RESUMO

The logistics industry is closely related to the high-quality economic development. At different levels of industrial structure, the relationship between high-quality development of the logistics industry and the high-quality economic development will vary, resulting in different roles and paths in promoting economic development. However, there is still a lack of research on the relationship between high-quality development of the logistics industry and high-quality economic development at different levels of industrial structure, and further empirical research is needed. It used the benchmark regression model to analyze the impact of the high-quality development of the logistics industry on high-quality economic development, and the panel threshold model was used to analyze the impact of the logistics industry on high-quality economic development at different levels of industrial structure development. The results show that the high-quality development of the logistics industry has a positive role in promoting the high-quality economic development, and in different levels of industrial structure development, the impact of high-quality development level of logistics industry on the high-quality economic development is different. Therefore, it is necessary to further optimize the industrial structure, promote the deep integration and development of logistics and related industries, and continue to promote the high-quality development of the logistics industry. And when formulating development strategies for the logistics industry, governments and enterprises need to consider factors such as changes in industrial structure, the overall goals of national economy, people's livelihood, and social development, in order to provide solid support for achieving high-quality economic development. This paper demonstrates the importance of high-quality development of the logistics industry in high-quality economic development, and it encourages the adoption of different strategies at different stages of industrial structure development to promote high-quality development of the logistics industry, and achieve high-quality economic development.

RESUMO

Global hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) cumulative emissions will be more than 20 Gt CO2-equiv during 2020-2060 and have a non-negligible impact on global warming even in full compliance with the Kigali Amendment (KA). Fluorochemical manufacturers (including multinationals) in China have accounted for about 70% of global HFC production since 2015, of which about 60% is emitted outside China. This study built an integrated model (i.e., DECAF) to estimate both territorial and exported emissions of China under three scenarios and assess the corresponding climate effects as well as abatement costs. Achieving near-zero territorial emissions by 2060 could avoid 23 ± 4 Gt CO2-equiv of cumulative territorial emissions (compared to the 2019 Baseline scenario) during 2020-2060 at an average abatement cost of 9 ± 6 USD/t CO2-equiv. Under the near-zero emission (including territorial and abroad) pathway, radiative forcing from HFCs will peak in 2037 (60 ± 6 mW/m2) with a 33% peak reduction and 8 years in advance compared to the path regulated by the KA, and the radiative forcing by 2060 will be lower than that in 2019. Accelerated phase-out of HFC production in China could provide a possibility for rapid global HFC abatement and achieve greater climate benefits.

RESUMO

A patient-derived tumor model (PDM) is a practical tool to rapidly screen chemotherapeutics for individual patients. The evaluation method of cell viability directly determines the application of PDMs for drug susceptibility testing. As one of the metabolites of "glycosis", the lactate content was used to evaluate cell viability, but these assays were not specific for tumor cells. Based on the "Warburg effect", wherein tumor cells preferentially rely on "aerobic glycolysis" to produce lactate instead of pyruvate in "anaerobic glycolysis" of normal cells, we reported a gold lactate sensor (GLS) to estimate the cell viability of PDMs in drug susceptibility testing. It demonstrated high consistency between the GLS and commercial cell viability assay. Unlike either imaging or cell viability assay, the GLS characterizes the cell viability, enables dynamic monitoring, and distinguishes tumor cells from other cells. Moreover, machine learning (ML) was employed to perform a multi-index assessment for drug susceptibility of PDMs, which proved to be accurate and practical for clinical application. Therefore, the GLS provides an ideal drug susceptibility testing tool for individualized medicine.

RESUMO

Fluorescent whitening agents (FWAs) are very important chemical additives that are widely applied in the industrial production field. The history of global FWA production and use spans more than 60 years, but the environmental fate of FWAs has been less reported in the public literature and most studies predate 2000; in addition, the studied FWAs were still limited to FWA71 and FWA351. In this study, the occurrence and distribution of 9 commonly used FWAs in a lake in North China were reported for the first time. We found that 6 target FWAs were prevalent in the lake, and the concentration levels were usually at the ng L-1 level. Decreasing FWA levels with increasing distance from the estuary area were observed in summer. FWA135, FWA185, and FWA367, the most detected 3 FWAs, with the ecological risk at high levels, and ΣRQ >10 were obtained from all the investigated samples, suggesting that all the sampling sites could be considered with certain ecological risk for aquatic life. As a category of heavily and widely used dyes, FWAs in environmental media have been ignored for a long time. Substantial additional research needs to be conducted to determine the environmental behavior and ecological toxicology of FWAs.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: There is a great demand for convenient and quantitative assessment of upper-limb traumatic peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) beyond their clinical routine. This would contribute to improved PNI management and rehabilitation. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to develop a novel surface EMG examination method for quantitatively evaluating traumatic upper-limb PNIs. METHODS: Experiments were conducted to collect surface EMG data from forearm muscles on both sides of seven male subjects during their performance of eight designated hand and wrist motion tasks. All participants were clinically diagnosed as unilateral traumatic upper-limb PNIs on the ulnar nerve, median nerve, or radial nerve. Ten healthy control participants were also enrolled in the study. A novel framework consisting of two modules was also proposed for data analysis. One module was first used to identify whether a PNI occurs on a tested forearm using a machine learning algorithm by extracting and classifying features from surface EMG data. The second module was then used to quantitatively evaluate the degree of injury on three individual nerves on the examined arm. RESULTS: The evaluation scores yielded by the proposed method were highly consistent with the clinical assessment decisions for three nerves of all 34 examined arms (7 × 2 + 10 × 2), with a sensitivity of 81.82%, specificity of 98.90%, and significate linear correlation (p < 0.05) in quantitative decision points between the proposed method and the routine clinical approach. CONCLUSION: This study offers a useful tool for PNI assessment and helps to promote extensive clinical applications of surface EMG.

RESUMO

This study presents a frequency analysis of surface electromyogram (EMG) signals acquired by a linear electrode array from the biceps brachii muscles bilaterally in 14 hemiparetic stroke subjects. For different levels of isometric contraction ranging from 10 to 80% of the maximum voluntary contraction (MVC), the power spectra of 19 bipolar surface EMG channels arranged proximally to distally along the muscle fibers were examined in both paretic and contralateral muscles. It was found that across all stroke subjects, the median frequency (MF) and the mean power frequency (MPF), averaged from different surface EMG channels, were significantly smaller in the paretic muscle compared to the contralateral muscle at each of the matched percent MVC contractions. The muscle fiber conduction velocity (MFCV) was significantly slower in the paretic muscle than in the contralateral muscle. No significant correlation between the averaged MF, MPF, or MFCV vs. torque was found in both paretic and contralateral muscles. However, there was a significant positive correlation between the global MFCV and MF. Examination of individual EMG channels showed that electrodes closest to the estimated muscle innervation zones produced surface EMG signals with significantly higher MF and MPF than more proximal or distal locations in both paretic and contralateral sides. These findings suggest complex central and peripheral neuromuscular alterations (such as selective loss of large motor units, disordered control of motor units, increased motor unit synchronization, and atrophy of muscle fibers, etc.) which can collectively influence the surface EMG signals. The frequency difference with regard to the innervation zone also confirms the relevance of electrode position in surface EMG analysis.

RESUMO

Many rapidly developing regions have begun to draw the attention of the world. Meanwhile, the energy and environmental issues associated with rapid economic growth have aroused widespread critical concern. Therefore, studying energy, economic, and environmental systems is of great importance. This study establishes a system dynamic model that covers multiple aspects of those systems, such as energy, economy, population, water pollution, air pollution, solid waste, and technology. The model designed here attempts to determine the impacts of socioeconomic development on the energy and environment of Tongzhou District in three scenarios: under current, planning, and sustainable conditions. The results reveal that energy shortages and water pollutions are very serious and are the key issues constraining future social and economic development. Solid waste emissions increase with population growth. The prediction results provide valuable insights into social advancement.
