RESUMO

Bridge early warning based on structural health monitoring (SHM) system is of significant importance for ensuring bridge safe operation. The temperature-induced deflection (TID) is a sensitive indicator for performance degradation of continuous rigid frame bridges, but the time-lag effect makes it challenging to predict the TID accurately. A bridge early warning method based on nonlinear modeling for the TID is proposed in this article. Firstly, the SHM data of temperature and deflection of a continuous rigid frame bridge are analyzed to examine the temperature gradient variation patterns. Kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) is used to extract principal temperature components. Then, the TID is extracted through wavelet transform, and a nonlinear modeling method for the TID considering the temperature gradient is proposed using the support vector machine (SVM). Finally, the prediction errors of the KPCA-SVM algorithm are analyzed, and the early warning thresholds are determined based on the statistical patterns of the errors. The results show that the KPCA-SVM algorithm achieves high-precision nonlinear modeling for the TID while significantly reducing the computational load. The prediction results have coefficients of determination above 0.98 and fluctuate within a small range with clear statistical patterns. Setting the early warning thresholds based on the statistical patterns of errors enables dynamic and multi-level warnings for bridge structures.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To observe the therapeutic effects of Jingyuankang capsules for leukopenia in AIDS patients. METHODS: In this randomized double-blind trial, 58 patients orally took Jingyuankang capsule, analog Leucogen tablet and the HAART (highly active anti-retroviral therapy) drugs, and the other 58 patients took Leucogen tablet, analog Jingyuankang capsule and the HAART drugs all for 6 months, during which the peripheral hemogram was periodically examined to observe the therapeutic effects of Jingyuankang capsule for leukopenia of the AIDS patients. RESULTS: With good therapeutic effect for leukopenia of the AIDS patients, Jingyuankang capsule can enhance leukocyte level as effective as Leucogen tablet in treating grade I and grade II leukopenia, and more effectively than Leucogen tablet in treating grade III leukopenia. No toxic side-effects and adverse reactions were found during the treatment and in the follow-up visit. CONCLUSION: Jingyuankang capsule can effectively treat leukopenia of the AIDS patients.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Tremendous growth in nanotechnology has opened up new frontiers in fundamental and applied aspects, including the synthesis of nanoscale matter and understanding/utilizing its exotic physicochemical and optoelectronic properties. Green-synthesis methods employing either biological microorganisms or plant extracts have emerged as a simple and alternative to chemical synthesis. METHODS: In our present study, we aimed to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in combination with an aqueous extract of Coptis chinensis (CC) using a suitable ecofriendly green-synthesis way. RESULTS: In our results, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy revealed a near-absorbance peak at 450 nm, which confirmed the AgNP synthesis. The crystalline nature of the AgNPs was revealed with X-ray diffraction. Transmission electron-microscopy analysis showed spherically dispersed nanoparticles of 6-45 nm diameter. We analyzed the elementary mechanism across A549 lung carcinoma cells ahead of treatment with doses of CC-AgNPs (10 µg/mL and 25 µg/mL). The antiproliferative effect of CC-AgNPs revealed a significant decline in cell viability. Antibacterial assays with both Gram-negative (Escherichia coli) and Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria exhibited a higher zone of inhibition against S. aureus. CONCLUSION: Furthermore, CC-AgNPs regulated apoptosis using the intrinsic pathway to inhibit A549-cell proliferation. Proliferation migration and invasion were notably inhibited by CC-AgNPs, which promoted apoptosis in lung adenocarcinoma cells by regulating the apoptotic pathway.

RESUMO

The paper aimed to screen out genetic markers applicable to early diagnosis for colorectal cancer and establish apoptotic regulatory network model for colorectal cancer, and to analyze the current situation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) target, thereby providing theoretical evidence for early diagnosis and targeted therapy of colorectal cancer. Taking databases including CNKI, VIP, Wanfang data, Pub Med, and MEDLINE as main sources of literature retrieval, literatures associated with genetic markers that are applied to early diagnosis of colorectal cancer were searched and performed comprehensive and quantitative analysis by Meta analysis, hence screening genetic markers used in early diagnosis of colorectal cancer. KEGG analysis was employed to establish apoptotic regulatory network model based on screened genetic markers, and optimization was conducted on TCM targets. Through Meta analysis, seven genetic markers were screened out, including WWOX, K-ras, COX-2, P53, APC, DCC and PTEN, among which DCC has the highest diagnostic efficiency. Apoptotic regulatory network was built by KEGG analysis. Currently, it was reported that TCM has regulatory function on gene locus in apoptotic regulatory network. The apoptotic regulatory model of colorectal cancer established in this study provides theoretical evidence for early diagnosis and TCM targeted therapy of colorectal cancer in clinic.
