RESUMEN

Objective To understand the current status and analyze the factors affecting the work engagement of wound therapists, and to provide references for promoting their work engagement. Methods From September 2022 to March 2023,wound therapists who were certificated by European Wound Management Association for more than 3 months were selected as subjects by convenient sampling method. The data was collected by the General Information Questionnaire,Hospitals and Wound Clinics Questionnaire,Areas of Worklife Scale and Specialty Nurse Work Engagement Scale, and the factors influencing the work engagement of wound therapists were analyzed by univariate and multiple liner regression. Results A total of 219 wound therapists were included. The total mean score of areas of worklife was(99.37±13.70);the average score of items was(3.55±0.49);the total mean score of the specialty nurse work engagement was(140.01±16.00);the average score of items was(4.38±0.50).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that reward, community, fairness, and values were factors influencing the work engagement of wound therapists(P<0.05).Conclusion The higher average score of each dimension of areas of worklife could predict the higher level of work engagement for wound therapists.Nursing managers should pay more attention to the job-matching degree of specialty nurses and adopt scientific and effective management methods to improve the job-matching,which will help improve the specialty nurses'work engagement and satisfaction and reduce job burnout.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE To provide reference for clinically safe and rational drug use through mining and analyzing adverse drug event (AE) signals induced by valproic acid (VPA). METHODS Reporting Odds Ratio (ROR) and Bayesian Confidence Propagation Neural Network (BCPNN) methods of Measures of Disproportionality were performed to mine and analyze the data of VPA-related AE reports in the US FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database from the first quarter of 2013 to the fourth quarter of 2022. RESULTS A total of 1 253 (ROR) and 1 109 (BCPNN) valid signals of preferred terms (PT) were obtained after data processing by the two analysis methods, involving 27 system organs (SOC), mainly focusing on nervous system disorders, psychiatric disorders, general disorders and administration site conditions. Signals that did not appear in the instruction were associated with 2 SOCs: ear and labyrinth disorders, infections and infestations. CONCLUSIONS As a first-line broad-spectrum anti-epileptic drug, attention should also be paid to eye toxicity and infection risk in the clinical application in addition to paying attention to common adverse events in the instruction.

RESUMEN

Objective:The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between nurses ′ work environment and menopausal symptoms. Methods:A multicenter, cross-sectional study was performed in Beijing, China, distributed to 2 194 registered nurses at 37 hospitals. Using a self-designed questionnaire included individual personal details, and the hospital working environment. Menopausal symptoms were evaluated using a modified Kupperman index (KMI) scoring system. Results:The average natural age at menopause stag was 47.64 years with 63.91% (1 328/2 078) nurses without menopausal symptoms. Logistic analysis showed that menopausal symptoms were co-dependently influenced by the following: to frequently contact with patient bodily fluids during your work ( P=0.037); be intimidated in your work ( P<0.01); to often or occasionally face death at work ( P=0.013 and P=0.002). Nurses suffered more stressful environment with high prevalence of menopausal symptoms. Conclusions:The mid-age nurses with menopausal symptoms were related with work environment. Managers should pay more attention to this problem.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore the application effect of "Disease-Characteristics Nursing Quality Improvement" Program (DNQIP) based on Kotter's change model in continuous improvement of patients' satisfaction and nursing quality. Methods Applicate Kotter's Change Model to implement DNQIP among 61 wards. The differences of patients' satisfaction and nursing quality among 2012 were compared (DNQIP had not been carried out by the whole hospital), 2014 (DNQIP had been carried out by the whole 61 wards) and 2016 (the 5-year-strategy had been realized). Results The 3-year-scores of patients' satisfaction were(95.94 ± 1.53), (98.18 ± 0.69), (99.43 ± 0.18) points and they were statistically significant (F=31 768.863,P=0.000).The 3-year-scores of nursing quality were (93.96 ± 0.56), (98.56 ± 0.43), (99.62 ± 0.23) points and they were statistically significant (F=3 004.598,P=0.000). The sores of 2014 were statistically improved compared with 2012 and the sores of 2016 were statistically improved compared with 2014 (P<0.01). Conclusions DNQIP based on Kotter's change model is an effective method to improve the patients′satisfaction and nursing quality.
