OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore the association between kidney function and the risk of relapse as well as prognosis in patients with aquaporin-4 (AQP4)-immunoglobulin G (IgG)-seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). METHODS: We focused on patients experiencing their first onset of AQP4-IgG-seropositive NMOSD. Data on demographics, disease characteristics, and kidney function were collected, with the primary assessment utilizing the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). Associations between eGFR and relapse risk were examined using multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression models. Additionally, logistic regression models were employed to evaluate the impact of eGFR on clinical prognosis. RESULTS: Our analysis revealed glomerular hyperfiltration and impaired urine concentrating ability in patients with AQP4-IgG-seropositive NMOSD. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression demonstrated a positive correlation between eGFR and the risk of relapse. Logistic regression analysis further identified higher eGFR as an independent predictor of disease relapse and prognosis in AQP4-IgG-seropositive NMOSD patients. CONCLUSIONS: The eGFR of patients with AQP4-IgG-seropositive NMOSD emerges as a potential diagnostic biomarker for this condition, indicating its significance in predicting both relapse risk and clinical prognosis.

Zika virus (ZIKV) is one of the mosquito-borne flaviviruses that exhibits a unique tropism to nervous systems and is associated with Guillain-Barre syndrome and congenital Zika syndrome (CZS). Dengue virus (DENV) and yellow fever virus (YFV), the other two mosquito-borne flaviviruses, have also been circulating for a long time and cause severe diseases, such as dengue hemorrhagic fever and yellow fever, respectively. However, there are no safe and effective antiviral drugs approved for the treatment of infections or coinfections of these flaviviruses. Here, we found that zafirlukast, a pregnancy-safe leukotriene receptor antagonist, exhibited potent antiviral activity against infections of ZIKV strains from different lineages in different cell lines, as well as against infections of DENV-2 and YFV 17D. Mechanistic studies demonstrated that zafirlukast directly and irreversibly inactivated these flaviviruses by disrupting the integrity of the virions, leading to the loss of viral infectivity, hence inhibiting the entry step of virus infection. Considering its efficacy against flaviviruses, its safety for pregnant women, and its neuroprotective effect, zafirlukast is a promising candidate for prophylaxis and treatment of infections or coinfections of ZIKV, DENV, and YFV, even in pregnant women.

Human enteroviruses are the major pathogens causing hand-foot-and-mouth disease in infants and young children throughout the world, and infection with enterovirus is also associated with severe complications, such as aseptic meningitis and myocarditis. However, there are no antiviral drugs available to treat enteroviruses infection at present. In this study, we found that 4'-fluorouridine (4'-FlU), a nucleoside analog with low cytotoxicity, exhibited broad-spectrum activity against infections of multiple enteroviruses with EC50 values at low micromolar levels, including coxsackievirus A10 (CV-A10), CV-A16, CV-A6, CV-A7, CV-B3, enterovirus A71 (EV-A71), EV-A89, EV-D68, and echovirus 6. With further investigation, the results indicated that 4'-FlU directly interacted with the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase of enterovirus, the 3D pol, and impaired the polymerase activity of 3D pol, hence inhibiting viral RNA synthesis and significantly suppressing viral replication. Our findings suggest that 4'-FlU could be promisingly developed as a broad-spectrum direct-acting antiviral agent for anti-enteroviruses therapy.

Sleep quality is an important issue of public concern. This study, combined with sensor application, aims to explore the determinants of perceived comfort when using smart bedding to provide empirical evidence for improving sleep quality. This study was conducted in a standard sleep laboratory in Quanzhou, China, from March to April of 2023. Perceived comfort was evaluated using the Subjective Lying Comfort Evaluation on a seven-point rating scale, and body pressure distribution was measured using a pressure sensor. Correlation analysis was employed to analyze the relationship between perceived comfort and body pressure, and multiple linear regression was used to identify the factors of perceived comfort. The results showed that body pressure was partially correlated with perceived comfort, and sleep posture significantly influenced perceived comfort. In addition, height, weight, and body mass index are common factors that influence comfort. The findings highlight the importance of optimizing the angular range of boards based on their comfort performance to adjust sleeping posture and equalize pressure distribution. Future research should consider aspects related to the special needs of different populations (such as height and weight), as well as whether users are elderly and whether they have particular diseases. The design optimization of the bed board division and mattress softness, based on traditional smart bedding, can improve comfort and its effectiveness in reducing health risks and enhancing health status.

Photon counting is a promising solution to detecting low-power optical signals for ultraviolet (UV) communications in the forthcoming sixth-generation (6G) network. Different from the conventional additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) model, the discrete signal-dependent Poisson shot noise poses challenges to the signal processing of photon-counting systems. In this paper, a joint design of precoder and equalizer is proposed for photon-counting multiple-input multiple-output (PhC-MIMO) UV systems. To circumvent the impasse arising from the signal-dependent shot noise, we propose an alternating optimization algorithm based on the minimum mean squared error (MMSE) criterion. The algorithm decomposes the joint design into convex subproblems solved in an alternating manner, and guarantees at least a stationary point solution. Numerical results corroborate that the proposed system exhibits robustness to turbulence fading and offers high throughput while mitigating the adverse effect of background radiation noise. Specifically, the 32 × 8 system can achieve a bit error rate (BER) of 10-5 at the signal energy of -154.0 dBJ per bit under strong Gamma-Gamma turbulence with the scintillation index (S.I.) of 3.

Cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) is a prominent cause of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and a leading cause of vascular dementia, affecting small penetrating vessels of the brain. Despite current advances in genetic susceptibility studies, challenges remain in defining the causative genes and the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. Here, we reported that the ARHGEF15 gene was a causal gene linked to autosomal dominant inherited CSVD. We identified one heterozygous nonsynonymous mutation of the ARHGEF15 gene that cosegregated completely in two families with CSVD, and a heterozygous nonsynonymous mutation and a stop-gain mutation in two individuals with sporadic CSVD, respectively. Intriguingly, clinical imaging and pathological findings displayed severe osteoporosis and even osteoporotic fractures in all the ARHGEF15 mutation carriers. In vitro experiments indicated that ARHGEF15 mutations resulted in RhoA/ROCK2 inactivation-induced F-actin cytoskeleton disorganization in vascular smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells and osteoblast dysfunction by inhibiting the Wnt/ß-catenin signaling pathway in osteoblast cells. Furthermore, Arhgef15-e(V368M)1 transgenic mice developed CSVD-like pathological and behavioral phenotypes, accompanied by severe osteoporosis. Taken together, our findings provide strong evidence that loss-of-function mutations of the ARHGEF15 gene cause CSVD accompanied by osteoporotic fracture.

Neural networks have been proven to be vulnerable to adversarial examples; these are examples that can be recognized by both humans and neural networks, although neural networks give incorrect predictions. As an intriguing property of neural networks, adversarial examples pose a serious threat to the secure application of neural networks. In this article, we present another intriguing property of neural networks: the fact that well-trained models believe some examples to be recognizable objects (often with high confidence), while humans cannot recognize such examples. We refer to these as "fooling examples". Specifically, we take inspiration from the construction of adversarial examples and develop an iterative method for generating fooling examples. The experimental results show that fooling examples can not only be easily generated, with a success rate of nearly 100% in the white-box scenario, but also exhibit strong transferability across different models in the black-box scenario. Tests on the Google Cloud Vision API show that fooling examples can also be recognized by real-world computer vision systems. Our findings reveal a new cognitive deficit of neural networks, and we hope that these potential security threats will be addressed in future neural network applications.

(1) Background: Social robot interaction design is crucial for determining user acceptance and experience. However, few studies have systematically discussed the current focus and future research directions of social robot interaction design from a bibliometric perspective. Therefore, we conducted this study in order to identify the latest research progress and evolution trajectory of research hotspots in social robot interaction design over the last decade. (2) Methods: We conducted a comprehensive review based on 2416 papers related to social robot interaction design obtained from the Web of Science (WOS) database. Our review utilized bibliometric techniques and integrated VOSviewer and CiteSpace to construct a knowledge map. (3) Conclusions: The current research hotspots of social robot interaction design mainly focus on #1 the study of human-robot relationships in social robots, #2 research on the emotional design of social robots, #3 research on social robots for children's psychotherapy, #4 research on companion robots for elderly rehabilitation, and #5 research on educational social robots. The reference co-citation analysis identifies the classic literature that forms the basis of the current research, which provides theoretical guidance and methods for the current research. Finally, we discuss several future research directions and challenges in this field.

This study is aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of phytosterols as an alternative to cholesterol in practical diets of Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei from the perspective of growth and nonspecific immunity. Five diets were formulated to contain different sterol sources and levels. Two diets were supplemented with 1 g/kg cholesterol (LC (low cholesterol)) or phytosterol (LP (low phytosterol)). Other three experimental diets were supplemented with 2 g/kg cholesterol (HC (high cholesterol)), 2 g/kg phytosterol (HP (high phytosterol)), or mixed sterol source (CP, 1 g/kg cholesterol + 1 g/kg phytosterol), respectively. A total of 750 healthy and uniform-sized shrimp (0.52 ± 0.008 g) were randomly distributed into 5 groups with 3 replicates and fed with the five experimental diets for 60 days. Results showed that the growth performance of shrimp was influenced by the sterol levels and supplementation with 2 g/kg sterol level facilitated the growth of shrimp. The inclusion of phytosterol has a cholesterol-lowering effect on shrimp, as evidenced by a reduction in hemolymph cholesterol and triglyceride contents in the HP group. Besides, supplementation with 2 g/kg phytosterol or mixed sterol sources had positive effects on the hemolymph superoxide dismutase, phenol oxidase, and lysozyme as well as hepatopancreas alkaline phosphatase activities, demonstrating that the nonspecific immunity and antioxidative capacity were improved. In conclusion, phytosterols could be an appropriate alternative to partially replace dietary cholesterol in shrimp feeds. This study preliminarily revealed the effects of different sterol sources and levels on the growth and nonspecific immunity of shrimp and provided a basis for further exploration of the mechanism of phytosterol.

The present study investigated the effect of black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae meal (BSF) on haemolymph biochemical indicators, muscle metabolites as well as the lipid and glucose metabolism of Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. Four diets were formulated in which the control diet contained 25 % of fishmeal (FM) and 10 % (BSF10), 20 % (BSF20), and 30 % (BSF30) of FM protein were replaced with BSF. Four hundred and eighty shrimp (0·88 ± 0·00 g) were distributed to four groups of three replicates and fed for 7 weeks. Results showed that growth performance of shrimp fed BSF30 significantly decreased compared with those fed FM, but there was no significant difference in survival among groups. The whole shrimp crude lipid content, haemolymph TAG and total cholesterol were decreased with the increasing BSF inclusion. The results of metabolomics showed that the metabolite patterns of shrimp fed different diets were altered, with significant changes in metabolites related to lipid metabolism, glucose metabolism as well as TCA cycle. The mRNA expressions of hk, pfk, pk, pepck, ampk, mcd, cpt-1 and scd1 in hepatopancreas were downregulated in shrimp fed BSF30, but mRNA expression of acc1 was upregulated. Unlike BSF30, the mRNA expressions of fas, cpt-1, fbp and 6pgd in hepatopancreas were upregulated in shrimp fed BSF20. This study indicates that BSF20 diet promoted lipid synthesis and lipolysis, while BSF30 diet weakened ß-oxidation and glycolysis as well as affected the unsaturated fatty acids synthesis, which may affect the growth performance and body composition of shrimp.

Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) is recommended for the treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer. Even though the combination of nCRT and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has received much attention, the specific combination modes and dose fractions in radiotherapy (RT) are still indistinct. This review focuses on the immunological mechanism involved in nCRT, the clinical efficacy, the immunological effect of different combined strategies, concurrent or sequential nCRT plus ICIs, long-course RT and short-course RT. This review discusses the impact of nCRT on tumor immunity and summarizes the availability of different dose fractions in RT and distinct combined strategies, aiming at providing clues for optimal neoadjuvant therapy options that maximize efficacy and minimize side effects.


Radiotherapy (RT) and/or chemotherapy before surgery is the most common therapeutic strategy for patients with rectal cancer. This review summarizes the changes in tumor immunity, including immune cells and immune components, after receiving RT and chemotherapy. The authors looked for clues to the proper strategy of combined RT, chemotherapy and other novel agents to magnify antitumor immunity based on these changes. In addition, it emphasizes the RT regimens implicated in distinct immune alterations, which might help improve the efficacy of RT in clinical applications.

The evolving SARS-CoV-2 epidemic buffets the world, and the concerted efforts are needed to explore effective drugs. Mpro is an intriguing antiviral target for interfering with viral RNA replication and transcription. In order to get potential anti-SARS-CoV-2 agents, we established an enzymatic assay using a fluorogenic substrate to screen the inhibitors of Mpro. Fortunately, Acriflavine (ACF) and Proflavine Hemisulfate (PRF) with the same acridine scaffold were picked out for their good inhibitory activity against Mpro with IC50 of 5.60 ± 0.29 µM and 2.07 ± 0.01 µM, respectively. Further evaluation of MST assay and enzymatic kinetics experiment in vitro showed that they had a certain affinity to SARS-CoV-2 Mpro and were both non-competitive inhibitors. In addition, they inhibited about 90 % HCoV-OC43 replication in BHK-21 cells at 1 µM. Both compounds showed nano-molar activities against SARS-CoV-2 virus, which were superior to GC376 for anti-HCoV-43, and equivalent to the standard molecule remdesivir. Our study demonstrated that ACF and PRF were inhibitors of Mpro, and ACF has been previously reported as a PLpro inhibitor. Taken together, ACF and PRF might be dual-targeted inhibitors to provide protection against infections of coronaviruses.

Different intensities of UV-A (6, 12, 18 µmol·m-2s-1) were applied in a plant factory to evaluate the combined influences of supplemental UV-A and red and blue light (Red:Blue = 1:1 at PPFD of 250 µmol·m-2 s-1) on the biomass, antioxidant activity and phytochemical accumulation of kale. Supplemental UV-A treatments (T1: 6 µmol·m-2 s-1, T2: 12 µmol·m-2 s-1 and T3: 18 µmol·m-2 s-1) resulted in higher moisture content, higher pigment content, and greater leaf area of kale while T2 reached its highest point. T2 treatment positively enhanced the antioxidant capacity, increased the contents of soluble protein, soluble sugar and reduced the nitrate content. T1 treatment markedly increased the content of aliphatic glucosinolate (GSL), whereas T2 treatment highly increased the contents of indolic GSL and total GSL. Genes related to GSL biosynthesis were down-regulated in CK and T3 treatments, while a majority of them were greatly up-regulated by T1 and T2. Hence, supplemental 12 µmol·m-2 s-1 UV-A might be a promising strategy to enhance the growth and quality of kale in a plant factory.

This study is aimed at evaluating the apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) of six novel protein sources in Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei), including black soldier fly larvae meal (BSFLM), Chlorella vulgaris meal (CM), cottonseed protein concentrate (CPC), Tenebrio molitor meal (TM), Clostridium autoethanogenum protein (CAP), and methanotroph (Methylococcus capsulatus, Bath) bacteria meal (BPM). The control diet (CD) was formulated to contain 448.8 g/kg crude protein and 71.8 g/kg crude lipid. Then, six experimental diets were formulated to contain 70% CD and 30% test ingredients. The yttrium oxide was used as an exogenous indicator for apparent digestibility detection. Six hundred and thirty healthy and uniform-sized shrimp (approximately 3.04 ± 0.01 g) were randomly distributed into triplicate groups of 30 shrimp and they were fed three times daily. After the shrimp was acclimating for one week, their feces were collected 2 hours after the morning feeding until sufficient samples were available for compositional analysis to calculate apparent digestibility. The apparent digestibility coefficients for a dry matter of diets (ADCD) and ingredients (ADCI) as well as the apparent digestibility coefficients for crude protein (ADCPro), crude lipid (ADCL), and phosphorus (ADCP) of test ingredients were calculated. Results showed that the growth performance of shrimp fed BSFLM, TM, and BPM diets significantly decreased compared to that fed the CD (P < 0.05), and no significant differences were found among those fed CD, CM, CAP, and CPC diets (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in survival among each group (P > 0.05). As for the diets, results showed that the ADCD of BSFLM, CM, CPC, and TM diets was significantly lower than that of CD, while that of the CAP diet was significantly higher than that of CD (P < 0.05) and there were no significant differences between BPM and CD diets (P > 0.05). As for the test ingredients, the ADCPro and ADCL of BSFLM, CM, CPC, and TM were significantly lower than those of CD in Litopenaeus vannamei (P < 0.05). The ADCPro of CAP was significantly higher than that of CD (P < 0.05), but no significant differences were found in ADCL between CAP and CD (P > 0.05). The ADCPro of BPM was significantly lower than that of CD (P < 0.05), but there were no significant differences in ADCL between BPM and CD (P > 0.05). The ADCP of CM, CAP, and BPM were significantly higher than that of CD, while that of BSFLM was significantly lower than that of CD (P < 0.05), and no significant differences were found in ADCP between TM and CD (P > 0.05). To conclude, newly developed protein sources such as single-cell protein (CAP, BPM, and CM) showed great potential as a fishmeal alternative, and insect protein meals (TM and BSFLM) were less effective for shrimp compared to the CD. Although the utilization of CPC by shrimp was lower than other protein sources, it had been much improved compared to the untreated cottonseed meal. The present study will contribute to the application of novel protein sources in shrimp feeds.

Polymeric hydrogels with three-dimensional network structures have found tremendous applications in biomedicine. Herein, we report the synthesis of a multifunctional implant based on ovalbumin (OVA) as a carrier capable of synergistically delivering a photothermal transducing agent (polydopamine, PDA) to tumors. The formation of PDA was achieved by utilizing the basicity of OVA, whereas the formation of the hydrogel implant was achieved through the in vitro/in vivo near-infrared (NIR) laser-induced hyperthermia of PDA. The as-prepared PDA@OVA implant exhibits high photothermal conversion efficiency (38.7 %). Once implanted in vivo, the OVA-based implant shows great versatility in the treatment of malignant tumors. Furthermore, a chemotherapeutic (doxorubicin, DOX) and a contrast agent (iohexol), dispersed in the OVA solution in advance, can also be firmly entrapped in the hydrogel along with the hydrogel formation. It is anticipated that the multifunctional OVA-based implant, not showing any obvious toxicity to healthy tissue, could be a promising system for synergistic cancer treatment.

Disruption of cell-cell junction and adhesion to vessels are crucial steps in tumor metastasis. Tumor-associated glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72) is a crucial membrane mucin in gastroesophageal mucosa for microenvironment contact with cells. Thus, the TAG-72 value may be an indicator of the malignant involvement of lymph nodes in esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma (EGAC) patients. Of the 183 patients suspected as gastroesophageal neoplasms, 129 were subsequently diagnosed as EGAC, and 54 were subsequently diagnosed as benign gastroesophageal diseases by imageological or/and histological examination. After we obtained preoperative serum TAG-72 values, the relationship between serum TAG-72 and lymphatic metastasis status, extent of invaded lymph nodes and clinical stage was tested using Spearman correlation analysis and χ2 tests. Compared with those in patients who suffered either benign gastroesophageal diseases or preinvasive carcinoma, the median serum TAG-72 values were statistically higher in EGAC patients with positive lymph nodes (Kruskal-Wallis test; P < 0.001). Serum TAG-72 values were significantly correlated with Lymph Node Ratio (LNR) (Spearman correlation; P < 0.001). Using corresponding ROC (95% CI = 0.621-0.783, P < 0.0001), serum TAG-72 values with an optimal cut-off (2.2 kU/mL) showed a sensitivity of 0.632 and a specificity of 0.690 for predicting malignant lymph node involvement in EGAC. These results suggest that the serum TAG-72 value is a clinically helpful predictor of lymph nodes invasion in resectable EGAC.

A one-step hydrothermal synthesis of nitrogen and silicon co-doped fluorescence carbon quantum dots (N,Si-CQDs), from citric acid monohydrate and silane coupling agent KH-792 with a high product yield (PY) of 52.56% and high quantum yield (QY) of 97.32%, was developed. This greatly improves both the PY and QY of CQDs and provides a new approach for a large-scale production of high-quality CQDs. Furthermore, N,Si-CQDs were employed as phosphors without dispersants to fabricate white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) with the color coordinates at (0.29, 0.32). It is suggested that N,Si-CQDs have great potential as promising fluorescent materials to be applied in WLEDs.

Erythropoietin (EPO) has a beneficial effect on hepatic cell proliferation during liver regeneration. However, the underlying mechanism has not yet been elucidated. To uncover the proliferation response of EPO in rat liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy (PH) at the cellular level, hepatocytes (HCs) were isolated using Percoll density gradient centrifugation. The genes of the EPO-mediated signaling pathway and the target genes of the transcription factor (TF) in the pathway were identified in a pathway and TF database search. Their expression profiles were then detected using Rat Genome 230 2.0 Microarray. The results indicated that the EPO-mediated signaling pathway is involved in 19 paths and that 124 genes participate, of which 32 showed significant changes and could be identified as liver regeneration-related genes. In addition, 443 targets regulated by the TFs of the pathway and 60 genes associated with cell proliferation were contained in the array. Subsequently, the synergetic effect of these genes in liver regeneration was analyzed using the E(t) mathematical model based on their expression profiles. The results demonstrated that the E(t) values of paths 3, 8, 12 and 14-17 were significantly strengthened in the progressing phase of liver regeneration through the RAS/MEK/ERK or PI3K/AκT pathways. The synergetic effect of the target genes, in parallel with target-related cell proliferation, was also enhanced 12-72 h after PH, suggesting a potential positive effect of EPO on HC proliferation during rat liver regeneration. These data imply that the EPO receptor may allow EPO to promote HC proliferation through paths 3, 8, 12 and 14-17, mediating the RAS/MEK/ERK and PI3K/AκT pathways in rat liver regeneration after PH.

In order to study the microscopic reaction mechanism and kinetic model of Al/PTFE, a reactive force field (ReaxFF) was used to simulate the interface model of the Al/PTFE system with different oxide layer thicknesses (0 Å, 5 Å, 10 Å), and the thermochemical behavior of Al/PTFE at different heating rates was analyzed by simultaneous thermal analysis (TG-DSC). The results show that the thickness of the oxide layer has a significant effect on the reaction process of Al/PTFE. In the system with an oxide layer thickness of 5 Å, the compactness of the oxide layer changes due to thermal rearrangement, resulting in the diffusion of reactants (fluorine-containing substances) through the oxide layer into the Al core. The reaction mainly occurs between the oxide layer and the Al core. For the 10 Å oxide layer, the reaction only exists outside the interface of the oxide layer. With the movement of the oxygen ions in the oxide layer and the Al atoms in the Al core, the oxide layer moves to the Al core, which makes the reaction continue. By analyzing the reaction process of Al/PTFE, the mechanism function of Al/PTFE was obtained by combining the shrinkage volume model (R3 model) and the three-dimensional diffusion (D3 model). In addition, the activation energy of Al/PTFE was 258.8 kJ/mol and the pre-exponential factor was 2.495 × 1015 min-1. The research results have important theoretical significance and reference value for the in-depth understanding of the microscopic chemical reaction mechanism and the quantitative study of macroscopic energy release of Al/PTFE reactive materials.

New co-processed excipients comprising lactose (filler and sweetener), microcrystalline cellulose (MCC, filler), and low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose (L-HPC, disintegrant and binder) were developed via solvent evaporation for the preparation of metoclopramide orally disintegrating tablets (MCP ODTs). Single-factor and Box-Behnken experimental designs were employed to optimize the formulation. The optimized formulation ratios were water: MCC: lactose (g/g) = 17.26:2.79:4.54:1. The results demonstrated that particles formed by solvent evaporation had superior flowability and compressibility compared to the physical mixture. Tablets compressed with these co-processed excipients exhibited a significantly reduced disintegration time of less than 25 s and achieved complete dissolution within 5 min. Pharmacokinetic studies revealed that MCP ODTs significantly improved Cmax, which was 1.60-fold higher compared to conventional tablets. In summary, the lactose/L-HPC/MCC triple-based co-processed excipients developed in this study are promising and could be successfully utilized in orally disintegrating and fast-release tablets.
