RESUMEN

To prepare portable and robust sensors for the sensitive and selective detection of small molecules is still a challenge for the study of electroanalytical sensors. Here, we developed a molecularly imprinted electrochemiluminescence sensor (MIECL) for the detection of spiramycin (SPI), a type of multi-component macrolide antibiotic. First, Ni-Co LDH nanoarrays were synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal method and then directly used as a sensing platform. Then, as-synthesized N-Ti3C2 was modified on the nanoarrays. Due to the functional nanomaterial N-Ti3C2 not only serving as a substrate material to enable loading a large amount of perylene tetracarboxylic acid (PTCA) but also acting as a co-reaction promoter to accelerate the decomposition of S2O82- to generate more SO4˙-, the modified nanoarrays displayed a significantly enhanced electrochemiluminescence (ECL) signal. Finally, the molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) and ECL techniques were combined to greatly improve the selectivity and sensitivity of the sensor. Under the optimal conditions, the easily constructed MIECL sensor showed good selectivity, reproducibility, and stability, and a detection limit of up to 3.14 × 10-13 M. The as-fabricated sensor was further evaluated by applying it to detect SPI in milk samples.

RESUMEN

A substitute for bisphenol A (BPA), bisphenol S (BPS) has endocrine disruptive and toxic effects and could pose potential risk on human health and the environment. Herein, we fabricated a sensitive molecularly imprinted electrochemiluminescence (MIECL) sensor for the determination of BPS. CoN nanoarray with outstanding electrical conductivity was prepared and it directly served as the sensor platform. Especially, due to the high surface area of the porous CoN nanoarray, the ECL probe of Ru(bpy)3 2+ could be absorbed on the electrode. By means of the cation exchange of Nafion membrane and utilizing tripropylamine (TPrA) as co-reactant, boosted ECL signals were obtained. Meanwhile, by combining with molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs), the constructed sensor achieved specific recognition of BPS. On the basis of the superior properties of the CoN nanoarray-based electrode, the ECL signal of the proposed sensor was linearly proportional to the BPS concentration from 2.4 × 10-9 to 5.0 × 10-5 mol L-1 (R 2 = 0.9965) with a low limit of detection (LOD) of 8.1 × 10-10 mol L-1 (S/N = 3). To test the accuracy of the proposed method, the HPLC method was adopted to analyze drinking water samples as a comparison. The t-test result proved that discrepancies between HPLC analysis and the method using the fabricated MIECL sensor were acceptable. The developed MIECL sensor with the sensitive, selective, reproducible, and stable analytical performance provides a potential pathway for the detection of BPS and other BPA substitutes in drinking water samples.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of ultrasonography-guided radiofrequency ablation combined with lauromacrogol foam sclerotherapy for the treatment of mixed thyroid nodules. METHODS: One hundred and nineteen patients with benign mixed thyroid nodules were included in this study. In all patients, radiofrequency ablation was performed on the solid components of nodules, and the cystic areas of nodules were treated with aspiration, irrigation with lauromacrogol injection and foam sclerotherapy. The nodule volume reduction ratio and thyroid-related laboratory tests were measured during operation and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after operation, and intraoperative and postoperative complications were recorded. RESULTS: A total of 136 mixed thyroid nodules from 119 patients all achieved complete ablation. At 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after treatment, the nodule volume decreased gradually while the volume reduction ratio increased gradually (P<0.05). The thyroid function of all patients returned to normal after operation, but 3 patients exhibited cyst recurrence. After the operation, no serious complications occurred. CONCLUSION: Ultrasonography-guided radiofrequency ablation combined with lauromacrogol sclerotherapy is a safe and effective method for the treatment of mixed thyroid nodules with less surgical trauma and low incidence of complications.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To observe the changes of endothelium-dependent dilation (EDD) of patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) before and after Kanli Decoction treatment. METHODS: Thirty-five CHF patients were treated with Kanli Decoction. We used color Doppler ultrasound to monitor the flow-mediated dilation (FMD), pulsatile index (PI), resistance index (RI), baseline blood flow (BF), ejection fraction (EF) before and after the treatment. RESULTS: FMD after treatment (9.26+/-3.19) were obviously higher than that before the treatment (7.06+/-2.58) (P<0.05), but BF, PI and RI were not improved. CONCLUSION: Applying color Doppler ultrasound into observation on EDD of patients suffering from CHF and treated by the Kanli Decoction shows that the CHF could be treated by traditional Chinese medicine.
