INTERACTION BETWEEN NATURAL POLYPHENOL RESVERATROL AND IMMUNE SYSTEM: BIOCHEMICAL ASPECTS.

The article explains the biochemical aspects of interaction of natural polyphenol resveratrol and immune system. The molecular mechanisms of action of resveratrol are given. The anti-inflammatory effect of resveratrol is described in detail. The relationship between resveratrol and tumor macrophages was analyzed. It has been shown that resveratrol can have an activating, suppressive and modeling effect on the cells of immune system, as well as exhibit a suppressive effect on inflammatory and tumor processes.

A CLINICAL CASE OF DIFFUSE TOXIC GOITER WITH ENDOCRINE OPHTHALMOPATHY AND MANIFESTATIONS IN THE DENTAL SYSTEM IN A 15-YEAR-OLD CHILD.

Diffuse toxic goiter (DTG) is an autoimmune disease caused by antibodies against thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) receptors. Combinations of DTG with other autoimmune diseases such as endocrine ophthalmopathy, pretibial myxedema and acropathy are often observed in clinical practice. Along with this pathology, the patient has hypodynamia and, as a result, the development of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Aim - to analyze the comprehensive clinical observation of the diagnosis and treatment of DTZ with EOP of a child aged 15 years. Material and methods. Analysis of medical history data, comprehensive examination, including fixation of the physiological and dental status, supervision of patient K., 15 years old, who was on inpatient treatment in the children's department of the State Medical Institution "OKB No. 1" in Tyumen. Conclusion. This case report demonstrates symptoms of diffuse toxic goiter with ophthalmopathy that may manifest on only one side. It shows a decrease in functional parameters, manifestations in the dental system, due to a decrease in habitual motor activity, which corresponds to the clinical picture of manifestations of periodontal disease. In addition, it shows the possibility of relapse of the disease after clinical and laboratory remission during medication intake, what may be an indication for surgical treatment. Practitioners need to remember about this pathology and the need for its timely diagnosis, including specialists in related fields.

THERAPEUTIC USE OF RESVERATROL IN THE TREATMENT OF NEUROLOGICAL AND ENDOCRINOLOGICAL PATIENTS.

The article represents the data characterizing the use of resveratrol in the treatment of various diseases, including endocrinological and neurological. It was shown that resveratrol is widely used in the treatment of various diseases due to its ability to actively suppress the inflammatory process. At the same time, in autoimmune diseases resveratrol inhibits the function of the entire population of T-cells, but when it comes to the neoplastic process, it only inhibits the activity of a subpopulation of T-cells (Treg). Thus, resveratrol can be recommended in the treatment of any diseases associated with the activation of the T-cell immunity.

FEATURES OF MANAGEMENT OF AUTOIMMUNE THYROIDITIS IN CHILDREN: A CASE REPORT.

The article reflects the main links of pathogenesis and diagnostic criteria for autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) and subclinical hypothyroidism as well as presents formulated features of signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and therapy of this disease in children. Here, we present a case report of an adolescent patient with AIT that was treated with L-thyroxine. The feature of this case was the development of laboratory-confirmed drug-induced hyperthyroidism against the background of hypersensitivity to the drug, what required correction of the therapy.

A CHILD WITH AUTOIMMUNE POLYGLANDULAR SYNDROME TYPE 1. DIAGNOSTIC CHALLENGES (CASE REPORT).

Autoimmune Polyglandular Syndrome type 1 (APS-1) is a rare autoimmune disorder inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern. We present a clinical case of APS-1 in a 10-year-old child. The crux of this case was the lack of awareness to the disease and its complex flow, which resulted in complications during treatment. The progressive nature of the disease promoted further decline in child's condition. Moreover, there was an issue with mother's compliance, resulting in spontaneous and unwarranted drug cancelation.

[Specific features of brain tumors and their surgical treatment of first 2 years of life infants].

The authors present a retrospective analysis of results of examination and surgical treatment of 74 infants not older than 24 months with brain tumors of different localization, operated in the same clinic during 15 years. Attention is paid to specific clinical course, character of blastomatous process, surgical strategy and postoperative period in this age category of infants.
