RESUMEN

Early screening and diagnosis of cervical precancerous lesions are very important to prevent cervical cancer. High-quality colposcopy images will help doctors make faster and more accurate diagnoses. To tackle the problem of low image quality caused by complex interference during colposcopy operation, this paper proposed a conditional entropy generative adversarial networks framework for image enhancement. A decomposition network based on Retinex theory is constructed to obtain the reflection images of the low-quality images, then the conditional generative adversarial network is used as the enhancement network. The low-quality images and the decomposed reflection images are both input the enhancement network for training, and the conditional entropy distance is used as a part of the loss of the conditional generative adversarial network to alleviate the over-fitting problem during the training process. The test results show that compared with published methods, the proposed method of this paper can significantly improve the image quality, and can enhance the colposcopy image while retaining image details.

RESUMEN

A bell-shaped vibratory angular rate gyro, which is inspired by the Chinese traditional bell, is a kind of axisymmetric shell resonator gyroscope. Its sensitive element is a vibratory-like Chinese traditional bell, using a piezoelectric element on the wall of the vibrator to detect the standing wave's precession to solve the input angular rate. This work mainly studies the circuit system of a bell-shaped vibratory angular rate gyro. It discusses the process of circuit system design, analysis and experiment, in detail, providing the foundation to develop a bell-shaped vibratory angular rate gyro. Since the bell-shaped resonator's curved structure has the characteristics of large noise in the piezoelectric signal and large harmonics, this paper analyzes its working and signal detection method, then gives the whole plan of the circuit system, including the drive module, the detection module and the control loop. It also studies every part of the whole system, gives a detailed design and analysis process and proves part of the circuit system using digital simulation. At the end of the article, the test result of the circuit system shows that it can remove the disadvantages of the curved structure having large noise in the piezoelectric signal and large harmonics and is more effective at solving the input angular rate.

RESUMEN

The bell-shaped vibratory angular rate gyro (abbreviated as BVG) is a novel shell vibratory gyroscope, which is inspired by the Chinese traditional bell. It sensitizes angular velocity through the standing wave precession effect. The bell-shaped resonator is a core component of the BVG and looks like the millimeter-grade Chinese traditional bell, such as QianLong Bell and Yongle Bell. It is made of Ni43CrTi, which is a constant modulus alloy. The exciting element, control element and detection element are uniformly distributed and attached to the resonator, respectively. This work presents the design, analysis and experimentation on the BVG. It is most important to analyze the vibratory character of the bell-shaped resonator. The strain equation, internal force and the resonator's equilibrium differential equation are derived in the orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system. When the input angular velocity is existent on the sensitive axis, an analysis of the vibratory character is performed using the theory of thin shells. On this basis, the mode shape function and the simplified second order normal vibration mode dynamical equation are obtained. The coriolis coupling relationship about the primary mode and secondary mode is established. The methods of the signal processing and control loop are presented. Analyzing the impact resistance property of the bell-shaped resonator, which is compared with other shell resonators using the Finite Element Method, demonstrates that BVG has the advantage of a better impact resistance property. A reasonable means of installation and a prototypal gyro are designed. The gyroscopic effect of the BVG is characterized through experiments. Experimental results show that the BVG has not only the advantages of low cost, low power, long work life, high sensitivity, and so on, but, also, of a simple structure and a better impact resistance property for low and medium angular velocity measurements.

RESUMEN

Operational optimal control (OOC) is an essential component of wastewater treatment process (WWTP). The control variables usually are high-dimensional, nonlinear, and strongly coupled, which can easily fail traditional optimization control methods. Mathematically, these operational variables usually are in the unknown low-dimensional space embedded in the high-dimensional space. Therefore, the OOC problem of WWTP can be resolved as an optimization challenge involving low-dimensional space, and the unknown low-dimensional space is presented in the form of a set of controlled variables in a high-dimensional space, which is normal in real-world industries. Here, a dimension-reducible data-driven optimization control framework for WWTP is proposed. Considering the difficulty in elucidating the whole space of set points, a neural network is designed to approximate the constraint relationship between control variables. The search process is based on optimization methods in low-dimensional space embedded into Euclidean spaces. Furthermore, the convergence of the process is ensured via mathematical analysis. Finally, the experimental simulation of wastewater treatment revealed that this approach is effective for an optimal solution in control systems.

RESUMEN

Evodiamine (EVO) is a bioactive alkaloid that exerts antitumor activity in various cancers, including prostate cancer (PCa). In this paper, we further investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the anti-PCa effect of evodiamine. In the present study, cell proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion were assessed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT), colony formation, and transwell assays, respectively. Animal studies were used to evaluate the effect of evodiamine on the tumorigenicity of LNCaP cells in vivo. The expression levels of steroid receptor coactivator (Src), androgene receptor (AR), and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) were detected by western blot, quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) or ELISA assay. Association between Src and AR was examined by Co-Immunoprecipitation (CoIP). The impact of evodiamine on AR-mediated transcriptional activity was confirmed by dual-luciferase reporter assay. The results showed that evodiamine reduced LNCaP and 22Rv1 cell proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion induced by dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in vitro, as well as diminished tumor growth in vivo. Mechanistically, evodiamine directly targeted Src and reduced DHT-induced Src activation. Moreover, the restoration of Src activation abolished evodiamine-mediated suppression of proliferation, migration, and invasion of DHT-treated LNCaP and 22Rv1 cells. Furthermore, evodiamine inhibited DHT-induced AR transcriptional activity through targeting Src. As a conclusion, our findings demonstrate the antitumor property of evodiamine in PCa by blocking AR transcriptional activity through targeting Src and provide a rationale for developing evodiamine as a promising antitumor agent against PCa.

RESUMEN

Laryngeal carcinoma (LC) is one of the common human cancer types. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) were reported to be the essential regulators in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. It was reported that miR-206 expression was reduced in various neoplastic diseases. However, the role and functional mechanism of miR-206 in LC progression remain unclear. In this research, miR-206 was found to be associated with tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) staging. In addition, the area under the curve (AUC) of miR-206 was 0.902 for diagnosis of LC and 0.854 for differential diagnosis of stage I-II and stage III-IV patients. Low expression of miR-206 was associated with poor prognosis of LC patients. miR-206 expression was an independent factor affecting the prognosis of LC patients, as revealed by the Cox regression analysis. In vitro experiments demonstrated that miR-206 overexpression reduced cell multiplication, invasion, and migration and increased cell apoptosis in LC cells. Moreover, SOX9 was a target of miR-206, and miR-206 negatively regulated SOX9 expression. Collectively, miR-206 might be a promising biomarker with diagnostic and prognostic value for LC, and the miR-206/SOX9 axis might be a candidate target for LC therapy.
