ABSTRACT

Litsea coreana Levl. var. sinensis (Allen) Yang et P. H. Huang is a popular ethnic herb and beverage plant known for its high flavonoid content, which has been linked to a variety of pharmacological benefits and crucial health-promoting impacts in humans. The progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms of flavonoid accumulation in this plant has been hindered due to the deficiency of genomic and transcriptomic resources. We utilized a combination of Illumina and Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) sequencing to generate a de novo hybrid transcriptome assembly. In total, 126,977 unigenes were characterized, out of which 107,977 were successfully annotated in seven public databases. Within the annotated unigenes, 3,781 were categorized into 58 transcription factor families. Furthermore, we investigated the presence of four valuable flavonoids-quercetin-3-O-ß-D-galactoside, quercetin-3-O-ß-D-glucoside, kaempferol-3-O-ß-D-galactoside, and kaempferol-3-O-ß-D-glucoside in 98 samples, using high-performance liquid chromatography. A weighted gene co-expression network analysis identified two co-expression modules, MEpink and MEturquoise, that showed strong positive correlation with flavonoid content. Within these modules, four transcription factor genes (R2R3-MYB, NAC, WD40, and ARF) and four key enzyme-encoding genes (CHI, F3H, PAL, and C4H) emerged as potential hub genes. Among them, the R2R3-MYB (LcsMYB123) as a homologous gene to AtMYB123/TT2, was speculated to play a significant role in flavonol biosynthesis based on phylogenetic analysis. Our findings provided a theoretical foundation for further research into the molecular mechanisms of flavonoid biosynthesis. Additionally, The hybrid transcriptome sequences will serve as a valuable molecular resource for the transcriptional annotation of L. coreana var. sinensis, which will contribute to the improvement of high-flavonoid materials.

ABSTRACT

The plant cuticle is an important protective barrier on the plant surface, constructed mainly by polymerized cutin matrix and a complex wax mixture. Although the pathway of plant cuticle biosynthesis has been clarified, knowledge of the transcriptional regulation network underlying fruit cuticle formation remains limited. In the present work, we discovered that tomato fruits of the NAC transcription factor SlNOR-like1 knockout mutants (nor-like1) produced by CRISPR/Cas9 [clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9] displayed reduced cutin deposition and cuticle thickness, with a microcracking phenotype, while wax accumulation was promoted. Further research revealed that SlNOR-like1 promotes cutin deposition by binding to the promoters of glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase6 (SlGPAT6; a key gene for cutin monomer formation) and CUTIN DEFICIENT2 (SlCD2; a positive regulator of cutin production) to activate their expression. Meanwhile, SlNOR-like1 inhibits wax accumulation, acting as a transcriptional repressor by targeting wax biosynthesis, and transport-related genes 3-ketoacyl-CoA synthase1 (SlKCS1), ECERIFERUM 1-2 (SlCER1-2), SlWAX2, and glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored lipid transfer protein 1-like (SlLTPG1-like). In conclusion, SlNOR-like1 executes a dual regulatory effect on tomato fruit cuticle development. Our results provide a new model for the transcriptional regulation of fruit cuticle formation.

ABSTRACT

Photo-responsive liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) have potential application value in flexible robots, artificial muscles, and microfluidic control. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the development of LCPs. However, the preparation of LCPs with continuous and controllable stepwise deformation capabilities remains a challenge. In this study, visible photo-responsive cyanostilbene monomer, UV photo-responsive azobenzene monomer, and multiple hydrogen bond crosslinker are used to prepare photo-responsive LCPs capable of achieving continuously and controllable stepwise deformation. The comprehensive investigation of the multiple light response ability and photo-induced deformation properties of these copolymers is conducted. The results reveal that in the first stage of photo-induced deformation under 470 nm blue light irradiation, the deformation angle decreases with a reduction in cyanostilbene content in the copolymer component, ranging from 40° in AZ0-CS4 to 0° in AZ4-CS0. In the second stage of photo-induced deformation under 365 nm UV irradiation, the deformation angle increases with the increase of azobenzene content, ranging from 0° of AZ0-CS4 to 89.4° of AZ4-CS0. Importantly, the deformation between these two stages occurs as a continuous process, allowing for a direct transition from the first-stage to the second-stage deformation by switching the light source from 470 to 365 nm.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of perioperative application of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) concepts on wound infections and post-operative complications in patients receiving orthopaedic surgery, to provide a theoretical basis for post-operative care. Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) on the application of ERAS to patients receiving orthopaedic surgery, published up to October 2023, were identified in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, Wanfang, China Biomedical Literature Database and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases. Literature was screened and evaluated by two reviewers based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and data were extracted from the final included articles. Data were analysed using RevMan 5.4 software. A total of 20 RCTs were included in the analysis, which included 1875 patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery, of whom 938 and 937 were in the ERAS and control groups, respectively. The analysis revealed that in patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery, implementation of ERAS in the perioperative period was associated with a significantly reduced the rate of wound infections (1.6% vs. 6.19%, risk ratio [RR]: 0.30, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.18-0.50, p < 0.001) and complication (5.12% vs. 21.88%, RR: 0.23, 95% CI: 0.17-0.32, p < 0.001) and can effectively shorten the hospital length of stay (standardised mean difference [SMD]: -2.50 days, 95% CI: -3.17 to -1.83 days, p < 0.001) compared with that of conventional care. The available evidence suggests that the implementation of ERAS in the perioperative period of patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery could effectively reduce the rate of wound infections and complications, shorten the hospital length of stay and promote the early recovery of patients.

ABSTRACT

Herein, a meta-analysis was conducted to systematically evaluate the effect of humanised care on maternal postoperative wound infections in patients who underwent caesarean section. A computerised search of Embase, Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database and Wanfang database was performed, supplemented by a manual search from database inception to September 2023, to collate randomised controlled trials (RCTs) regarding the application of humanised care during the perioperative period of caesarean section. Two researchers screened and selected studies identified according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the included literature was evaluated for quality, extracted information and required data. Data analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software. Twenty RCTs comprising 2408 patients were included. The results revealed the humanised care group had a lower incidence of postoperative wound infections (0.83% vs. 4.32%, odds ratio [OR]: 0.26, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.15-0.46, p < 0.00001) and fewer postoperative complications than the conventional care group (4.32% vs. 16.35%, OR: 0.23, 95% CI: 0.16-0.31, p < 0.00001), with lower anxiety scores (standardised mean difference [SMD]: -3.15, 95% CI: -3.90 to -2.40, p < 0.00001) and depression scores (SMD: -3.68, 95% CI: -4.49 to -2.88, p < 0.00001). The application of humanised care during the perioperative period of caesarean section can prevent postoperative wound infection, reduce postoperative complications and help alleviate maternal anxiety and depression, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the neurodevelopmental characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), analyze the correlation between neurodevelopmental indicators and cerebral blood flow (CBF), and explore the potential mechanisms of neurodevelopment in ASD children. METHODS: A retrospective study was conducted on 145 children aged 2-6 years with newly-diagnosed ASD. Scores from the Gesell Developmental Diagnosis Scale and the Autism Behavior Checklist (ABC) and CBF results were collected to compare gender differences in the development of children with ASD and analyze the correlation between CBF and neurodevelopmental indicators. RESULTS: Fine motor and personal-social development quotient in boys with ASD were lower than those in girls with ASD (P<0.05). Gross motor development quotient in ASD children was negatively correlated with CBF in the left frontal lobe (r=-0.200, P=0.016), right frontal lobe (r=-0.279, P=0.001), left parietal lobe (r=-0.208, P=0.012), and right parietal lobe (r=-0.187, P=0.025). The total ABC score was positively correlated with CBF in the left amygdala (r=0.295, P<0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Early intervention training should pay attention to gender and developmental structural characteristics for precise intervention in ASD children. CBF has the potential to become a biological marker for assessing the severity of ASD.

ABSTRACT

Cysteine is an important biological thiol and is closely related to cancer. It remains a challenge to develop a probe that can provide long-term fluorescence detection and imaging of Cys in cells as well as in living organisms. Here, a solid-state fluorophore HTPQ is combined with an acrylate group to construct a solid-state fluorescent probe HTPQC for Cys recognition. The fluorescence of the probe is quenched when the photoinduced electron transfer (PET) process is turned on and the excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) process is turned off. In the presence of Cys, an obvious solid-state fluorescence signal can be observed. The double quenching mechanism makes the probe HTPQC have the advantages of high sensitivity, good selectivity, and high contrast of biological imaging. Due to low cytotoxicity, the probe HTPQC can be used to detect exogenous and endogenous Cys in living cells and is capable of imaging over long periods of time. By making full use of long wavelengths, the probe can be applied for the detection of Cys levels in tumor mice and equipped with the ability to conduct long-term imaging in vivo.

Probiotics are widely used in aquaculture. This article aims to study the effect of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens LSG2-8 on the intestinal barrier function of Rhynchocypris lagowskii. B. amyloliquefaciens LSG2-8 were added to R. lagowskii basal diets (CK) as additives at four concentrations: 1.0 × 106 (D-6), 1.0 × 107 (D-7), 1.0 × 108 (D-8) and 1.0 × 109 (D-9) CFU g-1 by dry weight of basal diet. After a 56-day feeding experiment, the activities of intestinal digestive enzymes and immunity-related enzymes of R. lagowskii on group D-6, D-7, D-8 and D-9 diet were significantly higher than the control (P < 0.05). In molecular experiments, the authors found that the levels of TGF-ß mRNA, IL-10 mRNA, ZO-1 mRNA and claudin-3 mRNA in group D-8 R. lagowskii were significantly higher (P < 0.05) than those of the control and other groups. Furthermore, the levels of IL-1ß and IL-8 mRNA of R. lagowskii on group D-6, D-7, D-8 and D-9 diet were significantly lower than those of the control (P < 0.05). In addition, the authors found that B. amyloliquefaciens LSG2-8 can regulate the intestinal flora balance and improve the intestinal structure of R. lagowskii. In conclusion, B. amyloliquefaciens LSG2-8 can improve the intestinal barrier function of R. lagowskii and can be used as a feed additive in aquaculture.

ABSTRACT

Keeping the immune system healthy forms an effective way to fight infections. Past experience has shown that, in addition to effective interventions including vaccination, drug therapy, and non-pharmaceutical intervention (NPI), dietary nutrition and mental health are also key factors in maintaining immune system health and combating emerging and sudden outbreaks of infections. As the main dietary nutrients, vitamins are active regulators of the immune response and exert a critical impact on the immunity of the human body. Vitamin deficiency causes increased levels of inflammation and decreased immunity, which usually starts in the oral tissues. Appropriate vitamin supplementation can help the body optimize immune function, enhance oral immunity, and reduce the negative impact of pathogen infection on the human body, which makes it a feasible, effective, and universally applicable anti-infection solution. This review focuses on the immunomodulatory effects of vitamin A, B, C, D, and E and proposes that an omics-based new systemic approach will lead to a breakthrough of the limitations in traditional single-factor single-pathway research and provide the direction for the basic and applied research of vitamin immune regulation and anti-infection in all aspects.

ABSTRACT

Simultaneous ground-state cooling of multiple degenerate mechanical modes is a difficult issue in optomechanical systems, owing to the existence of the dark mode effect. Here we propose a universal and scalable method to break the dark mode effect of two degenerate mechanical modes by introducing cross-Kerr (CK) nonlinearity. At most, four stable steady states can be achieved in our scheme in the presence of the CK effect, unlike the bistable behavior of the standard optomechanical system. Under a constant input laser power, the effective detuning and mechanical resonant frequency can be modulated by the CK nonlinearity, resulting in an optimal CK coupling strength for cooling. Similarly, there will be an optimal input laser power for cooling when the CK coupling strength stays fixed. Our scheme can be extended to break the dark mode effect of multiple degenerate mechanical modes by introducing more than one CK effect. To fulfill the requirement of the simultaneous ground-state cooling of N multiple degenerate mechanical modes, N - 1 CK effects with different strengths are needed. Our proposal provides new, to the best of our knowledge. insights into dark mode control and might pave the way to manipulating multiple quantum states in a macroscopic system.

ABSTRACT

Whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) microcavities have shown significant applications in nanoparticle sensing for environmental monitoring and biological analysis. However, the enhancement of detection resolution often calls for active cavities or elaborate structural designs, leading to an increase of fabrication complexity and cost. Herein, heterodyne amplification is implemented in WGM microsensors based on backscattering detection mechanism. By interfering with an exotic reference laser, the reflecting light backscattered by perturbation targets can be strongly enlarged, yielding an easy-to-resolve and consequently sensitive microsensor. The dependence of detection laser frequency has also been characterized with the assistance of optothermal dynamics. We show that exploiting heterodyne interferometry boosts the detection of weak signals in microresonator systems and provides a fertile ground for optical microsensor development.

ABSTRACT

To study the effects of dietary methionine on growth performance, immunity, antioxidant capacity, protein metabolism, inflammatory response and apoptosis factors in Chinese mitten crabs (Eriocheir sinensis). Five diets with different methionine levels (0.63%, 0.85%, 1.06%, 1.25% and 1.47%) were fed to E. sinensis for 8 weeks. Results showed that in the 1.25% Met group, both growth performance and feed utilization were significantly increased. The crude protein content of crab muscle in the 1.06% and 1.25% Met groups was significantly higher than that in the control group. The immune and antioxidant enzyme activities, as well as gene expression levels of anti-lipopolysaccharide factor 1 (ALF1), Crustin-1, prophenoloxidase (proPO), cap 'n' collar isoform C (CncC) in 1.25% Met group were significantly higher than other groups. The activities of adenosine deaminase (ADA) and glutamate transaminase (GPT) in serum decreased first and then increased with the increase of methionine content, while the changes of ADA and GPT in hepatopancreas increased first and then decreased. 1.25% Met group exhibited significantly increased levels of GOT, GPT, and ADA compared to the control group. 1.25% Met diet group significantly up-regulated protein synthesis and anti-apoptotic factors, and significantly down-regulated inflammatory and pro-apoptotic factors in hepatopancreas. At 1.25% in the diet, methionine was found to boost E. sinensis growth, muscle protein deposition and immunity, as well as its antioxidant capacity. Combined with the above results, based on the expression of factors involved in the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway and the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, it is proved that methionine can not only promote protein metabolism, improve feed utilization, but also alleviate the inflammatory response and apoptosis caused by oxidative stress in the body.

This study evaluated the effects of dietary administration of two indigenous Bacillus (A: basal control diet; B: 0.15 g/kg of Bacillus subtilis; C: 0.1 g/kg of Bacillus subtilis and 0.05 g/kg of Bacillus licheniformis; D: 0.05 g/kg of Bacillus subtilis and 0.1 g/kg of Bacillus licheniformis; E: 0.15 g/kg of Bacillus licheniformis) on the digestive enzyme activities, intestinal morphology, intestinal immune and barrier-related genes relative expression levels, and intestinal flora of Rhynchocypris lagowskii. The results showed that the fold height, lamina propria width, and muscle layer thickness of midgut and hindgut in group C were significantly higher than that of group A (P < 0.05). The activities of protease, amylase, and lipase in group C were significantly higher than those of group A (P < 0.05). The relative expression levels of IL-1ß and IL-8 in the intestine of group C were significantly downregulated, and the relative expression levels of IL-10 and TGF-ß were significantly upregulated (P < 0.05). The relative expression levels of Claudin-2 in group A significantly increased and the relative expression levels of Claudin-4 in group A significantly reduced compared with other groups (P < 0.05). The relative expression levels of ZO-1 in groups C and D were significantly higher than those of other groups (P < 0.05). The Bacillus in the intestine of group C has the highest relative abundance among all groups. Overall, it can generally be concluded that dietary supplementation of indigenous Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis (group C) can improve the intestinal morphology, digestion, and absorption enzyme activities, enhance intestinal mucosal immunity and barrier function, and maintain the intestinal microbial balance of R. lagowskii.

ABSTRACT

The quantum transport properties of ZnO devices with five different bulk configurations are investigated with numerical methods. The calculation results reveal that the transport property at a higher energy range can be tuned by changing the length of central scattering. By substituting some Zn atoms with Cu atoms, it is found that the doped Cu atoms have an obvious effect on the quantum properties at the entire energy range investigated, and could result in different transmission. The properties of ZnO devices are also influenced by the doping positions of Cu atoms. The tuning mechanism relies on the shifting of carrier distributions in the scattering center of the device.

ABSTRACT

We report a novel, to the best of our knowledge, way to achieve phase-controlled dual-wavelength resonance based on whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) microcavities experimentally. With the help of a feedback waveguide, not only two optical pathways but also a unidirectional coupling between counter-propagating waves are formed, which is the requirement of all-optical analogues of electromagnetically induced transparency and Autler-Townes splitting. By adjusting the accumulating phase introduced from the fiber waveguide, we observe the signal lineshape changes from symmetric to asymmetric, i.e., the resonant transmission and extinction ratio of two splitting modes can be controlled, which brings a new degree of freedom to the WGM resonator system. These results may boost the development of quantum state control and pave the way for reconfiguring devices such as narrow-band filters.

ABSTRACT

Low bioavailability of topically applied drugs remains a significant challenge for long-term glaucoma therapy. To enhance drug delivery efficiency, we developed dendrimer gel particles that collectively exhibit structural benefits of dendrimer, hydrogel, and particles, using the inverse emulsion method coupled with the highly efficient aza-Michael addition reaction (IEaMA). This hierarchical approach would maximize the utility of the structural features of existing ocular drug delivery systems. We have tested the delivery efficiency and efficacy of two first-line antiglaucoma drugs, brimonidine tartrate (BT) and timolol maleate (TM), which were loaded into dendrimer gel particles of various sizes, i.e., nDHP (nano-in-nano dendrimer hydrogel particles, ~200 nm), µDHP3 (3 µm), and µDHP10 (9 µm). We found that nDHP was superior to µDHP3 and µDHP10 in terms of cytocompatibility, degradability, drug release kinetics, and corneal permeability. The nDHPs increased drug corneal permeability by 17-fold compared to plain drug solution and enabled zero-order prolonged drug release kinetics. The nDHP-based formulation demonstrated pronounced IOP-lowering effects in both single-dose test and 7-day chronic daily dosing test in both Brown Norway rats and glaucoma mice. Taken together, we have developed nano-in-nano dendrimer gel particles for precise dosing and enabling sustained and synergistic efficacy of antiglaucoma drugs, which could be clinically impactful for improving glaucoma treatment.

ABSTRACT

Aeromonas veronii is an important zoonotic pathogen that causes significant economic losses in the aquaculture industry. The use of probiotics in aquaculture is a practical alternative to antibiotics to promote animal health and aid in disease prevention. In the present study, we aimed to construct a recombinant Lactobacillus casei(surface-displayed or secretory) strain containing Malt from A. veronii TH0426 and assess its potential as an oral vaccine. A 1314-bp Malt gene fragment was successfully amplified and cloned into a prokaryotic protein expression system. Protein expression in resulting recombinant strains Lc-MCS-Malt (surface-displayed) and Lc-pPG-Malt (secretory) was then verified by Western blotting and indirect immunofluorescence. A single band was observed on the Western blots, with the molecular weight of the corresponding protein shown to be 48 kDa. Furthermore, a fluorescent signal for Lc-MCS-Malt was observed by fluorescence microscopy. At 0, 7, 16, 25, and 34 days post-immunization, tissue and blood samples were collected from common carp orally administered with the recombinant L. casei strains for immune-related index analyses. Treatment of common carp with the recombinant vaccine candidate stimulated high serum or skin mucus specific antibody titers and induced a higher lysozyme, ACP, SOD activity, while fish fed with Lc-pPG or PBS had no detectable immobilizing immune responses. Expression of IL-10, IL-1ß, TNF-α, and IFN-γ genes in the group immunized with recombinant L. casei were significantly (P < 0.05) up regulated as compared with control groups, indicating that inflammatory response and cell immune response were triggered. Results also showed that recombinant L. casei could stimulate the mucosa through colonization of the intestine, resulting in increased transcription of IL-10, IL-1ß, TNF-α, and IFN-γ. Immunity and colonization assays also showed that after 34 days of fasting, recombinant L. casei were still present in the intestines of the immunized fish. Common carp that received Lc-MCS-Malt(53.3%) and Lc-pPG-Malt (46.7%) exhibited higher survival rates than the controls after challenge with the pathogen A. veronii. Our findings suggested that recombinant L. casei can adequately protect fish and improve immunity, providing a theoretical basis for the future development of an oral Lactobacillus vaccine for use in aquaculture.

ABSTRACT

Effects of dietary supplemental stachyose on caecal skatole concentration, hepatic cytochrome P450 (CYP450, CYP) mRNA expressions and enzymatic activities in broilers were evaluated. Arbor Acre commercial mixed male and female chicks were assigned randomly into six treatments. The positive control (PC) diet was based on maize-soyabean meal, and the negative control (NC) diet was based on maize-non-soyabean meal. The NC diet was then supplemented with 4, 5, 6 and 7 g/kg stachyose to create experimental diets, named S-4, S-5, S-6 and S-7, respectively. Each diet was fed to six replicates of ten birds from days 1 to 49. On day 49, the caecal skatole concentrations in the PC, S-4, S-5, S-6 and S-7 groups were lower than those in the NC group by 42·28, 23·68, 46·09, 15·31 and 45·14 % (P < 0·01), respectively. The lowest pH value was observed in the S-5 group (P < 0·05). The stachyose-fed groups of broilers had higher caecal acetate and propionate levels compared with control groups, and propionate levels in the S-6 and S-7 groups were higher than those in the S-4 and S-5 groups (P < 0·001). The highest CYP3A4 expression was found in the S-7 group (P < 0·05), but this was not different from PC, S-4, S-5 and S-6 treatments. There was no significant difference in CYP450 (1A2, 2D6 and 3A4) enzymatic activities among the groups (P > 0·05). In conclusion, caecal skatole levels can be influenced by dietary stachyose levels, and 5 g/kg of stachyose in the diet was suggested.

ABSTRACT

Chromium (Cr) is the most common heavy metal and that becomes toxic when present at higher concentrations in aquatic environments. Allium mongolicum Regel flavonoids (AMRF) has been documented to possess detoxification, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The aim of this study was to explore the potential of dietary AMRF and Cr exposure on bioaccumulation, oxidative stress, and immune response in Ctenopharyngodon idella. After acclimation, 360 fish were randomly distributed into six groups. The fish were fed with diets supplemented with Cr and/or AMRF for 4 weeks (28 days), the Cr concentrations were 0, 120, and 240 mg/kg and the concentrations of AMRF were 0 or 40 mg/kg, respectively. The results shown that Cr accumulation in the kidney, liver, spleen, intestine and gill were significantly increased following Cr exposure, dietary AMRF supplementation attenuated the increased in Cr accumulation. Dietary AMRF supplementation significantly reduced the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and protein carbonyl (PC) in liver, spleen and gill compared with the same Cr dose groups. When fish were supplemented with AMRF significantly increased lysozyme activity (LZM), complement 3 (C3) in kidney and intestine compared with the same Cr dose groups. Serum glutamic oxalate transaminase (GOT) and glutamic pyruvate transaminase (GPT) were significantly increased following exposure to Cr. Dietary AMRF supplementation significantly decreased GOT and GPT activity in the serum. In addition, AMRF supplementation can decrease the expression of inflammatory (NF-κB p65, TNF-α and IL-1ß) and increased the expression of tight junction proteins (occludin and ZO-1) following Cr exposure in C. idella. These results indicate that AMRF has the potential to alleviate the effects of Cr toxicity in C. idella.

ABSTRACT

To explore the main target and signal pathway of Simiao Yongan Decoction in the treatment of psoriatic arthritis(PsA) by network pharmacology, so as to reveal the intervention mechanism of Simiao Yongan Decoction in the treatment of psoriatic arthritis. The platform of pharmacology technology of traditional Chinese medicine system(TCMSP) was used to predict and screen the active ingredients of Simiao Yongan Decoction, and GeneCards database was searched to obtain the disease target related to the psoriatic arthritis. Protein interaction network model was constructed with STRING platform; drug-component-target-disease network map was constructed with Cytoscape Software; Wayne Diagram of common target of Simiao Yongan Decoction and psoriasis arthritis was drawn with the help of ClusterProfiler R Software. At the same time, the genetic ontology(GO) enrichment analysis and the Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG) pathway analysis were conducted. Through database analysis, 1 128 targets related to 70 main active components of Simiao Yongan Decoction and psoriatic arthritis were selected. On this basis, the interaction network between Simiao Yongan Decoction and psoriatic arthritis was constructed, and 38 common targets were screened out. By GO and KEGG enrichment analysis, 135 signal pathways related to the main components of Simiao Yongan Decoction were selected. It was found that Simiao Yong-an Decoction may play a role in the treatment of psoriatic arthritis through antiviral effect, anti-inflammatory repair, protection of vascular endothelial cells, regulation of immunity and other multiple targets. The mechanism of Simiao Yongan Decoction in the treatment of psoriatic arthritis from multi-component, multi-target and multi-pathway was revealed, which provided a research direction for screening its subsequent clinical effect evaluation indexes.
