there was no prognostic genetic marker in O_IDH_mut. In histopathologically or genetically ambiguous cases, methylation profiles can be used as an objective tool to avoid a diagnosis of NOS or NEC (not elsewhere classified), as well as for tumor classification. The authors have not encountered a case of true mixed oligoastrocytoma using an integrated diagnosis of histopathological, genetic and methylation profiles. MYCN amplification, in addition to CDKN2A/2B homozygous deletion, should be included in the genetic criteria for CNS WHO grade 4 A_IDH_mut.

PURPOSE: Pilocytic astrocytoma is a slow-growing tumor that predominantly develops in children, but has a broad age spectrum. A notable characteristic of pilocytic astrocytoma is that the tumor arises in diverse locations and the clinical course is not always benign. Therefore, it is necessary to elucidate the clinical spectrum of the disease and analyze the relevant prognostic factors. METHODS: Demographic and treatment-related factors were retrospectively reviewed in a cohort of 254 patients with histologically confirmed pilocytic astrocytoma. Clinical features were compared between the pediatric group (N = 208; age < 18 years) and the adult group (N = 46; age ≥ 18 years). Cox regression analysis was performed to identify relevant prognostic factors. RESULTS: There was no difference in progression-free survival (PFS) between the pediatric and adult groups (p = 0.36); however, patients under 8 years of age exhibited worse PFS (p < 0.01). Leptomeningeal seeding at diagnosis and pilomyxoid histology was observed only in pediatric patients. In the pediatric group, nine patients experienced recurrence after complete resection. Increasing age (hazard ratio (HR) = 0.89, p < 0.01) and adjuvant therapy (HR = 0.32, p < 0.01) were protective factors against tumor progression. In the adult group, no progression occurred after complete resection. Age and adjuvant therapy were not significant factors in the adult group. CONCLUSION: Pilocytic astrocytoma presents with a diverse clinical spectrum. Complete resection is of utmost importance, and appropriate adjuvant treatment is recommended if complete resection cannot be achieved. Children with younger age are associated with more aggressive tumors, and recurrence may occur even after complete resection.

PURPOSE: Molecular subgrouping of medulloblastoma has become important due to its impact on risk group stratification. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) has been widely used but it has innate limitations. The NanoString assay has been proposed as an alternative method. This study aims to present the characteristics of medulloblastoma subgrouped by the NanoString assay and to compare the subgrouping results with the IHC method. METHODS: Pediatric patients with histological diagnosis of medulloblastoma who underwent surgery from 2007 to 2021 were included. Clinical characteristics, pathological findings were reviewed. Molecular subgrouping was performed by IHC and by NanoString nCounter Elements TagSets assay. Test for concordance between two methods was made. RESULTS: Among a total of 101 patients analyzed, subgrouping using the NanoString assay resulted in 14 (13.8%) WNT, 20 (19.8%) SHH, 18 (17.8%) Group 3, and 39 (38.6%) Group 4 subgroup cases. Survival analysis revealed the following from best to worse prognosis: WNT, Group 4, SHH, and Group 3. In SHH subgroup the large cell/anaplastic histology was present in 30% of cases. Seventy-one cases were analyzed for concordance between NanoString and IHC. Cohen's kappa value indicated moderate agreement but identification of Groups 3 and 4 with IHC using NPR3 and KCNA1 markers exhibited poor results. CONCLUSIONS: The NanoString assay of Korean medulloblastoma patients revealed a more aggressive clinical course in the SHH subgroup which may be explained by a higher proportion of large cell/anaplastic histology being present in this subgroup. IHC did not distinguish Group 3 or 4 accurately. The NanoString assay may represent a good alternative method for practical use in the clinical field.

According to the new 2021 World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumors of the central nervous system (CNS) the classification of the primary intramedullary spinal cord tumors (IM-SCT) follows that of CNS tumors. However, since the genetics and methylation profile of ependymal tumors depend on the location of the tumor, the 'spinal (SP)' should be added for the ependymoma (EPN) and subependymoma (SubEPN). For an evidence-based review, the authors reviewed SCTs in the archives of the Seoul National University Hospital over the past decade. The frequent pathologies of primary IM-SCT were SP-EPN (45.1%), hemangioblastoma (20.0%), astrocytic tumors (17.4%, including pilocytic astrocytoma [4.6%] and diffuse midline glioma, H3 K27-altered [4.0%]), myxopapillary EPN (11.0%), and SP-subEPN (3.0%) in decreasing order. IDH-mutant astrocytomas, oligodendrogliomas, glioneuronal tumors, embryonal tumors, and germ cell tumors can occur but are extremely rare in the spinal cord. Genetic studies should support for the primary IM-SCT classification. In the 2021 WHO classifications, extramedullary SCT did not change significantly but contained several new genetically defined types of mesenchymal tumors. This article focused on primary IM-SCT for tumor frequency, age, sex difference, pathological features, and genetic abnormalities, based on a single-institute experience.
