RESUMO

Low-carbon is a part of China's efforts to pursue the national strategy of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality." Meanwhile, the path of low-carbon transformation of logistics has become a topic of global concern. This study constructs a technical framework of logistics carbon emissions (LCE), which is composed of carbon emission evaluation, carbon emission prediction and low-carbon strategy. All 13 prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu, China, are the application objects in empirical research. Then, the influence analysis of the LCE efficiency based on the panel Tobit model and the evolution of LCE under different scenarios are explored. The results show that: (ⅰ) during the study period (2013-2020), the LCE in Jiangsu showed an overall upward trend, with Xuzhou, Suzhou and Nanjing being the cities with the highest carbon emissions; (ⅱ) the static efficiency of LCE in Jiangsu is at a medium level, with fluctuations in Suzhou, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Nantong, and Suqian caused by the technical change index; (ⅲ) economic level, industrial structure, fixed asset utilization rate, and ecological environment in Jiangsu are significantly positively correlated with LCE efficiency, while education popularization and energy intensity are negative; (ⅳ) LCE in Jiangsu has been drastically reduced in the low-carbon scenario compared to the baseline scenario. On the above basis, this study proposes suggestions for the low-carbon development strategies of logistics in Jiangsu.

Background: It is essential to implement parent-targeted interventions to increase the use of child restraint systems (CRS) and thus reduce the injuries and deaths of children due to motor vehicle collisions. To optimize future intervention designs, this meta-analysis sought to quantify the effects of parent-targeted interventions and explore potential intervention moderators. Methods: Studies met inclusion criteria if they included a parents-targeted intervention that focused on increasing CRS use for children, published from the inception of the databases to January 2022, were systematically retrieved from the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane library, Web of Science, Sinomed, Wanfang, and CNKI databases. Next, 2 researchers independently screened the retrieved articles, evaluated their quality according to the Cochrane Tool, and extracted the data. Finally, Stata12.0 was used for the meta-analysis. Heterogeneity was examined with I2, stratified analyses, and meta-regression. Results: Of the 1,690 articles retrieved, 9 studies, comprising 22,329 parents of children aged 0-12 years, were ultimately included in the analysis. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the CRS use rate of the intervention group was 1.62 times higher than that of the control group [95% confidence interval (CI): 1.25-2.11, Z=3.616, P<0.001], indicating the positive effect of parent-targeted interventions on promoting the use of CRS. The subgroup analysis found that interventions guided by behavioral theories increased the use of CRS (odds ratio: 1.44, 95% CI: 1.27-1.63, n=5). The difference in the use of CRS between the groups in the studies that were not guided by theories was not statistically significant, indicating that interventions guided by behavioral theories may be the source of the heterogeneity. Risk of bias was low in most studies. Conclusions: It is necessary to conduct interventions with parents to increase the use of CRS. The effects on CRS use appear to differ depending on whether the interventions are guided by behavioral theories. In-depth research needs to be conducted to explore the characteristics of the interventions, especially those guided by different behavioral theories, to reduce child vehicle injuries.

BACKGROUND: Pregnancy tests can be used for the early diagnosis of fetal problems and can prevent abnormal birth in pregnancies. Yet, testing preferences among Chinese women are poorly investigated. METHODS: We developed a Discrete Choice Experiment with 5 attributes: test procedure, detection rate, miscarriage rate, time to wait for result, and test cost. By studying the choices that the women make in the hypothetical scenarios and comparing the attributes and levels, we can analyze the women's preference of prenatal testing in China. RESULTS: Ninety-two women completed the study. Respondents considered the test procedure as the most important attribute, followed by detection rate, miscarriage rate, wait time for result, and test cost, respectively. The estimated preference weight for the non-invasive procedure was 0.928 (P < 0.0001). All other attributes being equal, the odds of choosing a non-invasive testing procedure over an invasive one was 2.53 (95% confidence interval, 2.42-2.64; P < 0.001). Participants were willing to pay up to RMB$28,810 (approximately US$4610) for a non-invasive test, RMB$6061(US$970) to reduce the miscarriage rate by 1% and up to RMB$3356 (US$537) to increase the detection rate by 1%. Compared to other DCE (Discrete Choice Experiment) studies regarding Down's syndrome screening, women in our study place relatively less emphasis on test safety. CONCLUSIONS: The present study has shown that Chinese women place more emphasis on detection rate than test safety. Chinese women place great preference on noninvasive prenatal testing, which indicate a popular need of incorporating noninvasive prenatal testing into the health insurance coverage in China. This study provided valuable evidence for the decision makers in the Chinese government.

OBJECTIVES: The implant abutments, which had their own colour, might cause the discoloration of peri-implant mucosa. We aimed to appraise trails comparing the discoloration of peri-implant soft tissue around zirconia and titanium or golden abutments, the tints of which were vastly different. DATA: We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs), controlled clinical trials (CCTs), cohort studies with patients rehabilitated with zirconia, titanium or golden implant abutments, quantitatively comparing the discoloration of peri-implant soft tissue according to CIE-Lab colour scale. SOURCES: A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, EMBASE, CDSR, and CENTRAL databases without any restriction on September 23, 2017. "Grey" literatures were also searched. A manual search was carried out as well. STUDY SELECTION: Of 584 articles initially retrieved, eight were eligible for inclusion. After data extraction, meta-analyses with mean differences (MDs) and their 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were employed. Moreover, the risk of bias within or across studies was assessed by Cochrane Collaboration's tool for assessing risk, the Newcastle-Ottawa scale, funnel plots, or Egger's test. RESULTS: Four RCTs and four cohort studies were included. Soft-tissue discoloration around zirconia abutments was significantly less likely compared to that around titanium abutments (MD = -1.84; 95% CI = -3.62 to -0.07; P = 0.04 < 0.05) or golden abutments (MD = -0.90; 95% CI = -1.60 to -0.20; P = 0.01 < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Zirconia abutments with white tint compared to grey titanium or golden abutments seem to restore a more appropriate colour match between peri-implant mucosa and natural teeth. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Based on the present evidence, the "nature-like" zirconia abutments should be applied more often in the clinic. PROSPERO REGISTRATION NUMBER: CRD42017075930.
