RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection on male semen quality through meta-analysis and retrospec-tive study. Methods Literature retrieval was conducted in PubMed,CNKI,Wanfang Database and CBM database.Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 15.0.The male patients meeting the inclusion criteria from our hospital were enrolled as study subjects.General demographic data and semen parameters were collected.Single factor analysis of variance and graphing of semen parameters were con-ducted using GraphPad Prism 9.5.1.The test level was set at 0.05.Results A total of 9 studies involving 267 patients were included in the meta-analysis.There were no significant differences in sperm concentration and survival rate before and after SARS-CoV-2 infec-tion(P>0.05).Semen volume and percentage of normal morphology significantly increased during 1-3 months after infection(P=0.005,P=0.010),with semen volume recovering to pre-infection level>3 months later(P>0.05).Sperm motility and progressive mo-tility increased>3 months after infection(P=0.046,P=0.045),recovering to pre-infection levels(P=0.099,P=0.098).Sperm DNA fragmentation index may be temporarily elevated within 3 months after infection but gradually decreased>3 months later. In the retrospective study of 8 cases, there were no statistical differences in semen parameters at different stages compared with pre-infection(P>0.05),but semen parameters showed a negative trend during<1 month after infection and recovered to pre-infection levels>3 months later. Conclusion The results of this laboratory study are basically consistent with the meta-analysis.SARS-CoV-2 infection in males only caused short-term negative effects on sperm morphology, vitality and DNA integrity, but generally recovered to pre-infection levels>3 months after infection.Due to the limitations of study subjects and sample size, the impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection on male semen quality needs to be further confirmed by long-term large-scale prospective studies.

RESUMEN

Objective:To study on the effects of gastrointestinal function and portal vein hemodynamics applicated with abdominal hot compressing with evodiae fructus and crude salt after hepatectomy. Methods:A total of 60 patients who underwent hepatectomy were randomly divided into 2 groups by random number table method, with 30 in each group. The control group was treated with conventional basic western medicine, while the treatment group was treated with medicinal evodiae fructus and crude salt hot compress on abdomen on the basis of the control group. The portal vein diameter (PVD), portal venous flow velocity (PVV), recovery time of main clinical indexes, clinical symptom scores and liver function indexes were dynamically monitored at different observation time points. Results:The scores of abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group 3 days after treatment ( t values were -3.489 and -2.740, respectively, all Ps<0.05). The recovery time of bowel sounds, first exhaust time and first defecation time in the treatment group were significantly earlier than those in the control group ( t values were -3.622, -4.297 and -4.151, respectively, all Ps<0.01). With the extension of treatment time, ALT in 2 groups showed a gradual downward trend ( P<0.05 or P<0.01), DBIL in control group was significantly higher at 3 days after treatment than before ( t=-2.157, P=0.039), and TBIL was significantly lower at 7 days after treatment than before ( t=2.175, P=0.038). The PVD ( t values were 3.528, 2.160) and PVV ( t values were 11.096, 4.264) of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group 3 and 5 days after treatment ( P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion:Early application of abdominal hot compressing with evodiae fructus and crude salt hot compress on abdomen after hepatectomy can improve the portal vein blood circulation and promote the rehabilitation of gastrointestinal function in patients with hepatectomy.

RESUMEN

Objective To study the relation between expressions of transforming growth factor ?1 (TGF-?1), transforming growth factor receptor type Ⅰ (T?RⅠ) and cell proliferation, cell cycle in gallbladder carcinomas, to disclose the mechanism of TGF-?1 and T?RⅠin the gallbladder carcinogenesis, and to evaluate their values in the prognosis of gallbladder carcinomas. Methods Thirty five gallbladder carcinomas age (57.94? 4.61) years, 14 male cases and 21 female cases comprised 32 adenocarcinomas, 2 adenosquamous carcinoma and 1 squamous cell carcinomas. Formalin fixed, paraffin embedded sections from gallbladder carcinomas were immunostained with TGF-?1, T?RⅠ, PCNA, cyclin E antibodies by immunochemical assays. Gallbladder adenoma and chronic cholecystitis were collected as non-malignant controls. Patients of gallbladder carcinomas were followed up. Results Positive immunostaining rate of TGF-?1 was 57.14% in gallbladder carcinomas, which was significantly higher than that in gallbladder adenomas and chronic cholecystitis (P

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the role of loss of heterozygosity (LOH) of SMAD2 and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters of primary gastric carcinoma. Methods Fifty cases of primary gastric carcinoma were monitored by polymerase chain reaction -single strand conformation polymorphism (PCR- SSCP) and silver staining to detect SMAD2 LOH. Results The incidence of LOH was 40.0%(22/45) at D18S450 and 33.3%(16/48)at D18S460 . LOH occurred in SMAD2 was 55.1%(27/49).The rate of SMAD2 LOH was 72.0% (18/25) in primary gastric carcinoma with lymph node metastasis , which was significantly higher than that in without lymph node metastasis (P
