ABSTRACT

N6-methyladenosine(m6A)represents one of the most abundant modifications in eukaryotes RNA.M6A modification is catalyzed and modified by m6A methyltransferases and demethylases. The fates of m6A-modified mRNAs rely on the functions of distinct"reader"proteins that recognize them, which may affect the splicing, processing, translation or degradation of the target mRNAs.Methyltransferase-like 3(METTL3)is a catalytic core component of m6A methyltransferase compound, whose abnormal expression could lead to disordered m6A modifications and further influence the proliferation, invasion, migration and drug resistance of tumor cells. As the functions of METTL3 have been explored in depth,METTL3 inhibitors have become research hotspots. Therefore, this review focus on the different target molecules and downstream signaling pathways affected by METTL3 with the assistance of different readers in the tumorigenesis and progression of urologic tumors, and summarizes the research progress of METTL3 inhibitors,in the hope to provide insights for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tumors.

ABSTRACT

The patient complained of painless mass in the right ear for 3 months. The ipsilateral ear was 1/2 thicker than contralateral one and felt stiff without elasticity. There was limited eminence in cavum conchae about 1 mm in height and about 6 mm x 10 mm in size with clear boundary. which felt hard without tenderness. X-ray showed a long oval nodular calcification with clear but irregular boundary in cavum conchae under the right auricle, the size of which was about 4 mm x 7 mm. The patient was diagnosed right auricle cartilage calcification.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the reliability of axial view of patella with the knee joint flexed at 60 and 90 degrees on imaging diagnosis of patellar subluxation with DR (digital radiography). Methods 60 cases confirmed patella subluxation were reviewed retrospectively. In addition to routine anteroposterior and lateral DR views, axial DR views of patella with the knee flexed at 60 degrees and 90 degrees were taken meanwhile. Results Of the 60 cases, 45 failed to provide any patellar problems, while the other 15 cases revealed suspicious imaging view of patella subluxation in their normal AP and lateral DR views. In the axial DR views of patella with the knee flexed at 60 degrees and 90 degrees, 50, 4 and 6 cases revealed subluxation, suspicious subluxation and normal alignment of patella. Conclusion Axial DR view of patella with the knee joint flexed at 60 and 90 degrees could provide helpful roentgenographic information in determining the existence of patella subluxation.
