Educação permanente em saúde: instrumento de transformação do trabalho de enfermeiros / Permanent education in healthcare: instrument of transformation of nurses work
The aim of the study is to know the view nurses working in a teaching hospital have about permanent education. It is a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, which had the participation of 11 nurses of a teaching hospital, located in southern region of Rio Grande do Sul. Datacollection was performed in May 2014, through semi-structured interviews, and analyzed according to the Thematic Analysis. The results showed that nurses see permanent education as a continuing education, for reflection and practice transformation, that promotes higher quality care. The difficulty professionals have to participate in activities, due to lack of people to replace them, lack of optimization of time, and of personal interest, is highlighted. The strategy is one of action planning with the teams. The study highlights that Permanent Education in Healthcare must be understood as a tool to promote the workers improvement, and constructive changes in the work process.
