Estilo de vida em portadores de diabetes mellitus: um enfoque diferenciado para a prática da enfermagem / Lifestyle with type 2 mellitus diabetes: a differential approach to teaching of nursing

RESUMO

The purpose of this qualitative approach is to describe "the lifestyle of patients with type 2 mellitus diabetes", analyze and discuss about it, as far as their daily routine is concerned. The theoritical aspect in reference was patterned on the nursing model of Roger, Logan and Tierney (1980, 1981 and 1983) and it has focused attention on these people's lifestyle. It look place at a Health Unit of Health Municipal Secretariat (City Hall Vitória-ES). The patients this aimed group has attended three meetings and they emphasized some relevant information, pointing out these thematic units Eating habits (un)concern A patient option; Diabetes disease Expressing the feeling and knoledge (or not); Family living Exclusion or interaction ?; The ways of physical fitness A mobility issue...
