RESUMEN
A one-pot, two-step method for the preparation of degradable PEG is here presented. The full process addresses the requirements imposed by green chemistry and involves the use of a single and nontoxic non-eutectic mixture of organocatalysts. The strategy relies on the polycondensation of PEG800 after its functionalization by bio-derived 5-membered γ-butyrolactone.
RESUMEN
The association of kinetic studies, DFT calculations and 1H-7Li NMR analyses allowed the control of the cyclo-ATRP of PEG9DMA and the production of polymethacrylate pseudo crown-ethers of various molar masses. Their potential to act as a solid-state polymer electrolyte in Li-ion batteries has been highlighted and may come from the supramolecular organization of the cyclo-PEG forming a Li+ diffusion channel.
RESUMEN
We report on a straightforward strategy to fabricate bioactive glycosylated gold nanoparticles via a combination of RAFT polymerization, carbohydrate ligation through reductive amination and thiol-gold self-assembly. This approach is used for the design of gold nanoparticles decorated with the complex sialylated glycan Neu5Ac-α-2-6-Gal, and we demonstrate multivalent and specific recognition between the nanoparticles, lectins and hemagglutinin on the surface of the influenza virus.
