RESUMEN

Strigolactones (SLs) are a class of phytohormones that regulate plant shoot branching and adventitious root development. However, little is known regarding the role of SLs in controlling the behavior of the smallest unit of the organism, the single cell. Here, taking advantage of a classic single-cell model offered by the cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) fiber cell, we show that SLs, whose biosynthesis is fine-tuned by gibberellins (GAs), positively regulate cell elongation and cell wall thickness by promoting the biosynthesis of very long-chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) and cellulose, respectively. Furthermore, we identified two layers of transcription factors (TFs) involved in the hierarchical regulation of this GA-SL crosstalk. The top-layer TF GROWTH-REGULATING FACTOR 4 (GhGRF4) directly activates expression of the SL biosynthetic gene DWARF27 (D27) to increase SL accumulation in fiber cells and GAs induce GhGRF4 expression. SLs induce the expression of four second-layer TF genes (GhNAC100-2, GhBLH51, GhGT2, and GhB9SHZ1), which transmit SL signals downstream to two ketoacyl-CoA synthase genes (KCS) and three cellulose synthase (CesA) genes by directly activating their transcription. Finally, the KCS and CesA enzymes catalyze the biosynthesis of VLCFAs and cellulose, respectively, to regulate development of high-grade cotton fibers. In addition to providing a theoretical basis for cotton fiber improvement, our results shed light on SL signaling in plant development at the single-cell level.

BACKGROUND: Modern perioperative guidelines encourage drinking oral carbohydrates 2 h before management. Nevertheless, research on the safety of preoperative carbohydrate drinks, particularly in extremely elderly patients is lacking. We aimed to evaluate the safety of carbohydrate drinks 2 h before surgery in extremely elderly patients (≥ 80 years) using gastric ultrasonography. METHODS: We conducted a randomized prospective comparative study of 70 patients aged over 80 years who were scheduled for total knee arthroplasty, hip fracture or humerus fracture surgery. These patients were randomly assigned to the carbohydrate group (n = 35), which fasted from midnight, except for drinking 355 mL of a carbohydrate-containing fluid 2 h before surgery, or the fasting group (n = 35), which fasted from midnight and drank no fluid before surgery. The primary outcome of the study was the cross-sectional area (CSA) of the gastric antrum in the right lateral decubitus position (RLDP) before surgery. The secondary outcomes included CSA in the supine position, intraoperative blood glucose levels and their variability coefficients, Perlas grade, and the visual analog scale of subjective feelings. RESULTS: The CSA in the RLDP and supine positions revealed no differences between the carbohydrate and fasting groups at 0 h preoperatively (P > 0.05). In the qualitative assessment, preoperative 0-h Perlas grading did not differ significantly between the groups (P > 0.05). From 2 h before surgery to transfer out of the post-anesthesia care unit, the average blood glucose level of patients in the carbohydrate group was significantly higher than that in the fasting group (P < 0.001) but remained within the normal range. Moreover, the blood glucose variability coefficient was significantly lower in the carbohydrate group than in the fasting group (P = 0.009). Oral intake of 355 mL carbohydrates before surgery significantly relieved patients' feelings (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: Preoperative consumption of carbohydrate drinks 2 h before surgery is safe in "healthy" extremely elderly patients. In addition, preoperative drinking has potential value in maintaining ideal blood glucose levels and stable blood glucose fluctuations perioperatively and improving subjective perceptions of preoperative preparation. This finding warrants further investigation in clinical practice. TRIAL REGISTRATION: Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (Registration Number ChiCTR1900024812), first registered on 29/07/2019.

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the clinical phenotype and genetic etiology of Glanzmann's thrombasthenia in a consanguineous pedigree. Methods: Clinical data and ancillary test results were collected from pedigrees with Glanzmann's thrombasthenia. High-throughput sequencing was used to detect variants in the proband. Candidate variants were verified by Sanger sequencing. Results: Two patients in the pedigree were homozygous for the c.2248C>T (p. Arg750Ter) variant of the ITGB3 gene. The parents and maternal grandmother, who didn't have any recurrent haemorrhage, were found to carry a heterozygous c.2248C>T variant of the ITGB3 gene, which was absent in the aunt and paternal grandmother. Conclusion: The homozygous variant c.2248C>T (p. Arg750Ter) in the ITGB3 gene underlies the disease in this pedigree. This diagnosis will facilitate genetic counselling in this pedigree for better patient management and life guidance.

Efficient ultraviolet (UV) electroluminescent materials remain a great challenge, since short peak wavelength <400 nm and narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM) <50 nm are simultaneously required. In this sense, multi-resonance (MR) thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters featuring narrow-band emissions hold the promise for UV applications. Herein, a novel MR-TADF skeleton featuring carbazole-phosphine oxide (P=O) fused aromatics is developed to construct the first two UV MR emitters named CzP2PO and tBCzP2PO. In addition to synergistic resonance effects of P=O and N atom, sp3 -hybrid P atom renders the curved polycyclic planes of CzP2PO and tBCzP2PO, giving rise to their narrowband UV emissions with peak wavelengths <390 nm and FWHM<35 nm. Besides configuration quasi-planarization for radiation enhancement and quenching suppression, P=O moiety further enhances singlet-triplet coupling to facilitate reverse intersystem crossing, resulting in the state-of-the-art photoluminescence quantum yield of 62 % in tBCzP2PO doped films. As consequence, tBCzP2PO endowed its UV organic light-emitting diodes with the peak at 382 nm and FWHM of 32 nm, and especially the record-high external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 15.1 % among all kinds of UV devices. Our results demonstrate great potential of P=O based MR emitters in practical applications including optoelectronics, biology and medicine science.

BACKGROUND: Heat stress is a major abiotic stress affecting the growth and development of plants, including crop species. Plants have evolved various adaptive strategies to help them survive heat stress, including maintaining membrane stability, encoding heat shock proteins (HSPs) and ROS-scavenging enzymes, and inducing molecular chaperone signaling. Brassinosteroids (BRs) are phytohormones that regulate various aspects of plant development, which have been implicated also in plant responses to heat stress, and resistance to heat in Arabidopsis thaliana is enhanced by adding exogenous BR. Brassinazole resistant 1 (BZR1), a transcription factor and positive regulator of BR signal, controls plant growth and development by directly regulating downstream target genes. However, the molecular mechanism at the basis of BR-mediated heat stress response is poorly understood. Here, we report the identification of a new factor critical for BR-regulated heat stress tolerance. RESULTS: We identified ERF49 in a genetic screen for proteins required for BR-regulated gene expression. We found that ERF49 is the direct target gene of BZR1 and that overexpressing ERF49 enhanced sensitivity of transgenic plants to heat stress. The transcription levels of heat shock factor HSFA2, heat stress-inducible gene DREB2A, and three heat shock protein (HSP) were significantly reduced under heat stress in ERF49-overexpressed transgenic plants. Transcriptional activity analysis in protoplast revealed that BZR1 inhibits ERF49 expression by binding to the promoter of ERF49. Our genetic analysis showed that dominant gain-of-function brassinazole resistant 1-1D mutant (bzr1-1D) exhibited lower sensitivity to heat stress compared with wild-type. Expressing ERF49-SRDX (a dominant repressor reporter of ERF49) in bzr1-1D significantly decreased the sensitivity of ERF49-SRDX/bzr1-1D transgenic plants to heat stress compared to bzr1-1D. CONCLUSIONS: Our data provide clear evidence that BR increases thermotolerance of plants by repressing the expression of ERF49 through BZR1, and this process is dependent on the expression of downstream heat stress-inducible genes. Taken together, our work reveals a novel molecular mechanism mediating plant response to high temperature stress.

Aconitum carmichaelii Debeaux is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb that has been utilized for approximately 2,000 years. However, as cultivation has increased, there have been more reports of A. carmichaelii infections caused by four major pathogenic fungal species, Fusarium oxysporum, F. solani, Mucor circinelloides, and Sclerotium rolfsii, resulting in increased disease incidences and limited production and quality. To detect these infections, we developed a LAMP-based toolbox in this study. The cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene, translation elongation factor-1α (EF-1α), internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions of rDNA, and alcohol dehydrogenase 1 (ADH1) gene, respectively, were used to design species-specific LAMP primer sets for F. oxysporum, F. solani, S. rolfsii, and M. circinelloides. The results showed that the LAMP-based toolbox was effective at detecting pathogens in soil and plant materials. We also used this toolbox to investigate pathogen infection in the main planting regions of A. carmichaelii. Before harvesting, F. oxysporum, M. circinelloides, and S. rolfsii were commonly found in the planting fields and in infected A. carmichaelii plants. Therefore, the toolbox we developed will be useful for tracking these infections, as well as for disease control in A. carmichaelii.

The development of the global economy in recent years, environmental problems, greenhouse effect, and so forth have been of concern for countries all over the world. The key for solving the greenhouse effect is the reduction of CO2. With the development of photocatalytic reduction of CO2, hybrid photocatalytic nanostructures composed of noble metals and plasmonic semiconductors are being widely studied. In this work, S-scheme photocatalysts with a g-C3N4/WO3·H2O/Pd heterostructure was constructed by introducing ultrathin Pd nanosheets into the optimized 2D/2D g-C3N4/WO3·H2O binary system. The S-scheme charge transfer generated by the matched band gap of g-C3N4 and WO3·H2O can effectually improve the electron transfer rate and the redox ability of photogenerated carriers. The introduction of Pd nanosheets can inject a large number of hot electrons into the semiconductor on the basis of the S-scheme heterojunction to participate in the reaction. The S-scheme electron transfer method is used to improve the utilization rate of thermionic electrons and achieve the effect of widening the near-infrared-light absorption area of the composite material. Moreover, the reaction was carried out in water without the addition of any sacrificial agent, which can better reflect the green environmental protection of the experiment. This investigation will promote the broad-spectrum application of new and environment-friendly thermoelectron-assisted S-scheme photocatalysts, and on this basis, the possible reaction mechanism is discussed.

Defect engineering can be used as a potential tool to activate metal-organic frameworks by regulating the pore structure, electronic properties, and catalytic activity. Herein, linker defects were effectively controlled by adjusting the amount of formic acid, and UiO-67 with different CO2 reduction capabilities was obtained. Among them, UiO-67-200 had the highest ability to selectively reduce CO2 to CO (12.29 µmol g-1 h-1). On the one hand, the results based on time-resolved photoluminescence decay curves and photochemical experiments revealed that UiO-67-200 had the highest charge separation efficiency. On the other hand, the linker defects affected the band structure of UiO-67 by changing the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) based on the density functional theory and UV-vis spectra. Hence, the proper linker defects enhanced the ligand-to-metal charge transfer process by promoting the transfer of electrons between the highest occupied molecular orbital and LUMO. Additionally, in situ Fourier transform infrared spectra and 13CO2 labeling experiments also indicated that COOH* was an important intermediate for CO formation and that CO originated from the photoreduction of CO2.

BACKGROUND: Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) are a group of microbial metabolites of undigested dietary fiber, protein and unabsorbed amino acids in the colon, well-known for their gut health promoting benefits. A relatively high intestinal level of valerate was found in the healthy human subjects. However, the intestinal protection effects and the underlying mechanism of valerate are waiting to be verified and elucidated. METHODS AND RESULTS: In the present study, valerate, a SCFAs mainly converted from proteins or amino acids, was demonstrated to promote intestinal barrier function at its physiological concentrations of 0-4 mM in the Caco-2 cell monolayer model of intestinal barrier using transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) assay and paracellular permeability assay. Valerate achieved the maximum increase in the TEER at 2 mM and reduced the paracellular permeability. Its intestinal barrier function promoting activity is similar to that of butyrate, with a broader range of effective concentrations than the later. Through western blot analysis, this activity is linked to the valerate-induced AMPK activation and tight junctions (TJs) assembly, but not to the reinforced expression of TJs related proteins. CONCLUSIONS: It provides direct experimental evidence supporting valerate's function in intestinal health, implying the once under-valued function of valerate and its amino acid precursors. The valerate's role in regulating intestine homeostasis and its possible synergetic effects with other SCFAs warranted to be further investigated.

Free space optical system design and performance analysis are highly related to channel statistics obtained by the channel parameter estimation. The accurate estimation of the channel parameters and scintillation index needs to consider the photoelectric detection noise at the receiving end. We propose a maximum likelihood (ML) method for estimating the parameters of a gamma-gamma fading channel affected by photoelectric detection noise. The Newton-Raphson method and expectation maximization (EM) algorithm are developed to compute the ML estimates of atmospheric turbulence fading parameters and variance of the detection noise. We also derive the Cramer-Rao bound for the unknown parameters. By way of the mean square estimation errors, our estimation technique performance is compared with existing methods of the estimation which ignore detection noise. Based on the measured channel and detection noise data under three weather conditions, it is verified that the proposed EM algorithm, considering the influence of detection noise, can significantly improve the estimation accuracy of atmospheric turbulence fading parameters.

BACKGROUND: To investigate the association between low-carbohydrate-diet (LCD) score and cognitive performance based on a nationally representative sample aged ≥ 60 years from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database. METHODS: This cross-sectional study included 2,537 eligible older adults from the NHANES database 2011-2014. The Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD) word learning subtest, Animal Fluency Test (AFT), and Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST) were used to assess the cognitive performance. All participants were categorized into the low and normal cognitive performance groups. The univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were utilized to evaluate the association of LCD score with cognitive performance. Stratified analyses based on age, body mass index (BMI), gender, marital status, education level was conducted. RESULTS: After adjusting age, education level, marital status, household income, history of diabetes, history of hypertension, history of congestive heart failure, history of coronary heart disease, history of heart disease, history of stroke, magnesium and the using of psychotropic medication, LCD score was correlated with the CERAD word learning subtest. The associations between LCD score and AFT, DSST were not statistically significant. Moreover, LCD score was also related to cognitive performance among individuals who were aged < 65 years or BMI 25-30 kg/m2 or was married/separated, or had an education level of high school or above. CONCLUSION: The adherences to LCD might be associated with the risk of cognitive performance among older adults. Further large-scale cohort studies are needed to test the causal relationship of LCD and cognitive performance.

PURPOSE: This study aims to analyze the clinical application value of shear wave elastography (SWE) technique for early diagnosis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). METHODS: Diabetic patients hospitalized in the Department of Endocrinology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from August 2021 to February 2022 were enrolled as DPN group (n=38) and non-DPN group (n=35) based on the neurophysiological examination results. 30 healthy subjects were recruited as the control group during the same period. Ultrasound examination of the tibial nerve and related laboratory tests were examined and collected for the total 103 study subjects. Statistical analysis of the collected data, and the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve for determination of the optimal cut-off values of mean stiffness of tibial nerve to detect DPN, with determination of area under curve (AUC), specificity, sensitivity, and Youden index.P value < 0.05 is considered statistically significant. RESULTS: Gender, age and BMI differences among three groups were insignificant (P>0.05). The difference of serological indicators between DPN and non-DPN groups was also not found (P>0.05), whereas longer duration of diabetes was observed in DPN group as compared to non-DPN group. As to the ultra-sound relevant parameters, the cross-sectional area and elastic modulus of the tibial nerve in both lower extremities among these three groups were not significantly different (Oneway ANOVA analysis) although the differences were indeed observed if we compared DPN group exclusively with non-DPN group, or compared non-DPN group with healthy group, or compared DPN group with healthy group (t test). Additionally, the mean elasticity (Emean) cut-off value for the diagnosis of DPN was preferably taken as 67.55 kPa. CONCLUSION: SWE has unique advantages in early detection and diagnosis of DPN, which deserve further research.

In order to improve the accuracy of signal recovery after transmitting over atmospheric turbulence channel, a deep-learning-based signal detection method is proposed for a faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) hybrid modulated optical wireless communication (OWC) system. It takes advantage of the long short-term memory (LSTM) network in the recurrent neural network (RNN) to alleviate the interdependence problem of adjacent symbols. Moreover, an LSTM attention decoder is constructed by employing the attention mechanism, which can alleviate the shortcomings in conventional LSTM. The simulation results show that the bit error rate (BER) performance of the proposed LSTM attention neural network is 1 dB better than that of the back propagation (BP) neural network and outperforms by 2.5 dB when compared with the maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) detection method.

This study aims to develop a simple, sensitive, low-cost, environmentally friendly and flexible surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) platform, combined with a portable Raman spectrometer, for the rapid and on-site SERS detection of bacteria. Commercial tobacco packaging paper (TPP) with little background interference was used as a loading medium that effectively adsorbed Au nanoparticles and provided sufficient "hot spots". This Au-tobacco packaging paper (Au-TPP) substrate used as a flexible SERS platform can maximize sample collection by wiping irregular surfaces, and was successfully applied to the on-site and rapid detection of pathogenic bacteria. Raman fingerprints of pathogenic bacteria can be obtained by SERS detection of spiked pork using wipeable Au-TPP, which verifies its value in practical applications. The results collected by SERS were further verified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) results. It showed several advantages in on-site SERS detection, including accurate discrimination, simple preparation, easy operation, good sensitivity, accuracy and reproducibility. This study indicates that the established flexible SERS platform has good practical applications in pathogenic bacterial identification and other rapid detections.

The rapid identification of bacterial antibiotic susceptibility is pivotal to the rational administration of antibacterial drugs. In this study, cefotaxime (CTX)-derived resistance in Salmonella typhimurium (abbr. CTXr-S. typhimurium) during 3 months of exposure was rapidly recorded using a portable Raman spectrometer. The molecular changes that occurred in the drug-resistant strains were sensitively monitored in whole cells by label-free surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Various degrees of resistant strains could be accurately discriminated by applying multivariate statistical analyses to bacterial SERS profiles. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values showed a positive linear correlation with the relative Raman intensities of I990/I1348, and the R2 reached 0.9962. The SERS results were consistent with the data obtained by MIC assays, mutant prevention concentration (MPC) determinations, and Kirby-Bauer antibiotic susceptibility tests (K-B tests). This preliminary proof-of-concept study indicates the high potential of the SERS method to supplement the time-consuming conventional method and help alleviate the challenges of antibiotic resistance in clinical therapy.

RESUMEN

Ginsenoside Rg1, a traditional Chinese medicine monomer, has been shown to have antidepressant effects. We previously found that Rg1 exerts antidepressant effects by improving the gap junction channels (GJCs) dysfunction; however, the downstream mechanisms through which Rg1 ameliorates GJC dysfunction remain unclear. Since hemichannels directly release glutamate, GJC dysfunction decreases the expression levels of glutamate transporters in astrocytes, and glutamatergic system dysfunction plays an essential role in the pathogenesis of depression. The glutamatergic system may be a potential downstream target of Rg1 that exerts antidepressant effects. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to determine the downstream mechanisms by which Rg1 ameliorated GJC dysfunction and exerted its antidepressant effects. Corticosterone (CORT) is used to mimic high glucocorticoid levels in patients with depression in vitro. Primary cortical astrocytes were isolated and phosphorylation of connexin43 (Cx43) as well as the functions of hemichannels, GJCs, and the glutamatergic system were evaluated after drug treatment. Rg1 pretreatment reversed the anomalous activation of Cx43 phosphorylation as well as the dysfunction of hemichannels, GJCs, and the glutamatergic system induced by CORT. These results suggest that Rg1 can ameliorate CORT-induced dysfunction of the glutamatergic system in astrocytes by potentially reducing Cx43 phosphorylation and inhibiting opening of hemichannels, thereby improving GJC dysfunction.

Aspergillus flavus and Aflatoxins in grain crops give rise to a serious threat to food security and cause huge economic losses. In particular, aflatoxin B1 has been identified as a Class I carcinogen to humans by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). Compared with conventional methods, Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) has paved the way for the detection of Aspergillus flavus and Aflatoxins in grain crops as it is a rapid, nondestructive, and sensitive analytical method. In this work, the rapid detection of Aspergillus flavus and quantification of Aflatoxin B1 in grain crops were performed by using a portable Raman spectrometer combined with colloidal Au nanoparticles (AuNPs). With the increase of the concentration of Aspergillus flavus spore suspension in the range of 102-108 CFU/mL, the better the combination of Aspergillus flavus spores and AuNPs, the better the enhancement effect of AuNPs solution on the Aspergillus flavus. A series of different concentrations of aflatoxin B1 methanol solution combined with AuNPs were determined based on SERS and their spectra were similar to that of solid powder. Moreover, the characteristic peak increased gradually with the increase of concentration in the range of 0.0005-0.01 mg/L and the determination limit was 0.0005 mg/L, which was verified by HPLC in ppM concentration. This rapid detection method can greatly shorten the detection time from several hours or even tens of hours to a few minutes, which can help to take effective measures to avoid causing large economic losses.

Grain crops are easily contaminated by fungi due to the existence of various microorganisms in the storage process, especially in humid and warm storage conditions. Compared with conventional methods, surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has paved the way for the detection of fungi in grain crops as it is a rapid, nondestructive, and sensitive analytical method. In this work, Aspergillus niger, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Fusarium moniliforme and Trichoderma viride in grain crops were detected using colloidal Au nanoparticles and SERS. The results indicated that different fungi showed different Raman phenotypes, which could be easily characterized by SERS. Combined with multivariate statistical analysis, identification of a variety of fungi could be accomplished rapidly and accurately. This research can be applied for the rapid detection of fungi in the food and biomedical industries.

Rapid detection and classification of cancer cells with label-free and non-destructive methods are helpful for rapid screening of cancer patients in clinical settings. Here, surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) was used for rapid, unlabeled, and non-destructive detection of seven different cell types, including human cancer cells and non-tumorous cells. Au nanoparticles were used as enhanced substrates and directly added to cell surfaces. The single cellular SERS signals could be easily and stably collected in several minutes, and the cells maintained structural integrity over one hour. Different types of cells had unique Raman phenotypes. By applying multivariate statistical analysis to the Raman phenotypes, the cancer cells and non-tumorous cells were accurately identified. The high sensitivity enabled this method to discriminate subtle molecular changes in different cell types, and the accuracy reached 81.2% with principal components analysis and linear discriminant analysis. The technique provided a rapid, unlabeled, and non-destructive method for the detection and identification of various cancer types.

Excitatory toxicity is still a hot topic in the study of ischemic stroke, and related research has focused mainly on neurons. Adenosine is an important neuromodulator that is known as a "biosignature" in the central nervous system (CNS). The protective effect of exogenous adenosine on neurons has been confirmed, but its mechanism remains elusive. In this study, astrocytes were pretreated with adenosine, and the effects of an A2a receptor (A2aR) inhibitor (SCH58261) and A2b receptor (A2bR) inhibitor (PSB1115) on excitatory glutamate were investigated. An oxygen glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R) and glutamate model was generated in vitro. Post-model assessment included expression levels of glutamate transporters (glt-1), gap junction protein (Cx43) and glutamate receptor (AMPAR), Na+-K+-ATPase activity, and diffusion distance of dyes. Glutamate and glutamine contents were determined at different time points. The results showed that (1) adenosine could improve the function of Na+-K+-ATPase, upregulate the expression of glt-1, and enhance the synthesis of glutamine in astrocytes. This effect was associated with A2aR activation but not with A2bR activation. (2) Adenosine could inhibit the expression of gap junction protein (Cx43) and reduce glutamate diffusion. Inhibition of A2aR attenuated adenosine inhibition of gap junction intercellular communication (GJIC) in the OGD/R model, while it enhanced adenosine inhibition of GJIC in the glutamate model, depending on the glutamate concentration. (3) Adenosine could cause AMPAR gradually entered the nucleus from the cytoplasm, thereby reducing the expression of AMPAR on the cell membrane. Taken together, the results indicate that adenosine plays a role of anti-excitatory toxicity effect in protection against neuronal death and the functional recovery of ischemic stroke mainly by targeting astrocytes, which are closely related to A2aR. The present study provided a scientific basis for adenosine prevention and ischemic stroke treatment, thereby providing a new approach for alleviating ischemic stroke.
