ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate medication adherence and its influencing factors in community-based hypertensive patients in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province, and lay the foundation for the development of targeted compliance interventions. Methods Between July 2015 and October 2016, a multi-stage cluster sampling method was used to conduct a community-based diagnostic survey in the Pearl River Delta region.A total of 1 829 community-based hypertension patients in this survey population were used to investigate medication adherence, the factors of which were derived through a multi-factor logistics regression analysis. Results The average medication-adherence score of hypertensive patients surveyed in this study was (4.6 ± 1.8), and patients with good medication adherence accounted for 62.82%(1 149/1 829).There were significant differences in medication adherence among patients according to their age, household registration types, marital status, level of education, employment status, medical payment methods, per capita monthly household income, drinking status, and family history of hypertension (P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis found that medication adherence was affected substantially by the type of household registration:local household types (OR= 0.537, 95% CI: 0.415-0.695); education level: college, bachelor and above (OR=2.139,95% CI:1.100-4.160); employment status: self-paying (OR=0.591, 95% CI: 0.376-0.930); and a family history of hypertension (OR= 1.279, 95% CI: 1.012-1.617).Conclusions It is necessary to pay more attention to medication adherence in patients with hypertension in communities.Given the influencing factors and characteristics illuminated by this study,it is suggested that various measures be taken to prevent and intervene in poor medication adherence, to improve the curative effect of hypertensive patients in communities.

ABSTRACT

There are a variety of serological changes in the blood circulation of patients with lupus nephritis, including complement, autoantibodies, immunoglobulin and cytokines and so on.These substances not only involved in the development of the disease leads to renal pathological damage, but also can be used as a biomarker to reflect changes in disease. In this paper, the detection of serum markers in lupus nephritis diagnosis, determine the pathological classification, disease activity, evaluation of therapeutic effect and prognosis were reviewed,in order to provide scientific basis for the early diagnosis and treatment of lupus nephritis by monitoring the changes of serum indicators.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the proportion of different types of stones in patients with kidney stones in Xinjiang, and to analyze the relationship between stone composition and urine physicochemical properties and protein composition. Methods Through a case-control study, 355 patients with kidney stones who were hospitalized in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People′s Hospital from March to November 2010 were enrolled in the same period, and non-urinary tract diseases were hospitalized and excluded from other diseases or complications of the 30 cases of renal impairment in the control group. The composition of the stones was analyzed. The main components of the stones were divided into oxalate group, carbonic acid group, uric acid group and phosphate group. The physicochemical properties and protein composition of 24 h urine were analyzed by ion selective electrode method, enzymatic and immunoturbidimetric assay. The difference between the two samples was analyzed by t test, and the differences between the two groups were analyzed by F-test and LSD-t test. Results Compared with the control group(30 cases), urine pH(5.33±0.32) was significantly lower in the oxalate group (244 cases), 24 h urinary calcium and 24 h uric acid[(7.68±0.35) mmol, (3.48±0.23)mmol (pH=5.874,P9.436, P8.442,P<0.05).Conclusion There may be a correlation between renal stone composition with urine metabolic changes.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate epidemic infections of the three infective diseases such as Hepatitis C, Syphilis, AIDS in the pregnant women in Xinyi. Methods The anti-hepatitis C virus antibody (anti-HCV), anti-Treponema pallidum antibody (anti-TP) and anti-human immunodeficiency virus (anti-HIV) were tested on the samples from 9,092 pregnant women hospitalized for birth delivery in the obstetric departments of hospitals and obstetric clinics. Results The detection rates of the three infective diseases were1.54 ‰ (14/9092) for anti -HCV, 5.83 ‰(53/9092) for anti-TP, and 0.55 ‰(5/9092) for anti-HIV.There was no statistically signifi-cant difference in the infection rate by the three pathogens among the age group. Conclusion The infection rates of HCV, TP and HIV are high among the pregnant women in Xinyi. The prenatal screening should be further strength-ened to promote the prenatal and postnatal care.

ABSTRACT

It is difficult to distinguish the inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) from other tissues inside the IAN canal due to their similar CT values in the X image which are smaller than that of the bones. The direct reconstruction, therefore, is difficult to achieve the effects. The traditional clinical treatments mainly rely on doctors' manually drawing the X images so that some subjective results could not be avoided. This paper proposes the partition reconstruction of IAN canal based on shape features. According to the anatomical features of the IAN canal, we divided the image into three parts and treated the three parts differently. For the first, the directly part of the mandibular, we used Shape-driven Level-set Algorithm Restrained by Local Information (BSLARLI) segment IAN canal. For the second part, the mandibular body, we used Space B-spline curve fitting IAN canal's center, then along the center curve established the cross section. And for the third part, the mental foramen, we used an adaptive threshold Canny algorithm to extract IAN canal's edge to find center curve, and then along it established the cross section similarly. Finally we used the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) to reconstruct the CT data as mentioned above. The VTK reconstruction result by setting a different opacity and color values of tissues CT data can perspectively display the INA canal clearly. The reconstruction result by using this method is smoother than that using the segmentation results and the anatomical structure of mental foramen position is similar to the real tissues, so it provides an effective method for locating the spatial position of the IAN canal for implant surgeries.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of Laparoscopic treatment of gallbladder stones combined choledochoscope biliary stones .Methods 120 patients with gallbladder and common bile duct stones were divided into the observation group and control group according to different treatments methods ,who were treated with laparoscopy combined choledochoscope therapy and conventional open surgery respectively .Basic surgical, the efficacy and the occurrence of postoperative complications of the two groups were compared .Results The stone clearance rates of the two groups were 100%.However,the surgical trauma, blood loss, postoperative discharge time ,bed time and the total length of hospital stay of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group ( t=6.655, 6.386,4.657,7.675,all P<0.05).The incidence of complications of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (8.6% vs 30.0%,χ2 =9.276,P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery com-bined treatment method choledochoscope with less trauma ,quicker recovery advantages of common bile duct stones in patients with gallstones have a definite therapeutic effect ,which should be widely applied .
