Bagasse cellulose, an industrial waste byproduct of sugar production, was demonstrated to be a viable solid support for a solid-phase ionic oxidation catalyst enabling organic solvent-free aqueous reaction conditions and facile catalyst recovery. Bagasse cellulose-supported quaternary ammonium peroxyphosphotungstate was synthesized from bagasse cellulose-supported quaternary ammonium chloride, phosphotungstic acid, and hydrogen peroxide. The chemical structure of this material was characterized by SEM, XRD, FT-IR, XPS, and 13C NMR, revealing stability of the cellulose matrix to the catalyst loading conditions and effective dispersion of the acicular catalyst crystals throughout the matrix. High catalytic activity of this synthetic complex was demonstrated in the oxidation of cyclohexene to 1,2-cyclohexanediol with hydrogen peroxide in the absence of solvent. Optimized conditions providing trans-1,2-cyclohexanediol with 86.2 % selectivity were 12 wt% catalyst and 4 mL/g 30 % H2O2 (vs. cyclohexene) at 50 °C for 10 h.

Background: For the lack of effective serum markers for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) diagnosis, it is difficult to detect liver cancer and identify its recurrence early. Methods: Databases were used to analyze the genes potentially associated with alpha-fetoprotein(AFP). ELISA assay was used to detect the serum IL-41 in HCC, liver metastases, hepatitis, and healthy people. Immunohistochemical staining was used to analyze the relative quantification of IL-41 in HCC and paracancer tissues. Various survival curves were plotted according to clinical pathological data and helped us draw the ROC curve of IL-41 diagnosis of HCC. Results: The serum expression of IL-41 was highest in AFP negative HCC patients and significantly higher than that in AFP positive HCC and metastatic cancer patients. There was a significant negative correlation between elevated serum IL-41 and AFP(<1500ng/ml). The clinicopathological features suggested that the serum IL-41 level was significantly correlated with capsule invasion, low differentiation and AFP. High serum expression of IL-41 suggests poorer survival and earlier recurrence after resection, and IL-41 upregulated in patients with early recurrence and death. The expression of IL-41 was higher in HCC tissues of patients with multiple tumors or microvascular invasion. The ROC curve showed that serum IL-41 had a sensitivity of 90.17 for HCC and a sensitivity of 96.63 for AFP-negative HCC, while the specificity was higher than 61%. Conclusion: IL-41 in serum and tissue suggests poor prognosis and postoperative recurrence in HCC patients and could be a new serum diagnostic marker for AFP negative patients.

Diabetes mellitus, a significant global public health challenge, severely impacts human health worldwide. The organoid, an innovative in vitro three-dimensional (3D) culture model, closely mimics tissues or organs in vivo. Insulin-secreting islet organoid, derived from stem cells induced in vitro with 3D structures, has emerged as a potential alternative for islet transplantation and as a possible disease model that mirrors the human body's in vivo environment, eliminating species difference. This technology has gained considerable attention for its potential in diabetes treatment. Despite advances, the process of stem cell differentiation into islet organoid and its cultivation demonstrates deficiencies, prompting ongoing efforts to develop more efficient differentiation protocols and 3D biomimetic materials. At present, the constructed islet organoid exhibit limitations in their composition, structure, and functionality when compared to natural islets. Consequently, further research is imperative to achieve a multi-tissue system composition and improved insulin secretion functionality in islet organoid, while addressing transplantation-related safety concerns, such as tumorigenicity, immune rejection, infection, and thrombosis. This review delves into the methodologies and strategies for constructing the islet organoid, its application in diabetes treatment, and the pivotal scientific challenges within organoid research, offering fresh perspectives for a deeper understanding of diabetes pathogenesis and the development of therapeutic interventions.

What is already known about this topic?: Echinococcosis exhibits a global distribution. In China, the primary endemic area is the northwest region. In December 2023, we documented a case of echinococcosis in an individual lacking any travel or residential history in endemic regions. What is added by this report?: This is the first laboratory-confirmed case of hepatic echinococcosis reported in Guangdong Province, associated with the G7 genotype of Echinococcus granulosus (E. granulosus). The most probable mode of transmission is a local infection resulting from E. granulosus introduced from endemic regions. What are the implications for public health practice?: As the circulation of agricultural products increases, it is essential to enhance the quarantine and management of livestock from epidemic areas to prevent and control the spread of echinococcosis to non-epidemic regions.

BACKGROUND: PREDICT is a web-based tool for forecasting breast cancer outcomes. PREDICT version 3.0 was recently released. This study aimed to validate this tool for a large population in mainland China and compare v3.0 with v2.2. METHODS: Women who underwent surgery for nonmetastatic primary invasive breast cancer between 2010 and 2020 from the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University were selected. Predicted and observed 5-year overall survival (OS) for both v3.0 and v2.2 were compared. Discrimination was compared using receiver-operator curves and DeLong test. Calibration was evaluated using calibration plots and chi-squared test. A difference greater than 5% was deemed clinically relevant. RESULTS: A total of 5424 patients were included, with median follow-up time of 58 months (IQR 38-89 months). Compared to v2.2, v3.0 did not show improved discriminatory accuracy for 5-year OS (AUC: 0.756 vs 0.771), same as ER-positive and ER-negative patients. However, calibration was significantly improved in v3.0, with predicted 5-year OS deviated from observed by -2.0% for the entire cohort, -2.9% for ER-positive and -0.0% for ER-negative patients, compared to -7.3%, -4.7% and -13.7% in v2.2. In v3.0, 5-year OS was underestimated by 9.0% for patients older than 75 years, and 5.8% for patients with micrometastases. Patients with distant metastases postdiagnosis was overestimated by 10.6%. CONCLUSIONS: PREDICT v3.0 reliably predicts 5-year OS for the majority of Chinese patients with breast cancer. PREDICT v3.0 significantly improved the predictive accuracy for ER-negative groups. Furthermore, caution is advised when interpreting 5-year OS for patients aged over 70, those with micrometastases or metastases postdiagnosis.

INTRODUCTION: Lipid molecules are present in tumours and play an important role in the anti-inflammatory response as well as in antiviral protection. Changes in the type and location of lipids in the intestine following exposure to environmental stressors play an important role in several disorders, including ulcerative colitis (UC), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and colorectal cancer. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this work is to provide a new theoretical basis for tumour initiation and development by accurately measuring the spatial distribution of lipids and metabolites in intestinal tissue. Spatial metabolomics allows the detection of samples with minimal sample volume by label-free imaging of complex samples in their original state. The distribution of lipid molecules in tumours has not been reported, although the distribution of lipid molecules in intestinal tissue has been reported in the literature. METHODS: The range of lipid profiles in colon cancer mouse tumour tissue was compiled using a spatial metabolomics: lipid extraction method. The changes in lipid distribution in two regions after oral administration of American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolius L.) vesicles were also compared. Tumour tissue samples were extracted with 80% methanol-20% formic acid in water. RESULTS: The resulting spatial metabolic profile allowed the identification of seven lipid classes in mouse tumours. The distribution of fibre tissue cells was 23.2% higher than tumour tissue cells, with the exception of the fatty acid (FA) species.

The aging characteristic components of oil-paper insulation reflect the aging status of the power equipment. In this study, we designed a novel microfluidic chip capable of automatic and rapid extraction of aging components from insulating oil. Combined with Raman spectroscopy technology, it enables simultaneous detection of various aging components. By optimizing the microfluidic chip structural and adopting an optical window encapsulation, it eliminates interference from the Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Measurements and analyses were carried out on multiple oil samples containing three aging products (furfural, acetone, and methanol). The results indicate that this novel microfluidic chip facilitates simultaneous detection of multiple components, significantly improving the detection sensitivity of complex oil. The detection limits for furfural, acetone, and methanol in insulating oil are 0.43 mg/L, 1.04 mg/L, and 2.31 mg/L, respectively. This provides a new approach for the online detection of oil-paper insulation equipment.

BACKGROUND: While evidence suggests that PM2.5 is associated with overall prevalence of Metabolic (dysfunction)-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD), effects of comprehensive air pollutant mixture on MAFLD and its subtypes remain unclear. OBJECTIVE: To investigate individual and joint effects of long-term exposure to comprehensive air pollutant mixture on MAFLD and its subtypes. METHODS: Data of 27,699 participants of the Chinese Cohort of Working Adults were analyzed. MAFLD and subtypes, including overweight/obesity, lean, and diabetes MAFLD, were diagnosed according to clinical guidelines. Concentrations of NO3-, SO42-, NH4+, organic matter (OM), black carbon (BC), PM2.5, SO2, NO2, O3 and CO were estimated as a weighted average over participants' residential and work addresses for the three years preceding outcome assessment. Logistic regression and weighted quantile sum regression were used to estimate individual and joint effects of air pollutant mixture on presence of MAFLD. RESULTS: Overall prevalence of MAFLD was 26.6 % with overweight/obesity, lean, and diabetes MAFLD accounting for 92.0 %, 6.4 %, and 1.6 %, respectively. Exposure to SO42-, NO3-, NH4+, BC, PM2.5, NO2, O3and CO was significantly associated with overall MAFLD, overweight/obesity MAFLD, or lean MAFLD in single pollutant models. Joint effects of air pollutant mixture were observed for overall MAFLD (OR = 1.10 [95 % CI: 1.03, 1.17]), overweight/obesity (1.09 [1.02, 1.15]), and lean MAFLD (1.63 [1.28, 2.07]). Contributions of individual air pollutants to joint effects were dominated by CO in overall and overweight/obesity MAFLD (Weights were 42.31 % and 45.87 %, respectively), while SO42- (36.34 %), SO2 (21.00 %) and BC (12.38 %) were more important in lean MAFLD. Being male, aged above 45 years and smoking increased joint effects of air pollutant mixture on overall MAFLD. CONCLUSIONS: Air pollutant mixture was associated with MAFLD, particularly the lean MAFLD subtype. CO played a pivotal role in both overall and overweight/obesity MAFLD, whereas SO42- were associated with lean MAFLD.

Gastrointestinal inflammation and intestinal barrier function have important effects on human health. Alcohol, an important foodborne hazard factor, damages the intestinal barrier, increasing the risk of disease. Lactobacillus reuteri strains have been reported to reduce gastrointestinal inflammation and strengthen the intestinal barrier. In this study, we selected three anti-inflammatory L. reuteri strains to evaluate their role in the protection of the intestinal barrier and their immunomodulatory activity in a mouse model of gradient alcohol intake. Among the three strains tested (FSCDJY33M3, FGSZY33L6, and FCQHCL8L6), L. reuteri FSCDJY33M3 was found to protect the intestinal barrier most effectively, possibly due to its ability to reduce the expression of interleukin (IL)-1ß, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and increase the expression of tight junction proteins (occludin, claudin-3). Genomic analysis suggested that the protective effects of L. reuteri FSCDJY33M3 may be related to functional genes and glycoside hydrolases associated with energy production and conversion, amino acid transport and metabolism, carbohydrate transport and metabolism, and DNA replication, recombination, and repair. These genes include COG2856, COG1804, COG2071, and COG1061, which encode adenine deaminase, acyl-CoA transferases, glutamine amidotransferase, RNA helicase, and glycoside hydrolases, including GH13_20, GH53, and GH70. Our results identified functional genes that may be related to protection against alcohol-induced intestinal barrier damage, which might be useful for screening lactic acid bacterial strains that can protect the intestinal barrier.

PURPOSE: Head and neck cancer is the sixth most common type of cancer worldwide, wherein the immune responses are closely associated with disease occurrence, development, and prognosis. Investigation of the role of immunogenic cell death-related genes (ICDGs) in adaptive immune response activation may provide cues into the mechanism underlying the outcome of HNSCC immunotherapy. METHODS: ICDGs expression patterns in HNSCC were analyzed, after which consensus clustering in HNSCC cohort conducted. A 4-gene prognostic model was constructed through LASSO and Cox regression analyses to analyze the prognostic index using the TCGA dataset, followed by validation with two GEO datasets. The distribution of immune cells and the response to immunotherapy were compared between different risk subtypes through multiple algorithms. Moreover, immunohistochemical (IHC) analyses were conducted to validate the prognostic value of HSP90AA1 as a predictor of HNSCC patient prognosis. In vitro assays were performed to further detect the effect of HSP90AA1 in the development of HNSCC. RESULTS: A novel prognostic index based on four ICDGs was constructed and proved to be useful as an independent factor of HNSCC prognosis. The risk score derived from this model grouped patients into high- and low-risk subtypes, wherein the high-risk subtype had worse survival outcomes and poorer immunotherapy response. IHC analysis validated the applicability of HSP90AA1 as a predictor of prognosis of HNSCC patients. HSP90AA1 expression in tumor cells promotes the progression of HNSCC. CONCLUSIONS: Together, these results highlight a novel four-gene prognostic signature as a valuable tool to assess survival status and prognosis of HNSCC patients.

Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are reticular structures composed of neutrophil elastase (NE), cathepsin G (CG) and DNA-histone enzyme complexes. Accumulating evidence has revealed that NETs play important roles in tumor progression, metastasis, and thrombosis. However, our understanding of its clinical value and mechanism of action in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is limited and has not yet been systematically described. Here, we aimed to investigate the clinical significance of NETs in OSCC and the mechanisms by which they affect its invasive and metastatic capacity. Our results demonstrated that high enrichment of NETs is associated with poor prognosis in OSCC, and mechanistic studies have shown that NE in NETs promotes invasion and metastasis via NLRP3-mediated inhibition of pyroptosis in OSCC. These findings may provide a new therapeutic approach for OSCC.

Lignans are widely distributed in nature, primarily found in the xylem and resins of plants, with the constituent units C6-C3, and their dimers are the most common in plants. In recent years, the trimeric sesquilignans have also received increasing attention from scholars. More than 200 derivatives have been isolated and identified from nearly 50 families, most of which are different types (monoepoxy lignans, bisepoxy lignans, benzofuran lignans) connected with simple phenylpropanoids through ether bonds, C-C bonds, and oxygen-containing rings to constitute sesquilignans. Some of them also possess pharmacological properties, including antioxidants, hepatoprotectives, antitumors, anti-inflammatory properties, and other properties. In addition, the chemical structure of sesquilignans is closely related to the pharmacological activity, and chemical modification of methoxylation enhances the pharmacological activity. In contrast, phenolic hydroxyl and hydroxyl glycosides reduce the pharmacological activity. Therefore, the present review aims to summarize the chemical diversity, bioactivities, and constitutive relationships to provide a theoretical basis for the more profound development and utilization of sesquilignans.

This innovative platform combines the CRISPR-Cas13a system's precise ability to specifically target and cleave RNA molecules with the amplification capabilities of the hybridization chain reaction (HCR). HCR aids in signal enhancement by creating branched DNA structures. Additionally, the platform employs electrochemiluminescence (ECL) for detection, noted for its high sensitivity and low background noise, making it particularly effective. A key application of this technology is in the detection of miR-17, a biomarker associated with multiple cancer types. It exhibits remarkable detection capabilities, characterized by low detection limits (14.38 aM) and high specificity. Furthermore, the platform's ability to distinguish between similar miRNA sequences and accurately quantify miR-17 in cell lysates underscores its significant potential in clinical and biomedical fields. BACKGROUND: While radiation therapy remains pivotal in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) treatment, the perplexing phenomenon of post-radiation metastasis presents a formidable clinical challenge. This study investigates the role of fibrinogen-like protein 1 (FGL1) in driving ESCC metastasis following radiation exposure. METHODS: FGL1 expression in post-radiation ESCC cells was meticulously examined using qRT-PCR, western blotting, and immunofluorescence. The impact of FGL1 on ESCC cell invasion and migration was assessed through Transwell and wound healing assays. In vivo, the metastatic potential of ESCC in response to FGL1 was scrutinized using nude mice models. Comprehensive RNA sequencing and functional experiments elucidated the intricate mechanism associated with FGL1. RESULTS: Radiation induced upregulation of FGL1 in ESCC cells through FOXO4, intensifying ESCC cell invasion and migration. Targeted knockdown of FGL1 effectively alleviated these characteristics both in vitro and in vivo. FGL1 depletion concurrently suppressed IMPDH1 expression. Rescue experiments underscored that IMPDH1 knockdown robustly reversed the pro-invasive effects induced by FGL1 in ESCC cells. ESCC tissues exhibited heightened IMPDH1 mRNA levels, demonstrating a correlation with patient survival. CONCLUSIONS: Radiation-induced upregulation of FGL1 propels ESCC metastasis through IMPDH1, proposing a potential therapeutic target to mitigate post-radiotherapy metastasis in ESCC patients.

The performance of nano-zero-valent iron for heavy metal remediation can be enhanced via incorporation into bimetallic carbon composites. However, few economical and green approaches are available for preparing bimetallic composite materials. In this study, novel Co/Fe bimetallic biochar composites (BC@Co/Fe-X, where X = 5 or 10 represents the CoCl2 concentration of 0.05 or 0.1 mol L-1) were prepared for the adsorption of Pb2+. The effect of the concentration of cross-linked metal ions on Pb2+ adsorption was investigated, with the composite prepared using 0.05 mol L-1 Co2+ (BC@Co/Fe-5) exhibiting the highest adsorption performance. Various factors, including the adsorption period, Pb2+ concentration, and pH, affected the adsorption of Pb2+ by BC@Co/Fe-5. Further characterisation of BC@Co/Fe-5 before and after Pb2+ adsorption using methods such as X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy suggested that the Pb2+ adsorption mechanism involved (i) Pb2+ reduction to Pb0 by Co/Fe, (ii) Co/Fe corrosion to generate Fe2+ and fix Pb2+ in the form of PbO, and (iii) Pb2+ adsorption by Co/Fe biochar. Notably, BC@Co/Fe-5 exhibited excellent remediation performance in simulated Pb2+-contaminated water and soil with good recyclability.

Objective:To explore the clinical manifestations and imaging characteristics, and to clarify the imaging value in the diagnosis of facial nerve schwannomas. Methods:Retrospectively analyze the data of 23 patients with facial nerve schwannomas confirmed by surgery and pathology in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Military Medical University from September 2020 to September 2022, including 8 males and 15 females, aged 18-66 years old. Summarize and analyze their clinical symptoms, specialized examinations, and imaging findings. Results:The clinical manifestations were facial nerve paralysis in 15 cases(2 cases of HB Ⅳ, 6 cases of HB Ⅴ, 7 cases of HB Ⅵ), hearing loss in 14 cases(5 cases of conductive deafness, 2 cases of mixed deafness, and 7 cases of severe sensorineural hearing loss), 8 cases tinnitus, 7 cases ear pain, 4 cases dizziness, 4 cases headache, 2 cases ear pus, and parotid gland tumors in 6 cases presenting as local masses. Endoscopic examination revealed 8 cases of external ear canal tumors and 3 cases of intratympanic tumors. Combining temporal bone HRCT, MRI enhanced scanning, and CPR imaging techniques, 1 case involved the internal auditory canal segment, 2 cases in the tympanic segment, 6 cases in the parotid gland area. A total of 14 cases involved two or more segments of the internal auditory canal segment, the labyrinthine segment, geniculate ganglion, the tympanic segment, and the mastoid segment. When the tumors were large, adjacent structures were involved. It was found that 8 cases invaded the external auditory canal and tympanic cavity, ossicles were displaced or bony destruction; 3 cases invaded the jugular foramen area, and 1 case grew to the middle cranial fossa region with temporal lobe brain parenchymal compression. Conclusion:The clinical manifestations of facial nerve schwannomas are diverse. The combination of various imaging techniques will be conducive to topical and qualitative diagnosis and provide an important basis for treatment strategies.

Meloidogyne incognita is one of the most widely distributed plant-parasitic nematodes and causes severe economic losses annually. The parasite produces effector proteins that play essential roles in successful parasitism. Here, we identified one such effector named MiCE108, which is exclusively expressed within the nematode subventral esophageal gland cells and is upregulated in the early parasitic stage of M. incognita. A yeast signal sequence trap assay showed that MiCE108 contains a functional signal peptide for secretion. Virus-induced gene silencing of MiCE108 impaired the parasitism of M. incognita in Nicotiana benthamiana. The ectopic expression of MiCE108 in Arabidopsis suppressed the deposition of callose, the generation of reactive oxygen species, and the expression of marker genes for bacterial flagellin epitope flg22-triggered immunity, resulting in increased susceptibility to M. incognita, Botrytis cinerea, and Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst) DC3000. The MiCE108 protein physically associates with the plant defense protease RD21A and promotes its degradation via the endosomal-dependent pathway, or 26S proteasome. Consistent with this, knockout of RD21A compromises the innate immunity of Arabidopsis and increases its susceptibility to a broad range of pathogens, including M. incognita, strongly indicating a role in defense against this nematode. Together, our data suggest that M. incognita deploys the effector MiCE108 to target Arabidopsis cysteine protease RD21A and affect its stability, thereby suppressing plant innate immunity and facilitating parasitism.

Background: The prognostic value of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in breast cancer remains to be determined. Therefore, this paper aims to conduct a meta-analysis to assess the correlation between TLR4 and clinicopathological indicators as well as survival outcomes in breast cancer. Method: Related literature retrieved from Embase, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and China Wanfang. The search deadline is April 12, 2023. The outcome measures employed in the study comprised hazard ratio (HR), odds ratio (OR), and 95% confidence interval (CI) as effective indices. The data analysis was conducted using Stata 17.0 software. Results: High TLR4 expression was associated with lymph node metastasis (OR=2.077, 95%CI=1.160-3.717, P= 0.014), tumor size (≥2 cm) (OR=2.194, 95%CI= 1.398-3.445, P= 0.001), PR expression (OR = 0.700, 95% CI = 0.505-0.971, P= 0.033), and clinical stage (OR = 3.578, 95%CI= 3.578-5.817, P<0.05), but not with histological grade (95%CI= 0.976-1.735, P= 0.072), ER expression (OR = 1.125, 95% CI = 0.492-2.571,P= 0.781), and HER-2 status (OR = 1.241, 95% CI = 0.733-2.101, P = 0.422). In addition, TLR4 overexpression was an independent prognostic indicator of DFS (HR= 1.480, 95%CI= 1.028- 2.130, p= 0.035) in breast cancer patients, but not related to OS(HR=1.730, 95%CI= 0.979-3.057, P= 0.059). Conclusions: From our main analysis results, high TLR4 expression is associated with lymph node metastasis, larger tumor size (≥2 cm), later clinical stage, negative PR expression and shorter DFS, suggesting poor prognosis in breast cancer patients.

Background: Cancer is a common cause of death around the world. Immunotherapy plays a significant role in cancer treatment but still has limitations. The ankyrin-3 (ANK3) gene has been shown to have a variety of biological roles and has also been shown to be closely linked to individual cancers. Methods: We systematically investigated the role of ANK3 in pan-cancer, particularly in relation to immunity. We collected data from a number of databases, including the The University of ALabama at Birmingham CANcer data analysis Portal (UALCAN), tumor-immune system interactions (TISIDB), cBioPortal, Tumor Immune Estimation Resource (TIMER), Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins (STRING), BioGRID, and SangerBox databases. R (version 3.6.3) was used for the statistical analysis and data visualization. The expression of ANK3 in tumors and its effects on patient prognosis, immune infiltration, neoantigens, the microenvironment, immune checkpoints (ICs), the tumor mutation burden, microsatellite instability (MSI), methylation, mismatch repair (MMR) genes, and cancer-associated fibroblasts were investigated. A gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was also conducted. Results: The ANK3 gene was differentially expressed at the messenger RNA (mRNA) and protein levels in various human tumors. The prognosis of patients with different types of malignancies was correlated with the level of ANK3 expression. The immunological microenvironment was also linked to ANK3 expression, especially in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), and liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC). ANK3 was also associated with ICs, immune neoantigens, MSI, the tumor mutation load, MMR genes, and DNA methylation. Finally, we found the key pathway related to the ANK3 gene through the enrichment analysis. Conclusions: ANK3 could serve as a new biomarker specific to prognosis and immunotherapy in various cancers. Our findings could contribute to the development of novel strategies for treating malignancies.
