BACKGROUND: Higher levels of inflammatory biomarkers are associated with an increased risk of perioperative atrial fibrillation and myocardial injury after non-cardiac surgery (MINS). Colchicine is an anti-inflammatory drug that might reduce the incidence of these complications. METHODS: COP-AF was a randomised trial conducted at 45 sites in 11 countries. Patients aged 55 years or older and undergoing major non-cardiac thoracic surgery were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive oral colchicine 0·5 mg twice daily or matching placebo, starting within 4 h before surgery and continuing for 10 days. Randomisation was done with use of a computerised, web-based system, and was stratified by centre. Health-care providers, patients, data collectors, and adjudicators were masked to treatment assignment. The coprimary outcomes were clinically important perioperative atrial fibrillation and MINS during 14 days of follow-up. The main safety outcomes were a composite of sepsis or infection, and non-infectious diarrhoea. The intention-to-treat principle was used for all analyses. This trial is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03310125. FINDINGS: Between Feb 14, 2018, and June 27, 2023, we enrolled 3209 patients (mean age 68 years [SD 7], 1656 [51·6%] male). Clinically important atrial fibrillation occurred in 103 (6·4%) of 1608 patients assigned to colchicine, and 120 (7·5%) of 1601 patients assigned to placebo (hazard ratio [HR] 0·85, 95% CI 0·65 to 1·10; absolute risk reduction [ARR] 1·1%, 95% CI -0·7 to 2·8; p=0·22). MINS occurred in 295 (18·3%) patients assigned to colchicine and 325 (20·3%) patients assigned to placebo (HR 0·89, 0·76 to 1·05; ARR 2·0%, -0·8 to 4·7; p=0·16). The composite outcome of sepsis or infection occurred in 103 (6·4%) patients in the colchicine group and 83 (5·2%) patients in the placebo group (HR 1·24, 0·93-1·66). Non-infectious diarrhoea was more common in the colchicine group (134 [8·3%] events) than the placebo group (38 [2·4%]; HR 3·64, 2·54-5·22). INTERPRETATION: In patients undergoing major non-cardiac thoracic surgery, administration of colchicine did not significantly reduce the incidence of clinically important atrial fibrillation or MINS but increased the risk of mostly benign non-infectious diarrhoea. PURPOSE: Postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is a common complication following cardiac surgery. Although the evidence suggests that beta blockers prevent POAF, they often cause hypotension. Landiolol, an ultra-short-acting ß1 blocker, may prevent POAF, without adverse hemodynamic consequences. SOURCE: We searched MEDLINE, CENTRAL, Embase, and trial registries between January 1970 and March 2022. We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated the effect of landiolol for the prevention of POAF after cardiac surgery. Two reviewers independently assessed eligibility, extracted data, and assessed risk of bias using the Risk of Bias 2.0 tool. We pooled data using random-effects models. We used the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations framework to assess certainty of evidence. PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: Nine RCTs including 868 participants met the eligibility criteria. Patients randomized to landiolol (56/460) had less POAF compared with controls (133/408) with a relative risk (RR) of 0.40 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.30 to 0.54; I2 = 0%;) and an absolute risk of 12.2% vs 32.6% (absolute risk difference, 20.4%; 95% CI, 15.0 to 25.0). Landiolol resulted in a shorter hospital length-of-stay (LOS) (268 patients; mean difference, -2.32 days; 95% CI, -4.02 to -0.57; I2 = 0%). We found no significant difference in bradycardia (RR, 1.11; 95% CI, 0.48 to 2.56; I2 = 0%). No hypotension was reported with landiolol. We judged the certainty of evidence as moderate for POAF (because of indirectness as outcomes were not clearly defined) and low for LOS (because of imprecision and concern of reporting bias). CONCLUSION: In patients undergoing cardiac surgery, landiolol likely reduces POAF and may reduce LOS. A definitive large RCT is needed to confirm these findings. RéSUMé: OBJECTIF: La fibrillation auriculaire postopératoire (FAPO) est une complication fréquente après une chirurgie cardiaque. Bien que les données probantes suggèrent que les bêta-bloqueurs préviennent la FAPO, ces agents provoquent souvent une hypotension. Le landiolol, un ß1-bloqueur à action ultra-courte, pourrait prévenir la FAPO sans conséquences hémodynamiques indésirables. SOURCES: Nous avons effectué des recherches dans les bases de données MEDLINE, CENTRAL et Embase, et dans les registres d'études publiées entre janvier 1970 et mars 2022. Nous avons inclus les études randomisées contrôlées (ERC) évaluant l'effet du landiolol pour la prévention de la FAPO après une chirurgie cardiaque. Deux personnes ont indépendamment révisé l'éligibilité, extrait les données et évalué le risque de biais à l'aide de l'outil Risque de biais 2.0. Nous avons regroupé les données à l'aide de modèles à effets aléatoires. Nous avons utilisé le système de notation GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation) pour évaluer la certitude des données probantes. CONSTATATIONS PRINCIPALES: Neuf ERC incluant 868 personnes remplissaient les critères d'éligibilité. Les patient·es randomisé·es dans le groupe landiolol (56/460) présentaient moins de FAPO que les témoins (133/408), avec un risque relatif (RR) de 0,40 (intervalle de confiance [IC] à 95 %, 0,30 à 0,54; I2 = 0 %) et un risque absolu de 12,2 % vs 32,6 % (différence de risque absolue, 20,4 %; IC 95 % 95 %, 15,0 à 25,0). CONCLUSION: Chez les patient·es bénéficiant d'une chirurgie cardiaque, le landiolol réduit probablement la FAPO et peut réduire la durée de séjour hospitalier. BACKGROUND: Digital sensing solutions represent a convenient, objective, relatively inexpensive method that could be leveraged for assessing symptoms of various health conditions. Recent progress in the capabilities of digital sensing products has targeted the measurement of scratching during sleep, traditionally referred to as nocturnal scratching, in patients with atopic dermatitis or other skin conditions. Many solutions measuring nocturnal scratch have been developed; however, a lack of efforts toward standardization of the measure's definition and contextualization of scratching during sleep hampers the ability to compare different technologies for this purpose. OBJECTIVE: We aimed to address this gap and bring forth unified measurement definitions for nocturnal scratch. METHODS: We performed a narrative literature review of definitions of scratching in patients with skin inflammation and a targeted literature review of sleep in the context of the period during which such scratching occurred. Both searches were limited to English language studies in humans. The extracted data were synthesized into themes based on study characteristics: scratch as a behavior, other characterization of the scratching movement, and measurement parameters for both scratch and sleep. We then developed ontologies for the digital measurement of sleep scratching. RESULTS: In all, 29 studies defined inflammation-related scratching between 1996 and 2021. When cross-referenced with the results of search terms describing the sleep period, only 2 of these scratch-related papers also described sleep-related variables. From these search results, we developed an evidence-based and patient-centric definition of nocturnal scratch: an action of rhythmic and repetitive skin contact movement performed during a delimited time period of intended and actual sleep that is not restricted to any specific time of the day or night. Based on the measurement properties identified in the searches, we developed ontologies of relevant concepts that can be used as a starting point to develop standardized outcome measures of scratching during sleep in patients with inflammatory skin conditions. CONCLUSIONS: This work is intended to serve as a foundation for the future development of unified and well-described digital health technologies measuring nocturnal scratching and should enable better communication and sharing of results between various stakeholders taking part in research in atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory skin conditions.

AIMS: The potential nitrification activity (PNA), population size and community composition of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) in paddy soil from a short-term (5 years) tillage field experiment conducted at tillering stage of late rice were investigated using the shaken slurry method and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. METHODS AND RESULTS: The experiment included four tillage treatments: conventional tillage with crop residue incorporation (CT), rotary tillage with crop residue incorporation (RT), no-tillage with crop residue returning (NT) and rotary tillage with all crop residues removed as a control (RTO). The results showed that PNA in paddy soil of CT, RT and NT treatments was higher than that of RTO treatment, and the abundance of AOA and AOB was much higher in paddy soil of CT, RT and NT treatments than RTO treatment. Meanwhile, PNA and the abundance of AOB and AOA in paddy soil were greatly enhanced by combined application of tillage and crop residue, whereas PNA and the abundance of AOB and AOA in paddy soil were decreased by combined application of no-tillage and crop residue. Moreover, PNA was closely correlated with the abundance and community structure of AOB rather than AOA. The results also showed that PNA and the population sizes of AOB and AOA in crop incorporation treatments were higher than that of crop residue removed treatment. Cluster and redundancy analyses indicated that crop residue effect played a more important role in shaping AOA community structure compared to short-term tillage management. CONCLUSIONS: The results indicated that AOB rather than AOA functionally dominated ammonia oxidation in the double-cropping rice paddy soil, the activities of AOB and AOA were increased and the community structure was also changed under the combination of conventional tillage, rotary tillage and crop residue condition. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF STUDY: The activity and community structure of AOB and AOA, which were affected by the combination of tillage and crop residue managements, play an important role in cycling of nitrogen.

BACKGROUND: White lupin (Lupinus albus) is a leguminous crop with elite adaptive ability in phosphorus-deficient soil and used as a model plant for studying phosphorus (P) use. However, the genetic basis of its adaptation to low P (LP) remains unclear. ATPase binding cassette (ABC) transports G subfamily play a crucial role in the transportation of biological molecules across the membrane. To date, identification of this subfamily has been analyzed in some plants, but no systematic analysis of these transporters in phosphorus acquisition is available for white lupin. RESULTS: This study identified 66 ABCG gene family members in the white lupin genome using comprehensive approaches. Phylogenetic analysis of white lupin ABCG transporters revealed six subclades based on their counterparts in Arabidopsis, displaying distinct gene structure and motif distribution in each cluster. Influences of the whole genome duplication on the evolution of L.albABCGs were investigated in detail. Segmental duplications appear to be the major driving force for the expansion of ABCGs in white lupin. Analysis of the Ka/Ks ratios indicated that the paralogs of the L.albABCG subfamily members principally underwent purifying selection. However, it was found that L.albABCG29 was a result of both tandem and segmental duplications. Overexpression of L.albABCG29 in white lupin hairy root enhanced P accumulation in cluster root under LP and improved plant growth. Histochemical GUS staining indicated that L.albABCG29 expression increased under LP in white lupin roots. Further, overexpression of L.albABCG29 in rice significantly improved P use under combined soil drying and LP by improving root growth associated with increased rhizosheath formation. CONCLUSION: Through systematic and comprehensive genome-wide bioinformatics analysis, including conserved domain, gene structures, chromosomal distribution, phylogenetic relationships, and gene duplication analysis, the L.albABCG subfamily was identified in white lupin, and L.albABCG29 characterized in detail. In summary, our results provide deep insight into the characterization of the L.albABCG subfamily and the role of L.albABCG29 in improving P use.

BACKGROUND: Endometrial cancer (EC) is one of the most frequent gynecological malignancy worldwide. However, resistance to chemotherapy remains one of the major difficulties in the treatment of EC. Thus, there is an urgent requirement to understand mechanisms of chemoresistance and identify novel regimens for patients with EC. We found that protein and mRNA expression levels of RNF8 were significantly increased in both cisplatin and doxorubicin resistant EC cells. Cell survival assay showed that RNF deficiency significantly enhanced the sensitivity of resistant EC cells to cisplatin and doxorubicin (P < 0.01). In addition, chemoresistant EC cells exhibited increased NHEJ efficiency. Knockout of RNF8 in chemoresistant EC cells significantly reduced NHEJ efficiency and prolonged Ku80 retention on DSB. Moreover, cisplatin resistant AN3CA xenograft showed that RNF8 deficiency overcame cisplatin resistance. Our in vitro and in vivo assays provide evidence for RNF8, which is a NHEJ factor, serving as a promising, novel target in EC chemotherapy.

As a consequence of hybridization, polyploidization, and apomixis, the genus Cotoneaster (Rosaceae) represents one of the most complicated and controversial lineages in Rosaceae, with ca. 370 species which have been classified into two subgenera and several sections, and is notorious for its taxonomic difficulty. The infrageneric relationships and taxonomy of Cotoneaster have remained poorly understood. Previous studies have focused mainly on natural hybridization involving only several species, and phylogeny based on very limited markers. In the present study, the sequences of complete chloroplast genomes and 204 low-copy nuclear genes of 72 accessions, representing 69 species as ingroups, were used to conduct the most comprehensive phylogenetic analysis so far for Cotoneaster. Based on the sequences of complete chloroplast genomes and many nuclear genes, our analyses yield two robust phylogenetic trees respectively. Chloroplast genome and nuclear data confidently resolved relationships of this genus into two major clades which largely supported current classification based on morphological evidence. However, conflicts between the chloroplast genome and low-copy nuclear phylogenies were observed in both the species level and clade level. Cyto-nuclear discordance in the phylogeny could be caused by frequent hybridization events and incomplete sorting lineage (ILS). In addition, our divergence-time analysis revealed an evolutionary radiation of the genus from late Miocene to date.

A chemical approach to the deposition of thin films on solid surfaces is highly desirable but prone to affect the final properties of the film. To better understand the origin of these complications, the initial stages of the atomic layer deposition of titania films on silica mesoporous materials were characterized. Adsorption-desorption measurements indicated that the films grow in a layer-by-layer fashion, as desired, but initially exhibit surprisingly low densities, about one-quarter of that of bulk titanium oxide. Electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, UV/visible, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy data pointed to the amorphous nature of the first monolayers, and EXAFS and 29Si CP/MAS NMR results to an initial growth via the formation of individual tetrahedral Ti-oxide units on isolated Si-OH surface groups with unusually long Ti-O bonds. Density functional theory calculations were used to propose a mechanism where the film growth starts at the nucleation centers to form an open 2D structure.

The infrageneric relationships and taxonomy of the largest fern genus, Asplenium (Aspleniaceae), have remained poorly understood. Previous studies have focused mainly on specific species complexes involving a few or dozens of species only, or have achieved a large taxon sampling but only one plastid marker was used. In the present study, DNA sequences from six plastid markers (atpB, rbcL, rps4, rps4-trnS, trnL and trnL-F) of 1030 accessions (616 of them newly sequenced here) representing c. 420 species of Asplenium (60% of estimated species diversity), 16 species of Hymenasplenium, three Diplaziopsidaceae, and four Rhachidosoraceae were used to produce the largest genus-level phylogeny yet for ferns. Our major results include: (i) Asplenium as broadly circumscribed is monophyletic based on our inclusion of representatives of 32 of 38 named segregate genera; (ii) 11 major clades in Asplenium are identified, and their relationships are mostly well-resolved and strongly supported; (iii) numerous species, unsampled in previous studies, suggest new relationships and numerous cryptic species and species complexes in Asplenium; and (iv) the accrued molecular evidence provides an essential foundation for further investigations of complex patterns of geographical diversification, speciation and reticulate evolution in this family.

The fern genus Hymenasplenium (Aspleniaceae) is one of the two genera in the family. It is generally recognized among modern pteridologists. However, its infrageneric relationships and species diversity have been unclear and controversial. The molecular studies so far have had small taxon and character sampling. In the present study, DNA sequences of six plastid markers of 158 accessions representing ca. 40 out of ca. 50 known species of Hymenasplenium, and 16 species of Asplenium were used to infer a phylogeny with maximum likelihood, Bayesian inference, and maximum parsimony approaches. Our major results include: (1) Hymenasplenium as currently defined is strongly supported as monophyletic; (2) three major clades representing early splits in Hymenasplenium are identified, with the Old World species being strongly supported as monophyletic; it is ambiguous if the New World species are monophyletic; (3) extensive cryptic speciation in the Old World is discovered demonstrating the complexity of evolution of the genus; and (4) six strongly or moderately supported subclades in the Old World clade are revealed, differing from one another in molecular, morphological, and geographical features.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are pivotal regulators of gene expression, playing crucial roles in plant developmental processes and environmental responses. However, the function of miRNAs in influencing deciduous traits has been little explored. Here, we utilized sRNA-seq on two deciduous species, Ilex polyneura (Hand.-Mazz.) S. Y. Hu and Ilex asprella Champ. ex Benth., along with an evergreen species, Ilex latifolia Thunb., to identify and annotate miRNAs within these species. Our analysis revealed 162 species-specific miRNAs (termed SS-miRNAs) from 120 families, underscoring the fundamental roles and potential influence of SS-miRNAs on plant phenotypic diversity and adaptation. Notably, three SS-miRNAs in I. latifolia were found to target crucial genes within the abscission signaling pathway. Analysis of cis-regulatory elements suggested a novel regulatory relationship that may contribute to the evergreen phenotype of I. latifolia by modulating the abscission process in a light-independent manner. These findings propose a potential mechanism by which SS-miRNAs can influence the conserved abscission pathway, contributing to the phenotypic divergence between deciduous and evergreen species within the genus Ilex.

In layered Li-rich materials, over stoichiometric Li forms an ordered occupation of LiTM6 in transition metal (TM) layer, showing a honeycomb superstructure along [001] direction. At the atomic scale, the instability of the superstructure at high voltage is the root cause of problems such as capacity/voltage decay of Li-rich materials. Here a Li-rich material with a high Li/Ni disorder is reported, these interlayer Ni atoms locate above the honeycomb superstructure and share adjacent O coordination with honeycomb TM. These Ni─O bonds act as cable-stayed bridge to the honeycomb plane, and improve the high-voltage stability. The cable-stayed honeycomb superstructure is confirmed by in situ X-ray diffraction to have a unique cell evolution mechanism that it can alleviate interlaminar lattice strain by promoting in-plane expansion along a-axis and inhibiting c-axis stretching. Electrochemical tests also demonstrate significantly improved long cycle performance after 500 cycles (86% for Li-rich/Li half cell and 82% for Li-rich/Si-C full cell) and reduced irreversible oxygen release. This work proves the feasibility of achieving outstanding stability of lithium-rich materials through superstructure regulation and provides new insights for the development of the next-generation high-energy-density cathodes.

A new spleenwort species, Aspleniumguodanum, was found and described from Danxia landform region in Guangdong, China. The new species has close resemblance to A.subcrenatum Ching ex S.H.Wu in morphology, but can be distinguished by having plants small, stipes and rachises not covered with fibrous scales, relatively fewer pairs of pinnae, pinnae short, pinna margin weakly biserrate, pinna apex acute and lower pinnae obviously reduced. Phylogenetic analyses, based on six plastid markers (atpB, rbcL, rps4 & rps4-trnS and trnL & trnL-F) of the new species and its relatives, support a close relationship between A.guodanum and A.subcrenatum. Only one population with no more than 50 individuals were found and, therefore, it is recommended to be classified as Critically Endangered (CR) following IUCN Red List Criteria.

Although it is well documented that mountains tend to exhibit high biodiversity, how geological processes affect the assemblage of montane floras is a matter of ongoing research. Here, we explore landform-specific differences among montane floras based on a dataset comprising 17,576 angiosperm species representing 140 Chinese mountain floras, which we define as the collection of all angiosperm species growing on a specific mountain. Our results show that igneous bedrock (granitic and karst-granitic landforms) is correlated with higher species richness and phylogenetic overdispersion, while the opposite is true for sedimentary bedrock (karst, Danxia, and desert landforms), which is correlated with phylogenetic clustering. Furthermore, we show that landform type was the primary determinant of the assembly of evolutionarily older species within floras, while climate was a greater determinant for younger species. Our study indicates that landform type not only affects montane species richness, but also contributes to the composition of montane floras. To explain the assembly and differentiation of mountain floras, we propose the 'floristic geo-lithology hypothesis', which highlights the role of bedrock and landform processes in montane floristic assembly and provides insights for future research on speciation, migration, and biodiversity in montane regions.

A time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (TRFIA) technique is developed to detect enrofloxacin (ENR) contamination in food. By using ENR-ovalbumin, anti-ENR antibodies and europium-labeled goat anti-rabbit antibodies, we establish an indirect and competitive method for ENR-TRFIA. The sensitivity of the method is high, with a detection limit of 0.01 ng/mL. The tests show that the technique's sensitivity is 1 µg/kg in eel, pork and chicken, and 1 µg/L in honey. The detection range attained is 0.01-100 ng/mL and within the detection range the intra- and inter-batch coefficients of variation of the ENR-TRFIA method are 2.4% and 9.2%, respectively. The data obtained from eel samples by TRFIA and enzyme-linked immunoassay are in good agreement. The assay did not cross-react with other quinolones, which commonly exist in food. The study suggests that ENR-TRFIA is a simple, sensitive and economic method of screening large quantities of samples, and has good prospects for application.

This paper examines the impact of green credit (GC) on digital technology innovation based on Chinese enterprises using panel data from 1990 to 2016. The study collected panel data from the 40 Chinese firms listed on the Beijing and Wuhan stock markets. Manufacturing companies were selected because they mainly contribute to green credit from pre- and post-policy periods. First, in the "two high and one surplus" sectors, the application of China's Green Credit 2012 could significantly increase total factor digital technology innovation by 1.21%. Results show a considerable drop in the variable values of digital technology innovation, 61.3%; green credit policy, 10.45%; leverage, 21.0%; and green innovation, 85.4%. The results of the absolute value of standard error after matching is much lower than 20.0%, demonstrating that the variable features of the two sets of samples are similar. In conclusion, GC's impact on the FDI of capital was asymmetrical, reflecting various impacts on businesses with various types of property rights and sizes.

The redox properties of titania films grown by ALD on SBA-15, a silica-based mesoporous material, were characterized as a function of thickness (that is, the number of ALD cycles used). 29Si CP/MAS NMR helped to identify the nature of the surface species that form in the initial stages of deposition, and infrared absorption spectroscopy was used to follow the transition from silica to titania surfaces. The reducibility of the titania sites by CO and H2 was studied ex situ using EPR and in situ with ambient-pressure XPS. It was determined that the titania ALD films are amorphous and easier to reduce than crystalline titania and that the reduction is reversible. A transition in the nature of the surface was also observed, with unique mixed Si-O-Ti sites forming during the first few ALD cycles and a more typical titania surface progressively developing as the film grows in thickness.

BACKGROUND: Perioperative atrial fibrillation is associated with an increased risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and death after noncardiac surgery. Anticoagulation therapy is effective for stroke prevention in nonsurgical atrial fibrillation, but its efficacy and safety in perioperative atrial fibrillation are unknown. METHODS: We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, and CENTRAL from database inception until January 2022. We included studies comparing anticoagulation versus no anticoagulation use in patients with perioperative atrial fibrillation after noncardiac surgery. Our study outcomes included stroke ± systemic embolism, bleeding, mortality, myocardial infarction, and venous thromboembolism. We pooled studies using fixed-effects models. We reported summary risk ratios (RRs) for studies reporting multivariable-adjusted results. RESULTS: Seven observational studies but no randomised trials were included. Of the 27,822 patients, 29.1% were prescribed therapeutic anticoagulation. Anticoagulation use was associated with a lower risk of stroke ± systemic embolism (RR 0.73; 95% CI, 0.62-0.85; I2 = 81%; 3 studies) but a higher risk of bleeding (RR 1.14; 95% CI, 1.04-1.25; 1 study). There was a lower risk of mortality associated with anticoagulation use (RR 0.45; 95% CI, 0.40-0.51; I2 = 80%; 2 studies). There was no difference in the risk of myocardial infarction (RR 2.19; 95% CI, 0.97-4.96; 1 study). The certainty of the evidence was very low across all outcomes. CONCLUSION: Anticoagulation is associated with a reduced risk of stroke and death but an increased risk of bleeding. The quality of the evidence is very poor. Randomised trials are needed to better determine the effects of anticoagulation use in this population.

The root and rhizome of Salvia miltiorrhiza (Danshen in short) is a well-known herbal medicine used to treat cardiovascular diseases in the world. In China, the roots and rhizomes of several other Salvia species (Non-Danshen in short) are also used as this medicine in traditional folk medicine by local herbalists. Differences have been reported in these medicines originating from different sources, and their quality variation needs to be clearly investigated for effective clinical application. This study presented a comprehensive quality evaluation and monitoring for Danshen from 27 sampling sites and Non-Danshen from other 5 Salvia species based on a high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) and near-infrared (NIR), with the combination of chemometric models. The results showed that cryptotanshinone, tanshinone IIA, tanshinone I, salvianolic acid B, salvianic acid A sodium, dihydrotanshinone I, and rosmarinic acid in these medicines from different sources exhibited great variations. Referring to the standards in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (CP), European Pharmacopeia (EP), and United States Pharmacopeia (USP), Non-Danshen from S. brachyloma, S. castanea, S. trijuga, S. bowleyana, and S. przewalskii were assessed as unqualified, and Danshen in the Shandong Province had the best quality due to the high qualified rate. Based on random forest (RF) and partial least-squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), NIR technique could successfully monitor the quality of these medicines by discriminating the species and regions with the accuracies of 100.00 and 99.60%, respectively. Additionally, modified partial least-squares regression (MPLSR) models were successfully constructed to investigate the feasibility of NIR fingerprints for the prediction of the quality indicators in these medicines. The optimized models obtained the best results for the total of tanshinone IIA, tanshinone I, and cryptotanshinone (TTC), tanshinone IIA, and salvianolic acid B, with the relative prediction deviation (RPD) of 4.08, 3.92, and 2.46, respectively. In summary, this study demonstrated that HPLC-DAD and NIR techniques can complement each other and could be simultaneously applied for evaluating and monitoring the quality of Danshen medicines.

Among them, the concept of intelligent buildings is also known to people. Based on big data technology, cloud computing technology, and Internet of Things technology, smart buildings provide smart and convenient devices and services for smart device users. The Internet of Things technology is entering our lives at an unimaginable speed. It has been applied in many fields. Smart home, smart transportation, smart medical, smart agriculture, and smart grid are widely used in the Internet of Things technology. The application of Internet of Things technology to the construction of folk sports characteristic towns is of great significance. The construction of folk sports characteristic towns and the protection of intangible cultural heritage have the same purpose and interoperability of elements as the development of traditional cities. From the perspective of protecting folk culture and intangible cultural heritage, it is effective to promote the development of small towns with folk custom characteristics. Based on the research on the construction of folk-custom sports towns, this paper proposes a series of data model analysis and analyzes the proportion of sports preferences in the survey of volunteers in the folk-custom sports towns. The final result of the research shows that the ball games sports personnel accounted for the largest proportion, with 156 people accounting for 48.15%. This shows that about half of the people like ball sports, which proves that ball sports should be the mainstay of folk sports towns, and other sports should be supplemented by other sports.
