In coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, the relationship between disease severity and the host immune response is not fully understood. Here we performed single-cell RNA sequencing in peripheral blood samples of 5 healthy donors and 13 patients with COVID-19, including moderate, severe and convalescent cases. Through determining the transcriptional profiles of immune cells, coupled with assembled T cell receptor and B cell receptor sequences, we analyzed the functional properties of immune cells. Most cell types in patients with COVID-19 showed a strong interferon-α response and an overall acute inflammatory response. Moreover, intensive expansion of highly cytotoxic effector T cell subsets, such as CD4+ effector-GNLY (granulysin), CD8+ effector-GNLY and NKT CD160, was associated with convalescence in moderate patients. In severe patients, the immune landscape featured a deranged interferon response, profound immune exhaustion with skewed T cell receptor repertoire and broad T cell expansion. These findings illustrate the dynamic nature of immune responses during disease progression.

Signaling by ErbB receptors requires the activation of their cytoplasmic kinase domains, which is initiated by ligand binding to the receptor ectodomains. Cytoplasmic factors contributing to the activation are unknown. Here we identify members of the cytohesin protein family as such factors. Cytohesin inhibition decreased ErbB receptor autophosphorylation and signaling, whereas cytohesin overexpression stimulated receptor activation. Monitoring epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) conformation by anisotropy microscopy together with cell-free reconstitution of cytohesin-dependent receptor autophosphorylation indicate that cytohesins facilitate conformational rearrangements in the intracellular domains of dimerized receptors. Consistent with cytohesins playing a prominent role in ErbB receptor signaling, we found that cytohesin overexpression correlated with EGF signaling pathway activation in human lung adenocarcinomas. Chemical inhibition of cytohesins resulted in reduced proliferation of EGFR-dependent lung cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Our results establish cytohesins as cytoplasmic conformational activators of ErbB receptors that are of pathophysiological relevance.

The exploitation of carbon dioxide (CO2) as a sustainable, plentiful, and harmless C1 source for the catalytic synthesis of enantioenriched carboxylic acids has long been acknowledged as a pivotal task in synthetic chemistry. Herein, we present a current-driven nickel-catalyzed reductive carboxylation reaction with CO2 fixation, facilitating the formation of C(sp3)-C(sp2) bonds by circumventing the handling of moisture-sensitive organometallic reagents. This electroreductive protocol serves as a practical platform, paving the way for the synthesis of enantioenriched propargylic carboxylic acids (up to 98% enantiomeric excess) from racemic propargylic carbonates and CO2. The efficacy of this transformation is exemplified by its successful utilization in the asymmetric total synthesis of (S)-arundic acid, (R)-PIA, (S)-chizhine D, (S)-cochlearin G, and (S,S)-alexidine, thereby underscoring the potential of asymmetric electrosynthesis to achieve complex molecular architectures sustainably.

Controlling multimetallic ensembles at the atomic level is significantly challenging, particularly for high-entropy alloys with more than five elements. Herein, we report an innovative ultrasmall (∼2 nm) PtFeCoNiCuZn high-entropy intermetallic (PFCNCZ-HEI) with a well-ordered structure synthesized by using the space-confined strategy. By exploiting these combined metals, the PFCNCZ-HEI nanoparticles achieve an ultrahigh mass activity of 2.403 A mgPt-1 at 0.90 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode for the oxygen reduction reaction, which is up to 19-fold higher than that of state-of-the-art commercial Pt/C. A proton exchange membrane fuel cell assembled with PFCNCZ-HEI as the cathode (0.03 mgPt cm-2) exhibits a power density of 1.4 W cm-2 and a high mass-normalized rated power of 45 W mgPt-1. Furthermore, theoretical calculations reveal that the outer electrons of the non-noble-metal atoms on the surface of the PFCNCZ-HEI nanoparticle are modulated to show characteristics of multiple active centers. This work offers a promising catalyst design direction for developing highly ordered HEI nanoparticles for electrocatalysis.

Uvaol (UV), a pentacyclic triterpene found in olives and virgin olive oil, is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects in various disease models. While olive oil is reported to reduce obesity and insulin resistance, the specific impact of UV on liver lipid metabolism and its molecular mechanisms are not fully understood. In this study, hepatic lipid accumulation was measured using oil red O staining, and protein expression levels in liver cells were assessed via Western blot analysis. Apoptosis was evaluated through cell viability and caspase 3 activity assays. UV treatment reduced lipid accumulation, fatty acid uptake, apoptosis, and ER stress in palmitate-treated liver cells. Additionally, UV enhanced fatty acid oxidation. Mechanistically, increased SIRT6 expression and autophagy were observed in UV-treated cells. SIRT6-targeted siRNA or 3-methyladenine blocked the effects of UV in hyperlipidemic cells. In conclusion, UV improves SIRT6/autophagy signaling, reducing lipid deposition and apoptosis in liver cells under high lipid conditions. This in vitro study provides strong evidence for potential therapeutic strategies for hepatic steatosis.

BACKGROUND: Lung cancer is a fatal complication of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) with a poor prognosis. However, the association between individual exposure to air pollutants and lung cancer development in patients with IPF is unknown. This study aimed to assess the effect of individual exposure to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) on lung cancer development in patients with IPF. METHODS: We enrolled 1085 patients from an IPF cohort in the Republic of Korea (mean age 65.6 years, males 80.6%). We estimated individual-level long-term exposures to NO2 at the patients' residential addresses using a national-scale exposure prediction model based on data from air quality regulatory monitoring stations. To evaluate the association between NO2 levels and lung cancer development in IPF, we used an individual- and area-level covariates adjusted model as our primary model. RESULTS: The estimated average annual NO2 concentration was 23.1 ppb. During a median follow-up of 4.3 years, 86 patients (7.9%) developed lung cancer. NO2 concentration was associated with lung cancer development in an unadjusted model (HR 1.219; p=0.042), while a marginal association was found in the primary model (HR 1.280; p=0.084). When NO2 concentration was stratified by the median value (21.0 ppb), exposure to high NO2 levels (≥21.0 ppb) was associated with a 2.0-fold increase in the risk of lung cancer development (HR 2.023; p=0.047) in the primary model. CONCLUSION: Individual exposure to high NO2 levels may increase the risk of lung cancer development in patients with IPF.

Developing a robust artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) system with a self-powered triboelectric sensor for harsh environment is challenging because environmental fluctuations are reflected in triboelectric signals. This study presents an environmentally robust triboelectric tire monitoring system with deep learning to capture driving information in the triboelectric signals generated from tire-road friction. The optimization of the process and structure of a laser-induced graphene (LIG) electrode layer in the triboelectric tire is conducted, enabling the tire to detect universal driving information for vehicles/robotic mobility, including rotation speeds of 200-2000 rpm and contact fractions of line. Employing a hybrid model combining short-term Fourier transform with a convolution neural network-long short-term memory, the LIG-based triboelectric tire monitoring (LTTM) system decouples the driving information, such as traffic lines and road states, from varied environmental conditions of humidity (10%-90%) and temperatures (50-70 °C). The real-time line and road state recognition of the LTTM system is confirmed on a mobile platform across diverse environmental conditions, including fog, dampness, intense sunlight, and heat shimmer. This work provides an environmentally robust monitoring AIoT system by introducing a self-powered triboelectric sensor and hybrid deep learning for smart mobility.

RESUMO

Detection and analysis of viral genomes with Nanopore sequencing has shown great promise in the surveillance of pathogen outbreaks. However, the number of virus detection pipelines supporting Nanopore sequencing is very limited. Here, we present VirPipe, a new pipeline for the detection of viral genomes from Nanopore or Illumina sequencing input featuring streamlined installation and customization. BACKGROUND: The cancer-immunity cycle (CI cycle) provides a theoretical framework to illustrate the process of the anticancer immune response. Recently, the update of the CI cycle theory emphasizes the importance of tumor's immunological phenotype. However, there is lack of immunological phenotype of pan-cancer based on CI cycle theory. METHODS: Here, we applied a visualizing method termed 'cancer immunogram' to visualize the state of CI cycle of 8460 solid tumors from TCGA cohort. Unsupervised clustering of the cancer immunogram was performed using the nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) analysis. We applied an evolutionary genomics approach (dN/dS ratio) to evaluate the clonal selection patterns of tumors with distinct immunogram subtypes. RESULTS: We defined four major CI cycle patterns across 32 cancer types using a cancer immunogram approach. Immunogram-I was characterized by 'hot' and 'exhausted' features, indicating a favorable prognosis. Strikingly, immunogram-II, immunogram-III, and immunogram-IV represented distinct immunosuppressive patterns of 'cold' tumor. Immunogram-II was characterized by 'cold' and 'radical' features, which represented increased expression of immune inhibitor molecules and high levels of positive selection, indicating the worst prognosis. Immunogram-III was characterized by 'cold' and 'recognizable' features and upregulated expression of MHC I molecules. Immunogram-IV was characterized by 'cold' and 'inert' features, which represented overall immunosuppression, lower levels of immunoediting and positive selection, and accumulation of more tumor neoantigens. In particular, favorable overall survival was observed in metastatic urothelial cancer patients with immunogram-I and immunogram-IV after immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy. Meanwhile, a higher response rate to ICI therapy was observed in metastatic gastric cancer patients with immunogram-I phenotype. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings provide new insight into the interaction between immunity and cancer evolution, which may contribute to optimizing immunotherapy strategies.

Hepatitis E virus (HEV), an emerging zoonotic pathogen, poses a significant public health concern worldwide. Recently, rat HEV (Rocahepevirus ratti genotype C1; HEV-C1) has been reported to cause zoonotic infections and hepatitis in humans. Human infections with HEV-C1 are considered to be underestimated worldwide due to limited knowledge of transmission routes, genome epidemiology, and the risk assessment of zoonosis associated with these viruses. A total of 186 wild Norway rats (Rattus norvegicus) were collected from the Republic of Korea (ROK) between 2011 and 2021. The prevalence of HEV-C1 RNA was 8 of 180 (4.4%) by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction. We first reported three nearly whole-genome sequences of HEV-C1 newly acquired from urban rats in the ROK. Phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that Korea-indigenous HEV-C1 formed an independent genetic group with those derived from R. norvegicus rats in other countries, indicating geographical and genetic diversity. Our findings provide critical insights into the molecular prevalence, genome epidemiology, and zoonotic potential of Rocahepevirus. This report raises awareness of the presence of Rocahepevirus-related hepatitis E among physicians in the ROK.

With the global pandemic and the continuous mutations of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the need for effective and broadly neutralizing treatments has become increasingly urgent. This study introduces a novel strategy that targets two aspects simultaneously, using bifunctional antibodies to inhibit both the attachment of SARS-CoV-2 to host cell membranes and viral fusion. We developed pioneering IgG4-(HR2)4 bifunctional antibodies by creating immunoglobulin G4-based and phage display-derived human monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that specifically bind to the SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain, engineered with four heptad repeat 2 (HR2) peptides. Our in vitro experiments demonstrate the superior neutralization efficacy of these engineered antibodies against various SARS-CoV-2 variants, ranging from original SARS-CoV-2 strain to the recently emerged Omicron variants, as well as SARS-CoV, outperforming the parental mAb. Notably, intravenous monotherapy with the bifunctional antibody neutralizes a SARS-CoV-2 variant in a murine model without causing significant toxicity. In summary, this study unveils the significant potential of HR2 peptide-driven bifunctional antibodies as a potent and versatile strategy for mitigating SARS-CoV-2 infections. This approach offers a promising avenue for rapid development and management in the face of the continuously evolving SARS-CoV-2 variants, holding substantial promise for pandemic control.

Orthohantaviruses, etiological agents of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome, pose a critical public health threat worldwide. Hantaan orthohantavirus (HTNV) outbreaks are particularly endemic in Gyeonggi Province in northern area of the Republic of Korea (ROK). Small mammals were collected from three regions in the Gyeonggi Province during 2017 and 2018. Serological and molecular prevalence of HTNV was 25/201 (12.4%) and 10/25 (40%), respectively. A novel nanopore-based diagnostic assay using a cost-efficient Flongle chip was developed to rapidly and sensitively detect HTNV infection in rodent specimens within 3 h. A rapid phylogeographical surveillance of HTNV at high-resolution phylogeny was established using the amplicon-based Flongle sequencing. In total, seven whole-genome sequences of HTNV were newly obtained from wild rodents collected in Paju-si (Gaekhyeon-ri) and Yeoncheon-gun (Hyeonga-ri and Wangnim-ri), Gyeonggi Province. Phylogenetic analyses revealed well-supported evolutionary divergence and genetic diversity, enhancing the resolution of the phylogeographic map of orthohantaviruses in the ROK. Incongruences in phylogenetic patterns were identified among HTNV tripartite genomes, suggesting differential evolution for each segment. These findings provide crucial insights into on-site diagnostics, genome-based surveillance, and the evolutionary dynamics of orthohantaviruses to mitigate hantaviral outbreaks in HFRS-endemic areas in the ROK.

OBJECTIVE: Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the regions with the highest burdens of HIV and hepatitis B virus (HBV), but data on the impact of antiretroviral therapy (ART) on HBV DNA suppression is limited. In this study, we aimed to determine the prevalence and associated factors of a positive hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) among people living with HIV, and assess the suppression of ART on HBV replication in people living with HIV in Sierra Leone. METHODS: A cross-sectional study was designed to recruit people living with HIV aged 18 years or older in ten public hospitals in Sierra Leone between August 2022 and January 2023. Statistical analyses were performed using R software. Logistic regression analysis was used to assess factors independently associated with positive HBsAg and HBV DNA suppression. RESULTS: Of the 3106 people living with HIV recruited in this study, 2311 (74.4%) were women. The median age was 36 years, 166 (5.3%) had serological evidence of HBV vaccination. The overall prevalence of HBsAg positivity was 12.0% (95% CI: 10.9% to 13.2%). Male sex (adjusted OR (aOR) 2.11, 95% CI: 1.67 to 2.68; p<0.001) and being separated (aOR 1.83, 95% CI: 1.06 to 3.16, p=0.031; reference group: being married) were independent predictors of HBsAg seropositivity. Among 331 people living with HIV and HBV receiving ART, 242 (73.1%) achieved HBV DNA suppression (below 20 IU/mL). HBV suppression rate was higher in HIV-virally suppressed patients than those with unsuppressed HIV viral load (p<0.001). In addition, the male sex was more likely to have unsuppressed HBV DNA (aOR 1.17, 95% CI: 1.17 to 3.21; p=0.010). CONCLUSIONS: We reported a high prevalence of HBsAg seropositivity and low HBV immunisation coverage in people living with HIV in Sierra Leone. In addition, we observed that ART can efficiently result in a viral suppression rate of HBV infection. Therefore, achieving the global target of eliminating HBV infection by 2030 requires accelerated access to care for people living with HIV and HBV, including HBV testing, antiviral treatment and hepatitis B vaccination.

BACKGROUND: Dysregulation of lipid metabolism is implicated in the pathogenesis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). However, the association between the blood lipid profiles and the prognosis of IPF is not well defined. We aimed to identify the impacts of lipid profiles on prognosis in patients with IPF. METHODS: Clinical data of 371 patients with IPF (145 and 226 in the derivation and validation cohorts, respectively), including serum lipid profiles (total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, apolipoprotein A-I [Apo A-I], and apolipoprotein B), were retrospectively collected. The association with mortality was analyzed using the Cox proportional hazard model. RESULTS: In the derivation cohort, the mean age was 67.5 years, 86.2% were men, and 30.3% died during the follow-up (median: 18.0 months). Non-survivors showed lower lung function and greater gender-age-physiology scores than survivors. Among the serum lipid profiles, the levels of triglyceride and Apo A-I were significantly lower in non-survivors than in survivors. In the multivariate Cox analysis, low Apo A-I levels (< 140 mg/dL) were independently associated with the risk of mortality (hazard ratio 3.910, 95% confidence interval 1.170-13.069; P = 0.027), when adjusted for smoking history, body mass index, GAP score, and antifibrotic agent use. In both derivation and validation cohorts, patients with low Apo A-I levels (< 140 mg/dL) had worse survival (median survival: [derivation] 34.0 months vs. not reached, P = 0.003; [validation] 40.0 vs. 53.0 months, P = 0.027) than those with high Apo A-I levels in the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis. CONCLUSIONS: Our results indicate that low serum Apo A-1 levels are an independent predictor of mortality in patients with IPF, suggesting the utility of serum Apo A-I as a prognostic biomarker in IPF.

BACKGROUND: Smoking status has been linked to the development of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). However, the effect of smoking on the prognosis of patients with IPF is unclear. We aimed to investigate the association between smoking status and all-cause mortality or hospitalisation by using national health claims data. METHODS: IPF cases were defined as people who visited medical institutions between January 2002 and December 2018 with IPF and rare incurable disease exempted calculation codes from the National Health Insurance Database. Total 10,182 patients with available data on smoking status were included in this study. Ever-smoking status was assigned to individuals with a history of smoking ≥ 6 pack-years. The multivariable Cox proportional hazard model was used to evaluate the association between smoking status and prognosis. RESULTS: In the entire cohort, the mean age was 69.4 years, 73.9% were males, and 45.2% were ever smokers (current smokers: 14.2%; former smokers: 31.0%). Current smokers (hazard ratio [HR]: 0.709; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.643-0.782) and former smokers (HR: 0.926; 95% CI: 0.862-0.996) were independently associated with all-cause mortality compared with non-smokers. Current smokers (HR: 0.884; 95% CI: 0.827-0.945) and former smokers (HR: 0.909; 95% CI: 0.862-0.959) were also associated with a reduced risk of all-cause hospitalisation compared with non-smokers. A non-linear association between smoking amount and prognosis was found in a spline HR curve and showed increasing risk below 6 pack-years. CONCLUSION: Ever-smoking status may be associated with favourable clinical outcomes in patients with IPF.

BACKGROUND: Despite the importance of recognizing interstitial lung abnormalities, screening methods using computer-based quantitative analysis are not well developed, and studies on the subject with an Asian population are rare. We aimed to identify the prevalence and progression rate of interstitial lung abnormality evaluated by an automated quantification system in the Korean population. METHODS: A total of 2,890 healthy participants in a health screening program (mean age: 49 years, men: 79.5%) with serial chest computed tomography images obtained at least 5 years apart were included. Quantitative lung fibrosis scores were measured on the chest images by an automated quantification system. Interstitial lung abnormalities were defined as a score ≥ 3, and progression as any score increased above baseline. RESULTS: Interstitial lung abnormalities were identified in 251 participants (8.6%), who were older and had a higher body mass index. The prevalence increased with age. Quantification of the follow-up images (median interval: 6.5 years) showed that 23.5% (59/251) of participants initially diagnosed with interstitial lung abnormality exhibited progression, and 11% had developed abnormalities (290/2639). Older age, higher body mass index, and higher erythrocyte sedimentation rate were independent risk factors for progression or development. The interstitial lung abnormality group had worse survival on follow-up (5-year mortality: 3.4% vs. 1.5%; P = 0.010). CONCLUSIONS: Interstitial lung abnormality could be identified in one-tenth of the participants, and a quarter of them showed progression. Older age, higher body mass index and higher erythrocyte sedimentation rate increased the risk of development or progression of interstitial lung abnormality.

Although the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) from steatosis to steatohepatitis (NASH) and cirrhosis remains poorly understood, a critical role for dysregulated innate immunity has emerged. We examined the utility of ALT-100, a monoclonal antibody (mAb), in reducing NAFLD severity and progression to NASH/hepatic fibrosis. ALT-100 neutralizes eNAMPT (extracellular nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase), a novel damage-associated molecular pattern protein (DAMP) and Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) ligand. Histologic and biochemical markers were measured in liver tissues and plasma from human NAFLD subjects and NAFLD mice (streptozotocin/high-fat diet-STZ/HFD, 12 weeks). Human NAFLD subjects (n = 5) exhibited significantly increased NAMPT hepatic expression and significantly elevated plasma levels of eNAMPT, IL-6, Ang-2, and IL-1RA compared to healthy controls, with IL-6 and Ang-2 levels significantly increased in NASH non-survivors. Untreated STZ/HFD-exposed mice displayed significant increases in NAFLD activity scores, liver triglycerides, NAMPT hepatic expression, plasma cytokine levels (eNAMPT, IL-6, and TNFα), and histologic evidence of hepatocyte ballooning and hepatic fibrosis. Mice receiving the eNAMPT-neutralizing ALT-100 mAb (0.4 mg/kg/week, IP, weeks 9 to 12) exhibited marked attenuation of each index of NASH progression/severity. Thus, activation of the eNAMPT/TLR4 inflammatory pathway contributes to NAFLD severity and NASH/hepatic fibrosis. ALT-100 is potentially an effective therapeutic approach to address this unmet NAFLD need.

Background: Recovery time is a crucial factor in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of both patients and endoscopy centers. Propofol is often preferred due to its fast onset and minimal side effects. Remimazolam is a new intravenous sedative agent, characterized by its rapid onset of action, quick recovery and organ-independent metabolism. Importantly, its effect can be specifically antagonized by flumazenil. The primary goal of this study is to compare the recovery time of remimazolam besylate and propofol anesthesia during endoscopic procedures in elderly patients. Methods: 60 patients aged 65-95 years who underwent gastrointestinal endoscopy were randomly and equally assigned to two groups: the remimazolam group (Group R) and the propofol group (Group P). The primary measure was the recovery time, defined as the time from discontinuing remimazolam or propofol until reaching an Observer's Assessment of Alertness and Sedation scale (OAA/S) score of 5 (responds readily to name spoken in normal tone). The time required to achieve an OAA/S score of 3 (responds after name spoken loudly or repeatedly along with glazed marked ptosis) was also recorded and compared. Results: The recovery time for Group R (2.6 ± 1.6 min) was significantly shorter than that for Group P (10.8 ± 3.0 min), with a 95% confidence interval (CI): 6.949-9.431 min, p <0.001. Similarly, the time to attain an OAA/S score of 3 was significantly less in Group R (1.6 ± 0.9 min) compared to Group P (9.6 ± 2.6 min), with a 95% CI: 6.930-8.957 min, p <0.001. Conclusion: Our study demonstrated that remimazolam anesthesia combined with flumazenil antagonism causes a shorter recovery time for elderly patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopy compared to propofol. Remimazolam followed by flumazenil antagonism provides a promising alternative to propofol for geriatric patients, particularly during gastrointestinal endoscopy.

BACKGROUND: To further clarify the acne profile of Chinese adult women, we included 1,156,703 adult women. An artificial intelligence algorithm was used to analyze images taken by high-resolution mobile phones to further explore acne levels in Chinese adult women. METHOD: In this study, we assessed the severity of acne by evaluating patients' selfies through a smartphone application. Furthermore, we gathered basic user information through a questionnaire, including details such as age, gender, skin sensitivity, and dietary habits. RESULTS: This study showed a gradual decrease in acne severity from the age of 25 years. A trough was reached between the ages of 40 and 44, followed by a gradual increase in acne severity. In terms of skin problems and acne severity, we have found that oily skin, hypersensitive skin, frequent makeup application and unhealthy dietary habits can affect the severity of acne. For environment and acne severity, we observed that developed city levels, cold seasons and high altitude and strong radiation affect acne severity in adult women. For the results of the AI analyses, the severity of blackheads, pores, dark circles and skin roughness were positively associated with acne severity in adult women. CONCLUSIONS: AI analysis of high-res phone images in Chinese adult women reveals acne severity trends. Severity decreases after 25, hits a low at 40-44, then gradually rises. Skin type, sensitivity, makeup, diet, urbanization, seasons, altitude, and radiation impact acne. Blackheads, pores, dark circles, and skin roughness are linked to acne severity. These findings inform personalized skincare and public health strategies for adult women.
