Este pequeno artigo narra a fundação da revista Psicologia USP em 1990 e sua origem, inspirada no Jornal Brasileiro de Psicologia. Faz também, singela homenagem ao seu idealizador Professor Norberto de Abreu e Silva Neto.
This short article is on the establishement of the Psicologia USP journal and its origins, which was inspired by the journal Jornal Brasileiro de Psicologia. It also renders a tribute to Doctor Norberto de Abreu e Silva Neto, the creator of the journal.
Ce petit article raconte l`origine de la revue Psicologia USP, inspirée de la revue Jornal Brasileiro de Psicologia. Il rend aussi un hommage au Professeur Norberto de Abreu e Silva Neto, le créateur de La revue.
Este breve articulo narra la fundación de la revista Psicologia USP em 1990, asi como también su origen inspirado em revista Jornal Brasileiro de Psicologia. Hace además, um singular homenaje póstumo a su realizador Professor Norberto de Abreu e Silva Neto.

Acta Ophthalmologica appeared as the scientific journal of the Nordic ophthalmological Societies in 1923. The intention was to expose the clinical and experimental developments among the ophthalmological communities of the four Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The collaboration within the field of ophthalmology had been attempted with the publication of 'Nordisk ophthalmologisk Tidsskrift' in the years 1889-1892. Now, once again, the wish for a tighter Nordic cooperation was explored by enthusiastic ophthalmologists in all four countries. One person stands out as the driving force, K.K.K. Lundsgaard, who in spite of his early death in 1931 was remembered by name on the front page of Acta since 1936 by the Latin phrase 'A K.K.K. Lundsgaard edi coepta'. The present review recalls details from the early years when the journal found its place in the ophthalmology and creates the background for some reflections on purpose and goals by publishing a scientific journal.

Volumes of the Archives of Ophthalmology from the early years of the 20th century include original articles as well as reports of proceedings of important ophthalmologic conferences held in the United States, Great Britain, and on the European continent. Original articles often provided new information, but speakers at conferences frequently offered lucid opinions on topics relevant to practitioners that were not found elsewhere in journals from that era, and these reports give us a sense of their thinking, particularly about therapeutic practices and knowledge of cataract and glaucoma.

Essa pesquisa analisa o periódico Medicina Militar, publicado entre abril de 1910 e junho de 1923 no Rio de Janeiro, por um grupo de oficiais do Serviço de Saúde do Exército Brasileiro, que tinham como objetivo declarado transmitir conhecimento científico ao pessoal de saúde distribuído por todo o Brasil. Nesse estudo a revista é dissecada de forma a possibilitar aos leitores uma apreciação geral detodos os seus aspectos, da formatação ao conteúdo. Nesse processo são analisados todos os exemplares produzidos no período em questão, além dos relatórios e personagens. Seu conjunto temático é analisado através de artigos que exemplificam as questões mais relevantes para o universo militar, em particular, passando pelas doenças, higiene militar e pela atuação do pessoal de saúde em campanha.
This research analyzes Military Medicine, a periodic publication printed between April 1910 and June 1923 in Rio de Janeiro, by a group of officers from the Brazilian Army Health Service. Their objective was to transfer scientific knowledge to their comrades spread all over Brazil. In this study the magazine is reviewed to extend to the readers a general view of all its aspects, from formatting to content. In this process, allissues published in the abovementioned period are analyzed, as well as the reports and characters involved. The magazines philosophy is analyzed through articles exemplifying the most relevant questions in the military world, in particular illnesses, military hygiene, and the participation of medical military personnel in the field.
