RESUMO

In order to improve the oxidative desulfurization (ODS) performance of MOF materials, an effective way is to convert a microporous MOF into a hierarchical porous MOF (HP-MOF) by utilizing the linker selective retention strategy. Herein, UiO-66 with the introduction of an unstable linker ligand (dihydro-1,2,4,5-tetrazine-3,6-dicarboxylate, dhtz) can selectively remove dhtz ligands to form HP-MOF (HP-UiO-66-dhtz) through heat treatment at high temperature. While maintaining the original structure of UiO-66, HP-UiO-66-dhtz features mesopores and abundant Lewis acid sites, showing excellent ODS performance for diphenylthiophene (DBT).

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To analyze the prevalence of HLA-B27 associated acute anterior uveitis and to identify its clinical features. METHODS: A total of 240 patients with HLA-B27 associated acute anterior uveitis, who were admitted to Zhejiang Ophthalmologic Hospital between December 2006 and October 2012, were retrospectively analyzed. The age of onset, sex, affected eyes, HLA-B27 antigen detection, recurrence, joint involvement, and surgical complications were investigated. RESULTS: The average age of onset was 37.0±12.0 years and the ratio of male to female patients was 2.4:1. Most cases had alternate unilateral or bilateral involvement. Among all participants, 234 cases (97.5%) were HLA-B27 positive, and 124 cases (51.7%) had spondyloarthropathies (SpA), dominated by 108 cases with ankylosing spondylitis (AS,45.0%), and mostly seen in male subjects (P<0.05). Six patients were HLA-B27 negative (2.5%) and no statistical significance was noted between male and female patients (P>0.05). A total of 193 cases (80.4%) presented with complications, mainly fibrinous exudation, posterior synechia, and vitreous opacity. CONCLUSION: HLA-B27 that is associated acute anterior uveitis with a relatively high incidence and recurrence presents with more severe clinical features than does idiopathic acute anterior uveitis, and it often accompanies systemic arthritic diseases. HLA-B27 antibody detection is associated with the diagnosis and treatment of acute anterior uveitis.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To summarize the therapeutic effect of multiple types of posterior interosseous artery flaps for repair of soft tissue defects in the upper extremities. METHODS: From March 2003 to June 2010, 42 cases with soft tissue defects in the upper limbs resulting from burn and traumatic injuries were treated using multiple types of posterior interosseous artery flaps, including retrograde flaps and composite flaps, antegrade flaps ,and free flaps. Flap size ranged from 2.5 cm x 2.0 cm-14.0 cm x 9.0 cm. The defects in the donor sites were closed directly or covered by skin graft. RESULTS: The conventional retrograde posterior interosseous artery flaps were used in 11 cases, the modified retrograde posterior interosseous artery flaps were used in 13 cases, the retrograde posterior interosseous artery composite flaps incorporating partial extensors were used in 2 cases, the antegrade posterior interosseous artery flaps were used in 3 cases, the free posterior interosseous artery flaps were used in 7 cases, and the free perforator flap based on the radiodorsal septocutaneous perforator of the posterior interosseous artery were used in 6 cases. Partial necrosis happened in one case at the distal portion of the flap. Muscular branch of the posterior interosseous nerve was injured in one case with conventional reverse posterior interosseous artery flaps. All the other flaps survived uneventually with no complication. All wounds were primarily healed. 32 cases were followed up for 1 to 48 months with satisfactory aesthetic and functional results both in the donor sites and in the recipient areas. The color, texture and thickness of the flaps were satisfied as well. CONCLUSIONS: The posterior interosseous artery flap has a constant vascular anatomy and a great flexibility, which is practical and suitable for repair of Soft tissue defect in the upper extremities arising from burn and traumatic injury.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Some reports showed the benefits of dental implants coated with hydroxyapatite, while some other studies found no significant difference between HA-coated implants and non-coated implants. The present study was to examine the osseointegration of HA-coated and non-coated implants in dogs. METHODS: Twelve implants, 6 HA-coated and 6 non-coated were placed into mandibles of six dogs after teeth extraction. Animals were sacrificed after 1, 3, 6 months, respectively. Initial healing and the bone-implant interface were histomorphometrically assessed using light microscopy. RESULTS: All implants osseointegrated; however, the ingrowth and development of new bone tissue onto HA-coated implants surface were sooner than that of non-coated ones. The index of bone osseointegration of HA-coated implants was higher than that of non-coated ones. After 1,3,6 months the osseointegration of HA-coated implants were 71.68%, 86.81%, 90.19%; While the non-coated ones'were 53.26%, 66.16%, 68.72%. The differences of them were very significant. CONCLUSION: HA-coated implants enhanced initial bone tissue ingrowth and development and thus benefited the osseointegration of implants.
