RESUMEN

Foodborne Campylobacter is recognized as the leading causes of the bacterial diarrheal illness in both developing and developed countries. C. jejuni and C. coli caused 95% of the human campylobacterisosis. Bacteria culture has been recognized as the "Gold standard" for the diagnosis of the Campylobacter infection. The National Institute for Communicable Disease Control and Prevention, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention coordinated the experienced researchers from China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment and other local Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to write up the standards for entitled Isolation and Identification of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli (T/CPMA 006-2019). The standard is drafted with principles of emphasizing the scientific, normative, applicability and feasible nature. This group standard recommended the procedures and steps for the isolation and identification of C. jejuni and C.coli from variant samples. The standard aims to improve the capacity for Campylobacter identification in China.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the effect of case management mode on self-management ability of enterostomy patients. Methods A total of 104 cases of enterostomy patients were divided into 54 cases in control group and 50 cases in experimental group according to admission time.Used Enterostomal Therapist(ET) as the leading organization of the experimental group to establishing personal files by coordinating team psychological counselors, dietitians, specialists and nurses for individualized nursing services. Patients would receive a three-month nursing practice of case management. The control group would be given nursing intervention and health guidance according to the standardized nursing procedure for enterostomy. After discharge, the nurse-in-charge followed up patients′ treatment completion status. The incidence of enterostomy complications and self-management ability of the stoma in two groups were evaluated at 3 months after surgery. Results In experimental group, the nursing management score of enterostomy was 33.48 ± 4.90, the score of information management was 12.84 ± 2.21, thesymptom observation score was 12.36 ± 1.55, the daily life management score was 30.00 ± 3.40, the psychological management score was 11.64 ± 1.55. Meanwhile,in control group, the nursing management score of enterostomy was 29.74 ± 8.34, the score of information management was 12.10 ± 1.74, the symptom observation score was 11.25 ± 2.56, the daily life management score was 26.59 ± 5.22, the psychological management score was 10.74 ± 2.59. Nursing management score of enterostomy, symptom observation, daily life management, psychological management score between two groups showed significant difference (t=1.529-2.808, P<0.01 or 0.05). The incidence of peristomal dermatitis was 8.0% (4/50) in the experimental group, much lower than that in the control group which was 27.8%(15/54).The difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.801, P<0.05). Conclusions Nursing practice of case management can improve the life quality and accelerate the social adaptability of enterostomy patients.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the effect of cucumber to moisten lips to alleviate xerostomia in patients with gastrointestinal decompression. Methods 180 patients were consecutively recruited at the department of gastric & intestinal surgery of the affiliated hospital of Guilin medical univemity from August 2010 to December 2011,they were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,80 in each group. The observation group was given cucumber to moisten their lips besides conventional care, and the control group was only given conventional care. Finally we compared the two groups, and display difference between them in comfort degree of oral cavity. Results The comfort degree and oral cavity conditions of the observation group were better than those of the control group. Conclusions Giving cucumber to moisten lips can alleviate xerostomia and improve comfort level in patients with gastrointestinal decompression.

RESUMEN

The clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and treatment of 5 cases of simple virilizing with 211-hydroxylase deficiency were analyzed. The average age was 17 at the first hospital visit. The manifestation included abnormal external genitalia at birth, no secondary sexual characteristics developed during adolescence and no menstrual cycles, and their near-adult height (NAH) was affected. The chromosome karyotype of the patients was 46 XX. The CT scans showed bilateral adrenal hyperplasia. The testosterone levels were (665 ± 334 ) μg/L, which were reduced to (81 ± 25 ) μg/L after dexamethasone suppression. The levels of adrenocorticotropic hormone were 123 (57 - 563) ng/L and < 5 ng/L respectively before and after dexamethasone suppression test. Early diagnosis and early treatment is particularly important for improvement of the disease outcomes.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The minimal latency and conduction velocity of F-wave have been widely used for the detection of varied neurological disorders, whereas the significance and the diagnostic value for the other parameters of F wave are seldom reported. How sensitive are these parameters in the earlier evaluation of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) ?OBJECTIVE: To investigate the evaluating value of F-wave parameters for the earlier DPN, providing references for earlier clinical rehabilitative intervention.DESIGN: Case-control study with type 2 diabetic patients and health people as subjects.SETTING: The wards and outpatients in the Departments of Neurology and Endocrinology, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University.PARTICIPANTS: Between January 1999 and December 2000, there were totally 106 patients with type 2 diabetic mellitus(DM) at the wards and outpatients in the department of neurology and endocrinology in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, including 64 males and 42 females, with the average age of (55 ± 13) years and the average DM course of (10.2 ± 4. 8)years. Meanwhile, 75 healthy volunteers were enrolled in the control group, including 45 males and 30 females, with the mean age of(54 ± 12) years. Two groups were matched in age and leg length( P > 0. 05).INTERVENTIONS: Using Nicolet Viking-Ⅳ, F wave and M-wave parameters of tibial nerve stimulation were analyzed.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The minimum latency (Fmin), duration (Fdur), amplitude(Famp) and area(Farca) of F wave; and the amplitude (Mamp)and aera(Marea) of M-wave.neuropathy( n = 30), there were 8 cases(the abnormal rate being 27% ) with increased Fdur, 4(13% ) with prolonged Fmin and 2(7% ) with increased F/Mamp and F/Marea increased significantly in the patients with DPN( n = 76).mality rate of Fdur was significantly higher (96% vs 21%, P <0.01), the abnormality rate of Fmin was significantly lower(51% vs 76%, P < 0.05 ) and there were no significant difference of other parameters( P > 0.05) in the patients with mild DPN subgroup ( n = 47).diagnostic parameter for earlier DPN, and therefore detect the sub-clinical DPN, and the proximal may be earlier involved than the distal.
