Formación doctoral en el Hospital Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez / Doctoral training at Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez Hospital

Introducción: La Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de La Habana centra sus esfuerzos en impulsar la formación doctoral a nivel institucional para incrementar el número de doctores en ciencias del claustro. Esto ha favorecido el aumento de proyectos investigativos institucionales, así como la participación en eventos, Jornadas Científicas, Fórum de Ciencia y Técnica, y publicaciones científicas, entre otros. Objetivo: Evaluar los resultados de la implementación del doctorado tutelar institucional en el Hospital "Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez". Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, en el que se utilizaron los métodos análisis documental de la sección de Posgrado e investigaciones del Departamento Docente del Hospital Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez, 2015-2020; y sistémico, estructural y funcional, para manifestar las interrelaciones entre los componentes de análisis del programa de formación doctoral a profesionales del área asistencial en las Ciencias de la Educación Médica. Resultados: Desde noviembre de 2017, la implementación de la formación doctoral en el Departamento Docente del hospital, encaminada a la formación de Doctores en Ciencias en Educación Médica, posibilitó el desarrollo de investigaciones científicas como ejecución de proyectos investigativos, tutorías, participación en eventos científicos, publicaciones, etcétera. En la actualidad han participado en este programa 46 profesionales, se cuenta con 73 proyectos investigativos institucionales, 84 publicaciones, y varias actividades científicas encaminadas al cumplimiento del programa. Conclusiones: El hospital Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez cuenta con una formación para la obtención del grado científico que ha logrado incrementar sustancialmente la producción científica desde el fortalecimiento de las competencias investigativas de los profesionales para el desarrollo de la investigación en la institución(AU)

Introduction: The University of Medical Sciences of Havana focuses its efforts on promoting doctoral training at the institutional level in order to increase the number of doctors of philosophy as part of the faculty. This has permitted an increase in the institutional research projects, as well as participation in events, scientific meetings, science and technology fora, and scientific publications, among others. Objective: To assess the results of the implementation of the institutional doctoral research at Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez Hospital. Methods: Descriptive study carried out through the use of the document analysis methods from the Postgraduate and Research Section of the Teaching Department at Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez Hospital, from 2015-2020. Also, the systemic, structural and functional methods were used, to show the interrelationships between the components of analysis of the doctoral training program for professionals in the healthcare area in the sciences of medical education. Results: Since November 2017, the implementation of doctoral training in the Teaching Department of the Hospital, aimed at the training of Doctors of Philosophy in Medical Education, made possible the development of scientific research as the practical development of research projects, scientific advice, participation in scientific events, publications, among others. Currently, 46 professionals have participated in this program, there are 73 institutional research projects, 84 publications, and various scientific activities aimed at fulfilling the program. Conclusions: Dr. Joaquín Albarrán Domínguez Hospital provides training in view of obtaining the scientific degree that has managed to increase substantially scientific production from the strengthening of research competences in professionals for the development of research at the institution(AU)

La formación permanente y continuada: principio de la educación médica / Permanent and continuing education: a principle of medical education

RESUMEN El desarrollo científico y tecnológico ha traído como consecuencia la formación de los recursos humanos en todos los contextos laborales y formativos, respecto al sector de la salud constituye un elemento que se estabiliza como principio de la ciencia de la educación médica. Los autores pretenden socializarlos como sustento, al ofrecer un texto científico acerca del carácter permanente y continuado de la formación de los recursos humanos, que persigue promover la reflexión en torno al proceso de construcción de las ciencias, vía para la adquisición de competencias en los servicios asistenciales, docentes e investigativos; por ello se hace necesario su adecuada ejecución como estrategia en las universidades médicas cubanas.

ABSTRACT Scientific and technological development has resulted in the formation of human resources in all labor and training contexts, with respect to the health branch is an element that is stabilized as a principle of the medical education science. The authors intend to socialize them as support, by offering a scientific essay about the permanent and continuous nature of the training of human resources, which seeks to promote reflection on the process of building sciences, via to acquire competencies in medical care, teaching and researching services; for this reason it is necessary its adequate implementation as a strategy, in the Cuban medical universities.

Costos del tratamiento de las telangiectasias y várices tronculares con escleroterapia con espuma en el Hospital Freyre de Andrade de La Habana / Cost of the treatment of t elangiectases and varicose veins with foam sclerotherapy in Freyre de Andrade hospital in Havana

Objetivo: determinar cuánto cuesta por paciente el tratamiento de várices por la técnica de escleroterapia con espuma en la consulta externa de Angiología y Cirugía Vascular del Hospital C.Q. Freyre de Andrade. Método: evaluación económica del tipo descripción de costo. Se estudió el costo directo institucional del tratamiento ambulatorio para várices en extremidades inferiores con escleroterapia con espuma y donde el principio activo fue Polidocanol al 0,5 por ciento a una dosis de 2ml. Se emplearon las partidas recursos humanos, material gastable y medicamento. Se determinó el costo promedio por paciente, total y según tipo de consulta. Resultados: el costo total por paciente atendido fue de 68,60 pesos cubanos. El costo medio por paciente de la consulta de clasificación fue de 0,18 centavos de pesos cubanos (DS 95 por ciento= 0,12). El costo medio de la consulta de tratamiento fue de 50,60 pesos cubanos (DS 95 por ciento=7,65). No hubo diferencias significativas entre los diferentes tipos de varices a tratar. Conclusiones: el costo directo institucional del tratamiento de telangiectasias y varices tronculares con escleroterapia con espuma fue similar. A corto plazo, el tratamiento de las várices con escleroterapia con espuma genera menores costos que la opción quirúrgica

Objective: to determine the cost of the treatment of varicose veins per patient with the foam sclerotherapy in the angiology and vascular surgery outpatient service of Freyre de Andrade clinical and surgical hospital. Method: a cost description-type economic assessment. The institutional direct cost of the leg varicose veins treatment with foam sclerotherapy at the outpatient service, using the active principle called 0.5 percent polidocanol at a dose of 2 ml, was studied. The variables were human resources, disposable materials and drugs. The average cost per patient, the total cost and type of service-depending cost were all estimated. Results: the total cost per patient was 68.60 Cuban pesos. The mean cost per patient at the classification service was 0.18 Cuban cents (SD 95 por ciento=0.12). The mean cost of the treatment service was 50.60 Cuban pesos (95 por ciento SD=7.65). There were no significant differences among the different types of varices under treatment. Conclusions: the institutional direct cost of the treatment of telangiectases and varicose veins by using foam sclerotherapy was comparable. In the short term, the treatment of varices with this method brings lower costs than those of the surgical alternative
